made up of different types of sugar. I used pure cane granulated sugar. Rock candy is formed when
sugar is dissolved in boiling water and is cooled and placed in a glass jar with the wooden skewer.

Yeasts consume organic compounds (e.g. sugar) to make ATP in a process called fermentation,
creating ethanol and carbon dioxide. Dried yeast samples are in a quiescent state; that is, the yeast are
in a state of arrested cell growth. Given the differing expiration dates of our yeast samples, we
hypothesized that the yeast nearest to their expiration dates would take the longest to produce carbon
dioxide.

Above all, its specific properties have not yet been fully exploited, which can be partially attributed to
a shortage of easily available statistical methods in the past and a lack of awareness on the side of the
researchers. In the following sections we will first discuss the properties of various measurement
scales and subsequently focus on the continuous rating scale in online surveys in more detail. Sub3
sequently we discuss the problem of outliers and nonsense data in survey research and apply
classical and robust factor analysis to our data sample. Finally, we simulate the occurrence of outliers
(„noise‟) in our data set and illustrate how different levels of noise impact the results of factor analytic
procedures.
Measurement
Scaling The usage of surveys in IS research has been heavily criticized in the past for lack of
psychometric rigor and appropriate modeling techniques. In order to remedy this problem, general
standards for conducting surveys have to be improved and constantly questioned (Pinsonneault
Kraemer, 1993; Newsted et al., 1996). When constructing a questionnaire, researchers are confronted
with the task of finding an appropriate scale to measure the construct(s) under investigation. Usually
this is done by consulting previous literature and adopting a set of items which has been previously
tested for validity and reliability. A

Both of these draw our attention to the headline. The headline is Heroes of the flood underneath the
words the flood there is a picture of the flood, this could be juxtaposition. The juxtaposition links the
word flood with the image. The sub heading, just below the headline, is a complete contrast to the
headline as the sub heading is black. At the bottom of the page there are photos of heroes and
survivors this adds to the sense of sadness, also the headline and pictures have a torn frame to give a

Foam balls lightweight concrete (FBLWC) has been a feature in the structural construction owing to
its advantages over the normal weight concrete (NWC). It is a concrete weighing substantially less

potato by reading of my graph were the %change in mass is 0, as this shows that at this point there
is no net movement of water hence the two areas have equal solute potentials. (In this case the
