Information Technology Manager
Reviewed and assessed the company’s current Network, Desktop, WAN and LAN configuration
and pricing plans, making suggestions to bring pricing while increasing the company’s
bandwidth.
Worked with outside vendors to reduce monthly payments on Cellular, Microwave and Wired
connections to all three company locations.
Served as Project Manager for the transformation of the new SBI program which is now the
company’s primary program for all of its business needs.
Assessed their current server situation which included active Servers, Virtual Servers and Back-
up servers and suggested an overhaul and upgrade of the current items. With this upgrade we
purchased four new Dell Servers and one NAS. This upgrade moved several server licenses to
new servers and decommissioned servers that were not needed. Saving the company money on
server licenses that were not needed along with increasing its data storage capability.
Noticed that the company did not have a test environment with their SBI program development
company, I created a virtual test environment so that changes and upgrades may be tested by the
departments before being moved into the production environment. This saved the company
considerable man hours in unforeseen downtime due to SBI program updates and changes.
Prepared and presented a back-up and redundancy plan which led into the company’s current
Disaster Recovery plan (DR). This plan purchased four additional Dell servers with enough drive
space to mirror the current domain controllers and back-up domain controllers. This is something
the company did not have in place.
Created a desktop image and recovery program which folded into the newly designed Disaster
Recovery plan. This placed an additional four desktops and three laptops imaged and ready for
quick deployment. Each system was imaged with Microsoft Windows 10 Operating System.
Prepared and initiated a project plan to upgrade all desktops from the current Windows 7
Operating system to Windows 10 Operating system by the end of July 2016. This included end
user training on the new operating system.
Prepared and presented a project plan for the company’s first video conferencing devices. This
connected all three locations via Microsoft Skype for Business video conferencing. Saving the
company substantial funds in travel costs.
Designed and created the company’s internal content delivery system which broadcasted
company information and up dates in English and Spanish.
Worked with Accounting in making sure all bills for the IT Department were reviewed and paid
in a timely manner.
Created an inventory and accountability program for the company’s wireless devices. Making
sure all devices (cell phones / tablets / routers) were inventoried and accounted for each company
location. This decreased the wireless bill for the company considerably since many devices were
listed on the bills but not being utilized.
Working as a Microsoft Office 365 Administrator, I served as the SharePoint and Outlook 365
manager. Created the company’s SharePoint page which I configured for each department to post
information and updates within one central point. This included reference items for Microsoft
