1. Project Duration – Aug 2010 – Sep 2012
Project Name – EMG (Event Mediation Gateway) Prepaid provisioning
Client - Vodafone
Technologies Used - Java/J2EE, Linux Application server, and Oracle 10g as database.
Role - Application Specialist
Event Mediation Gateway is a mediation system that is aimed at automating the entire process of services
enabling, disabling, charging, etc for prepaid subscribers.
The system is designed to achieve the following interfaces for the existing prepaid system.
• Services Provisioning (Activation / Deactivation)
• Periodic Charging (Normal/Dynamic)
• Barring/Unbarring Of Service
• Bulk Provisioning
• Content /GPRS Charging
• Friend and family (FnF).
Responsibilities Undertaken:-
• Resolving client problems over mail and phone

• Performing reporting, number churning, new service configuration, application configuration.
• Hardware Migration, application support during planned and unplanned activities like DB, OS
patching, server crash.
• Ensuring ticket closure within the SLA.
• Implementation of new business requirements and CRs .
2. Project Duration – Oct 2012 – Dec 2014
Project Name – Revenue Assurance Solution (RA MoneyMap)
Client - Vodafone
Vendor - cvidya
Technologies Used - Java/J2EE, AIX Application server, Windows servers, Websphere and
Oracle (RAC) 11g as database.
Role - Technical Team Leader
RA Money Map application received the call related CDR's from MSC,SMSC,IN ONLINE (e.g
Prepaid),GGSN,SGSN,MMSC,EMM Postpaid,EMM Prepaid,BSCS UDR,BSCS TAP OUT,TAP IN
ONLINE,IN OFFLINE(Bulk Usages data),INTEC,INTEROUTE,NGN and ICR GPRS/NON GPRS sources
and after loading and processing the National and International Roaming, Prepaid and Postpaid
data , application is generating the control wise KPI's which is accessed by the end users to
check the data discrepancy between different-2 controls.
Responsibilities Undertaken:-
• Revenue Assurance module had 200 key performance indicators (KPI). As a Team Leader
primary responsibility involved meeting all these KPIs with the agreed SLA on daily basis
• Revenue Assurance module was integrated with different upstream systems like IN, Mediation,
Billing, MSC, Roaming, Interconnect etc. and primary responsible was to load the CDRs received
from upstream to check the data discrepancy between controls.
• Analyze the CDR statistic report and in case of any downward trend analyse the problem area
and communicate with the different application owners and resolve it.
• RA application enhancement as and when requirement came from customer.
• Handling SLA management, Release management, Change management problem management
and complains related activities.
• Co-ordination with Unix, database and middleware team to resolve the application related
issues.
• Performing documentation like SOP creation/updation, RCA document, day todays issues
documentation along with the solution.
• Implementation of application and database backup policies, backup restoration & testing, CPU
and Memory augmentation, alerts analysis, Reporting.

• Ensuring closure of business users tickets within the defined SLA.

Project Name – Mediation Comptel Instant Link (Provisioning)
Client - Vodafone
Vendor - Comptel
Technologies Used - Java/J2EE, AIX Application server, and Oracle 11g as database, Nokia &
NT HLR.
Role - Technical Team Leader
Comptel InstantLink is a provisioning system through which a service provider can create
subscribers, modify and query subscriber data, activate new services to existing subscribers, and
delete subscribers and their services.
Responsibilities Undertaken:-
 Comptel Application Installation & up-gradation
• As per pre-requisites installation & augmentation of hardware (CPU, Mem etc),storage
allocation, OS with the help of concern team to install the Comptel application.
• Application installation & configuration of application & DB related parameters during the
installation.
• Performing trouble shooting in case of any issue during the installation.
• Post installation performing SIT to check the application functionality.
• Performing functional testing with all the possible provisioning scenarios e.g service activation,
suspension, reactivation, barring etc.
• Upgraded Comptel application from version 7.2 to 8.1 in production environment on five
application servers, and resolved all the DB, application, unix related issues during the up-
gradation.
 Detailed Description-
• Application configuration during H/W and Database migrations.
• Application configuration through backup restoration (application +DB) to ensure the
application recovery time during system crash.
• Handling PAN INDIA Vodafone operation of Mediation IL application and performing and
Documenting Root cause analysis for the incident happened at the application end and
representing in front of client.
• Providing response to client within defined SLA over phone /mail and constant monitoring,
guiding and troubleshooting and documenting errors.
• Working on S1, S2 and S3 tickets and Closing /updating the same after proper discussion with
the client, ensure Remedy (BMC) tickets closure within agreed SLA.
• Understanding new requirements of client related to applications and implementing flawlessly.
• Ensuring all Systems have alerts /alarming process in place.

• Achieving SLA as per agreed with the customer and sharing the SLA report with the
management as well as customer.
• Handling DB and hardware migration activities and providing application support during OS and
DB upgrade and patching activities.
• Periodically performing application health checkup and handling Infra management process
which involved H/W augmentation at the application server.
• Documenting all the activity related steps which need to be performed by team at the
application end during planned/unplanned downtimes.
• Documentation of application configuration related changes and day to day operational issues
(Simple & Complex) along with the solution and sharing with the team members to mitigate the
risk and improve resolution time.
• Operation manual documentation (contains all the application & surrounding processes)
preparation and presentation in front of client and auditors.
• Initiating periodically discussion with the vendor and client about ongoing critical issues and
new changes and documentation of progress report.
• Ensuring all the Database and application backup policies are in place, and backup is happening
properly without failure.
• Application configuration changes and testing post shifting application on HA and DR servers,
documentation of activity &preparation of test report.
 Process Handling
• Complains- Handling complains related activities and periodically sharing audit related data with
external and internal team to make the system complaint also performing internal and external
system Audit with auditors.
• Change management- Performing change management process to ensuring impact of a
changes are recorded, reviewed and evaluated, prior to introduction of changes in the
production environment all planned/unplanned activities/changes goes in to the production
after proper approval process only.
• Release management processes- Any new business CR /DM deployed in to the production
system via release management process. It undertakes the planning, design, build, configuration
and testing of hardware and software to create a set of Release components for a live
environment. It defines the process for managing and controlling the distribution of software
and hardware releases with minimum disruption to services.
• Problem Management – In case of Major & critical incident performing problem management
and the purpose of this activity is
 To prevent the recurrence of incidents
 To minimize the impact of incidents which cannot be prevented.
 To identify the Root Cause of the problem(s) using analysis (Root Cause Analysis - RCA)
and ensure implementation of the workaround and / or resolution for the problem.
 To further initiate and investigate (if justified in terms of cost and time) the Root Cause
Analysis.
 To ensure problems are resolved within committed targets, monitored against Service
Level Agreements (SLAs) and that the process is measured
• SLA Management – Participating in business meetings during SLA agreement discussion and
ensuring closure of all the tickets and issues within the agreed SLA.

Comviva Project Details
Worked as a Lead Engineer in Comviva the organization with a wide range of experiences in PreTUPS
System in house developed application, it was a prepaid recharge based system where retailer can do
the topup to customer using STK (Sim Tool Kit), PreTUPS application was using SMSC and IN as a
surrounding applications to through the topup request.
Ops Roles and Responsibilities –
• Providing application support to the clients VODAFONE, IDEA, GRAMEEN PHONE, AIRCEL,AKTEL.
and Bangla link in Bangladesh, MOBINIL in Egypt, Umniah and Mobilecom in Jordan, Sonatel in
Senegal, Hutchinson in Jakarta (Indonesia) and Orange in Cameroon. This involves all the
operational activities, reconciliation, and maintaining the performance of the system and
working on the new solutions, which are to be implemented in the system.
• Worked in critical Situations of Application crashing or Unix Server Crashing and got success in
resuming services in worst situations and maintaining High Availability of the System.
• Preparing the activities plans and sharing with the clients.
• Working on SOAP, CS3,CP6 and Cobra interfaces, which is being used to communicate with
Intelligent Network ( Ericsson, Nokia, Comverse, Siemens) and PreTUPS Application.
• Configuring the SMSC gateway, this involves integrating the operator’s SMSC to PreTUps system.
It includes setting up of the SMSC gateway, which is done by using the Kannel version 1.4.0
which is an open source product. This gateway send/receive the SMS coming from operator
SMSC and send/receive to the PreTUPS system. In Kannel we are using CIMD and SMPP
protocols for communication whichever is being supported by the operator SMSC.
• Performing and Documenting Root cause Analysis for the incident happened at the application
end.
• Testing of application as soon as it is prepared and handed over. Testing includes configuration
checks, Front-end (GUI) checks, database checks and overall application functioning.
• Performance testing (load , functional, etc.) at the time of implementation at the client side to
measure the maximum capacity of the application .
• Integrating final system according to the different-different recharge services like prepaid
recharge, postpaid, recharge through Euronet, WEB ,MTV (Modern trade vendors)etc.
• Based on input received from client, configuration of new IN node, SMSC gateway, Alarms at
application end.
• Application related alerts configuration and proactively monitoring to avoid unplanned service
outage.
• Responsible for code compilation and deployment related to new application features.
• Providing KT to new resources.

5.0 Application server, Apache for web and Oracle 10g as database. SMSC Gateway with
CIMD and SMPP protocols, crystal report.
Responsibilities Undertaken:-
• Installation, configuration of PreTUPS application over Sun Solaris10, AIX, Linux platforms.
• Based on input received from SMSC, configuration of SMSC Gateway at application end for load
testing and to send/receive live TopUp requests from SMSC.
• Performing SIT, load testing, functional testing, through Simulator as well as in live scenario
using live SMSC and IN to check the application and as server capacity ,also preparing TPS wise
reports to capture database session, OS and DB time_wait,close_wait,CPU and memory
utilization.
• Conducted application UAT , GUI and STK menu (Distributor, Sales executive and Retailer)
testing at client side.
• Configuration of IN and SMSC node at the application end.
• Provided application training to business users at the client side.
• Resolution and fixing of application related issues/ bugs post implementation support.
• Performing planned/unplanned downtime activities
• Migration of Pretups application from Linux to AIX platform (N+1 architecture) of Idea –IBM
vTopup application.

Role - Application Specialist Event Mediation Gateway is a mediation system that is aimed at automating the entire process of services enabling, disabling, charging, etc for prepaid subscribers. Role - Technical Team Leader RA Money Map application received the call related CDR's from MSC,SMSC,IN ONLINE (e.g Prepaid),GGSN,SGSN,MMSC,EMM Postpaid,EMM Prepaid,BSCS UDR,BSCS TAP OUT,TAP IN ONLINE,IN OFFLINE(Bulk Usages data),INTEC,INTEROUTE,NGN and ICR GPRS/NON GPRS sources and after loading and processing the National and International Roaming, Prepaid and Postpaid data , application is generating the control wise KPI's which is accessed by the end users to check the data discrepancy between different-2 controls. Responsibilities Undertaken:- • Revenue Assurance module had 200 key performance indicators (KPI). As a Team Leader primary responsibility involved meeting all these KPIs with the agreed SLA on daily basis • Revenue Assurance module was integrated with different upstream systems like IN, Mediation, Billing, MSC, Roaming, Interconnect etc. and primary responsible was to load the CDRs received from upstream to check the data discrepancy between controls. • Analyze the CDR statistic report and in case of any downward trend analyse the problem area and communicate with the different application owners and resolve it. • RA application enhancement as and when requirement came from customer. • Handling SLA management, Release management, Change management problem management and complains related activities. • Co-ordination with Unix, database and middleware team to resolve the application related issues. • Performing documentation like SOP creation/updation, RCA document, day todays issues documentation along with the solution. • Implementation of application and database backup policies, backup restoration & testing, CPU and Memory augmentation, alerts analysis, Reporting. 2

Project Name – Mediation Comptel Instant Link (Provisioning) Client - Vodafone Vendor - Comptel Technologies Used - Java/J2EE, AIX Application server, and Oracle 11g as database, Nokia & NT HLR. Role - Technical Team Leader Comptel InstantLink is a provisioning system through which a service provider can create subscribers, modify and query subscriber data, activate new services to existing subscribers, and delete subscribers and their services. Responsibilities Undertaken:-  Comptel Application Installation & up-gradation • As per pre-requisites installation & augmentation of hardware (CPU, Mem etc),storage allocation, OS with the help of concern team to install the Comptel application. • Application installation & configuration of application & DB related parameters during the installation. • Performing trouble shooting in case of any issue during the installation. • Post installation performing SIT to check the application functionality. • Performing functional testing with all the possible provisioning scenarios e.g service activation, suspension, reactivation, barring etc. • Upgraded Comptel application from version 7.2 to 8.1 in production environment on five application servers, and resolved all the DB, application, unix related issues during the up- gradation.  Detailed Description- • Application configuration during H/W and Database migrations. • Application configuration through backup restoration (application +DB) to ensure the application recovery time during system crash. • Handling PAN INDIA Vodafone operation of Mediation IL application and performing and Documenting Root cause analysis for the incident happened at the application end and representing in front of client. • Providing response to client within defined SLA over phone /mail and constant monitoring, guiding and troubleshooting and documenting errors. • Working on S1, S2 and S3 tickets and Closing /updating the same after proper discussion with the client, ensure Remedy (BMC) tickets closure within agreed SLA. • Understanding new requirements of client related to applications and implementing flawlessly. • Ensuring all Systems have alerts /alarming process in place. 3
  • 4. • Achieving SLA as per agreed with the customer and sharing the SLA report with the management as well as customer. • Handling DB and hardware migration activities and providing application support during OS and DB upgrade and patching activities. • Periodically performing application health checkup and handling Infra management process which involved H/W augmentation at the application server. • Documenting all the activity related steps which need to be performed by team at the application end during planned/unplanned downtimes. • Documentation of application configuration related changes and day to day operational issues (Simple & Complex) along with the solution and sharing with the team members to mitigate the risk and improve resolution time. • Operation manual documentation (contains all the application & surrounding processes) preparation and presentation in front of client and auditors. • Initiating periodically discussion with the vendor and client about ongoing critical issues and new changes and documentation of progress report. • Ensuring all the Database and application backup policies are in place, and backup is happening properly without failure. • Application configuration changes and testing post shifting application on HA and DR servers, documentation of activity &preparation of test report.  Process Handling • Complains- Handling complains related activities and periodically sharing audit related data with external and internal team to make the system complaint also performing internal and external system Audit with auditors. • Change management- Performing change management process to ensuring impact of a changes are recorded, reviewed and evaluated, prior to introduction of changes in the production environment all planned/unplanned activities/changes goes in to the production after proper approval process only. • Release management processes- Any new business CR /DM deployed in to the production system via release management process. It undertakes the planning, design, build, configuration and testing of hardware and software to create a set of Release components for a live environment. It defines the process for managing and controlling the distribution of software and hardware releases with minimum disruption to services. • Problem Management – In case of Major & critical incident performing problem management and the purpose of this activity is  To prevent the recurrence of incidents  To minimize the impact of incidents which cannot be prevented.  To identify the Root Cause of the problem(s) using analysis (Root Cause Analysis - RCA) and ensure implementation of the workaround and / or resolution for the problem.  To further initiate and investigate (if justified in terms of cost and time) the Root Cause Analysis.  To ensure problems are resolved within committed targets, monitored against Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and that the process is measured • SLA Management – Participating in business meetings during SLA agreement discussion and ensuring closure of all the tickets and issues within the agreed SLA. 4

Comviva Project Details Worked as a Lead Engineer in Comviva the organization with a wide range of experiences in PreTUPS System in house developed application, it was a prepaid recharge based system where retailer can do the topup to customer using STK (Sim Tool Kit), PreTUPS application was using SMSC and IN as a surrounding applications to through the topup request. Ops Roles and Responsibilities – • Providing application support to the clients VODAFONE, IDEA, GRAMEEN PHONE, AIRCEL,AKTEL. and Bangla link in Bangladesh, MOBINIL in Egypt, Umniah and Mobilecom in Jordan, Sonatel in Senegal, Hutchinson in Jakarta (Indonesia) and Orange in Cameroon. This involves all the operational activities, reconciliation, and maintaining the performance of the system and working on the new solutions, which are to be implemented in the system. • Worked in critical Situations of Application crashing or Unix Server Crashing and got success in resuming services in worst situations and maintaining High Availability of the System. • Preparing the activities plans and sharing with the clients. • Working on SOAP, CS3,CP6 and Cobra interfaces, which is being used to communicate with Intelligent Network ( Ericsson, Nokia, Comverse, Siemens) and PreTUPS Application. • Configuring the SMSC gateway, this involves integrating the operator’s SMSC to PreTUps system. It includes setting up of the SMSC gateway, which is done by using the Kannel version 1.4.0 which is an open source product. This gateway send/receive the SMS coming from operator SMSC and send/receive to the PreTUPS system. In Kannel we are using CIMD and SMPP protocols for communication whichever is being supported by the operator SMSC. • Performing and Documenting Root cause Analysis for the incident happened at the application end. • Testing of application as soon as it is prepared and handed over. Testing includes configuration checks, Front-end (GUI) checks, database checks and overall application functioning. • Performance testing (load , functional, etc.) at the time of implementation at the client side to measure the maximum capacity of the application . • Integrating final system according to the different-different recharge services like prepaid recharge, postpaid, recharge through Euronet, WEB ,MTV (Modern trade vendors)etc. • Based on input received from client, configuration of new IN node, SMSC gateway, Alarms at application end. • Application related alerts configuration and proactively monitoring to avoid unplanned service outage. • Responsible for code compilation and deployment related to new application features. • Providing KT to new resources. 1. SMSC Gateway with CIMD and SMPP protocols, crystal report.
