Things Happened.
Shifts Happened.
#DCOlearning #sharing_experiences
It couldnt more epic when it comes to build a software.
Those Shifts are triggered by :
#DCOlearning #sharing_experiences
1. Political changes (within organization, national, local)

2. Economic (and financial)change

3. Social change (stakeholders/customers, society)

4. Technology change

5. Environmental change

6. Legal change

and sometimes worsened by contract-type
Weighted Factors from User’s Perspective
#DCOlearning #sharing_experiences
1. I can’t see IT.

2. It is bothering me.

3. It is threatening me. I can lose job.

4. Why should i share my data ?

5. IT Literacy

6. I dont get it why we need a change

7. God, why is it so expensive?

8. Integration with aliens
Most likely, here things we* would feel :
#DCOlearning #sharing_experiences
1. Exhausted
2. Frustated
3. Angry
4. Helplessness
5. Confused

CALM
Connecting Adolescents to Learning Mindfulness
1. Handle life situations with less emotional reactivity.

2. Strengthen your ability to pay attention and focus.

3. Learn e
ff
ective strategies for making wiser decisions.

4. Increase compassion for themselves and others.
It Takes Two to Tango
• We can’t put all the pressure on Project Manager (constantly educating
market about products, services, and your constraints is important)

• The smoother the customer onboarding process is, the better

• Kick-o
ff
meeting is very important milestone to communicate the charter and
cascading it to the majority of stakeholders

• Train PM to have a remarkable communication ability

• Have PMO to assist PM complying the internal project policy

• Track your progress on regular basis

PMO Guidance
PMs can sometimes drawn heavily into the project. They forget the documentation.
PMO can help.

Provide a template for documenting it
Recall (if any similar things ever made before), and Scale!
Timescales, budget, risk pro
fi
le, resource requirements, your internal org. things
Consider the bene

ts with costs+risks involved
re-plan budget, schedule, resource plan, reassess risks
Learn from the experience to improve both process and its implementation
Lessons
1. Find as many champions as possible to campaign the goodness of things you’re doing right now.

2. It’s you job to provide decision makers (CCB) with the information and analysis they need. If not, it’s your fault!

3. If the CCB are the ones that making request, keep doing the change control process. Follow good governance, for
your own sake.

4. Bind (legally) the approved CR

5. The bigger/the more complex/the more strategic your project, the change control must done in a rigorous, detailed,
and robust process

6. Deliver gradually if possible, in order to give small wins (that) users can feel.

7. If it is not you, then no one else will do.
