Isosteric heat of adsorption is one of the basic quantities in the adsorption studies, which is define as the ratio of the
infinitesimal change in the adsorbate enthalpy to the infinitesimal change in the amount adsorbed. The information
regarding the heat released is important in the kinetic studies because when heat is released due to adsorption the released
energy is partly absorbed by the solid adsorbent and partly released to surrounding. The portion absorbed by the solid
increases the particle temperature and it is this rise in temperature that slow down the adsorption kinetics because the mass
uptake controlled by the rate of cooling of the particle in the later course of adsorption
