How do you feel about your abilities to be successful and accomplish your goals? What image of yourself do you currently, or do you wish to moving forward present to the world. Keep that introspective reflection in mind as you move through this assignment, considering how your own understanding of these ideas has evolved over the years to your present level of development.
Now, pretend that you have been asked to speak to a group of middle school students on the topic of bullying as it relates to self-concept, self-esteem and self-presentation. Create a PowerPoint presentation that addresses the following:
· Keeping in mind your audience of 12-14 year olds, define self-concept, self-esteem and self-presentation.
· Analyze and explain the possible causes of bullying in the context of these three concepts.
· Analyze and explain the impact of bullying (on the victim and aggressor) of these three concepts.

This tutorial teaches mindful communication and describes frameworks useful in understanding cultural differences and gives real-life examples of misunderstandings due to such differences. Paul B. Pedersen All behaviors are learned and displayed in a cultural context. Therefore, accurate assessment, meaningful understanding, and appropriate intervention, are the, the foundations of confidence require awareness to that multicultural context. The best multicultural competencies, the basic multicultural competencies have been best described in a book by Derald Wing Sue, 1998 called the "Multicultural Counseling Competencies: Individual and Organizational Development." The three, the 34 competencies described in that book had been described in three dimensions that could be summarized as follows: First dimension, the awareness to mention, counselors' awareness of their own assumptions, values and basic, ah, biases. That means awareness of cultural heritage, awareness of their own limits and working with, ah, different cultures. Knowing about oppression, racism, discrimination as it exists and being skilled in self-improvement in changing those assumptions into a direction that they want to change to. Second dimension is understanding the world view of the culturally different client. The second dimension focuses on knowledge, facts, information that the counselor must have to be competent in another culture. It involves awareness of emotional reactions towards other racial ethnic groups, knowing the culture of the client's population and its influence on counseling and society and being skilled in mental health issues of other cultures and actively involved with other, in minority groups. The third dimension is the skill dimension, developing appropriate intervention strategies and techniques. This dimension involves awareness of religious and spiritual indigenous mental health resources. What are the resources in each cultural context in the culture of each client that is, ah, being served? Knowing how counseling fits with other cultures, institutions and assessments and being skilled in culturally appropriate counseling of indigenous people. So, the way they work with this client is going to be significantly different from the way they work with these other culturally different client. Cultural Competence is an essential aspect of counselor training. In order to begin to understand a culture, it is essential to have sustained interaction with the culture. For the final project for this course, each student will be responsible for actively investigating multicultural issues in the “real world,” by gradually immersing in a culture different from their own. The immersion project will involve experiential learning about other cultures. The intent is to increase your knowledge and sensitivity to other cultures.
In order to complete this project successfully, you will need to work on it throughout the entire course. As part of the project, each of you will select a culture different from your own and participate in at least three distinct cultural immersion experiences/observations within that culture. The idea is to gradually immerse into the different culture over the course of the term. You may use the list of suggestions below to guide your immersion process or you can devise some ideas of your own. It is essential that each experience is qualitatively different from that of your own culture and that the experiences gradually become more involved directly with the culture of choice.
1. The activities you select must include active involvement in the culture/activity. In other words, you may “observe” the culture but you may not limit the activity to passive observation. Make sure that each activity involves interaction with members of the culture, either through active participation in the activity itself or through conversations with members of the culture. Of course your third activity, the personal dialogue, already requires your active participation.
2. Submit a written narrative of your immersion activities. The paper will be 8-10 pages long (typed, double-spaced, 12 point font), This paper must include the following elements:
· Identification and Description of Population: This section must clearly identify the population you will be studying, how this population is different from you, and what your perceptions of this group are at this point in life. The description of differences should include both the obvious (visible differences, etc.) and the not so obvious (religious beliefs, sexual orientation, etc.). Please state all the differences you can identify. Your perceptions of this group should include information such as what you were told about this group as you were growing up, any beliefs/perceptions/assumptions you have about this group, what your sources of information about this group have been in the past, and why you have an interest in this group. In this section, you must make a case for how this person is different from you and why this experience will be challenging for you.

This assignment will give you an opportunity to get to know him/her and his/her culture at a deeper level.

provide opportunities for understanding cultural as well as individual differences;
provide opportunities for shared experiences such as meals, cultural events, and visits (either in person or virtual) in each other’s homes and with each other’s families;
are responsive to specific needs in specific circumstances (e.g., information, experiential learning, specific problems with agencies or customs) including those of the student or the international person;
allow them to serve as intercultural informants for each other;
Due to the pandemic you are not required to meet in person if you don't feel safe or comfortable. Instead, you can participate in virtual interactions.
These interactions are not interviews or Q&A sessions. They intend to help you develop a relationship and learn about this culture.
Keep a detailed electronic diary of your experiences with this person. This diary documents every interaction with this person, and should analyze and deal with personal reactions related to your own feelings, the situation, and the specific factors you have learned and can relate to your classroom learning experiences. The in depth details of the diary will be for you to keep and maintain.
Prepare a written report that summarizes your diary by assuring anonymity of the specific person. In this report, information about specific ethnic, racial, and cultural factors should be provided. This report should include your insights, general cult.

INTRAPERSONAL INTELLIGENCE It is the process of going inward to create meaning for ourselves. •People with intrapersonal intelligence are adept at looking inward and figuring out their own feelings, motivations and goals. They are introspective and seek understanding. They are intuitive and typically introverted. They learn best independently.

- 23. Ways to Develop Your Intrapersonal Intelligence Do individual counseling or psychotherapy work as a client. Study “maps of self” in Western psychology and/or Eastern philosophies. Learn to meditate. Listen to motivational audio- and videos. Write your autobiography. Create your own person ritual or rite of passage. Record and work with your dreams on a regular basis Read self-help books. Establish a quiet place in your home for introspection. Teach yourself something new such a skill, a language, or a body of knowledge in an area of interest to you.

Start your own business Develop an interest or hobby that sets you apart from the crowd Enroll in a class on assertiveness training or developing self-confidence Take a battery of tests designed to assess your special strengths and weaknesses in a broad range of areas Set short- and long-term goals for yourself and then follow through on them Attend a seminar designed to teach you about yourself on your “selves” (e.g. psycho synthesis, transitional analysis, psychodrama, gestalt work, etc) Keep a daily journal or diary for recording your thoughts, feeling, goals, and memories.
