IntroductionMy internship wasbased at Olney Adventist Preparatory School in Olney, Maryland. I completed my required 80 hours by serving as a member of our district wide curriculum committee and also becoming a member of our school’s PR Committee, which included me dedicating many hours to work on our school’s website.

Standardized TestingThe IowaTest of Basic Skills (ITBS) is administered every fall and Olney Prep had the highest standardized test score results in our district. Olney Prep is proud to announce that they rank in the top 3% in the nation.During our curriculum committee meeting, it was recognized that every school scored the lowest in the math computation section of the test.The curriculum committee is currently working to collect methods to facilitate our student’s growth in the area of math computation.

ConclusionOne must knowhow important they are as a leader and how great of an impact they can have on their staff, students, and the local community. This project was very valuable to my growth as a future administrator. I have learned an abundance of information that I will share with others throughout my career.
