HTML (Hypertext Markup Language )
• coding language used for web development.
CSS (Cascading Style Sheets)
• used to beautify an HTML web page, for example adding an image or a
border.
JavaScript
• used to create interactive effects on a HTML page.

Coding language which uses HTML, CSS, Java Script, JQuery and other
markup or scripting languages to code websites.

5. WHY BOOTSTRAP?
• HTML, CSS display websites perfectly only for one particular device like a
desktop .
• So will not be properly viewable in another device like a mobile.
• Imperative for developers to develop different websites compatible with
different devices.
• With the use of bootstrap, an enterprise needs to have only one website
which will be automatically resized depending on the device used.
• So Bootstrap addresses this constraint by making one website
compatible with all devices.

6. WHAT MAKES BOOTSTRAP SO “STRAPPING”?
• Grid System - a responsive, mobile first fluid system that appropriately
scales up to 12 columns as the device or viewport size increases.
• It includes predefined classes for easy layout options.
• For example, as shown below, in the mobile device the 12 columns have
been span to just one column because of which they appear vertically in
one line. This is the beauty of bootstrap.

• Tanay Shah is currently studying in Grade 12 - IBDP at Aditya Birla
World Academy (ABWA), Mumbai, prior to which he completed
ICSE at Bombay Scottish School (Mahim), Mumbai.
• He has a special interest in applied mathematics, computer
science and international economics and is a keen follower of
emerging technologies like bootstrap coding, augmented reality
and internet of things (IOT), and their impact on global society.
• Apart from coding, he enjoys playing squash, dancing and
debating, and strongly believes in equal access to education for
all.
