Role of parental influence in making career choicesadhirasable
Children might improve on the off chance that you encourage them to accomplish something tenaciously. At that point, the student may feel sufficiently animated to take up jobs or professions which he felt to be not for him. A tiny bit of motivation can go far. So, never stop short of offering encouragement to your kid.

A Comparative Analysis of the Best Practices of South Korea and Philippine Ed...ijtsrd
The quality of education in a country plays a significant relationship between the government and supports of stakeholders. This research focus on the literature review between Philippine and South Korea educational system. It is not undeniable that both countries have many similarities such as their main purpose of education is to provide educational opportunities to promote responsible and globally competitive individual. As a result of systematic analysis of the two countries, similar variables where taken into consideration for the basis of improvement of one's educational system. Based on the findings, Philippine education is outlying in some aspects of educational system in South Korea. Another remarkable thing in the Philippine educational system is the lack of government spending on education, teachers and student ration, internet services in the school and research and development. The result of the study suggested that Philippine government needs to benchmarks some good practices in south Korean educational system in order to elevate and improve our education system as well. Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

This slides describes the basic concepts of ICT, basics of Email, Emerging Technology and Digital Initiatives in Education. This presentations aligns with the UGC Paper I syllabus.
4. What is an Interactive
Student Notebook?
• A personalized textbook
• A working portfolio – all of your notes, class work, quizzes – in one
convenient spot.
What is the purpose of the notebook?
• The purpose of the interactive student notebook (ISN) is to
enable you to be a creative, independent, and reflective thinker
and writer throughout the year. Interactive student notebooks
will be used for class notes, as well as for other activities where
you will be asked to express your own ideas and process and/or
apply the information and skills learned in this class. It also helps
you review for tests.
5. Purpose
• Be a creative, independent, and
reflective thinker and writer
throughout the year.
• Express your own ideas and process
and/or apply the information and
skills learned in this class.
6. Left SideLeft Side
Right Side
Student Responses

Teacher Information
Page #
Title Date Title Date
7. Left Side
• The Left Side belongs to Mrs. Pryor
• The Left Side has all “testable” information; it’s what you
will be learning:
– Date
– Title and Unit pages
– Vocabulary
– Class, reading, and discussion notes
– Worksheets
– Table of Contents
– Study Guides
– Quizzes
– Content and Language Objectives
– Other relevant information
8. Left Side
1. Should be completely done.
2. Should clearly have both the title of the assignment at the
top and the date centered to the right of the title. The
page should be numbered at the bottom right-hand and
left-hand corner.
3. All assignments should be in chronological order by the
times they were assigned.
9. Examples of Left Side
Assignments (Teacher)
• Articles, graphs, charts, diagrams
• Notes, quizzes, tests, foldables
• Graphic Organizers / Thinking Maps
• In-class Assignments, mini-lessons
• Recording Sheets
• Etc.
10. Right Side
• Right Side is to record your thinking, reflections,
questions, thoughts, impressions, connections, and
wonderings.
• The Right Side belongs to YOU!
– Apply skills learned in class
– Use graphs, charts, Venn Diagrams, research from
internet
– Make connections between new and old learning
– Questions
– Thinking Maps
– Poems
– Songs
– Homework
– Classwork
– Brainstorming
– Sketches related to learning
– Other relevant information
11. NOTE:
• All Right Side assignments should be done only on
right sides, unless other instructed by teacher.
• Each fully-completed and correct Right Side
assignment earns a grade.
• Any missing part (date, title, incomplete, etc.)
will cause points to be deducted.
13. All of these can be done for the
Right Side of each Left Side page.
Every individual Left Side page
(even for many pages of the same
assignment) must have an
accompanying Right Side activity.
22. Student Materials
What materials do I need?
•5 Star (or comparable) 5-subject
college-ruled notebook, 8.5” x 11”
•Highlighters (multi-colored)
•Glue stick/Elmer’s glue
•Assorted color pencils
•Colored markers
•Pencil sharpener/pencil (mechanical
accepted, too)
•Scotch Tape
23. Maintaining the
Interactive Notebook
• No ripped out pages or torn corners
• No doodling that doesn’t relate to
notes
• Date, title, and number each page
– Everyone’s ISN must MATCH!
24. After being absent, be sure to
check the teacher notebook and
get caught up!
25. Deductions for Lateness and
Lack of Chronological Order
1. If a student has forgotten to bring their notebook for
that particular class when a notebook check is announced,
they may bring it by the very next calendar day, but 50%
will be deducted from their notebook score for that check.
After two calendar days, no points can be earned for that
notebook check.
2. Any Right Side assignment that is found to be out of
chronological order will cause a 10% reduction in the
overall score of a notebook evaluation.
26. Be prepared and take
great pride in your work!
Each time the notebook is
evaluated, it will constitute a test
grade. Notebook checks are
unannounced and can occur at any
random time during the school
year.
27. How long should it take
to work on my notebook?
• Normally class time is given to work on Right Side
assignments; however, they may need to be
finished at home. The expectation is that you will
revisit Left and Right Side to review the material
and prepare for tests and quizzes. Once you
have a good understanding of the kinds of
Right Side activities that can be done, it
should take you about 15/20 minutes to
complete a right side.
28. Setting up theSetting up the
Interactive StudentInteractive Student

THE ISNTHE ISN
Setting up the Interactive Student Notebook
THE ISN
29. Initial Set Up
1. The notebook should be set up following the
directions given by Mrs. Pryor in class (a copy of
these can be found on our class website and will
be the first item glued into the ISN).
2. The Table of Contents must be updated regularly
and will be checked during each notebook check.
3. Any missing or incomplete part of these
directions will cause a deduction in the overall
evaluation grade each time the notebook is
evaluated.
31. Cover
• Your cover must be clearly labeled to
include:
– ELA (or full English Language Arts)
– ISN
– Your Name
– Period
– 2013-2014
• You MAY include pictures, drawings (with
four or more colors), designs, etc. that
express who you are as a person, but this
is not required (not here, at least…).
32. Title Page
• Using photos, clippings, markers
(must use at least 4 colors), glue,
paper, and scissors, etc., decorate
the Title Page (first notebook page
visible once the ISN is opened) of
your Interactive Student Notebook
to show the many varied facets of
your role in English Language Arts as
a WORLD CHANGER.
