My Assessment I scored the lowest in musical and naturalistic intelligence. This is because I am more of a realist than a romantic. I don’t like being outdoors or wish to spend my time playing the piano. I much prefer figuring out problems that I am presented with. This is why my logical intelligence score was one of my highest. Higher than that is my intrapersonal intelligence because I tend to spend a lot of time reading alone. Therefore, I’ve gotten to know myself. Just below that score, oddly enough, is my interpersonal intelligence. I spend so much time analyzing my own emotions that I have become keen on discerning the emotions of others. My visual intelligence is high as well. I have found that during long lectures, if I doodle, I am able to remember much more. My kinesthetic intelligence is relatively lower. This is because I would much rather sit and learn as opposed to get up and move around. My linguistic intelligence is neither the lowest nor the highest. This ability has come in handy because my English teacher is constantly having us memorize Shakespeare lines!
Intrapersonal Intelligence When learning about Nature Vs. Nurture, everything we learn about can be related to our own life and our parents. I think a daily journal reflecting how we see nature and nurture in our lives would be interesting. It would not only appeal to my way of learning, but it would help me learn about myself and the material!
Spatial Intelligence This intelligence is all about the ability to see the bigger picture. When learning about Sensation and Perception, it is vital to understand just how important it is everyday. A fitting activity would be to take a simple process, like transduction, and find ways to connect it to the bigger picture or even the entire world. An example is a discussion in which we find something that we could not do without these processes.
Logical Intelligence People like me with this intelligence love to solve problems and put clues together. When learning about Neuroscience, it would be fun and helpful to be given a list of symptoms of a mentally ill person and then asked to determine what part of the brain has been affected and what illness the person has.
