2. INTRODUCTION:
• There are many questions arise in your mind
once you decided to remove your teeth.
• We are here to vanish your fear and doubts.
3. BEFORE EXTRACTION:
• First, before you go for extraction have your food
and then go. Have at least snacks or fresh juice
before you go for your extraction.
• If dentist have prescribed any tablets to be taken
before extraction, please intake that also.
• Make your mind relax. Do not stress up yourself
4. AFTER EXTRACTION:
1. ICE PACK:
• Once your tooth is removed, we will provide ice
pack to be keep in your extracted region.
• This is done to make you feel free from pain and
swelling(in rare cases).
• We will also keep a gauge in your extracted site
to stop bleeding process.
5. 2. SWALLOW YOUR SALIVA:
• Please don't spit your saliva.Swallow it for a day.
• Blood - stained saliva is normal after extraction.
Swallow it do not spit. Because by splitting you
are dislodging the clot that helps in healing.
3. DO NOT GAGGLE:
• Do not gaggle your mouth forcefully. By doing
like this also you will dislodge the clot. Gaggle
one or twice (not more than that) gently if you
want
6. 4.DON'T DISTURB THE EXTRACTED SITE
• Do not keep your tongue or fingers in your
extracted site, by doing this you will disturb the
healing process. There will be a depression in
your extraction region immediately after
extraction. It will close by its own with in a week.
• 5.HAVE FRESH JUICE
After half an hour have any fresh fruit juices or
ice creams. Have it chilled. Don't use straw for
juice. Have it by sip by sip. Because straw may
dislodge the healing clot

8. 6.HAVE MILD FOODS
• On the day of extraction kindly have soft foods
like idly, dosa, iddyappam, bread, curd rice.
• Avoid hot and spicy food items. Also, avoid
sticky and chewly items (parotta, chappathi,
burger, pizza).
• This food habits should be followed for atleast 2
days from the day of extraction for better
healing.
9. 7.BRUSH GENTLY:
• After extraction you can brush normally. But, be
careful when you brush over your extraction region.
Brush gently over there. If you can not brush in that
region with tooth brush then use your hands in that
particular site alone. Please do gently gaggle after
brushing.
8.AVOID HARMFUL HABITS
Avoid smoking, drinking.pan chewing habits if you
have for atleast 3 days from the day of extraction. If
you do not follow it, healing will not occur
immediately.
10. 9.TAKE MEDICATIONS:
• After your food, take your medications
prescribed by your dentist without fail. This will
help you to have a appropriate healing soon.
10.SALT WATER GAGGLE:
• After extraction if you feel any discomfort ,do
salt water gagging. make the water little warm,
add salt to it, then rinse your mouth with this
water gently.
11. SOME DISCOMFORT
• After extraction there will be few discomfort
experienced by patients.
• Not all but few. In case of third molar extraction
swelling will be common. It will subside within a
day.
