Terms: salivary gland, mouth, oesophagus, stomach, liver, gall bladder, 
pancreas, duodenum, small intestine, large intestine, rectum. 
Facts: 
 The food passes through the different parts of alimentary canal. 
 The different parts of alimentary canal are mouth, oesophagus, 
stomach etc. 
 The food we eat passes through mouth, oesophagus, stomach, 
duodenum, small intestine, large intestine. 
 The digestive wastes are expelled through anus.

Curricular statement: Develop factual knowledge,conceptual,procedural,meta cognitive knowledge,process skills and attitude on the passage of food through lecture method,group discussion and evaluation by questioning in group work and group discussion. Content analysis: Terms: salivary gland, mouth, oesophagus, stomach, liver, gall bladder, pancreas, duodenum, small intestine, large intestine, rectum. Facts:  The food passes through the different parts of alimentary canal.  The different parts of alimentary canal are mouth, oesophagus, stomach etc.  The food we eat passes through mouth, oesophagus, stomach, duodenum, small intestine, large intestine.  The digestive wastes are expelled through anus.
  • 3. Concepts Minor concept:  The digestion takes place in alimentary canal.  Different parts of alimentary canal involve in digestion process. Major concept:  The food passes through the different parts of alimentary canal.
