Self Organisations in Agile is extremely important. The Agile Manifesto talks about it, the Scrum Guide does. But what is it and how do we get self organising teams?
The introduction to Scrum in TapLife (http://www.taplifeapp.com/), shared in 2 hours with the product team.
After a short introduction, they talked about the current context to get some my shares.
Presentation on Innovation Games ™ - What are Innovation Games and for what you can use them... Questions over questions... ;-)
Here you get the answers!
Talk : Innovation Games : Perfecting Your Brainstorming Technique for Killer...Ben Sykes
“It is an exciting time to be alive. We seem to be on the edge of limitless technology.
I wonder if we are
trying to solve the right problems?
How many people want to see another Instagram or uber clone?”
The world needs you to be fearless in your innovation.

Innovation Games — The Seriously Fun Way to Do Work!Michael Tarnowski
Innovation Games are a set of originally market research oriented, facilitated and directed games. They are focussed, on real-time collaborative games as means of engaging customers and stakeholders to reveal what really matters to them and to get breakthrough ideas.
Use Innovation Games for such things as portfolio management, requirements management and any number of tasks that require innovative thinking, priorisation, brainstorming and cross-functional collaboration.
This presentation is part of a 4 hours workshop called "Innovation Workshop –Games and Reality". During the workshop students from the Recanati School of business in Tel Aviv University thought of games and startup related games ideas and "fought" against each other discovering if their idea has a chance to become the great big next hit.
I really liked some of the ideas, for example: a game you need to run in real life in order to "charge" your character in the game. A game you "scan" your real pet and play with it in a virtual world, including a virtual dog fight with real dogs . A real cart driving game you play wearing Google glass. The glass allows you to see virtual power ups or virtual avatars to enhance your driving experience (did someone say zombies)
For me the workshop was really fun. I hope the students had fun as well and I do hope some of these ideas will become actual games.
Design Thinking & Innovation Games : Presented by Cedric MainguyoGuild .
Accelerate Innovation: Learn why it matters and how it’s done.
Design Thinking can be used to design products, user experiences, corporate strategy or public services… Innovation Games, whose primary intent is not pure entertainment, can be applied to a broad spectrum of areas like training, hiring, generating new ideas, gathering feedback about a product or change management… The list goes on.
An increasing number of organizations have realized the enormous potential of human-centered and playful approach to innovation design and development. The growing success of Agile methods, which put a strong emphasis on people interactions, on fun and on building a creativity-friendly environment, have made Design Thinking and Innovation Games even more popular.
An introductory workshop on innovation delivered on May 19 2103 to Bedaya Center, Doha, Qatar. The objective was to explore the understanding of innovation using stories, examples and interactive exercises. The workshop was a great success and received excellent reviews filled by the attendees.

Building upon well established Scrum, XP, and lean software development methods, agile scaling frameworks such as Dean Leffingwell's Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and Scott Ambler's Disciplined Agile Delivery (DAD) address large, complex software delivery initiatives through their full delivery lifecycle from project initiation to production. These frameworks have received significant interest in both federal government and private industries, recognizing the need for continued team-based iterative and incremental adaptive approaches to software development, balanced with scaling processes and factors at the Program and Portfolio levels and organizational governance models and guidance for large enterprise engagements. This session will provide a brief overview of these two agile scaling models, address the benefits of what both are trying to accomplish, and compare and contrast specific similarities and differences.
Ideas have been the driving force of humanity. From a simple circular wheel carved from rock back in the stone ages to the first airplanes and telephones, innovative ideas have sparked off revolutionary changes in society. Now in this competitive world, ideas have become more important to us than actions. Companies have begun asking designers to generate solutions that meet the needs and desires of the consumer.
As such, there was a need to streamline and increase the efficiency of producing and sharing ideas within teams. This gave birth to several idea generation techniques, which allowed everyone to play a part in the creative process, a role allotted strictly to designers and engineers for the last few years.
Idea generation techniques meant anyone could participate in creating new ideas. It allowed people to share and build up on existing solutions, to foresee future problems, and essentially, to think big in terms of design. It brought different specializations together to create a more diverse think-tank that can tackle problems from several perspectives.
This report is divided into three parts.
First, we shall look into several idea generation techniques, both popular ones and the uncommon ones, question their uses and value by providing examples of products developed using the specific techniques.
Second, we discuss whether idea generation methods and techniques are important in coming up with new ideas? Are they the driving factor in generating ideas?
Lastly, we conclude with our personal view on idea generation techniques, along with stating which methods, if any, would we prefer to use.
Towards the end we aim to achieve a better understand of the creative thinking process as a whole and how to effectively solve all issues, design or otherwise.
We wrote this to give you a sense of IDEO’s culture—the ties that bind us together as coworkers and as people.

On 21 and 22 of March Lean Startup Summit conference took place in Amsterdam. So, I wanted to share the experience, learnings and key take-aways with you (Agile Meetup Barcelona)
I want to summarize the key take-aways of the event and also have an open discussion about some recurrent topics we had at the conference.
As Lean Startup crosses the chasm towards the corporate world it is the moment where Agile and Lean Startup can learn from each other and join forces.
Agile is a mature market already but it has missed several important points in its evolution: a business focus, a product focus and a real customer focus.
On the other hand, Lean Startup is facing the same issues that Agile has been facing for the last 20 years when introducing agility to the corporate world.
I think that both worlds would benefit from each other. We share a common purpose, but quite a different approach.
What will you take out of this event:
* Key take-aways of Lean Startup Summit
* State of the art of Lean Startup evolution
* Innovation in big companies
* Differences and points in common between Agile and Lean Startup
* References and people you should follow
* Insights by open discussions about several topics

Elevating Tactical DDD Patterns Through Object CalisthenicsDorra BARTAGUIZ
After immersing yourself in the blue book and its red counterpart, attending DDD-focused conferences, and applying tactical patterns, you're left with a crucial question: How do I ensure my design is effective? Tactical patterns within Domain-Driven Design (DDD) serve as guiding principles for creating clear and manageable domain models. However, achieving success with these patterns requires additional guidance. Interestingly, we've observed that a set of constraints initially designed for training purposes remarkably aligns with effective pattern implementation, offering a more ‘mechanical’ approach. Let's explore together how Object Calisthenics can elevate the design of your tactical DDD patterns, offering concrete help for those venturing into DDD for the first time!

The Metaverse and AI: how can decision-makers harness the Metaverse for their...Jen Stirrup
The Metaverse is popularized in science fiction, and now it is becoming closer to being a part of our daily lives through the use of social media and shopping companies. How can businesses survive in a world where Artificial Intelligence is becoming the present as well as the future of technology, and how does the Metaverse fit into business strategy when futurist ideas are developing into reality at accelerated rates? How do we do this when our data isn't up to scratch? How can we move towards success with our data so we are set up for the Metaverse when it arrives?
How can you help your company evolve, adapt, and succeed using Artificial Intelligence and the Metaverse to stay ahead of the competition? What are the potential issues, complications, and benefits that these technologies could bring to us and our organizations? In this session, Jen Stirrup will explain how to start thinking about these technologies as an organisation.

zkStudyClub - Reef: Fast Succinct Non-Interactive Zero-Knowledge Regex ProofsAlex Pruden
This paper presents Reef, a system for generating publicly verifiable succinct non-interactive zero-knowledge proofs that a committed document matches or does not match a regular expression. We describe applications such as proving the strength of passwords, the provenance of email despite redactions, the validity of oblivious DNS queries, and the existence of mutations in DNA. Reef supports the Perl Compatible Regular Expression syntax, including wildcards, alternation, ranges, capture groups, Kleene star, negations, and lookarounds. Reef introduces a new type of automata, Skipping Alternating Finite Automata (SAFA), that skips irrelevant parts of a document when producing proofs without undermining soundness, and instantiates SAFA with a lookup argument. Our experimental evaluation confirms that Reef can generate proofs for documents with 32M characters; the proofs are small and cheap to verify (under a second).
