• Convert cameras into intelligent sensors that make
business decisions, using powerful decision-making
software (analytics)
• Analytics run on real time video to provide automated alerts.
• Delivers reliable detection in complex environments where noise
had previously limited application.
• Operates in remote, low bandwidth – Processes at edge.
What We offer
• Develop and Supply Video Analytic Systems
 Reliably detect and automatically report in real time.
 Powerful software, remotely deployable, efficiently networked.
 Effective storage/retrieval , system integration and OAM.
 New Installs and Intelligence upgrades to existing networks.
 High performance to cost ratio enabled by efficient code.
 Scalable enterprise architecture
Technology Overview
• IntelliView has developed new methods of detecting liquid spills
and leaks for Oil and Gas facilities. The solution is a combination of
patented software analytics, purpose built ruggedized hardware,
and video sensors.
• Camera images are sent to the DVR and processed by the chosen
analytic (leak, security…), which determines if user defined rules
are met.
• The system is fully automated, notifying personnel when an alarm
condition occurs as well as sending scheduled images or video as a
routine site check.
• A full suite of site security analytics can also be implemented on the
same platform, using additional sensors and/or access control.
• Remote communications are fully supported, with multiple
protocol, SCADA, and instrumentation ports to tie into on-site
process controls.

Industry Sectors
Some of the industry sectors that are and can be addressed
include:
FACTs - Market drivers
Typical video analytics look for pixel changes in the thermal image to determine if there
is a leak. Over two years of development work focused specifically on leak
characteristics, installation environments, and customer feedback has shown this to be
too simplistic and results in high volumes of false alarms.
IntelliView Leak Detection analytics watch for specific characteristics, some of which
include:
– The leak must originate within the area of interest.
– The leak must be persistent within the time period.
– The leak must be within a certain diameter within the area of interest.
– Multiple leak origin points are valid only if within a certain time period/size/location.
– The leak must be a certain size.
– The leak must have a movement component.
These components combine within the analytic to discriminate between simple
“movement” and an actual leak.
The Leak Analytic, more than heat changes.
Leak Detection Example Clips
Diesel Leak at 50 feet
Propane Leak at 50 feet
Leak Detection Example Clips
Diesel Leak at 150 feet in heavy rain
Small Flange drip Leak at 50 feet
Typical Applications in Oil & Gas Environments
• Monitoring of remote or unmanned pump stations to detect liquid leaks
and for site security.
• Monitoring of above ground equipment such as valves, pig traps, or
unmanned batteries for detection of liquid leaks and for site security.
• Temporary monitoring of drilling rigs (oil or gas) that are unmanned during
break up for site security.
• Monitoring of critical sections of above ground pipeline such as river
crossings, near populated areas, or partially manned facilities requiring
immediate response.
• Flare and stack monitoring for safety and ERCB requirements.
• Integration with DeltaV process control for color and thermal imaging and
monitoring.
• Bird detection for all weather 24/7 prevention for tailings ponds.
• Perimeter security in large footprint facilities with or without fencing.
Where does the liquid leak detection analytic
work?
• Above ground oil production, processing & transport facilities
– Pump stations
– Headers / block valves
– Tank terminals
– River crossings
– SAGD production wellpads
– Conventional pump jacks
– Hot bitumen lines
– Bitumen treatment areas
– Tailings processing
Any above ground liquids processing area where the
liquid has a temperature that is different from its
surrounding environment.
Leak Detection - Analytics
• IntelliView’s patented analytics also incorporate
breakthrough technology to dramatically reduce
the false alarms which plague competitive video
based solutions.
• These new algorithms compensate for changes
in shadow, glare, and snow to reduce these
errors by over 95%.
• Additional user controls further reduce false
alarms including filtering target size, speed, and
direction.
Field application detection rates are
fully documented
• Hundreds of tests in both controlled conditions and at customer sites has
resulted in reliable, repeatable, and site functional solutions. Tight
integration and control of each system module maximizes overall system
capability.

Pump Station Leak Detection - Outdoor
• Thermal cameras monitor outdoor
headers and valves, detecting leaks
through differences in ambient
temperature and product temperature.
• Color cameras pair with the thermal
cameras to provide operators with
further detail to confirm alerts and
alarms.
Pump Station Monitoring
• At 25m the analytic can detect a leak the size of a sheet of paper,
whether it is spraying, dripping, or pooling. The analytic is capable of
detecting a leak using a temperature difference as little as 2o C.
• In actual application, simulated leaks have been routinely detected at
all temperatures, with a typical response of less than a minute when
configured for higher confidence levels.
Pump Station Leak Detection - Indoor
• Color cameras monitor indoor areas such as floors
and drains, detecting leaks through matching the
color of the product to a predefined color palette .
• Color Match Analytics require consistent lighting,
and can be configured to as close to the color
match needs to be to trigger.
• As the product moves into the area being
monitored, the analytic compares the color of the
leak against user defined parameters including
how close the color is to the target and how much
area is being covered. Once alarm conditions are
met, the system triggers the alarm.
Indoor Pump House Monitoring
Critical Oil & Gas Infrastructure Security
• Unmanned pump stations are susceptible
to undetected leaks as well as vandalism.
IntelliView’s SmrtDVR system can provide
fully automated monitoring to manage all
aspects of remote operational risks.
• Color and/or thermal cameras monitor
locations such as fences, gates, access
roads and yard spaces.
• Security analytics include line crossing,
movement in area, loitering and others.
• Access through gates and doors can also
be controlled.
• Unauthorized access triggers alarms and
sends an image immediately.

Trailer overview
• TrailerView - A self-contained industrial mobile video
solution providing 360 o day/night coverage .
• Uses fuel cell and solar technology for off-grid
applications (40+ days) or AC for powered
locations.
• 4 channel ruggedized DVR provides full analytic
capability.
• Deployable in 1-2 hours when on-site and
requires little or no maintenance.
• Typically deployed for temporary security at shut in rig sites and O&G sites under
construction, and monitored by a security company to prevent vandalism. Also
deployed to active sites under construction/modification to monitor for leaks in
new equipment or installations.
