Informational Text

What is informational text? 
Also known as non-fiction. These are books based on factual 
information.
Types of informational text 
 Narrative 
 This type of informational text is written 
in way that resembles a story with a 
beginning, middle, and end. 
 Expository 
 This type of informational text is very 
factual with both general and detailed 
information. Textbooks are expository. 
 Text features are very helpful.
Text features are tools to help you 
understand what you are reading.
