Dear Sir,
This is Md.Al-Amin Khan student of Bachelor of Arts in Tourism and Hospitality
Management (BATHM) of IUBAT—International University of Business Agriculture
and Technology. I was writing the proposal titled “Front Office Operation at Hotel
Swiss Garden”. Front office is the most visible and essential focal point of a hotel. The
focal point of activity within the front office is the reception desk, which is located in the
front lobby of a hotel and dispenses all front of the house activities of the hotel.
Background and Goals
The front office is considered to be the show case of the hotel and it is at this point that
first impression is formed by the customer. This department bearing various sub sections
(like telephones, reservations, registration, lobby and so on), deals with the customer
right from the reservation to the registration (check in) till the guest leaves the hotel. Any
grievances and special needs of the guest are taken care of by this very department only.
Hence the department personnel(s) have to be diplomatic, tactful and with an attribute of
salesmanship in dealing with various type of customer. The overall persona of the front
office staff makes lot of difference, in terms of getting repeat customers.
Proposed plan
On the basis of my experience in conducting many lenders surveys. Approach proposes
the following plan.
Survey
In this report, I used Stratified Sampling Procedure to collect data from Front Office
Operation at Hotel Swiss Garden. I selected respondent from different subgroups within
the Hotel Swiss Garden. The study has been conducted among 20 management level
employees, Executives, Supervisors, operators and also some general workers from
different units who knows the genuine situation of Front Office Operation. I selected one
area Front Office Operation at Hotel Swiss Garden, where I went to execute my survey .

Analysis
In analyzing part I used different statistical tools and tried to get accurate result. Both
primary and secondary information has been used for the report. Primary data have been
collected through questionnaire survey, telephonic and email survey method.
Secondary information has been collected through desk study. This report uses secondary
and pertinent literatures to identify the facts that always affects the consumers. Several
books , online journals have been used as sources of secondary data.
The data and information thus collected have been processed and analyzed critically in
order to make the study more informative, reliable and accurate to reveal the actual
ulterior situations.

February, 08, 2014 Mohammad Musa Instructor, ART 203 Career Planning and Development IUBAT—International University of Business Agriculture and Technology 4, Embankment Drive Road, Uttara Model Town, Sector 10, Dhaka-1230, Bangladesh Dear Sir, This is Md.Al-Amin Khan student of Bachelor of Arts in Tourism and Hospitality Management (BATHM) of IUBAT—International University of Business Agriculture and Technology. I was writing the proposal titled “Front Office Operation at Hotel Swiss Garden”. Front office is the most visible and essential focal point of a hotel. The focal point of activity within the front office is the reception desk, which is located in the front lobby of a hotel and dispenses all front of the house activities of the hotel. Background and Goals The front office is considered to be the show case of the hotel and it is at this point that first impression is formed by the customer. This department bearing various sub sections (like telephones, reservations, registration, lobby and so on), deals with the customer right from the reservation to the registration (check in) till the guest leaves the hotel. Any grievances and special needs of the guest are taken care of by this very department only. Hence the department personnel(s) have to be diplomatic, tactful and with an attribute of salesmanship in dealing with various type of customer. The overall persona of the front office staff makes lot of difference, in terms of getting repeat customers. Proposed plan On the basis of my experience in conducting many lenders surveys. Approach proposes the following plan. Survey In this report, I used Stratified Sampling Procedure to collect data from Front Office Operation at Hotel Swiss Garden. I selected respondent from different subgroups within the Hotel Swiss Garden. The study has been conducted among 20 management level employees, Executives, Supervisors, operators and also some general workers from different units who knows the genuine situation of Front Office Operation. I selected one area Front Office Operation at Hotel Swiss Garden, where I went to execute my survey .
  • 2. Muhammad Musa Page 2 February, 08, 2014 Analysis In analyzing part I used different statistical tools and tried to get accurate result. Both primary and secondary information has been used for the report. Primary data have been collected through questionnaire survey, telephonic and email survey method. Secondary information has been collected through desk study. This report uses secondary and pertinent literatures to identify the facts that always affects the consumers. Several books , online journals have been used as sources of secondary data. The data and information thus collected have been processed and analyzed critically in order to make the study more informative, reliable and accurate to reveal the actual ulterior situations. Report I will submit a final report which will clear to you about “Front Office Operation at Hotel Swiss Garden” Schedule: With your approval the following schedule has been arranged for your patient satisfaction survey: Activities Duration Questionnaire development January 05-12 Processing tabulation and Data January 12-25 Completion of final report February 15 Staffing There will be so many expertise’s with me.
