2. What is Aim/Objective of Indie Rockz?
• Our aim is to distribute the genre of Indie Rock to more people across
the North London Area.
• We need to in form people on the genre of indie rock more as well as
creating interesting content for our customers who read our
magazine.
• We want to also provide dates of concerts and festivals in the area in
order to get people more into the genre of Indie Rock.
• We want to become one of the main magazine distributors in north
London.
3. Target audience
• Our target audience will be people who have a big interest in Indie
Rock and will be aimed at teens and young adults who would
understand the magazine more at around the age of 18-25year olds.
• The gender in which I am aiming at will be a mix of women and men
as it is aimed at anyone with an interest of indie rock.
• The target audience would have to be from North London or based
around the area in order to hear about the magazine and hear events
in the area.
4. Moodboard
My Mood board for Indie Rockz
includes some of what I think
are the best artists for Indie
Rock.
The mood board shows a vibe
for indie rock as what people
may feel while seeing or
listening to the genre.
The mood board is what I think
shows all parts of what I am
mainly basing my magazine on.
5. Fonts
• Front cover
1. Sibylle – Used for front cover title and headings
2. amatic–Any subheadings or short paragraphing
• Double page spread
1. Sibylle – Heading
2. Dense–Small paragraphs + columns
6. Competition
• Indie Rockz faces competition in the magazine market/ industry.
Some of our competitors such as Indie Pulse and Under the Radar
Magazines. These competitors could make our magazine harder to
sell in the market.
• We may decide to try distributing to universities to differentiate from
our competitors and sell more copies of our magazines to more
people in different places.
• We could also get university students to write articles as part of their
degree. We could get up to date opinions from the people that go to
the concerts and we wouldn't need to pay them to do it
7. Price
• The price for each issue of Indie Rockz will cost a price of £3.50 for an issue
every 2 weeks. We believe this is a good price for our magazine as it is a
similar price to a lot of our competitors but also buying each and every
issue will be worth the £3.50 in your pocket.
• We will add an additional service where you can get each issue delivered to
your door so you don’t have to go out and get it yourself or in case the
latest issue is sold out in your area, however this will be at an additional
cost of £1.50 for delivery charges.
• Once every 2 months (Every 4 issues) we will include a CD in some of our
magazines meaning you can buy the magazine with or without the CD
which will contain some of the newest hits of Indie Rock bands and artists.
This will boost the price of magazines to £8 however if you want to buy the
issue without the CD it will stay at the price of £3.50.
8. Resolving legal and ethical issues
• Indie Rockz get past ethical issues like the use of paper by firstly using
recycled paper for our magazines. Not only will it be cheaper for us but
also we would save a lot of trees from being cut down and we would see a
decrease in deforestation. If we decided not to do this method we could
introduce a scheme where every magazine purchased we plant a tree to be
more eco friendly.
• Legal issues such as dissatisfied customers may come upon us. As a result
of a unhappy customer with their product, Indie Rockz offers a full refund
for the magazine or a exchange for a new copy of the magazine. Any
convenience caused with the magazine e.g. including something racist we
would take into full consideration and fully look into what goes into each
and every magazine before they are distributed to avoid the chance of it
happening again.
