7. Font choices
• I will use the first font for my masthead, my main coverline
and for my puff.
• The second font will be used for my sky and strap lines and
the remaining coverlines.
• The third font will be used for the artist’s name and the
article headline.
• For the body copy, I will use I will use a simple font like
'Ariel’.
8. Form, Content & Genre
• As we are a rock magazine it will be about rock artists and bands and
about which ones are most popular at the moment in north London.
• Will have a partnership with The Underworld, a rock venue in Camden
Town which will fund the magazine and in return the magazine will
promote it.
• The double page spread will be a Q & A with a specific artist.
• Each issue will have a tribute section at the end of the magazine about
rock artists and bands from the 80’s.
9. My USP
The USP of my magazine which makes it different to the competition:
• The magazine is for people in North London.
• It will have a partnership with The Underworld in Camden, which is
a famous rock venue.
• You are able to take part in competitions where you can win free
tickets to upcoming concerts and events at the venue.
• It will include a free vinyl record from an upcoming rock artist in
North London with every issue. The vinyl will be available in
different formats: Hard copy-Physical disc and Online copy-Available
to download.
• Finally with every issue released, the featured artist will have a
Spotify playlist which readers can download.
11. Target audience
The primary target audience for this magazine will be males aged 20-25 of all
demographics, part of both the BC1 and C2D categories.
The secondary audience for my magazine will be females aged 35-40 of all
demographics, from both the BC1 and C2D categories. Some issues will specialise on
women in rock.
12. Marketing & Distribution
My magazine will be distributed in a number of different ways:
• Hard copies available to buy in supermarkets, newsagents, newspaper stands, The
Underworld and in record shops in North London.
• An online print available online to purchase and download.
My magazine will be promoted in a number of different ways to ensure more and more people
hear about it.
• It will be promoted on all different platforms of social media.
• Go to universities in North London and promote the magazine there.
• Flyers handed out in Camden Market.
• At The Underground in Camden, there will be flyers given out promoting the magazine.
• It will be a physical advert on bus stops and in train stations all around North London.

£4.00 for the hard copy.
£3.50 for the online print.
Subscription:
£34 annually for the hard copy.
£32 annually for the online print.
£36 annually for both the hard copy and online print.

Resources Reason
A camera To take the pictures for the magazine.
A computer To be able to create the magazine, and use it for all the writing of the
content for the magazine.
Costumes and props To make the artist look more like rock and have them with the rock
conventions so people can identify it’s a rock magazine.
Photoshop To edit all the photos to make them look better, and the create the
layout for the magazine so it looks good.
Personnel Reason
A photographer So when the photos are taken, they can be
taken by a professional to make the quality
of the photos much better.
An editor To edit the magazine so it looks much more
