My Experience At The New School
My practicum experience was quite an interesting one. I didn t know how it was going to work
but quickly saw it was easy to figure out. I do have a few mishaps because of the way my
resource is run, I often have to change my whole lesson at the last minute. So even though I
have written a lesson plan and scripted it out geared towards their IEP goals or basics, when I
see most of my students not getting something in class I chose to focus on what they need the
most so then may lesson doesn t match. Overall I think the experience was fine the small group I
teach and the way that I teach them allows for flexibility. Reading the book Educating Esme was
actually more entertaining than I anticipated. It was very fun and interesting to go through the
experience with her. It brought a lot of things to my mind and perspective. I think that she
handled her first year at the new school very well, her principal is a good example of a lot of
people who try and take advantage and bully people with their authority. Its unfortunate that she
didn t start to speak up earlier because I think people use their power to get away with what they

A solution currently being employed is to fix leaks in the cities out dated water pipes. Anywhere

saved a second if these leak were. Other ideas currently in use or suggested include: Collecting
rainfall, Desalination, and drip irrigation. My favorite, drip irrigation would not only save 30 70
percent compared with flood irrigation, but has been shown to increase crop yield 20 90 percent,
talk about killing two birds with one stone.
But really when it comes down to it the easiest and most logical way to cut the cities water
demand of 7,750 gallons per second would be to teach people water conservation methods, recycle
water more effectively, and/or just stop polluting the current sources. Still it s easier said then done
without the proper funding this will never happen. While were on the money subject let me throw
just one more fun statistic at you, some 40 percent of water users either never receive water bills or
simply refuse to pay them.

Abstract Lysozyme is an enzyme found in both tears and saliva. Each time we blink our eyes, our
eyelids wash tears over the surface of our eyes. In addition, our mouth is continually producing
saliva. A spectrophotometer set to 450nm was used to measure the effect of lysozymeon bacteria.
The absorbance or optical density was measured for each sample at specific times with a total
measuring time of twenty minutes. In this experiment, it was shown that lysozyme inhibits
