This paper discusses the implementation of a Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM) technique for controlling a three-phase matrix converter using FPGA and MATLAB/Simulink. The matrix converter converts AC power directly without a DC link and supports bi-directional power flow, showcasing advantages such as improved voltage transfer ratio and reduced harmonic distortion. It provides detailed descriptions and simulations of the SVPWM pulses and the generated waveforms for effective power conversion.
