iMOOC‐Leveraging; Badging, Gamification, and Social‐Learning to Prepare Students for Success in - Course Technology Computing Conference
Presenter: Michael Kolodziej, Ashford University
Many students enter the world of online education without basic skills and knowledge required to be a successful learner in the online modality. For this study, we have created a self-paced, open, non-credit course that focuses on factors of success (internal and external), strategies for learning, institutional resource awareness, and community building. Retention, learning outcome achievement, and academic performance are being tracked and early results will be presented for discussion.
