Electrical faults can have serious safety consequences like electrocution, electric shock, fire, or component failure. Critical faults include bad workmanship, drilling into wires, cracked junction boxes, missing earth bonding, polarity issues, incorrect fuse or flex sizing, bad installation, or burnt or damaged cables. If any critical faults are identified, the supervisor must be notified so a qualified electrician can be called in to rectify the issue safely. A first aider may also need to be contacted if someone has suffered an electric shock.
