Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.

were called in because of it. Michael heard that they

out of anger he followed his school bully home from
school into the woods and beat him to death with a
stick. He killed his step-dad, older sister and her
boyfriend in front of the baby sister on Halloween night
and he was sent to the mental hospital and arrested but
he returns a few years later to kill his younger sister.
The creator uses the colour orange to make the cover
seem more scary which would make the film seem
scarier. He uses images in the background to show
that it’s not a kid friendly movie and to entice people
into watching it.

Man which is about a group of girls who one day decide
to summon Slender Man. A few days after summoning
him one of the girls disappears so the girls try to get her
back later to find out that Slender Man is real and he has
their friend and is now after them.

image of a creepy figure in the middle of the poster
because it makes the audience want to watch it. The
creator uses a creepy style text to make the movie
seem more scarier.

Hulk which is about a man named Bruce Banner which is
in hiding from the army who want to use him as a
weapon. While he is in hiding he is trying to create a cure
to get rid of the beast within him and he has help in
another country from a scientist. One day while working
at a fizzy drink making factory he cuts himself by accident
and some of his blood fall into the drinks which
hospitalizes some people which leads the army to find his
location and now he is on the run while looking for a
cure.
The creator uses bright colours as lights to show that he
is being hunted down. He uses an image of the Hulk to
show what he turns into when he gets angry which will
make the audience want to watch it.
