Stop Animal Extinction
Have you heard that many animals today are going extinct because of people polluting the water,
air Also because they are hunting animals for their fur, skins, and horns. But with your hearing the
research I have conducted, I think you can also help stop animal extinction.I wanted to research this
because I like animals and I want to stop animalextinction. I have been reading and learning about
animals for my whole life . when I figured out that animal extinction meant animals are going to
not be existing anymore, I knew I had to research about animal extinction. Have you asked
yourself? What causes animal extinction? Well, what causes animal extinction is deforestation,
greenhouse gases, forest fires, and pollution. By burning fossil fuels, we are making hotter
temperatures, melting polar glaciers Globally, power generation is responsible for about 23 billion
tonnes of CO2 emissions per year Greenhouses gases, such as carbon dioxide, trap heat in the
atmosphere and regulate our climate. These gases exist naturally, but humans adding more
carbon dioxide by burning fossil fuels for energy (coal, oil, and natural gas) and by clearing
forests.Greenhouse gases act like a blanket. The thicker the blanket, the warmer our planet
becomes. At the same time, the Earth s oceans are also absorbing some of this extra carbon
dioxide, making them more acidic and less hospitable to sea life I think that animals cannot be
stopped but helped because animals are going to die and get

What Is The Theme Of Iago In Othello
Honest, meaning free of deceit and untruthfulness; sincere. All of which Iago is not. This can be
surprising considering the numerous times the word honest is used in Othello to reference Iago.
Throughout the play the audience gets a first hand look of how Iago contributes to the theme of
appearance versus reality that creates dramatic irony.
To begin with, analyzing Iago s character is an important part. One article mentions that Iago, ...
can play a number of roles convincingly, and is able to adapt his tone and style to suit any
occasion. ( Villainous Role of Iago in Othello ). This is a big factor of how Iago so easily
manipulates the other characters by being able to realize the person he is talking to and alter his
personality. As the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He says, Oh, beware, my lord, of jealousy! It is the green eyed monster which doth mock. The
meat it feeds on. (3.3. 170 172). Iago is warning Othello about jealousy claiming it will destroy him
for falling prey. In reality, Iago wants Othello to become jealous of his wife being with another man
and kill her. For one, this line is ironic because Iago s motive for his plan against Othello is in fact
because he is jealous. It is also ironic because Iago is pretending to warn Othello of jealousy to
appear as a loyal and caring friend.
This next part of Iago s character plays an equally important role in the play. An article says that
a ... superb ability of Iago is that he has an acute eye for his victim s weaknesses and exploits
them mercilessly. ( Villainous Role of Iago in Othello ). Iago is able to use the characters
weaknesses against them for his own selfish reasons. While the audience is aware of Iago s plan,
the other characters are oblivious to his evil

Reaction Experiment On Reaction Time Experiment
Science Assignment
Title:
Reaction Time Experiment
Aim:
To find out what happens to a subject s reaction time when different independent variables are
applied.
Introduction:
Reaction time is the time between the presentation of a stimulus and the initiation of the muscular
response to that stimulus ( the free dictionary [26/07/14].The purpose of this test was to identify
what happens to reaction times as different independent variables are applied. The nervous system
helps all parts of the body to communicate with each other, it is responsible for making sure all of
the body s parts coordinate properly. The nervous system is the centre of all the body s activity
(better health channel [26/07/14]). The brain and spinal cord make up the central nervous system
and all the other nerves in the body part of the peripheral nervous system. Inside nerves lie
neurons, neurons are found in the brain, spinal cord and the peripheral nerves (PubMed Health
[26/07/14]). They are also known as nerve cells. These neurons have the same structure as plant
and animal cells (differencebetween.net [27/07/14]). Neurons are made up of a cell body,
dendrites, a nucleus, an axon and a myelin sheath (the nervous system [27/07/14]). The myelin
sheath surrounds the nerve fibre of axon and protects the body from the electrical charge that
nerves have (GCSE Bite size [27/07/14]). There are two types of neurons: sensory neurons and
motor neurons. Sensory neurons send signals to the brain and spinal

Essay on Nature in Context vs. Nature out of Context
Nature in Context vs. Nature out of Context Nature has long been the focus of many an author s
work, whether it is expressed through poetry, short stories, or any other type of literary creation.
Authors have been given an endless supply of pictures and descriptions because of nature s
infinite splendor that can be vividly reproduced through words. It is because of this fact that often
a reader is faced with two different approaches to the way nature is portrayed. Some authors tend
to look at nature from a more extensive perspective as in William Wordsworth s I wandered Lonely
as a Cloud. While some authors tend to focus more on individual aspects of nature and are able to
captivate the reader with their intimate portrayals of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But the second line in this poem, sometimes whoever seeks abroad may find, was particularly
interesting to me for I relate to its feelings of optimism and accord. In a way it also seems that
the second stanza is heavy with sleepiness, with the exception of the last four lines, as displayed
in the above quote with words like the winnowing wind , Drows d , and sound asleep . The four
last lines of the second stanza, as I mentioned earlier, describes Autumn in pure action, Steady thy
laden head across a brook; /Or by a cider press, with patient look, by bringing out the true active
lifestyle of what nature truly is. Again, through his imagination Keats is able to embark upon what
he is really seeing. The purpose of the poem becomes clear in the final stanza, and in the warmth of
the second line, Where are the songs of spring? Ay, where are they? /Think not of them, Thou hast
thy music too, where Keats sheds light on the idea that that everything has a purpose. It would
appear that Autumn, the season which robs us of the warmth of summer, where the leaves come
tumbling from the trees, the season that prepares the world for a dark and cold winter ahead, has its
purpose too. What would spring be without death, light without dark, but indeed it appears that
Keats is thinking of life without death. In this poem, Keats is able to focus in on the beauty and
splendid ness of autumn in order to demonstrate that everything will change according

Quarrels Across Cultures-Personal Narrative
After the confrontation was discussed for two hours, a Pomo, Tall as Summer Corn, spoke,
staring into the blazing fire. There s another quarrel that has been threatening the peace south of
here. I was trading for clamshell beads with the Ohlone people last summer. (They lived in the
Santa Cruz area, southwest of San Francisco Bay.) The Pomo trader added, grimly, Two villages
nearly engaged in full scale warfare over grievances each side had built up over time. The
easterners are trespassers, one man announced, They take our geese and ducks, never bring gifts
when they visit, pick our acorns and now one man has raped a local woman! This call for
revenge stirred up the people of the aggrieved village. In spite of the respective Headmen
attempting to quell the anger growing on both sides, a western speaker argued for a line battle
...to teach those eastern devils a lesson . This angered the other village and within six days, in the
meadow that separated the two villages, two forces faced each other. Several truculent speakers
from both sides demanded that blood be spilt. Each side shook its bows and insulted the other line.

How Camping Can Be A Responsible Camper While You Enjoy...
Camping is a fun, low cost way to enjoy the summer with family and friends. Here are a few tips
that will help you be a responsible camper while you enjoy the wild. 1. For bug repellent try
citronella candles and Avon Skin So Soft instead of toxic chemical insect repellents. 2. Wear
long sleeves and long pants at dawn and dusk when insects are most active. 3. Stay on trails to
protect habitat and avoid snake encounters. Snakes sense vibrations, so walking with a buddy or
a group is not only wise, it will announce your presence to snakes who just want to avoid
encountering YOU! 4. Invest in a good sleeping pad, or at the least, put an exercise mat under
your sleeping bag. 5. Block ice lasts longer than bagged ice. Make your own at home by filling
milk jugs or water bottles. The less you open the cooler, the longer the ice will last. 6. Never
hang lanterns on trees because the heat can cause serious harm. 7. Pack a small plastic bucket
for dish washing and never use the bathhouse sink for this task. 8. Hungry critters can be very
clever and destructive. Keep food locked in vehicles or tied up in trees. 9. Freeze chili, soups and
stews in zip lock bags, then heat them after they thaw. The frozen bags help keep ice from
melting in the cooler. Rice and pasta can also be cooked ahead of time and reheated on a camp
stove. 10. Pita pockets keep their shape better than loaf bread. 11. Disposable water bottles make
great dispensers for salad dressings and sauces. 12.

Tim Burton’s Sleepy Hollow Essay
Comparing Tim Burton s Sleepy Hollow with Washington Irving s The Legend of Sleepy Hollow
In examining Washington Irving s The Legend of Sleepy Hollow alongside Tim Burton s film
adaption of the story, titled Sleepy Hollow, a number of fascinating similarities and differences
emerge. Though elements of the characters and settings of Burton s film borrow heavily from
Irving s text, the overall structuring of the film is significantly different, and representations of
various elements are crucially re imagined. Tim Burton s Sleepy Hollow was released on November
19, 1999, a few months before the new millennium. Set in 1799, Burton s film modifies the 1790
date that Irving s text is set in, showing an acute concern with ... Show more content on

There is no narrator at all in Burton s film, and the action that the characters experience is
firsthand, not retrospective or omniscient. Such a move takes away from the folk legend
element of the story, transforming it into a supernatural spectacle for on the screen instead of a
possibly supernatural tale for around the fireplace. The ways in which Irving and Burton code
the city and the country in their respective productions is similarly impacted by the periods in
which each man was working. Irving s Sleepy Hollow emphasizes local culture and the power of
myth making within these cultures. In Irving s town of Sleepy Hollow, the tale of the headless
horseman reigns, but does not extend outside of the local realm, and does not necessarily
physically manifest: when Ichabod leaves for the city at the end of the narrative, the horseman does
not follow him. However, in Burton s adaption, the tale of the headless horseman is not merely
local folklore, but becomes elevated to the level of metropolitan news through the literal act of
murder instead of the mere legend of murder. Crime, then, elevates the cultural status of the
horseman from local legend to state wide murder suspect. Irving s story, noted by scholars such as
Daniel Hoffmann for its powerful interpretation of local myth and mythic tropes, is transported into
the realm of the metropolitan through the re characterization of New York as

Life of San Pedro Calungsod
Blessed Pedro Calungsod (c. 1654 April 2, 1672) was a young Roman Catholic Filipino sacristan
and missionary catechist, who along with Spanish Jesuit missionary Blessed Diego Luis de San
Vitores, suffered religious persecution and martyrdom on Guam for their missionary work in
1672. Calungsod was beatified on March 5, 2000 by Blessed Pope John Paul II. On February 18,
2012, Pope Benedict XVI officially announced at Saint Peter s Basilica that Calungsod will be

The victim of all this invasion is the traditional Faith, the traditional moral standards, the cultural
ways of life and behavior which 400 years of Christianity have tried to make part of the Filipinos
way of life.
Against the attacks on Christian life, against the prevailing lack of commitment to anything
beyond material gain in contemporary culture, against the confusion and relativism of post
modernism, the unrestrained struggle for wealth and pleasure of the global culture preached by
the media, we can place before the eyes of the young a role model of commitment to Christ and
to his Gospel. We can invoke the intercession of a 17 year old native Filipino to pray for, inspire
and lead young people to a new understanding and love for Christ and his way, to a willingness to
give witness to what the Gospel teaches, to a readiness by a young person to give his life for
Christ and his Church.
More: in an age when, as Pope John Paul II has said, youth in the Philippines must be willing to
bravely proclaim their Christian Faith, both at home and even in other lands, what more splendid
thing can be done than to give a concrete young person, catechist and missionary who is alive in
the Crucified and Risen Christ today, for our young people to know, to pray to, to imitate?

Examples Of Spousal Betrayal In Half Of A Yellow Sun
Spousal betrayal
According to the Oxford Advanced Learner s Dictionary to betray means to hurt somebody who
trusts you especially by not being loyal or faithful. It frequently happens in our societies between

Nsukka dares sleep with another man and say it openly to her future husband. Her action would

let him feel what she has felt when he did the samething with Amala. Here, Adichie uses her
feminist weapon to charter such denigrating and degrading treatments meted out to women by
their lover. Olanna has reached her goal because Odenigbo is upset and frustrated at hearing her
love affair with Richard. He is obliged to forgive her the way she did to him. Adichie puts
Odenigbo in the same condition he has put Olanna in to show that men through patriarchy
should stop ill treating women and that like men women have a conscience, feelings and a soul.
The situation reminds me of a custom in Things Fall Apart where the woman should say
publicly how many men have slept with her since her fiancГ© has first expressed the desire to

Art Marks should vote to make an investment in Telco Exchange because the company possesses
many of the components which could make it a potential 67 million dollar company (from our
valuation by DCF method using WACC Appendix A). Telco has a product that solves large
company high cost issues revolving around telecom equipment and telecom services (makes

If they did not vote to invest in Telco, would it not only result in time being wasted both for Telco
and also Valhalla but could also result in letting go of a great investment opportunity.
The Top Three Risks Facing Telco Exchange
One of the major risks facing Telco is their CEO is 70 years old and his son being the CTO could
give rise to a conflict of interest. Bryant Dunetz had agreed to step down and allow Valhalla to
search for a new CEO. This could be a risky endeavor because Dunetz may either refuse to step
down after negotiations or the new CEO may not be a good fit. The other two major risk factors is
they do not have a strong executive management team and their competition in this market space is
ramping up and soon they will not be the top solutions provider for large corporate telecom
equipment and services. With Valhalla having only 25% of the voting rights in the company after
the capital issue, they may not have the ability to force their way with the future management.
Meanwhile the average time of determining success of a venture capital investment is 18 months.
Replacing the entire management team and vetting that process out would take up a significant
chunk of that time. Lastly, Valhalla does have to move quickly to get Telco the capital they need to
gain as much market share as quickly as possible. The

Every town or city in the world is unique in its own way. They have defining factors that set them
apart from one another. These factors include poverty, population, sex, unemployment, and many
other features. These specific aspects are all apart of demography; the scientific study of
population, composition, and factors such as health, race, ethnicity, income, and more. Demography
varies greatly by location and by comparing two places, such as Jefferson Cityand St. Louis,
Missouri, one can see the variation of these features and how they influence health and overall life
quality. You will see that St. Louis and Jefferson City, although both located in Missouri, are two
very different cities. Jefferson City in located right in central Missouri.

Language, By Nature External And Community Driven
In his Philosophical Investigations Wittgenstein states that language is by nature external and
community driven, therefore the notion of a private language is impossible. Wittgenstein argues
that in a private language, the words of this language are to refer to what the speaker can know to
his immediate private sensations. So another person cannot understand the language(PI 243).
Wittgenstein contends that among other reasons private language is flawed in that there is no way
that the speech community can verify to see if the language is being used correctly. Wittgenstein s
argument that you cannot have an internal language is flawed because it overlooks the crucial
internal functions of the brain that facilitate language, both... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

No matter how you try to render the contents of your internal nature, there is no way to verify if
another person could understand you fully. Since you cannot confirm even things that are
seemingly universal, like the perception of a color it is futile that a completely personal language
and the sensations associated with it would be fully perceptible to another person. The notion of
private language is flawed because there is no way to really tell if what you are attempting to
communicate is being perceived correctly by the other party. Since it is impossible to be witness to
another person s thought process the conception of a private language is unsound. A fundamental
truth about language is the fact that in order to communicate effectively, all parties involved must
be able to understand the language that is being spoken. An integral part of understanding language
and having a successful conversation is an underlying agreement as to the definitions of the words
being used. Wittgenstein also claims that there is a fundamental agreement in judgements that is
required for communication by means of language (PI 242). The agreements in judgements that
Wittgenstein mentions is simply the subject matter at hand, a way to determine if both speaker
and listener are on the same page . The word judgement is a very loaded word and it obscures

Solving How Statistics Could Be Done Incorrectly
After hours of deep research, one would be able to solve how statistics could be done incorrectly.
My research was not extreme enough to find the true difference between replication problem and
replication crisis, nevertheless, a replication crisis is when a scientist finds results of many
scientific experiments that are usually impossible to replicate on subsequent investigation. While a
replication problem in social sciences would be that the scientists are not interested in experiments
that have already been replicated (Visser). Replications were not highly respected and were
extremely unattractive. Also, another problem was the replication studies that have been carried

The only problem is that they randomly sampled two hundred students from the school, which
can lead to misleading conclusions since they could possibly choose a group of students of love
coffee, but the rest of the students that were not surveyed could dislike coffee. This would lead
the new coffee shop into closing down from the lack of sales. When researchers do not receive
the conclusions they were expecting, they switch to p hacking. P hacking is when a surveyor
drops specific data points so that the p value will be under five percent. P hackers monitor data
while it is being collected. This would be the same as significance searching since the researchers
will produce false results so that they can reach their desired significance. Researcher degrees of
freedom also falls in a similar column that these other terms are in. A researcher degrees of
freedom influences the probability of a false positive result. Misunderstanding the p values is
extremely common, nevertheless, there are six ways researchers misinterpret p values often. The
most common misinterpretations of p values usually include: the p value does not indicate the size
or importance of the experiment, the significance level is not determined by the p value, the p value
is not the probability that replicating the experiment would produce to the same conclusion, and the
p value is not the probability of falsely rejecting the null hypothesis.

The Effects Of Myelin And Oligodendrocyte Dysfunctions
Abstract
Myelin and oligodendrocyte dysfunctions have been consistently found in patients with
schizophrenia. The effect of antipsychotics on myelin disturbances is unknown. The present study
examined the effects of quetiapine on oligodendrocyte regeneration and myelin repair in a
demyelination animal model.
C57BL/6 mice were fed with cuprizone (0.2% w/w) for 12 weeks to induce chronic demyelination
and oligodendrocyte degeneration, after which cuprizone was withdrawn to allow recovery.
Quetiapine (10 mg/kg/day) or vehicle (water) was administrated orally to mice for 0, 2, 3, or 4
weeks after cuprizone withdrawal. Locomotor activity and Y maze tests were used to evaluate
behavioral changes in the mice. Immunohistochemical staining was ... Show more content on

Gene expression analysis has found dysregulation of OL/myelin related genes in schizophrenia
patients (Hakak et al., 2001). Neuropathology and neuroimaging studies have also found myelin
abnormalities and OL degeneration, particularly in the frontal lobe, temporal lobe, and corpus
callosum (CC) in schizophrenic patients (McDonald et al., 2005; Schlosser et al., 2007). OL
survival, restoration and myelin repair are important compensatory mechanisms that maintain
normal brain function (Franklin and Ffrench Constant, 2008) and it is important to understand the
role of OL dysfunction in schizophrenia and the effects of treatment.
Atypical antipsychotics (APDs) are the first line treatment for schizophrenia. But their mechanisms
of action are not well understood. Studies have found that the APD quetiapine prevented the
cortical OL demise resulting from cuprizone (CPZ) treatment in mice (Zhang et al., 2008) and
facilitated OL lineage development in vitro (Zhang et al., 2008). In addition, neuroimaging studies
showed that APD treatment resulted in increased myelination in patients with schizophrenia
(Bartzokis et al., 2009). These studies suggest that APDs may exert their therapeutic effects by
enhancing OL function and myelin integrity. The gap between in vitro and human neuroimaging
studies emphasizes the importance of the development of an animal model to study the link
between molecular and cellular changes and the pathological and behavioral outcomes after APD
treatment.

At the conclusion of this report, I will try to show whether there is a relationship between India s
Foreign Corporate Tax Rate and India s Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). Through my research,
we see that India s foreign corporate tax rate affects its FDI negatively. The time period we will
be looking at will be from 1997 2013, due to the limited data available. Furthermore, I will explore
some policy improvements which may increase FDI in India.
1. Background
FDI is defined as cross border investment by a resident entity in one economy with the objective of
obtaining a lasting interest in an enterprise resident in another economy. The lasting interest implies
the existence of a long term relationship between the direct investor and the enterprise and a
significant degree of influence by the direct investor on the management of the enterprise.
Ownership of at least 10% of the voting power, representing the influence by the investor, is the
basic criterion used. (OECD Factbook 2013: Economic, Environmental and Social Statistics)
Foreign direct investments were prohibited in India prior to 1991. Liberalization was introduced
in 1991 which allowed for FDI. Defense, petroleum gas, banking, airline, telecom, single brand
retail, and multi brand retail are fields investors can enter after obtaining approval. Below we see
the investment caps for each industry (EY). The title of this report is FDI by FDI , which was
phrased by the new prime minister of India, Mr.

The Best Employee Motivation Efforts
The best employee motivation efforts will focus on what the employees deem to be important. It
may be that employees within the same department of the same organization will have different
motivators. Many organizations today find that flexibility in job design and reward systems has
resulted in employees increased longevity with the company, improved productivity, and better
morale. According to survey results, USAA may benefit greatly by incorporating the following
recommendations as it relates to increasing employee motivation.
Empowering Employees
Giving employees more responsibility and decision making authority increases their realm of
control over the tasks for which they are held responsible and better equips them to carry out those
tasks. As a result, feelings of frustration arising from being held accountable for something one does
not have the resources to carry out are diminished. (Maroney, 2004).
Creativity and Innovation
When the power to create in the organization is pushed down from the top to line personnel,
employees who know a job, product, or service best are given the opportunity to use their ideas to
improve it. The power to create motivates employees and benefits the organization in having a
more flexible work force, using more wisely the experience of its employees, and increasing the
exchange of ideas and information among employees and departments. (Maroney, 2004).
Advancement Opportunities
Promotions motivate employees by appealing to their

Spotify Inventory Chart
From my inventory chart, it can be easily noted that I spend most of my time on Spotify. As
someone who enjoys listening to music whether it be driving to class or washing the dishes,
music plays an essential part of my daily life. In a broader sense, I spend a fair amount of time on
social media. Throughout the day I look for entertainment or the latest news on platforms such as
Twitter or Instagram. YouTube is my most used social media platform, as it contains a large variety
of videos that manages to keep my attention longer than others such as Facebook. Since I tend to
spend most of my time listening to music, from a business aspect, I would spend more money
consuming music. Spotify is one of my only services that I pay for monthly and

According to Deloitte s 2014 Global Powers of Retailing Report, it identifies the 250 largest
retailers around the world based on publicly available data for fiscal 2012 encompassing
companies fiscal years ended through to June 2013; however, here mainly focuses on the Top 10
retailers analysis.
As shown on the above table in Deloitte s report, with 5% revenue growth, retail giant Wal Mart
increased its lead in 2012. Carrefour, formerly the world s second largest retailer in 2011 (see
Appendix A), fell to fourth place since its declining sales. Tesco, second place in the ranking,
was also impacted by discontinued operations, having decided to shutter its Fresh Easy
operations in the United States. It was also a year of transformation for Metro Group. The
changes that Metro sold its parts of unit and operation dropped it from fourth to seventh place.
Meanwhile, a double digit sales gain boosted Costco from sixth place to third in 2012. And
Target joined the top 10 leader board for the first time in 2012, replacing Walgreen (Deloitte,
2014). As a group, with retail revenue growth of 4.2% vs. 4.9%, the top 10 grew more slowly
than the Top 250 in 2012. Profitability for the broader group also has been lagged by that of the
leaders. At 2.8%, the composite net profit margin of top 10 was

Themes Of The Play Two Trains Running
The themes of the play are Two Trains Running is a political play that makes extended reference to
the black power movement and its impact on poor urban communities like the Hill District of
Pittsburgh. The issue of continued white oppression of African Americans and the response of the
black community during the 1960s is at the foreground of the characters experience. The
community surrounding the restaurant is undergoing a major redevelopment, probably one which
has been precipitated by the social initiatives that came in the wake of the civil rights movement.
However, the legal rights and privileges that the African Americancommunity won during the
1950s and 1960s do not seem necessarily to extend to impoverished city dwellers. An underlying
sense of tragedy and hopelessness pervades even short term victories such as the city awarding
Memphis thirty five thousand dollars, since Memphis remains estranged from his wife and has the

Family Reflection Essay
ECFS 200Childhood Reflection Assignment I grew up in a small town in Eastern Washington
close to the Idaho border. Being the first born, I spent my childhood years mostly at home and at
my parents restaurant. I pretty much grew up in the restaurant; the employees that have been
there since the beginning are basically my second family. I would spend most of my time in the
restaurant while my parents worked, doing math problems or napping in the back office.
Occasionally, I would be babysat by a friend of my parents that lived in the next town over. The
town was about 10 minutes away and was convenient for my parents when they knew it was going
to be a busy day at the restaurant. People would describe my childhoodself as shy and quiet, yet very
energetic. I think that my temperament, my diversity and culturethat I grew up in, and the risk
factors that came up in my childhood had an influence in shaping me into the person I am today.
As Professor Clevenger Bright stated in the lecture on family systems, there are three general
temperaments: the easy children , the difficult children , and the slow to warm up (2016a). I feel
like I grew up being in two different temperaments, and the two are the slow to warm up and the
easy children . Being a shy and quiet child, I wasn t always the first person to be really excited in a
new environment. Especially when I started to go to preschool, I have heard many stories of the
first few days of school when I wouldn t stop crying until I threw up so that my parents had to
take me home. As I slowly adapted and got more comfortable being away from my parents, it
was easier for me to be happy in participating in new activates and new routines during the school
day. Going to a small school, I was able to warm up faster to new stimuli because of the tight knit
surrounding of my friends and teachers. Now, I am able to quickly adapt to new environments
and new people. Along with temperaments, diversity and culture played a role in my childhood.
Growing up in an Asian household in a majority White community, I was submersed in two
different cultures. Going to a friend s house always felt a little weird, especially at the age of 6
because I spent the majority of my time at

The Price Of Persecution By Toni Morrison s The Bluest Eye
The Price of Persecution
The plight of the weak against the powerful is one of the oldest and compelling stories that can
be told, and it has always been the story of race in the United States. Toni Morrison s The Bluest
Eye is a candid look into the lives of African Americans in the early 1940 s, focusing on the
drama surrounding the coming of age of young girls. The debilitating effects of racism, sexism,
and classism on children and adults of different social statuses are explored through the stories of a
number of families. By illustrating a society in which each class elevates itself by oppressing those
below them, Morrison demonstrates how the cyclical nature of oppression can cripple a community

Her son, forbidden from befriending children deemed too black and uncultured, initially longed
for a connection with the boys whose hardness... and wild blackness (87) he admires. However, he
eventually internalizes the message that the shade of his skin renders him superior to his peers and
he decides to avoid contact with them. Geraldine s obsession with pedantic distinctions between
different groups of black residents in Lorain leads her son and the whole next generation to
preserve the biases of their parents. The maltreatment practiced by those of mixed race has a real
impact on those they perceive as inferior. Maureen Peal is a wealthy mixed race girl that moves
to Pecola s school. She enters Pecola s narrative by holding some boys intent on harrassing
Pecola at bay and starts a friendly conversation with her. Soon after, she turns on Pecola and
feeling her image being threatened yells I am cute! And you ugly! Black and ugly black e mos.
I am cute! (73). Pecola, who had idolized Maureen for her cute looks and popularity, is
devastated. The repetition in Maureen s declaration mirrors the constancy of society s message
to young black girls like Pecola: she is not valuable, and it is because of her race. Maureen, as a
person of mixed race, is hardly the model most white children would aspire to. She possesses only
an increment of superiority over girls like Pecola, but that slight advantage allows her to show

Dear the University of Michigan Central Student Government,
As an undergraduate student at the University of Michigan concerned with the stress levels of
my peers, I am writing to address the issue of not having enough stress reducing activities for
students year round. As we all know, college is a very stressful time. Not a week goes by without
having an exam, an essay due, or a presentation to give. And if it does, we spend that week
prepping for whatever assignment we have the following week. We never get a break. This is why

2012). A reduction in heart rate and a reduction in blood pressure are both signs of stress reduction,
which shows that interacting with therapy dogs get the job done. This type of stress reduction is
easy and accessible, and it is what the students here at the University of Michigan need.
The Central Student Government might argue that it is not feasible to have therapy dogs available
at all times every single day, which is true, but having them around about once a week would
suffice. The Central Student Government might also believe that the University of Michigan does
not have the resources or money to make this happen, but many therapy dog owners volunteer their
time, rather than get paid for it, so money is not an issue. For example, the organization that the
University of Michigan already uses, named Therapaws of Michigan , is a non profit
organization and all of their therapy dog owners are volunteers. It does not cost anything for
them to come help us out. Also, space should not be an issue either because first of all, there are

Society In Pre Colonial Society
Pre colonial society were easy to gain control of because they did not want to fight or have any
war so they decided on peaceful arrangements. Their religion also made it easy for colonizer to
gain control because they were very superstitious and would always need to consult the oracle
before doing anything. Pre colonial society was easy to gain control of since there was no one to
lead the clan in unity since they went off titles. The people of pre colonial society were very
oblivion so they would give the colonizers anything that they would ask for. The elements of pre
colonial society that made it vulnerable to the colonizers were that they were unwilling to fight,
superstitious due to their religion, had no leader and were oblivion. The Village of Umuofia was
peaceful and the people were not willing to fight for any reason and if it was possible they will
rather settle it with a peaceful settlement. In the second chapter, the village of Umuofia had a
problem with the village of Mbaino since one of Umuofia daughter was murdered in Mbaino
and they gave them a choice to either have a war or to give up a fifteen year old and a virgin of
their own to replace the murdered daughter of their village (11). The villages did not want to go
to war with Umuofia when they have a problem because that village is known for having strong
men and so they will rather decide on a peaceful settlement rather than go to war with them and

Crusher And The Black Death
Wreaking havoc throughout Europe, The Black Death was a destructive plague that left over
twenty million dead in its track. Despite the atrocious consequences of this disease, it yielded a
favourable aftermath such as the stability of the European population and the increase in demand
for work (Damen, 2015). Similarly to The Black Death, the novel Crusher by Niall Leonard shows
that positive outcomes often appear from situations that may seem negative. The protagonist of the
novel, Finn Maguire, finds himself as the prime suspect in the murder investigation of his father,
Noel. The murder of Finn s father and his pursuit to clear his name reflect the notion that there are
trials that appear bitter to the core which are often blessings in disguise. As a result of Noel s
murder, Finn forms a passionate relationship with a girl named Zoe, reconnects with his mother, and
obtains a grand inheritance from Noel s friend.
Meeting Zoe is one of the positive things that happen to Finn as a result of his father s murder
investigation. Their paths intersect when Finn is gathering information about Noel from his
friends. Zoe and Finn are the first person in each other s lives that reciprocate the love and

Abu Ghraib Prison Experiment Essay
Abu Ghraib Prison was a cruel and inhumane form of torture that occurred during the famous era
of Saddam Hussein. Twenty miles west of Baghdad, Abu Ghraib stood as the most infamous
prisons the world has ever seen. There was reported weekly executions, daily torture and barbarous
living conditions. As many as fifty thousand men and women were crammed into Abu Ghraib at
once. During the war against Iraq, The United States Army took over the prison and committed
extenuous human rights violations against the prisoners. Detainees were raped, beaten, stripped,
deprived of food and sleep, hung by their wrists and threatened with death all under American
control. A famous picture taken at Abu Ghraib depicts an Iraqi standing on a box, in a scarecrow like

Though this was just an experiment many of the test subjects were quickly pushed to their limits
and the ones in authority took their roles to the extreme. Eventually, this caused an early shut
down of the experiment. There was a total of 9 students who were willing to be the prisoners in
this experiment. The study issued that the guards would be forced to give brutal and cruel torture
upon the prisoner. The experiment was known as one of the most controversial studies in the
history of social psychology because even though it was an experiment, the prisoners went through
major psychological changes and one prisoner even succumbed to a short period of insanity.
Through deindividualized torture, exploitation and manipulation many of the test subjects
underwent the same torture as those who were imprisoned at Abu Ghraib. It was finally shut down
by a woman by the name of Christina Maslach but similarly to Abu Ghraib no one was held
accountable for the short period of torture. Also like Abu Ghraib, the men who played the role of
the guards in The Stanford Prison Experiment underwent psychological changes where they became
evil, relentless and manipulative all while blaming it on the fact that they re just following orders.

Man On Wire, By James Marsh
Man on wire which was set in 1947 directed by James Marsh about a french high wire artist
Philippe Petit who is fascinated by New Yorks trade Centre where he has strung a six metre tight
rope between the twin tires and walked across it without any fear. The documentary is about Petit s
daring attempt, the aftermath and about his friends and the people who helped him achieve his life
goals. Some consider it the artistic crime of the century The director has used many techniques to
captivate audiences making us feel like we are apart of this incredible story. Techniques such as
Interviews and archival footage.
One of the most widely used documentary techniques is interviews. Interviews reflect opinions
from different viewpoints creating an almost 3 dimensional story. Its helps the audience feel
more engaged as it is coming from a person s point of view who was involved in the events
making it feel more realistic. The audience can be assured that the story is not made up. Interviews
give a sense of realism. Man on wire is a good example of the interview style being used to reflect
feelings of the time Petit was on his way to making his dream come a reality. The emotions at
some point were exaggerating maybe because he is a performer. But this made us as viewers feel
apart of the film being able to sympathize with the characters and storyline. Marsh uses a technique
where we see the subject talking on screen but we do not hear the interviewer talking or asking
questions.

Bach s Complex Compositional Style
Bach s complex compositional style incorporates religious and numerological symbols that fit
perfectly together in a puzzle of musical code. Demanding unfaltering facility in dexterity, precise
pitch, particularly in the multiple stoppings, as well as sensitivity to implied polyphonic and
harmonic textures. These exceptional works may be the closest thing we have to a perfect
composition, so why is it that musicians have drastically different alterations and interpretations of

adaptation. By mapping out these alterations performers make to Bach s music, it becomes possible

Drive of rhythm sets the motion of the piece, whether or not it will be slow or fast, moving from
strong to weak beats, creating a pulse. Finally, the expression of form is the full statement of the
piece. It is the contrast between high points and pulling back, frantic moments of fury versus
subdued passages. Combined, these details will be used to analyze the musical message the artists,
Hilary Hahn and Jascha Heifetz are trying to convey to their listeners. Hilary Hahn s rendition of
the Allemand averages at about 80 beats a quarter note. This relatively slow tempoaccompanied by
her deep tone and clarity in pitch creates a dramatic and somber impression. She shapes the
phrases with slurs followed by articulate punctuation notes. Contour is created with crescendos to
an emphasized bass voice and slight decrescendos to a soft and singing soprano voice. Together,
they flow back and forth in search of the resolving major chord in the middle of the movement. In
the second half of the piece Hahn returns to the minor mode. Again, swelling and decaying phrases
are used, climaxing in peaks of scalar sentences, all building to the final chord in D. In the
Corrente, Hahn bites down on the first full quarter note, releases, then builds to an upbeat passage
of about 116 beats per quarter note. Driven with a dance like pulse, Hahn playfully performs runs,
mixed with short and light measures of dotted eighth and sixteenth groups. She phrases by

The Standard Of Living By Dorothy Parker
Romance is a Luxury: A Queer Analysis of The Standard of Living The Standard of Living is a
short story by Dorothy Parker that is centered around Annabel and Midge, coworkers and
confidants. This short story is doubtlessly homosocial, but is also arguably coded as sociosexually
queer. The main homosociosexual coding in this story can be found in the absent men and the
indifferent attitude toward them and in the association between foodand sex in literature that is
featured in the opening paragraph of the story. Annabel and Midge play a gamethroughout the story
that is based on an imagined anonymous inheritance of a million dollars, this specification,
according to Ross Labrie, an author and historian, ensures that the recipient can clear her life of the
human attachments so that she can concentrate on the money (Labrie). The catch, though, is that
the will states, You must spend every nickel of the money on yourself or the money will be lost
(Parker 29). This game creates movement in the story. It is also a form of wish fulfillment for
Annabel and Midge. In this game, they are able to imagine a future of wealth, decadence, and each
other. In literature, names are indicative of importance. Culturally, names and naming are
practically the cornerstones of society, literature is no different. The importance of names and
naming is in this story is heightened by the short length of it. In The Standard of Living, not a
single male character has a name. Usually,

James Madison Accomplishments
James Madison s Accomplishments James Madison (1751 1836) was a founding father of the
United States who is famous for the contribution he made towards the U.S. Constitution. His
accomplishments include the Virginia Plan, an outline for a new constitution; directed the
Philadelphia Convention towards forming a new constitution; and contributed to the Federalist
Papers, which promoted the ratification of the constitution. Apart from being the Father of the
Constitution, Madison is also recognized as the Father of the Bill of Rights, the first ten
amendments to the Constitution. He served as U.S. Secretary of State under President Thomas
Jeffersonbefore becoming the fourth President of the United Statesin 1809. The foreign affairs
during his presidency were dominated by the War of 1812 with Great Britain while his domestic
policy focused on an effective taxation system and a well funded standing professional military.
Madison s path towards the creation of a new constitution began with the Philadelphia Convention
where he presented the Virginia Plan. This plan promised that it would supersede the ineffective
Articles that were currently in place, and a new more effective constitution would pick up its role.

The Development of Marketing and the Marketing Process
Having a well planned out strategy created by your marketing team is essential to your organization
s success. IT will help you to achieve that goals that you set for the organization and help in
attaining the profitability that every business person wants to achieve.
But before we get into how marketing came about and how it evolved we have to understand what
marketing is and what marketing has made marketing as we know it today. According to the
American Marketing Association, marketing is the activity, set of institutions, and processes for
creating, communicating, delivering, and exchanging offerings that have value for customers,
clients, partners, and society at large (American Marketing Association, 2013, para. 1) With that
being said marketing really started to show up in the early 1900 s when people started to realize
that there was a correlation between buying power and demand. In addition to the correlation it
was realized that buying power and demand could be manipulated in favor of the seller with the
help of advertising. The sellers were realizing that they could take their products and pare it with a
perceived value and more people would be attracted to it and purchase the products or services.
Well now that we know that sellers could add value to their products

It is also predicted that mini notebook sales to children will be the quickest growing segment
among PCs (Kitagawa). Considering this information there are many routes Apple can take to
increase their market share in the personal computer industry. First, for consumers who want
cheaper options, portability, and great design, Apple should use this as an opportunity to
position the iPad as an alternative to the mini notebook. The $499 device is capable of running
Apple s version Microsoft Office, iWorks, and in the future the iPad application store may
include Microsoft Office apps. The device basically allows consumers to do more or less the
same things as a mini notebook but has the sleeker design and more user friendly interface that
consumers are demanding. An alternative to this would be for Apple to design a mini notebook
version of the Macintosh since at present, the closest thing Apple has to compete with this product
is the Apple Air, which while it does weigh less than most computers on the market, the product is
still very wide in comparison to the standard mini notebook (IPad See the Web, Email, and Photos

I believe that history does impact the development of present day advocacy efforts in a significant
way. According to Meyers, efforts to protect children from abuse and neglect dates back to the
colonial times. Through individual advocates and organized parties many great events related to
children s rights came about over the years. Some of these events include minimum age laws for
factory work, day nurseries for low income wives and widows, orphan trains, the first white house
conference, the Children s Bureau, The ChildAbuse Prevention and Treatment Act, and more
recently in 2011 rights protected under the first amendment were extended to children.

The Poor Performance Of Euro Disney
1)
From the Case Study, we can see that many different factors came together and contributed to the
poor performance of Euro Disney during its first year.
The primary reason for the failure in its first year was its high cost as EuroDisney was charging
280 Dollars to enjoy the attractions of the park and the hotel was charging prices comparable to the
most luxurious hotels in Paris. In addition the airfares were cheaper to Disneyworld in Florida with
guaranteed good weather.
The Disney executives also made a major mistake in understanding and researching the French and
European culture. The French people rejected the, thru Disney imposed, American culture because
they just introduced American cartoon characters and did not look after the French eating and
living behaviors.
Disney saw Europe as one big target group, although the cultures in Europe are extremely distinct
and independent.
EuroDisney also failed meet the French people through their advertisement. Rather than promoting
the theme park and its attractions itself, they focused more on the size and glamour behind it.
The Disneyland in Hong Kong also faced different problems. First of all the Chinese people were
not familiar with the Disney characters as they were banned for over 40 years in China. Also it just
offered a few rides, compared to other Disney Worlds, so customers were not highly interested in
visiting it. But it performed better as it included a lot of Chinese culture.

How Did D-Day Make Canada s Identity
D Day was a defining moment for Canada because they proved their power and abilities as a
middle power, captured the heaviest defended beach, and covered the most land on the first day.
Canada contributed a lot to the war effort during World War Two. I believe that D Day was more
significant to making Canadas identity than their involvement at Vimy Ridge. Their victory at Juno
Beach is known as a turning point which ended World War Two. It was one of the first times
Canada fought independently and everyone in Canada including the French Canadian, African
Canadian, and women were supporting the effort, which even sparked the change for equality.
Canada displayed their power and abilities to the rest of the world during the normandy landings
on June 6, 1944 and proved themselves as a middle power. D Day was the day Allied forces
planned an invasion to push German forces back into Germany and end World War Two. Canada
contributed a lot to the Allies such as materials, ammunition, ships, etc. They had the third largest
navy and fourth largest air force. The Royal Canadian Navy sent 110 ships and 10, 000 sailors,

Bushcraft Vs Survival Research Paper
THE INTRODUCTION
In many blogs and Youtube videos that I ve seen, there are countless of discussions about
bushcraft vs survival (craft), what do they mean and what are the differences between them? It s
true that there are undeniable similarities about them because they tend to involve the wilderness
and the outdoors, shelter, fire, water, etc. However, in fact the two things are quite different. In
this post I d like to briefly talk about what each one is, how they differ from each other and why it
s important to understand the differences. Keep in mind that these are my opinions and you may or
may not agree, it s all good.
DIFFERENT IN DEFINITIONS
First of all, I want to mention the basic meaning of those two things so that we can see the
differences in theory. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Mean while Bushcraft is defined as:
Skill in anything pertaining in bush country.
Ability and experience in matters concerns with living in the bush.
I tend to break it down like this:
A survival situation is any kind of events (usually short term, about 72 hours or less, though some
can go much longer) that required you to take action to save your life or other s life. The main goal
here is not only just survival but to return home, either through rescue and search team or your own
navigational ability.
Bushcraft is completely different, where it implies a long term strategy and unnecessarily an
unexpected circumstance or an instant danger to life. People into bushcraft often go into wilderness
intentionally with minimal amount of gears to test their abilities and horn their skills, not to
survive but to exist and thrive in the nature.
So basically in survival (craft), you stuck in the wilderness and try to find your way back to
civilization while in bushcraft, you use your refined skills to make comfort out of the situation. It is
perhaps in the mindset of the person who do the

required capabilities to the war fighters. B 2 stealth bomber has unique wing configuration and
stealth technology. The structure of B 2 is similar to B 35 which was developed in 1940 s by
Northrop. The first B 2 was displayed publicly on November 22, 1988. Its flight was on July 17,
1989. This aircraft got its full operational capability in Dec., 2003. The main contractor which is
responsible for its system integration and design is Northrop Grumman Integrated Systems.
Development of B 2 was started in 1981. Air Force was given approval for the procurement of
132 operational B 2 aircrafts in 1987, mainly for strategic bombing missions. The purpose of
development of B 2 was changed to regular operations after the demise of the Soviet Union. So,
the order was reduced to 20 operational aircrafts and one test aircraft.

Analysis of Jules Ferry s argument on French Colonial Expansion 1884
The industrial revolution was not only a time of great advancement for the west but was equally
troubling for the European countries, especially that of France. Jules Ferry, a French statesmen
recognized a need for expansion and took it upon himself to go in front of French parliament to
argue his position of the need for French colonial expansion. The arguments he made in support of
his country were of economical, humanitarian, and patriotic views.
The first of these arguments was economical in nature. Ferry felt it urgent to expand the French
colonies because he recognized a change in foreign economic strategies that would directly affect
France. He saw that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They believed that Ferry wanted to take these small underdeveloped African and Asian countries
by force and use them for colonial expansion. I don t believe that his critics liked the idea of
forcing expansion. I think that Ferry s reasoning were more humanitarian in nature. He wanted to
develop and educate these countries and by doing this for them it would create new markets for
France. He also justifies his remarks by saying that they will never become great by being do
nothing people. He said that to be great that they had to act and that the choices they made would
decide how great they could become.
Ferry s last argument was that of patriotism. Ferry was a patriot, a countryman if you will. He
believed that his country was great but could be greater. This is why his last argument was on the
defense of his country A country should be as self sufficient as possible when it comes to its
national defense, and so to compete with the military and naval expansion of rival nations it would
only be logical to make a move that would strengthen military forces. Ferry expressed a need for
safe harbors, defenses, and supply centers for naval ships. Ferry uses an example of a war ship
and talks about the fact that regardless of how perfect the war ship is designed that it cannot carry
more than two week of coal. Ferry understood that it was an essential move for strengthening and
extending the reach of

In this modern world, learning a new language is a huge endeavor in a person s life. In order for
someone to learn a new language, it is necessary for them to learn the language structure, its
phonemes, facial expressions, word collocations, and other detail aspects related to learning a
language. When communicating with someone that can fluently speak the languageyou are trying to
learn, talking to them may be a challenge because it takes awhile for someone who is foreign with
the language to find the right words to properly express the message you are trying to convey.
When learning the English language, I usually focus on learning words through images and books.
I hardly ever translate the words to or from my language because... Show more content on

Most establishments, street signs, and just about what I see around the city use English as the
official language and this makes it easier for me to learn and remember English. Also, in order
for us to be promoted to the next grade level, we need to pass English class and use English as the
primary language in all classes. We only use Filipino as a secondary language in school.
Speaking a different language with a different word structures and accent makes learning and
speaking English quite challenging at first. For instance, English puts the adjective before a noun
whereas most other languages in the world put it after the noun. English has so many idioms and
expressions that it makes quite confusing to learn. We usually don t speak English with friends
and at home back there and because of this; it can get more problematic to retain what was
previously learned because of lack of exposure.
I was fortunate enough to go to private school because I don t think a public school in my previous
country would have the same English academic standards as the classes found in private schools. I
took an English class since kindergarten because of it being the universal language and I thought
that it might be helpful for me to learn especially in business and when watching American
television shows and Hollywood movies, where the English language is predominantly used.
I realized that starting to learn a new language at a young age was a great idea because if I

Taking a Look at Clinical Trials
Every medical innovation starts with an idea or vision, and goes through several developmental
stages, namely, basic research, translational research and clinical research before being able to
market the treatment. (4) This treatment can be a drug, a medical device, a vaccine, a blood
product or gene therapy. (3) The basic research is done in a laboratory, where cell function is
studied, and it is determined under what conditions the treatment could cause cells to function more
effectively. The treatment is then tested in animals to see the effect, and to test possible toxicity.
Once the treatment has been named safe for use in animals, it can then be tested in humans. (4)
Clinical research, or clinical trials, involves the testing of the treatment in human volunteers,
working towards the approval of the treatment to be marketed. (3) The research that bridges the gap
between studies done in the laboratory and clinical trials is then known as translational research. (4)
The main purpose of a clinical trial is to determine if the treatment is safe and effective for human
use, and is required by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) before a treatment can be
approved. There are, however, other reasons these trials are performed. They can be used to
compare the new treatment to an already existing one to determine which is more effective, and to
determine different ways in which to use current treatments in order for them to be most effective,
easiest to use and provide the

Arias Al Desio Di Chi T Adora
The arias Al desio di chi t adora from Mozart s revised le Nozze di Figaro sung by the character
Susanna, and Come scoglio from Mozart s cosi fan tutte sung by the character Fiordiligi were
both sung by Adriana Ferrarese Del Bene at their premieres. Mozart wanted all arias he wrote for
singers to fit them like a well made garment (?) so wrote them to fit their vocal abilities and
strengths. In this essay I will be looking at the vocal abilities of Adriana and how Mozart used
them in these arias to identify similar characteristics between the two arias, proving what her
strengths were by being highlighted in more than one aria. First I will discuss Adriana s
background, where she came from and what her musical career was like before Mozart wrote
these arias for her. Next we will look at Mozart s involvement with her and what his opinion of
her was. Next I will look at each aria individually and identify characteristics that are similar in
each aria to show that these certain features were written to show off specifically Adriana s
strengths as a singer. And last I will compare the two arias to show that there are similarities in the
two which highlight Adriana s... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Growing Up In A Polish Language
Misunderstanding
Most people think languages are different from one another. The languages origin, pronunciation
and grammar. That in fact is not true. Many languages have similarly spelled and pronounced
words that mean the same or similar thing. Most languages around the world use Latin and Greek
words, for example in the medical field but not only. Being a bilingual student I think sharing
origins of words can be very helpful in learning a new language. Growing up in a Polish family,
speaking polish, practing polish culture and tradition made me realize how difficult Polish language
is. Many polish words are composed of letters like; Д…, Еј, Гі, Д‡. These letters are similar to the
ones you can see in a spanish alphabet. At the age of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In matter of fact I could understand and communicate with more people, compared to my mom.
Many jobs require you to speak more than one language and that is why I have the job I have.
Or simply you can go behind someone else s back so they do not find out what you said. That
may be a reason why many conflicts occur, sometimes by mistake and some on purpose. I am a
good example of that. As my dentist appointment approached. I sat on the examining chair with
my mom by my side and was ready to get my tooth pulled. First I got my teeth cleaned by a
family friend dental hygienist, but as a saw the dentist approaching my direction I realized it
was time. Meanwhile the doctor looked throughout my chart I told my mom how scared I was
and how I should not be here. We noticed the dentist was not as pleasant as her online reviews
said. She s was not one of those doctors to stop once in awhile to ask if everything is ok, or
simply take a minute break. She belonged to one of those that jenks a tooth out and leaves.
Having said the dental hygienist was a family friend and she noticed we were not as happy
leaving as she expected. The Doctor also complained to her how we were very rude. My mom and
I were both shocked, thinking opposite what the hygienist have said. Lilia the hygienist threw a
little smirk and said that the doctor overheard mine and my mother s conversation in polish when
she was in the room with us. Apparently we called her a bitch. I then understood what

  • 2. Stop Animal Extinction Have you heard that many animals today are going extinct because of people polluting the water, air Also because they are hunting animals for their fur, skins, and horns. But with your hearing the research I have conducted, I think you can also help stop animal extinction.I wanted to research this because I like animals and I want to stop animalextinction. I have been reading and learning about animals for my whole life . when I figured out that animal extinction meant animals are going to not be existing anymore, I knew I had to research about animal extinction. Have you asked yourself? What causes animal extinction? Well, what causes animal extinction is deforestation, greenhouse gases, forest fires, and pollution. By burning fossil fuels, we are making hotter temperatures, melting polar glaciers Globally, power generation is responsible for about 23 billion tonnes of CO2 emissions per year Greenhouses gases, such as carbon dioxide, trap heat in the atmosphere and regulate our climate. These gases exist naturally, but humans adding more carbon dioxide by burning fossil fuels for energy (coal, oil, and natural gas) and by clearing forests.Greenhouse gases act like a blanket. The thicker the blanket, the warmer our planet becomes. At the same time, the Earth s oceans are also absorbing some of this extra carbon dioxide, making them more acidic and less hospitable to sea life I think that animals cannot be stopped but helped because animals are going to die and get ... • 3. What Is The Theme Of Iago In Othello Honest, meaning free of deceit and untruthfulness; sincere. All of which Iago is not. This can be surprising considering the numerous times the word honest is used in Othello to reference Iago. Throughout the play the audience gets a first hand look of how Iago contributes to the theme of appearance versus reality that creates dramatic irony. To begin with, analyzing Iago s character is an important part. One article mentions that Iago, ... can play a number of roles convincingly, and is able to adapt his tone and style to suit any occasion. ( Villainous Role of Iago in Othello ). For one, this line is ironic because Iago s motive for his plan against Othello is in fact because he is jealous. It is also ironic because Iago is pretending to warn Othello of jealousy to appear as a loyal and caring friend. This next part of Iago s character plays an equally important role in the play. Reaction Experiment On Reaction Time Experiment Science Assignment Title: Reaction Time Experiment Aim: To find out what happens to a subject s reaction time when different independent variables are applied. Introduction: Reaction time is the time between the presentation of a stimulus and the initiation of the muscular response to that stimulus ( the free dictionary [26/07/14].The purpose of this test was to identify what happens to reaction times as different independent variables are applied. The nervous system helps all parts of the body to communicate with each other, it is responsible for making sure all of the body s parts coordinate properly. The nervous system is the centre of all the body s activity (better health channel [26/07/14]). The brain and spinal cord make up the central nervous system and all the other nerves in the body part of the peripheral nervous system. Inside nerves lie neurons, neurons are found in the brain, spinal cord and the peripheral nerves (PubMed Health [26/07/14]). They are also known as nerve cells. These neurons have the same structure as plant and animal cells (differencebetween.net [27/07/14]). Neurons are made up of a cell body, dendrites, a nucleus, an axon and a myelin sheath (the nervous system [27/07/14]). The myelin sheath surrounds the nerve fibre of axon and protects the body from the electrical charge that nerves have (GCSE Bite size [27/07/14]). • 5. Essay on Nature in Context vs. Nature out of Context Nature in Context vs. Nature out of Context Nature has long been the focus of many an author s work, whether it is expressed through poetry, short stories, or any other type of literary creation. Authors have been given an endless supply of pictures and descriptions because of nature s infinite splendor that can be vividly reproduced through words. It is because of this fact that often a reader is faced with two different approaches to the way nature is portrayed. Some authors tend to look at nature from a more extensive perspective as in William Wordsworth s I wandered Lonely as a Cloud. While some authors tend to focus more on individual aspects of nature and are able to captivate the reader with their intimate portrayals of... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... But the second line in this poem, sometimes whoever seeks abroad may find, was particularly interesting to me for I relate to its feelings of optimism and accord. In a way it also seems that the second stanza is heavy with sleepiness, with the exception of the last four lines, as displayed in the above quote with words like the winnowing wind , Drows d , and sound asleep . The four last lines of the second stanza, as I mentioned earlier, describes Autumn in pure action, Steady thy laden head across a brook; /Or by a cider press, with patient look, by bringing out the true active lifestyle of what nature truly is. Again, through his imagination Keats is able to embark upon what he is really seeing. The purpose of the poem becomes clear in the final stanza, and in the warmth of the second line, Where are the songs of spring? Ay, where are they? /Think not of them, Thou hast thy music too, where Keats sheds light on the idea that that everything has a purpose. It would appear that Autumn, the season which robs us of the warmth of summer, where the leaves come tumbling from the trees, the season that prepares the world for a dark and cold winter ahead, has its purpose too. What would spring be without death, light without dark, but indeed it appears that Keats is thinking of life without death. In this poem, Keats is able to focus in on the beauty and splendid ness of autumn in order to demonstrate that everything will change according ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 10. Tim Burton’s Sleepy Hollow Essay Comparing Tim Burton s Sleepy Hollow with Washington Irving s The Legend of Sleepy Hollow In examining Washington Irving s The Legend of Sleepy Hollow alongside Tim Burton s film adaption of the story, titled Sleepy Hollow, a number of fascinating similarities and differences emerge. Though elements of the characters and settings of Burton s film borrow heavily from Irving s text, the overall structuring of the film is significantly different, and representations of various elements are crucially re imagined. Tim Burton s Sleepy Hollow was released on November 19, 1999, a few months before the new millennium. Set in 1799, Burton s film modifies the 1790 date that Irving s text is set in, showing an acute concern with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There is no narrator at all in Burton s film, and the action that the characters experience is firsthand, not retrospective or omniscient. Such a move takes away from the folk legend element of the story, transforming it into a supernatural spectacle for on the screen instead of a possibly supernatural tale for around the fireplace. The ways in which Irving and Burton code the city and the country in their respective productions is similarly impacted by the periods in which each man was working. Irving s Sleepy Hollow emphasizes local culture and the power of myth making within these cultures. In Irving s town of Sleepy Hollow, the tale of the headless horseman reigns, but does not extend outside of the local realm, and does not necessarily physically manifest: when Ichabod leaves for the city at the end of the narrative, the horseman does not follow him. However, in Burton s adaption, the tale of the headless horseman is not merely local folklore, but becomes elevated to the level of metropolitan news through the literal act of murder instead of the mere legend of murder. Crime, then, elevates the cultural status of the horseman from local legend to state wide murder suspect. Irving s story, noted by scholars such as Daniel Hoffmann for its powerful interpretation of local myth and mythic tropes, is transported into the realm of the metropolitan through the re characterization of New York as ... Her action would not have had any importance if she had not informed Odenigbo. She informs him purposedly ; to let him feel what she has felt when he did the samething with Amala. Here, Adichie uses her feminist weapon to charter such denigrating and degrading treatments meted out to women by their lover. Olanna has reached her goal because Odenigbo is upset and frustrated at hearing her love affair with Richard. He is obliged to forgive her the way she did to him. Adichie puts Odenigbo in the same condition he has put Olanna in to show that men through patriarchy should stop ill treating women and that like men women have a conscience, feelings and a soul. The situation reminds me of a custom in Things Fall Apart where the woman should say publicly how many men have slept with her since her fiancГ© has first expressed the desire to marry her (TFA ; 11). Bryant Dunetz had agreed to step down and allow Valhalla to search for a new CEO. This could be a risky endeavor because Dunetz may either refuse to step down after negotiations or the new CEO may not be a good fit. Language, By Nature External And Community Driven In his Philosophical Investigations Wittgenstein states that language is by nature external and community driven, therefore the notion of a private language is impossible. Wittgenstein argues that in a private language, the words of this language are to refer to what the speaker can know to his immediate private sensations. So another person cannot understand the language(PI 243). Wittgenstein contends that among other reasons private language is flawed in that there is no way that the speech community can verify to see if the language is being used correctly. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... No matter how you try to render the contents of your internal nature, there is no way to verify if another person could understand you fully. Since you cannot confirm even things that are seemingly universal, like the perception of a color it is futile that a completely personal language and the sensations associated with it would be fully perceptible to another person. The notion of private language is flawed because there is no way to really tell if what you are attempting to communicate is being perceived correctly by the other party. Since it is impossible to be witness to another person s thought process the conception of a private language is unsound. A fundamental truth about language is the fact that in order to communicate effectively, all parties involved must be able to understand the language that is being spoken. An integral part of understanding language and having a successful conversation is an underlying agreement as to the definitions of the words being used. Wittgenstein also claims that there is a fundamental agreement in judgements that is required for communication by means of language (PI 242). My research was not extreme enough to find the true difference between replication problem and replication crisis, nevertheless, a replication crisis is when a scientist finds results of many scientific experiments that are usually impossible to replicate on subsequent investigation. While a replication problem in social sciences would be that the scientists are not interested in experiments that have already been replicated (Visser). • 17. The Effects Of Myelin And Oligodendrocyte Dysfunctions Abstract Myelin and oligodendrocyte dysfunctions have been consistently found in patients with schizophrenia. The effect of antipsychotics on myelin disturbances is unknown. The present study examined the effects of quetiapine on oligodendrocyte regeneration and myelin repair in a demyelination animal model. C57BL/6 mice were fed with cuprizone (0.2% w/w) for 12 weeks to induce chronic demyelination and oligodendrocyte degeneration, after which cuprizone was withdrawn to allow recovery. Quetiapine (10 mg/kg/day) or vehicle (water) was administrated orally to mice for 0, 2, 3, or 4 weeks after cuprizone withdrawal. Locomotor activity and Y maze tests were used to evaluate behavioral changes in the mice. Immunohistochemical staining was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Gene expression analysis has found dysregulation of OL/myelin related genes in schizophrenia patients (Hakak et al., 2001). Neuropathology and neuroimaging studies have also found myelin abnormalities and OL degeneration, particularly in the frontal lobe, temporal lobe, and corpus callosum (CC) in schizophrenic patients (McDonald et al., 2005; Schlosser et al., 2007). OL survival, restoration and myelin repair are important compensatory mechanisms that maintain normal brain function (Franklin and Ffrench Constant, 2008) and it is important to understand the role of OL dysfunction in schizophrenia and the effects of treatment. Atypical antipsychotics (APDs) are the first line treatment for schizophrenia. But their mechanisms of action are not well understood. Studies have found that the APD quetiapine prevented the cortical OL demise resulting from cuprizone (CPZ) treatment in mice (Zhang et al., 2008) and facilitated OL lineage development in vitro (Zhang et al., 2008). In addition, neuroimaging studies showed that APD treatment resulted in increased myelination in patients with schizophrenia (Bartzokis et al., 2009). These studies suggest that APDs may exert their therapeutic effects by enhancing OL function and myelin integrity. The gap between in vitro and human neuroimaging studies emphasizes the importance of the development of an animal model to study the link between molecular and cellular changes and the pathological and behavioral outcomes after APD treatment. ... • 19. India s Foreign Corporate Tax Rate Abstract At the conclusion of this report, I will try to show whether there is a relationship between India s Foreign Corporate Tax Rate and India s Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). Through my research, we see that India s foreign corporate tax rate affects its FDI negatively. The time period we will be looking at will be from 1997 2013, due to the limited data available. Furthermore, I will explore some policy improvements which may increase FDI in India. 1. Background FDI is defined as cross border investment by a resident entity in one economy with the objective of obtaining a lasting interest in an enterprise resident in another economy. The lasting interest implies the existence of a long term relationship between the direct investor and the enterprise and a significant degree of influence by the direct investor on the management of the enterprise. Ownership of at least 10% of the voting power, representing the influence by the investor, is the basic criterion used. (OECD Factbook 2013: Economic, Environmental and Social Statistics) Foreign direct investments were prohibited in India prior to 1991. Liberalization was introduced in 1991 which allowed for FDI. Defense, petroleum gas, banking, airline, telecom, single brand retail, and multi brand retail are fields investors can enter after obtaining approval. Below we see the investment caps for each industry (EY). The title of this report is FDI by FDI , which was phrased by the new prime minister of India, Mr. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

It may be that employees within the same department of the same organization will have different motivators. Many organizations today find that flexibility in job design and reward systems has resulted in employees increased longevity with the company, improved productivity, and better morale. According to survey results, USAA may benefit greatly by incorporating the following recommendations as it relates to increasing employee motivation. Empowering Employees Giving employees more responsibility and decision making authority increases their realm of control over the tasks for which they are held responsible and better equips them to carry out those tasks. As a result, feelings of frustration arising from being held accountable for something one does not have the resources to carry out are diminished. (Maroney, 2004). Creativity and Innovation When the power to create in the organization is pushed down from the top to line personnel, employees who know a job, product, or service best are given the opportunity to use their ideas to improve it. The power to create motivates employees and benefits the organization in having a more flexible work force, using more wisely the experience of its employees, and increasing the exchange of ideas and information among employees and departments. Themes Of The Play Two Trains Running The themes of the play are Two Trains Running is a political play that makes extended reference to the black power movement and its impact on poor urban communities like the Hill District of Pittsburgh. The issue of continued white oppression of African Americans and the response of the black community during the 1960s is at the foreground of the characters experience. The community surrounding the restaurant is undergoing a major redevelopment, probably one which has been precipitated by the social initiatives that came in the wake of the civil rights movement. However, the legal rights and privileges that the African Americancommunity won during the 1950s and 1960s do not seem necessarily to extend to impoverished city dwellers. An underlying sense of tragedy and hopelessness pervades even short term victories such as the city awarding Memphis thirty five thousand dollars, since Memphis remains estranged from his wife and has the foreboding.. Being the first born, I spent my childhood years mostly at home and at my parents restaurant. I pretty much grew up in the restaurant; the employees that have been there since the beginning are basically my second family. I would spend most of my time in the restaurant while my parents worked, doing math problems or napping in the back office. Occasionally, I would be babysat by a friend of my parents that lived in the next town over. The town was about 10 minutes away and was convenient for my parents when they knew it was going to be a busy day at the restaurant. People would describe my childhoodself as shy and quiet, yet very energetic. I think that my temperament, my diversity and culturethat I grew up in, and the risk factors that came up in my childhood had an influence in shaping me into the person I am today. As Professor Clevenger Bright stated in the lecture on family systems, there are three general temperaments: the easy children , the difficult children , and the slow to warm up (2016a). I feel like I grew up being in two different temperaments, and the two are the slow to warm up and the easy children . Being a shy and quiet child, I wasn t always the first person to be really excited in a new environment. Especially when I started to go to preschool, I have heard many stories of the first few days of school when I wouldn t stop crying until I threw up so that my parents had to take me home. As I slowly adapted and got more comfortable being away from my parents, it was easier for me to be happy in participating in new activates and new routines during the school day. Going to a small school, I was able to warm up faster to new stimuli because of the tight knit surrounding of my friends and teachers. Now, I am able to quickly adapt to new environments and new people. Along with temperaments, diversity and culture played a role in my childhood. Growing up in an Asian household in a majority White community, I was submersed in two different cultures. The Price Of Persecution By Toni Morrison s The Bluest Eye The Price of Persecution The plight of the weak against the powerful is one of the oldest and compelling stories that can be told, and it has always been the story of race in the United States. Toni Morrison s The Bluest Eye is a candid look into the lives of African Americans in the early 1940 s, focusing on the drama surrounding the coming of age of young girls. The debilitating effects of racism, sexism, and classism on children and adults of different social statuses are explored through the stories of a number of families. By illustrating a society in which each class elevates itself by oppressing those below them, Morrison demonstrates how the cyclical nature of oppression can cripple a community and family for generations. Geraldine s obsession with pedantic distinctions between different groups of black residents in Lorain leads her son and the whole next generation to preserve the biases of their parents. The maltreatment practiced by those of mixed race has a real impact on those they perceive as inferior. Maureen Peal is a wealthy mixed race girl that moves to Pecola s school. This short story is doubtlessly homosocial, but is also arguably coded as sociosexually queer. The main homosociosexual coding in this story can be found in the absent men and the indifferent attitude toward them and in the association between foodand sex in literature that is featured in the opening paragraph of the story. If Mac wants to continue to compete against its Windows counterparts, Dell, Toshiba, HP and Asus, the company needs to be prepared to compete in the mini notebook ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 38. Present Day Advocacy I believe that history does impact the development of present day advocacy efforts in a significant way. According to Meyers, efforts to protect children from abuse and neglect dates back to the colonial times. Through individual advocates and organized parties many great events related to children s rights came about over the years. Some of these events include minimum age laws for factory work, day nurseries for low income wives and widows, orphan trains, the first white house conference, the Children s Bureau, The ChildAbuse Prevention and Treatment Act, and more recently in 2011 rights protected under the first amendment were extended to children. • 39. The Poor Performance Of Euro Disney 1) From the Case Study, we can see that many different factors came together and contributed to the poor performance of Euro Disney during its first year. The primary reason for the failure in its first year was its high cost as EuroDisney was charging 280 Dollars to enjoy the attractions of the park and the hotel was charging prices comparable to the most luxurious hotels in Paris. In addition the airfares were cheaper to Disneyworld in Florida with guaranteed good weather. The Disney executives also made a major mistake in understanding and researching the French and European culture. The French people rejected the, thru Disney imposed, American culture because they just introduced American cartoon characters and did not look after the French eating and living behaviors. Disney saw Europe as one big target group, although the cultures in Europe are extremely distinct and independent. EuroDisney also failed meet the French people through their advertisement. Rather than promoting the theme park and its attractions itself, they focused more on the size and glamour behind it. The Disneyland in Hong Kong also faced different problems. First of all the Chinese people were not familiar with the Disney characters as they were banned for over 40 years in China. Also it just offered a few rides, compared to other Disney Worlds, so customers were not highly interested in visiting it. But it performed better as it included a lot of Chinese culture. I came to the conclusion that the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 40. How Did D-Day Make Canada s Identity D Day was a defining moment for Canada because they proved their power and abilities as a middle power, captured the heaviest defended beach, and covered the most land on the first day. Canada contributed a lot to the war effort during World War Two. I believe that D Day was more significant to making Canadas identity than their involvement at Vimy Ridge. Their victory at Juno Beach is known as a turning point which ended World War Two. It was one of the first times Canada fought independently and everyone in Canada including the French Canadian, African Canadian, and women were supporting the effort, which even sparked the change for equality. Canada displayed their power and abilities to the rest of the world during the normandy landings on June 6, 1944 and proved themselves as a middle power. D Day was the day Allied forces planned an invasion to push German forces back into Germany and end World War Two. Canada contributed a lot to the Allies such as materials, ammunition, ships, etc. They had the third largest navy and fourth largest air force. The Royal Canadian Navy sent 110 ships and 10, 000 sailors, and the Royal Canadian Air Force contributed 15 fighter and fighter bomber squadrons. They also sent 14, 000 Canadians to fight on the beach. (CANADA AT D DAY, WarMuseum.ca) ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Bushcraft Vs Survival Research Paper THE INTRODUCTION In many blogs and Youtube videos that I ve seen, there are countless of discussions about bushcraft vs survival (craft), what do they mean and what are the differences between them? It s true that there are undeniable similarities about them because they tend to involve the wilderness and the outdoors, shelter, fire, water, etc. However, in fact the two things are quite different. In this post I d like to briefly talk about what each one is, how they differ from each other and why it s important to understand the differences. Keep in mind that these are my opinions and you may or may not agree, it s all good. DIFFERENT IN DEFINITIONS First of all, I want to mention the basic meaning of those two things so that we can see the differences in theory. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Mean while Bushcraft is defined as: Skill in anything pertaining in bush country. Ability and experience in matters concerns with living in the bush. I tend to break it down like this: A survival situation is any kind of events (usually short term, about 72 hours or less, though some can go much longer) that required you to take action to save your life or other s life. The main goal here is not only just survival but to return home, either through rescue and search team or your own navigational ability. Bushcraft is completely different, where it implies a long term strategy and unnecessarily an unexpected circumstance or an instant danger to life. People into bushcraft often go into wilderness intentionally with minimal amount of gears to test their abilities and horn their skills, not to survive but to exist and thrive in the nature. So basically in survival (craft), you stuck in the wilderness and try to find your way back to civilization while in bushcraft, you use your refined skills to make comfort out of the situation. Analysis of Jules Ferry s argument on French Colonial Expansion 1884 The industrial revolution was not only a time of great advancement for the west but was equally troubling for the European countries, especially that of France. Jules Ferry, a French statesmen recognized a need for expansion and took it upon himself to go in front of French parliament to argue his position of the need for French colonial expansion. The arguments he made in support of his country were of economical, humanitarian, and patriotic views. The first of these arguments was economical in nature. I don t believe that his critics liked the idea of forcing expansion. I think that Ferry s reasoning were more humanitarian in nature. He wanted to develop and educate these countries and by doing this for them it would create new markets for France. He also justifies his remarks by saying that they will never become great by being do nothing people. He said that to be great that they had to act and that the choices they made would decide how great they could become. Ferry s last argument was that of patriotism. Ferry was a patriot, a countryman if you will. He believed that his country was great but could be greater. This is why his last argument was on the defense of his country A country should be as self sufficient as possible when it comes to its national defense, and so to compete with the military and naval expansion of rival nations it would only be logical to make a move that would strengthen military forces. Ferry expressed a need for safe harbors, defenses, and supply centers for naval ships. Ferry uses an example of a war ship and talks about the fact that regardless of how perfect the war ship is designed that it cannot carry more than two week of coal. Also, in order for us to be promoted to the next grade level, we need to pass English class and use English as the primary language in all classes. We only use Filipino as a secondary language in school. Speaking a different language with a different word structures and accent makes learning and speaking English quite challenging at first. For instance, English puts the adjective before a noun whereas most other languages in the world put it after the noun. English has so many idioms and expressions that it makes quite confusing to learn. We usually don t speak English with friends and at home back there and because of this; it can get more problematic to retain what was previously learned because of lack of exposure. I was fortunate enough to go to private school because I don t think a public school in my previous country would have the same English academic standards as the classes found in private schools. I took an English class since kindergarten because of it being the universal language and I thought that it might be helpful for me to learn especially in business and when watching American television shows and Hollywood movies, where the English language is predominantly used. • 46. Taking a Look at Clinical Trials Every medical innovation starts with an idea or vision, and goes through several developmental stages, namely, basic research, translational research and clinical research before being able to market the treatment. (4) This treatment can be a drug, a medical device, a vaccine, a blood product or gene therapy. (3) The basic research is done in a laboratory, where cell function is studied, and it is determined under what conditions the treatment could cause cells to function more effectively. The treatment is then tested in animals to see the effect, and to test possible toxicity. Once the treatment has been named safe for use in animals, it can then be tested in humans. (4) Clinical research, or clinical trials, involves the testing of the treatment in human volunteers, working towards the approval of the treatment to be marketed. (3) The research that bridges the gap between studies done in the laboratory and clinical trials is then known as translational research. (4) The main purpose of a clinical trial is to determine if the treatment is safe and effective for human use, and is required by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) before a treatment can be approved. There are, however, other reasons these trials are performed. They can be used to compare the new treatment to an already existing one to determine which is more effective, and to determine different ways in which to use current treatments in order for them to be most effective, easiest to use and provide the ... Arias Al Desio Di Chi T Adora The arias Al desio di chi t adora from Mozart s revised le Nozze di Figaro sung by the character Susanna, and Come scoglio from Mozart s cosi fan tutte sung by the character Fiordiligi were both sung by Adriana Ferrarese Del Bene at their premieres. Mozart wanted all arias he wrote for singers to fit them like a well made garment (?) so wrote them to fit their vocal abilities and strengths. In this essay I will be looking at the vocal abilities of Adriana and how Mozart used them in these arias to identify similar characteristics between the two arias, proving what her strengths were by being highlighted in more than one aria. First I will discuss Adriana s background, where she came from and what her musical career was like before Mozart wrote these arias for her. Next we will look at Mozart s involvement with her and what his opinion of her was. Next I will look at each aria individually and identify characteristics that are similar in each aria to show that these certain features were written to show off specifically Adriana s strengths as a singer. Many languages have similarly spelled and pronounced words that mean the same or similar thing. Being a bilingual student I think sharing origins of words can be very helpful in learning a new language. Growing up in a Polish family, speaking polish, practing polish culture and tradition made me realize how difficult Polish language is. Many polish words are composed of letters like; Д…, Еј, Гі, Д‡.
