The paper examines the impact of dispersed generation (DG) on optimizing power exports, specifically through computer simulations of the Kaduna distribution system, which showed a reduction in line losses from 163.56 MW to 144.61 MW with DG integration. It highlights that optimal placement of DG units is essential to minimize network losses and improve efficiency and power quality. The findings suggest that properly located DG can significantly enhance the performance of power distribution systems by lowering electrical line losses.
