This document investigates the reuse of lathe steel scrap as recycled fibers in concrete pavements, highlighting its benefits for workability and mechanical properties such as increased compressive and flexural strength. The study finds that incorporating steel scraps into concrete enhances its durability, reduces cracking, and improves fatigue life, making it a cost-effective and eco-friendly alternative. Overall, it emphasizes the potential of steel scrap fiber reinforced concrete (SSFR concrete) in sustainable construction practices.
