ABSTRACT
The influence the social media, self esteem, diet and sex have on body image
dissatisfaction was investigated using a multiple regression method. The four
predictor variables were sex; social media; diet; and self esteem, the criterion
variable was body image dissatisfaction. The study consisted of 50 participants, 35
females and 15 males. All participants were given a self report questionnaire, which
contained 16 questions that measured the four predictor variables and the criterion
variable. The findings revealed that the social media, diet and self esteem had a
significant relationship with body image dissatisfaction, however sex was a non
significant predictor of body image dissatisfaction. The results imply that the social
media, low self esteem and dieting results to high levels of body image dissatisfaction.

The application of measuring and improving quality in the United States have been
heavily influenced by four individuals. This paper will examine the contributions and
theories of Walter Shewhart, W. Edwards Deming, Philip Crosby, and Joseph Juran.
Finally, these theories will be used to develop a proposal for a quality monitoring
system for the Pharmacy Department at Munson Medical Center.

W. Edwards Deming William Edwards Deming earned his bachelor degree in
electrical engineering from the University of Wyoming. He subsequently earned his
master s degree as well as his doctoral degree in mathematics and physics from the
University of Colorado and Yale, respectively. This background in science and
mathematics served as his foundation for statistics. Deming worked extensively in
Japan after World War II and was recognized by the Deming Application Prize

I have I determined specimen A as a black Shale. I have found out that the shale is a
sedimentary rock. The rock is dark/black coloured from the picture, therefore
suggests that it has high organic matter. From research I have concluded that shale is
commonly marine as it is usually found in rivers, lakes and the sea floor and this will
suggest to me that the shale is from a low energy environment. The rock is hard but it
is quite brittle. I have established that all the grain sizes are less than 0.5mm which
tells me they are fine grained when looking at the Wentworth s scale.

I have tested the rock against Mohs Hardness scale and as it can be scratched from a
fingernail it has a hardness of 2.5.
I have managed to calculate the density of the galena. I did this by weighing it to
find the mass which was 92.6g then I found out how much water the galena
displaces to find out the volume which was 11cm^3. And when I put it into the
fomula by using the mass and the volume I was able to work out the density: 92.6/11
= 8.4g/cm^3. I have researched and found that the galena was probably formed inside
a hydrothermal vein by precipitation.

In locality 3, the picture clearly shows me that it is red sandstone and also a coarse
sandstone syncline and I have concluded it to being quite open. I have also noticed
that the syncline is symmetrical as I can use the axial plane in order to see this. The
picture presents just a trough. The trough shape therefore tells us that the younger
rocks are on the inside. There is a visible unconformity shown on the image located
slightly above the syncline and this unconformity would have been younger.
I have calculated that the limb lengths are nearly the same in length as I have
calculated the average limb length of the syncline from using the image to be
5.52cm and if I use the scale I found out that that is 22.08m. The average plane dip

government policy towards it. With many of the Kilowatt Hours (KwH) being

skyrocketed due to our position on a global scale of uranium supply, second behind
Russia. Canadian industries and production campaigns use Nuclear Energy as their
main supply. About 59% of Canada s electricity comes from nuclear power, with 19
reactors mostly in Ontario providing 13.5 GWe of power capacity (World Nuclear

The Importance Of College Writing
I learned the slang phrase One and done in the NBA (National Basketball
Association) Draft this summer. For non basketball fans, it simply means that
aspiring basketball players will try to get themselves drafted in the NBA after
completing only one year in college. During the NBA draft night, the player may or
may not get drafted depending on if their skills are viewed by the managers and
coaches enough to play in the professional level. Throughout my college writing
experience, I have been a One and done kind of writer. In this case, it means turning
in the first drafts of the papers I write without major revision, something that I regret
not doing. Not only because of the not so great feedbacks and grades that I got but
also because I knew that I could have done better but for some reasons I decided not
to.
According to The Writing Process by Michael E. Adelstein, Once you understand
why you seem to be naturally adverse to revision, you may overcome your
resistance. (18) In order to overcome my refusal to revision when it comes to my
writing process, I provided the analyses of the different reasons why I turned into a
One and done writer in the next few paragraphs. Analyzing these reasons would help
me not only to include revision as part of my own writing process but to also maybe
learn how to make it enjoyable.
Coming up with the first draft of a paper is a long process itself that is why doing the
