This document summarizes a student project titled "Study of Hybrid Fusion Welding on Mild Steel". The project involves experimenting with hybrid welding techniques that combine MIG and SAW welding. Experimental welds were performed on mild steel samples and measurements were taken of weld geometry attributes like bead width and penetration. Initial results found smaller heat-affected zones and better bead formation for hybrid MIG+SAW welds compared to individual processes. Further microhardness testing and microscopic analysis of weld microstructures will be conducted to characterize the welds.
