resource programs.

Supervisory Human Resource Specialist, 1998 - Present
Provides administrative and technical supervision and guidance through three
subordinate supervisors, for the effective administration, direction, and management
of the Force Development office, Manpower and Personnel branch, and the
Sustainment Services Section. Responsibilities include planning, execution of related
programs, events, and activities essential to Force Support mission accomplishment.
Organization size: 60 personnel.
Program/Policy Mgmt: Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of military human resource programs,
ensuring all workcenters comply with legal, regulatory, and customer requirements.
Plans and develops policies, procedures, and goals for the effective administration,
management and overall operations of the workcenters. Provides guidance and
direction on a wide range of military human resource programs. Serves as the
Commander’s technical advisor for all personnel functions within all military human
resources sections.
Operations Management: Serves as the primary resource advisor for the Force Support Squadron, responsible
for controlling the procurement of durable and expendable items under the budget.
Manages annual squadron budget of $125k for supplies, services, lodging and military
subsistence.
Employee Development: Encourages self-development and assists subordinate supervisors in ways to improve
quality, timeliness, and efficiency of work performed. Develops and modifies
performance standards.
2. Supervision: Performs full scope of supervisory functions to include assignment of duties,
interview, and selection of employees. Evaluates work performance and serves as
reviewing official on evaluations performed by subordinate supervisors. Schedules
and approves/disapproves leave. Assigns personnel based upon workload for
adequate coverage of customer service functions and operations. Provides advice,
guidance, and direction to employees on both work and administrative matters.
Hears and resolves employee grievances not resolved at a lower level.
