2. Step 1
■ You will receive an email from your professor to add you
into their HubSpot Portal. It will look something like the e-
mail below.
■ Click through to log on to HubSpot for the first time.
4. Step 3
■ There is a Getting
Started with HubSpot
section, but this isn’t
relevant to you. Instead,
on the top right-hand
corner of your profile,
select HubSpot Academy
5. Step 4: Find a Certification
■ You will see you are
now in HubSpot
Academy
■ Search for the
Certification your
Instructor has asked
you to complete:
1.Inbound Marketing
2. Social Media
Marketing
6. Notes About Completing a Certification
All certifications have transcripts associated with them, so you can watch the video, read the transcript, or both. You have the option to
speed up the videos.
A final exam must be completed within a certain time frame - we’ll let you know what this is before you start. So, you can open the exam,
answer some questions, then return to complete the exam within a set amount of time as long as you do not close out of the window. After
this time expires, you must wait 12 hours before attempting the exam again. Give yourself time to improve and don’t wait until the last
minute, especially if you have a hard deadline for when your final exam results are due!
The exams show one question on the screen at a time. You do not have the option to go back to previous questions or review your work
before submitting answers, so take your time to review notes you’ve taken in class or during the certification.
Whether or not you pass or fail, you will receive a list of questions you responded to incorrectly and correctly. We encourage you to use this
as a study guide to improve your answers should you have to take the final exam again.
If you do not pass a certification, you must wait 12 hours to try again. This means that you will need to start the exam at least 24 hours
before it is due to give yourself two attempts at passing it. Don’t procrastinate.
Once you complete a final exam (successfully), you’ll be prompted to include your badge on linkedin. We highly encourage this!
Keep in mind that though ALL certifications have final exams, some have practical exercises. You must complete the practical exercises -
along with the final exam - to receive the badge.
HubSpot can tell which students have completed the final exam but have not viewed any of the videos or who have not viewed enough of
the videos to have realistically passed the exam. Your professor has the right to ask HubSpot for this information, so don’t cheat.
7. Step 6: Submit Your Certification
■ Once your certification is competed (by the required due
date) Submit your certification via Assignments in
Canvas.
– Use the Upload button to upload and submit your
certification
■ It’s great for linkedIn- Add the Badge to your profile
