An annotated bibliography is an organized list of citations to books, articles, and websites for which each citation is followed by a brief annotation that is both descriptive and evaluative. The annotations are usually 100-150 words and provide a description of the source as well as an evaluation of how useful it may be for research. An annotated bibliography can be done at the beginning of research to help identify useful sources.
