Why Did First Sino Japanese War
Why did first Sino Japanese war started and why was it so important for regional affairs in East Asia?
The first Sino Japanese war is an important moment for the history of East Asia, which has indicated
the emergence of a new regional and world power Japan. In my essay, I will firstly, show the
background of the conflict and in what conditions China and Japan were prior to the war. Secondly, I
will outline five key causes of the war and explain why those reasons were more important than the
others. Lastly, I will explicate why the outcomes of the conflict were so significant for the
development of the region. (development of the region можно убрать) Background of the conflict hm
hm hm 19th century in the history of East Asia has brought radical changes in the existing system of
social, cultural and political relations. Moreover, these changes have marked the beginning of a new
and fundamentally different stage in the development of countries in the region. Since the beginning
of the intensive interference of European colonial powers of the West, the progressive evolutionary
development of the major factors of regional relations between China and Japan has been interrupted.
Moreover, the future path of transformation of their political and economic system was fundamentally
altered because of the intervention of the capitalist model, which combined traditional oriental style of
conducting an aggressive foreign policy and the preservation of feudal remnants,

The Old Nursery Rhyme, Ring Around The Rosie
Introduction The old nursery rhyme Ring around the Rosie comes with many explanations relating to
the Black Death and its course throughout Europe and Asia. Why is it that this old nursery rhyme, said
to have been circulating since the last major epidemic of the Plague in 1665, is still being sung by
countless amounts of people each day? This nursery rhyme and its continuation to appear in our
childhoods and daily lives shows exactly how much the plague impacted today s society socially,
economically, religiously, and even philosophically. However, some may argue that the Plague was
not related in any way, shape or form to present day society or any other period in time. The Black
Death goes by many names and those names vary by time period and the timing of the particular
epidemic. Many of these names include The Bubonic Plague, the Black Death, Black Plague, the
Great Pestilence, the Great Mortality, La Pest (the Pestilence), and the blue sickness . The name
bubonic comes from the Medieval Latin word bubo meaning a pustule, growth, or swelling. The
names of the epidemics were not only inspired by the disease s symptoms, but they were named after
characteristics of the disease and the public s general attitude towards the disease. For example, the
name the Great Mortality originates from the amount of people who were inflicted with the disease
and have fallen because of it.
Origins of the Bubonic Plague The Black Death was considered to have many origins in the

The Discovery And Observation Of The Cosmic Microwave...
The Discovery and Observation of the Cosmic Microwave Background: Implications for Cosmology
On a spring day in late May in 1964, the future of our understanding of the universe was greatly
influenced, arguable on accident. Two radio astronomers discovered something unusual, not with their
eyes, but with their ears. Arno Penzias and Robert Wilson essentially heard the buzz that the universe
was echoing into their headphones, but they could not wrap their head around what it was. The two
scientists were bewildered by the odd humming sound that was picked up by their labs horn antenna
and they had no idea the significance of what they were listening to. They thought it must have been
some sort of interference from a secondary source in or around their lab and antenna. They did
everything in their power to eliminate anything that could possibly interfere with the radio signals that
they were receiving; they went as far as getting rid of pigeons that had their nest on top of the
astronomer s antenna. It was not until they successfully got rid of anything that could potentially
explain this noise that they came to the exciting conclusion that what they stumbled upon must be big.
With this knowledge in mind, the idea that something big was at their fingertips, they had a few
questions on their mind that needed answering. First and foremost, they obviously wanted and needed
to figure out what exactly the noise they were hearing was. Secondly, they wanted to know what

Rhetorical Analysis Of Lincoln s Second Inaugural Address
Lincoln s Second Inaugural Address
Could the North and South ever come together again and unite as one nation after the Civil War? The
purpose of Lincoln s Second Inaugural Address was to offer his promising predictions for
reconciliation with the South and his vision of the future. Lincoln utilizes strong and elevated diction
to clearly articulate his vision for the future, with choices like dreaded and sought . Furthermore,
Lincoln s optimistic tone offers a beacon of hope, with examples like, achieve and cherish a just and
lasting peace among ourselves and with all nations, and to bind up the nation s wounds . The purpose
of the address is achieved through parallelism and appeal to religion, too. Lincoln s diction, one of his
most powerful literary devices, is employed prominently throughout the entire passage.
Lincoln s elevated diction is used so he can communicate his thoughts openly and plainly. For
instance, he says all dreaded and sought to avoid the Civil War. This establishes the war as a terrible
evil but not the Confederacy. His word choice helps humanize the Confederacy, the Union s enemy.
The black population is addressed as colored slaves in order to appeal to the South and their deep
pride in slavery. Simultaneously, to appeal to the North who despised slavery, he says the black
population was part of the whole population . The purpose of Lincoln s diction here is to attempt to
bring the Union and the Confederacy together as it appeases to both side s beliefs. Also, Lincoln
chooses to say insurgents , which has a more neutral connotation behind it, instead of calling the
Confederacy the enemy or another derogatory term in order not to alienate the South. When the Civil
War ends, the two sides would have to reconcile, and they can t do that if Lincoln depicts the South as
the enemy.
Lincoln s optimistic tone attempts to persuade the audience into forgiving the South and making
peace. For instance, Lincoln says, to bind up the nation s wounds, , a bright and encouraging quote for
the country s future. By referring to the Union and Confederacy as a one entity, it depicts them as a
single united country. What Lincoln also suggests is that the Civil War is not fatal and that the

Kurtz s Affect on Other Characters in Heart of Darkness ...
We are always taught to appreciate the little things in life; the things that don t seem to have much of
significance at first but end up meaning the world to us. These small things have a value so great but
so hidden that they are usually taken a granted for. In The Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad, there
are a few characters that aren t present in the book for a large amount of time but have a great affect
on the story. Kurtz is one of these characters. Kurtz is introduced towards the end of the story but he
has an affect on the action, the theme and the other characters development even when he isn t present.
Kurtz is a power hungry man who achieved his power by getting into the ivory business and using
shady techniques. He also ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Darkness is a major theme in The Heart of Darkness. Kurtz is unaware of his own darkness which
leads to his downfall. He cannot see what kind of person he has become and how the darkness of the
jungle has completely taken over him. The jungle is so secluded and mysterious that it actually
influences Kurtz s bad behavior. Kurtz becomes greedy and powerful but never realizes that this
behavior is bringing him down until he is on the verge of death. Kurtz last words, The horror! The
horror! (63) show Kurtz s realization that the darkness had consumed him. Kurtz himself is one of the
biggest examples of darkness in this book. The final thing Kurtz had an affect on was the other
characters development; specifically Marlow s. Marlow spent his journey on the Congo listening to so
many stories about Kurtz that he becomes obsessed with meeting him. At one point in the story,
Marlow finds out there is a possibility that Kurtz is dead and he admits that, For the moment that was
the dominant thought. There was a sense of extreme disappointment, as though I had found out I had
been striving after something altogether without a substance (41). When Marlow finally meets Kurtz
he is a little disappointed. He finds out that Kurtz actually isn t as amazing as he expected. Marlow is
thrown a back but doesn t give up complete hope. When Kurtz dies, and says his final words, Marlow
realizes that

Evaluating The Implications Of A Transformation Innovation
Evaluating and Assessing the Implications of a Transformation Innovation
In today s dynamic business world, it is not enough for businesses to respond to the current customers
and internal organizational issues. In order for businesses to survive, they must be able to anticipate
and evaluate existing and emerging trends and develop ideas, products and services that respond to
those trends. However, failing to identify and respond to trends can put the business at the risk of
losing the existing customer base because innovation often determines who will be the market leader
and who will be living on the margin of the market.
Further, Innovation can be divided in to three main types, that are incremental, substantial and
transformational. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also, new value proposition, assets and competencies are introduced as a result of a transformational
innovation. Examples of transformational innovation may include the invention of compact disc (CD),
automobiles and the business model of Dell computers. In order to fully understand the differences
among the three types of innovation, one must be aware that in general the impact of substantial
innovation is 10 times the impact of incremental innovation and the impact of transformational
innovation is 10 times the impact of substantial innovation.
The case in hand is mainly concerned with transformational innovation and shades light on three
industries and what changes may accrue if a radical innovation was introduced within those industries.
The industries under study are banking industry with Zopa as an innovative plyer, the car battery
industry with EEStor as an innovative plyer and media buying and planning industry with
NextMedium as an innovative plyer. In my analysis, I will discuss the impact that each of those

What Are The Four Bases Commonly Found In Dna
1) a. What are the four bases commonly found in DNA? The nucleotides encompass a sugar molecule
(2 deoxyribose), one among four element ring structures called bases (called A (A), purine (G),
pyrimidine (C) and T (T)) and a phosphate cluster.
b. Which form base pairs? A and G contain 2 rings and are referred to as purines whereas C and T
contain one ring and are referred to as pyrimidines. 2 of those strands combine along to make the
acquainted double helix structure of DNA. the 2 strands link to every alternative via interaction
between the bottom pairs in a very extremely specific method. A solely pairs with T and C solely pairs
with G. This specificity, called complementary base pairing, arises via hydrogen bonds. every C G
pairing involves 3 hydrogen bonds between the bases, whereas every A T bond involves solely 2
hydrogen bonds leading to a weaker interaction. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Positive And Negative Aspects Of Living In An...
We are told we live in a network society. But is this just good news? What are the positive and
negative aspects of living in a highly interconnected world? Discuss with reference to techno optimists
and techno pessimists.
We live in a highly interconnected world due to the increase in technology in our everyday lives,
Marshall McLuhan calls this world interconnected by an electronic nervous system a global village
(McLuhan n.d.). Theorists for example Manuel Castells call this new social structure the network
society he defines the network society as a social structure made of networks in all the key dimensions
of social organisation and social practice (Castells and Castells 2010). The internet of things is a
networked world of connected devices, objects, and people (Greengard 2015). This technology has the
potential to help people in many ways but could it also be used to spy on users in particular the
controversy around Samsung smart TV s.
The Samsung smart TV includes; voice recognition, auto detection of devices plugged in, smart view
which connects with your phone (Samsung TV: SUHD, Smart TV n.d.) and some versions also
included motion control. A techno optimist would say all this technology increases the user experience
and ease of usage. Users can navigate the system with a small gesture or word without having to get
up for the remote. This is the lean back experience and it is enhanced by making it easier and more
natural interacting with the technology, to heighten the overall viewing experience.( Visualizing the
Future of User Experience | Smart TV n.d.). The Samsung smart hub also allows users access to
multiple apps and streaming sites all in one place(Samsung Smart Hub n.d.). Convergence of media
platforms blending of the media, telecommunications and computer industries (Grant and Wilkinson
2009) and uniting them in one place benefits the user as they only need one device to access
everything on.
Opposing this view many may argue that technology is making us lazy and taking away control from
the user. Marshall McLuhan famously quoted the medium is the message meaning that the medium
has a greater impact on society than the message delivered by it. Consequently, the smart TV s

A Prostitute A Servant And A Latina In Humanities Chapter...
Living as a latina in the United States of America is tough. Racial stereotypes follow minorities
everywhere they go, even in the classroom. The average American has a typical image of what a
professor should look like. What should they look like? These perceived images should not exist
because professors could come from all around the world. In A Prostitute, A servant, and a Customer
Service Representative: A Latina In Academia , professor in the department of Critical Culture,
Gender, and Race studies, Carmen R. Lugo Lugo, uses emotional appeals and language to inform and
create awareness of social and racial stereotypes, as well as how profiting is a priority amongst
universities. Throughout the essay, Lugo Lugo wants one to become informed on prevalent issues in
the average college classroom by allowing the reader to appeal to her through emotions. She uses
personal stories and thoughts on college profiting accordingly to portray the issue amongst her
classroom. As she mentions in her essay, That is why my position within both U.S. society and
academia is an important component of this discussion, a position that is described something like
this: I am a women. A woman who is of color. A woman of color who is a Puerto Rican (which means
I am viewed as a latina). And those markers mean something at the beginning of the twenty first

The Era Of The Safavid Empire Under The Rule Of Shah Ismail
As a political tactic, rulers often portray themselves in a certain way in order to stabilize their reign
and rule more effectively. Some take the approach of uniqueness by setting themselves apart from
their subject population while others take the approach of sameness by emphasizing the similarities in
which they share with the people. Not exclusively limited to apartness or sameness, some rulers have
shown to employ a mix of both ruling styles. It is these versatile rulers who have experienced more
successes in their reign because they are not compelled to only one ruling style, allowing them to
better adapt to the needs of their ruling population. The apartness ruling style is best seen in the
Safavid Empire under the rule of Shah Ismail. Shah Ismail uses religion as a political tool to control
his state and does so by declaring Shi ism, a smaller branch of Islam, as the state religion (#). After
separating himself his people from those who are not willing to abide to his ideologies, Shah Ismail
can now demand the absolute loyalties from his subjects and persecute those who are deviant. This
radical act further creates a deep chasm between Shi ite Muslims and nearby Sunni Muslims
neighbors. As a result, cultural flow and the exchange of beliefs between Sunni Shi ite states are
essentially hindered. Ismail s apartness ruling approach is taken to the extreme with social, religious,
and legal systems being strictly confined to Shi ite doctrines (@). It is noted that

The Common Raccoon ( P. Lotor
The common raccoon (P. lotor) has been said to be one of the most widespread urban mammalian
carnivores. Characterised by its fox like face, bushy striped tail, and unmistakable mask of dark
patches around their eyes, the growing population of urban raccoons has become somewhat of an
epidemic. These small creatures are known for their relatively high intellect, enabling them to access
human resources. Raccoons are omnivores, and have been consistently observed to eat virtually
anything. Additionally, even though raccoons are technically both primary consumers and secondary
consumers, they are best described as being scavengers. Raccoons have very little social structure
relatively; they are known as solitary animals, most likely stemming from their nocturnal behaviors.
Quite often, they will be found traveling as either a family (until the young reach adolescence, at
which time they leave), or an individual. They are notorious carriers of disease, can outcompete native
species, and can be quite aggressive when confronted by humans. For these reasons and more, the
urban raccoon is considered a pest, and in many areas there have been countless efforts to control their
populations (Gehrt, S. D., et. al., 2010, Pg. 35 47). This paper will propose actions that would need to
be taken in order to deter raccoons from pursuing human waste as a food source in the effort of
controlling their population.
Due to the raccoon s opportunistic nature, overtime the species have found

Difference Between Soft And Soft Hrm
Soft HRM is defined as a high commitment work system, which is aimed at eliciting a commitment so
that behaviour is primarily self regulated rather than controlled by sanctions and pressures external to
the individual and relations within the organization are based on high levels of trust .35 Another
essential part of Soft HRM is the importance of communication and the goal of flexibility and
adaptability. Theoretically the employee doesn t only comply with the companies goals, but positively
commits himself to its values and aims, and by that see a meaning in their work .The commitment
employee s show can only be achieved through trust, training, development and the freedom of
autonomous and self controlled work.
Hard HRM is often considered as the opposite of Soft HRM, as it is defined as quantitative,
calculative and business strategic [mean] of managing the headcount resource 36 and sees the
employee more like a resource, similar to other components of the production. The HR policies and
practices are coherent with the strategic goals set by the company and aim to increase the general
competiveness of the company. Following, the management expects the employees to be unwilling to
work and has to take control over his actions to secure the companies stability and competiveness. The
employee is instrumentalized.

Flowers And The Symbol Of Flowers
A symbol of purity, innocence or life, when connected to the motivation of a character, flowers have
the ability to demonstrate a character s emotions and behaviors in a way that describing a character s
physical and emotional appearance cannot. Vibrant flowers symbolize aspiration and determination
while a wilted or destroyed flower represents a somber and heartbroken attitude toward life. The motif
of the flowers in Paul s Case and The Chrysanthemums represent the progression of the characters
hope and dreams.
In the opening scene of Paul s Case, the author notes the vibrant, red carnation that Paul wears to his
disciplinary meeting and consequently the teacher s distaste of what they believe the flower
symbolizes referring to it as a, scandalous red carnation and how, his whole attitude was symbolized
by...his flippantly red carnation flower (Cather 114). A defiant student, shown by his disrespect toward
his teachers, Paul seems unfazed to the fact that he is in a disciplinary meeting choosing to act
indifferent to what his teachers say about him. He is arrogant consequently holding himself to a higher
status than his teachers thus causing him to feel entitled. The red carnation symbolizes his idealistic

The Issue Of Women s Suffrage
Blindness separates people from things; deafness separates people from people. (Helen Keller). The
biggest problem when it comes to women s rights is that people refuse to hear that there is a problem.
This situation is very familiar in today s world. People refuse to understand that even though women
do have more rights than they did in the past, there are still issues that need to be addressed. Women s
suffrage is one of the most respected and memorable historical events. This movement has been
forgotten because it has been so long ago, men and women both are losing respect for women s rights.

Humanitarian reforms such as the elimination of cruel punishment, the dissemination of empathy

Introduction
About the United Nations
The United Nations is an international organization, which was founded in 1945 after the Second
World War, committed to providing the means to help resolve international conflicts and formulate
policies on matters affecting human beings all over the world (Wikipedia). The organization is
committed to maintaining international peace and security, developing friendly relations among
nations and promoting social progress, better living standards and human rights (Wikipedia). Ensuring
environmental sustainability , climate change being one of the major factors, is one of the millennium
development goals of the UN. The United Nations Environment Programme, UNEP, along with many
organizations/agencies under the UN, collaboratively work towards achieving this goal.
About the Chosen Aspect of Study
How does the United Nations support the millennium development goal of promoting environmental
sustainability by limiting climate change in South and North America? This investigation shall focus
on the previously mentioned question as this a very interesting topic to further research on, also as I
believe that the UN has played an enormous role in promoting environmental sustainability in South
and North America, and therefore would make a good topic to further research on. This topic is
worthy of studying as by knowing of what many before us have done to protect and sustain the
environment, we can look into aiding the environment to a

Examples Of Cash Flow Statement
The first thing to know about the cash flow statement is its division into three separate sections. A cash
flow statement looks at three components of core operations, investing, and financing in order to come

One of the major distinctions in a cash flow statement, compared to income statement and balance

you won t know in a loss and profit statement, but which feature at the cash flow statement include:
Owner s draws out of the business
Payment of credit card principal
Payment of loan principal
A cash flow looks at only the movements in the three sectors during the determined period, not what is
going to happen ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
You can see all the different sections and how the figures are calculated. As you can see, the bottom of
the statement shows the total cash flow of the company for the accounting period.
The above example statement shows you the company total cash flow, as well as where majority of
the liquidity came from.
Naturally, not all cash flow statements show a positive cash flow. But it is important to remember that
a negative cash flow doesn t necessarily mean the business is failing. Sometimes a negative cash flow
is part of a company s decision to heavily invest in new inventory, for example, which might increase
the cash flow the following year. Therefore, as mentioned, you need to use a cash flow statement as
part of your financial analysis, but not rely solely on it.
Overall, you also want to compare your cash flows from different periods. While a single negative
cash flow statement might not signal trouble, if your cash flow is constantly on the negative, your
business is clearly having liquidity problems. It usually means the business is having difficulties
paying debt and relies too much on

This story raises multiple queries about the idea and constitution of justice and its connection the
character of Glaucon uses this fable to argue that justice is a kind of socially constructed contract
which keeps people from harming one another. Glaucon s thought experiment is supposed to
demonstrate the fact that people really only value justice because doing so benefits their perception in
the public s image. In other words, it would be more beneficial for someone in Gyges s position to act
as they like because people only value justice or morality when their actions can be scrutinised, Light

The Miller s Tale Essay
The Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer consists of several characters from various social classes.
Together, these characters go on a pilgrimage to Canterbury and along the journey they all tell
different tales. In order to write this book, Chaucer decided to go on his own pilgrimage and to also
observe people in his everyday life in order to make the characters and the book itself realistic. Many
authors like Chaucer will take real life experiences and incorporate them into their novels. In The
Canterbury Tales, Chaucer uses the characters in order to reveal his inner most opinions of his past.
Chaucer s solicitous portrayal of contrary women in The Miller s Tale can be traced back to his
tolerance of the affair between his wife and his best friend. For example, Alison from The Miller s
Tale is having an affair with Nicholas and warns him that My husband is so full of jealousy, unless
you watch your step and hold your breath I know for certain it will be my death (Chaucer 91). This
evidence suggests that Alison was aware of her wrong doing and knew she ... Show more content on

This having been his second and possibly third time visiting Italy, the Italian influence became more
apparent in his work after this visit. The Knight s Tale represents Chaucer s second attempt to adapt
the material of the Teseida written by Italian poet, Giovanni Boccaccio (Rossignal). The tale is about
two prisoner knights who are fighting for the love of one woman. This tale contains the exact
characters and plot of Boccaccio s Teseida. In other words, Chaucer s visit to Italy and his
enlightenment on Italian poets drew him to incorporate an Italian poet s work into his very own, The
Canterbury Tales, but more specifically The Knight s Tale . Not only did Chaucer use Teseida but the
Decameron provided direct parallels for The Reeve s Tale, The Clerk s Tale, The Merchant s Tale, The
Franklin s Tale, and The Shipman s

Jonas Role In Nazi Germany
In Nazi Germany, during Adolf Hitler s reign, from 1933 1945, Jonas Müller was a prominent member
of the Nazi party. His peers considered him a leader because he was Hitler s right hand man when it
came to tactical plans and military strategies. Jonas, so dedicated to the cause, would kill himself in
the end after learning of his commander s own suicide. The story of his life is one of dedication and
passion for a political party that was taking over Europe by brute force.
Jonas Müller, best known for being an advisor to Adolf Hitler during his reign of the Nazi Party in the
1930s and 1940s, born on April 11, 1896 in Berlin, Germany, was a key player during the Nazi

However, since Jonas became a household name for his participation in the war, he was quickly able

not face the terrible circumstances that most of the nation was going through. It was unpleasant for
Jonas and Hannah to witness the severe poverty and terrible conditions that people were living in, it

Essay Hoosiers a Film Review
HOOSIERS
A film review
Hoosiers is a film about second chances. Redemption is given to a short tempered coach, who was
issued a lifetime suspension by the NCAA for physically assaulting a player, and a former star player
turned town drunk. These two defeat their odds by taking a small town high school basketball team
from being just 15 and 10, all the way to the state championship. In my review, I ll attempt to explain
how this coach matches up against Kouzes and Posner s Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership. Our
setting is rural Indiana in a town called Hickory. It s a place that s resistant to change. Hickory is a
place where, according to Myra Fleener, a character in the film, basketball heroes are treated like gods

They must clarify values. Norman Dale valued teamwork. He believed that no player was more
important than the other and he expressed this during practice and showed it by changing the way the
Hickory Huskers practiced. Unlike the town who wanted to get their star player back and keep the
basketball in his hands and not confuse the boys by changing their routine, the new coach wanted to
break these barriers. He modeled the way by sticking to his values and ignoring the pestering from the
fathers and other townsfolk who invited themselves to practice and by kick out players who did not
want to listen during practice. Leaders gaze across the horizon of time, imagining the attractive
opportunities that are in store when they and their constituents arrive at a destination. They envision
exciting and ennobling possibilities. The Leadership Challenge, pg. 17. Inspiring a Shared Vision
comes second on Kouzes and Posner s list. Coach Dale had obtained previous success and knew he
could make the Hucksters better. His vision was to go back to the fundamentals of basketball and
playing better defense was part of it. Norman wasn t about scrimmage or a whole lot of shooting
during practice. His vision involved passing the ball no less than four times before taking a shot. This
enabled his strong value of teamwork to take place. He tried to inspire others to

Iranian Nuclear War Pros And Cons
November 4, 1979: a date to live forever. In Tehran, the capital of Iran, a demonstration turned hostile
when a group of students storm over the walls of the U.S. Embassy and take 90 people, hostage,
including 66 Americans. This was the beginning of the Iranian revolution, creating an Islamic
Republic under the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.
Now, the Obama Administration plans to give these same people (under that same family) nuclear
power to possibly make weapons. The Iran US nuclear deal should be stopped, for it will only cause
the destruction of the state of Israel, and possibly America with a deal within the hands of an anti
American dictatorship and anti American people.
Firstly, Iran does not have a very good history ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, the sanctions placed on Iran were placed there for a reason and that reason was because of
Iran s continued illicit nuclear activities (U.S. State Department) These economic sanctions were
placed to hinder the attempt of Iran to build a nuclear bomb and now we are throwing away those
sanctions that were in place to protect us.
Again, others say that Iran has agreed to stop enriching as much uranium to possibly create nuclear
weapons of mass destruction. In contrast, Iran will have a thirty day notice before any inspection of
their equipment or facilities. Thirty days is ample time to hide any illegal enriching and stockpiles of
uranium for nuclear weapons.
CNN has quoted Ali Khamenei saying: I d say [to Israel] that they will not see (the end) of these 25
years, Israel is a key ally in the Middle East, and one that we say we will support. If we hand over
weapons of our allies destruction, we are not their allies. We will be indirectly helping Iran destroy
Israel.
In conclusion, Iran with its dictator and people will build a nuclear weapon, and they will use the
weapon against Israel and the U.S. resulting in a world war. So many people will die in nuclear strikes
from many countries. That is the number one thing that no one wants. Loss of human life. This deal

Dikeskemp s Influence On The Nature Of God
In the beginning God is recorded as taking six days to create everything. He creates many unique and
beautiful things in those first five days; however, only one of those created beings, humanity, received
God s direct breath. In fact, before humanity was even created, God is recorded as saying in Genesis,
Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness...(Holy Bible). God intentionally placed his own
likeness into all of humanity. Consequently, as Bufford (2007) states, it seems every human life has
significance and worth intrinsically woven into it. As a therapist, this has immense ramifications. Not
only does this understanding influence how I interact with every client, but it also gives me motivation

The Privatization Of Temporary Assistance For Needy...
Introduction The privatization of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) services has
occurred in all except one of 50 states (McConnell, Burwick, Perez Johnson, Winston, 2003). There
are substantial differences as to the size and extent of services that are privatized. This paper will first,
analyze study provided by the Mathematica Policy Research, Inc. (MPR) to discuss the benefits and
conversely the problems of contracting out. Secondly, this paper will discuss important factors and
pitfalls towards contracting effectiveness. Finally, this paper will recommend contracting out while
recommending assurances for accountability. Background Over the past two decades, the contracting
out of welfare facilities has grown and extended into new services. In 1996, the Personal
Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act (PRWORA) was enacted into federal law
(McConnell, Burwick, Perez Johnson, Winston, 2003). The PRWORA began the stimulus towards the
desire of having the privatization of welfare programs. The act transferred the attention of the welfare
system away from programs like cash assistance, and instead focused on programs where recipients
are situated with jobs (McConnell, Burwick, Perez Johnson, Winston, 2003). The program also began
transferring autonomy to states so they may design in state policies that follow TANF. States as well

Discrepancies In Raiders Of The Lost Ark
Historical Discrepancies in Raiders of the Lost Ark
Raiders of the Lost Ark was a fictional film that involved Indiana Jones search for the Ark of the
Covenant and his struggle against the German Nazis. Along with the Nazis, he fought against one of
his personal enemies, Dr. Belloq. The film took place in 1936, three years before the beginning of
World War II. This movie used the Nazi search for religious artifacts and created a mission, and an
enemy, for Indiana Jones. Raiders of the Lost Ark contained many historical references, but it
contained many fictional aspects as well.
The main character in Raiders of the Lost Ark was Indiana Jones. Marion Ravenwood accompanied
him on his search for the Ark of the Covenant. She was the daughter of Jones former archaeology
professor. She was angry with Indiana Jones in the beginning of the movie due to an event which
occurred before the movie began. One of the main antagonists, Dr. René Belloq, was a French
archaeologist hired by the Nazis. The other was a German Nazi named Major Arnold Toht. Arnold

The Nazis acted cruel and unemotional in the film. While this behavior coincides with history, it still
counts as bias against the Nazis. Raiders of the Lost Ark also portrayed the French as evil conspirators
with Germany using Dr. Belloq as representation for France. The French were not wicked, they merely
set different goals and saw the world in a different way than America and Britain. On the more
positive side, Raiders of the Lost Ark portrayed the Ark of the Covenant as all powerful and it burned
away the swastika on the Nazi crate. The Ark also killed everyone who watched it open because
human eyes were not meant to see its contents. It s assumed that Indiana Jones was a Christian
because he knew to look away when Belloq opened the Ark of the

The Vietnam War On Vietnam
The War on Vietnam Many believe that the way Americans entered the war against the North Vietnam
communists was unjust. The United States got into a war that they had no clue on how to win. The
Vietnam War was a long, costly armed conflict that pitted the communist regime of North Vietnam
and its southern allies, known as the Viet Cong, against South Vietnam and its principal ally, the
United States. The divisive war, increasingly unpopular at home, ended with the withdrawal of U.S.
forces in 1973 and the unification of Vietnam under Communist control two years later. More than 3
million people, including 58,000 Americans, were killed in the conflict. The South Vietnam
government was not communist like its counterpart to the north, and all they wanted was peace
amongst the North. The leader of the north was Ho Chi Minh, a communist leader that wanted
absolute power. Ho Chi Minh actually worked in the United States as a baker. It s odd for someone
from Vietnam to go work in a country like the United States of America, but with his rich family he
was able to travel to the United States to work. He also lived and traveled to the United Kingdom, he
worked as a chef again and a dish cleaner. When he traveled to France, he wanted equality amongst
the Vietnamese and French Indo China. He and group of his political friends attempted to have a
social reform amongst French Indo China but was denied by the French government. After years of

Essay about Civil Disobedience
The political concepts of justice and how a society should be governed have dominated literature
through out human history. The concept of peacefully resisting laws set by a governing force can be
first be depicted in the world of the Ancient Greeks in the works of Sophocles and actions of Socrates.
This popular idea has developed over the centuries and is commonly known today as civil
disobedience. Due to the works of Henry David Thoreau and Martin Luther King Jr. civil
disobedience is a well known political action to Americans; first in the application against slavery and
second in the application against segregation. Thoreau s essay Civil Disobedience and King s Letter
from Birmingham Jail are the leading arguments in defining ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Thoreau makes that evident in the following quote from his essay: There are thousands who are in
opinion opposed to slavery... who yet in effect do nothing to put an end to [it]; who, esteeming
themselves children of Washington and Franklin, sit down with their hands in their pockets, and say
that they know not what to do, and do nothing; and even postpone the question of freedom to the
question of free trade... (Thoreau, 270). Thoreau demands civil disobedience from his fellow
countryman to correct the errors of the government in regards to slavery and the war of his time.
Thoreau defines this concept as a deed of willful resistance, obtained by disobeying the hypocritical
laws. One deed he offers his countrymen to consider as their deed of civil disobedience, is a refusal to
pay taxes. Another deed, one Thoreau highly recommends, is to avert oneself from conspiring with the
government in refusing to actively participate in it. Most importantly civil disobedience is civil.
Meaning that the resistance to the government is peaceful and non violent in it s methods. King s work
in civil disobedience seems to be in agreement with Thoreau in regarding civil disobedience as a duty
of his fellow countrymen. King demands justice for the African Americans in the civil rights
movement of the 1960s in his letter. King s famous line to call the people out to demand justice from
the government, Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere, (Schulke,

many things like the haunted house can move it s rooms and hallways and furniture and the kids in the

The first Sino Japanese war is an important moment for the history of East Asia, which has indicated the emergence of a new regional and world power Japan. In my essay, I will firstly, show the background of the conflict and in what conditions China and Japan were prior to the war. Secondly, I will outline five key causes of the war and explain why those reasons were more important than the others. Lastly, I will explicate why the outcomes of the conflict were so significant for the development of the region. (development of the region можно убрать) Background of the conflict hm hm hm 19th century in the history of East Asia has brought radical changes in the existing system of social, cultural and political relations. Moreover, these changes have marked the beginning of a new and fundamentally different stage in the development of countries in the region. Since the beginning of the intensive interference of European colonial powers of the West, the progressive evolutionary development of the major factors of regional relations between China and Japan has been interrupted. Moreover, the future path of transformation of their political and economic system was fundamentally altered because of the intervention of the capitalist model, which combined traditional oriental style of conducting an aggressive foreign policy and the preservation of feudal remnants, ... • 3. The Old Nursery Rhyme, Ring Around The Rosie Introduction The old nursery rhyme Ring around the Rosie comes with many explanations relating to the Black Death and its course throughout Europe and Asia. Why is it that this old nursery rhyme, said to have been circulating since the last major epidemic of the Plague in 1665, is still being sung by countless amounts of people each day? This nursery rhyme and its continuation to appear in our childhoods and daily lives shows exactly how much the plague impacted today s society socially, economically, religiously, and even philosophically. However, some may argue that the Plague was not related in any way, shape or form to present day society or any other period in time. The Black Death goes by many names and those names vary by time period and the timing of the particular epidemic. Many of these names include The Bubonic Plague, the Black Death, Black Plague, the Great Pestilence, the Great Mortality, La Pest (the Pestilence), and the blue sickness . The name bubonic comes from the Medieval Latin word bubo meaning a pustule, growth, or swelling. The names of the epidemics were not only inspired by the disease s symptoms, but they were named after characteristics of the disease and the public s general attitude towards the disease. For example, the name the Great Mortality originates from the amount of people who were inflicted with the disease and have fallen because of it. • 4. The Discovery And Observation Of The Cosmic Microwave... The Discovery and Observation of the Cosmic Microwave Background: Implications for Cosmology On a spring day in late May in 1964, the future of our understanding of the universe was greatly influenced, arguable on accident. Two radio astronomers discovered something unusual, not with their eyes, but with their ears. Arno Penzias and Robert Wilson essentially heard the buzz that the universe was echoing into their headphones, but they could not wrap their head around what it was. The two scientists were bewildered by the odd humming sound that was picked up by their labs horn antenna and they had no idea the significance of what they were listening to. They thought it must have been some sort of interference from a secondary source in or around their lab and antenna. They did everything in their power to eliminate anything that could possibly interfere with the radio signals that they were receiving; they went as far as getting rid of pigeons that had their nest on top of the astronomer s antenna. It was not until they successfully got rid of anything that could potentially explain this noise that they came to the exciting conclusion that what they stumbled upon must be big. With this knowledge in mind, the idea that something big was at their fingertips, they had a few questions on their mind that needed answering. First and foremost, they obviously wanted and needed to figure out what exactly the noise they were hearing was. Secondly, they wanted to know what exactly ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Rhetorical Analysis Of Lincoln s Second Inaugural Address Lincoln s Second Inaugural Address Could the North and South ever come together again and unite as one nation after the Civil War? The purpose of Lincoln s Second Inaugural Address was to offer his promising predictions for reconciliation with the South and his vision of the future. Lincoln utilizes strong and elevated diction to clearly articulate his vision for the future, with choices like dreaded and sought . Furthermore, Lincoln s optimistic tone offers a beacon of hope, with examples like, achieve and cherish a just and lasting peace among ourselves and with all nations, and to bind up the nation s wounds . The purpose of the address is achieved through parallelism and appeal to religion, too. Lincoln s diction, one of his most powerful literary devices, is employed prominently throughout the entire passage. Lincoln s elevated diction is used so he can communicate his thoughts openly and plainly. For instance, he says all dreaded and sought to avoid the Civil War. This establishes the war as a terrible evil but not the Confederacy. His word choice helps humanize the Confederacy, the Union s enemy. The black population is addressed as colored slaves in order to appeal to the South and their deep pride in slavery. Simultaneously, to appeal to the North who despised slavery, he says the black population was part of the whole population . The purpose of Lincoln s diction here is to attempt to bring the Union and the Confederacy together as it appeases to both side s beliefs. Also, Lincoln chooses to say insurgents , which has a more neutral connotation behind it, instead of calling the Confederacy the enemy or another derogatory term in order not to alienate the South. When the Civil War ends, the two sides would have to reconcile, and they can t do that if Lincoln depicts the South as the enemy. Lincoln s optimistic tone attempts to persuade the audience into forgiving the South and making peace. For instance, Lincoln says, to bind up the nation s wounds, , a bright and encouraging quote for the country s future. By referring to the Union and Confederacy as a one entity, it depicts them as a single united country. What Lincoln also suggests is that the Civil War is not fatal and that the ... • 6. Kurtz s Affect on Other Characters in Heart of Darkness ... We are always taught to appreciate the little things in life; the things that don t seem to have much of significance at first but end up meaning the world to us. These small things have a value so great but so hidden that they are usually taken a granted for. In The Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad, there are a few characters that aren t present in the book for a large amount of time but have a great affect on the story. Kurtz is one of these characters. Kurtz is introduced towards the end of the story but he has an affect on the action, the theme and the other characters development even when he isn t present. Kurtz is a power hungry man who achieved his power by getting into the ivory business and using shady techniques. He also ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Darkness is a major theme in The Heart of Darkness. Kurtz is unaware of his own darkness which leads to his downfall. He cannot see what kind of person he has become and how the darkness of the jungle has completely taken over him. The jungle is so secluded and mysterious that it actually influences Kurtz s bad behavior. Kurtz becomes greedy and powerful but never realizes that this behavior is bringing him down until he is on the verge of death. Kurtz last words, The horror! The horror! (63) show Kurtz s realization that the darkness had consumed him. Kurtz himself is one of the biggest examples of darkness in this book. The final thing Kurtz had an affect on was the other characters development; specifically Marlow s. Marlow spent his journey on the Congo listening to so many stories about Kurtz that he becomes obsessed with meeting him. At one point in the story, Marlow finds out there is a possibility that Kurtz is dead and he admits that, For the moment that was the dominant thought. Evaluating The Implications Of A Transformation Innovation Evaluating and Assessing the Implications of a Transformation Innovation In today s dynamic business world, it is not enough for businesses to respond to the current customers and internal organizational issues. In order for businesses to survive, they must be able to anticipate and evaluate existing and emerging trends and develop ideas, products and services that respond to those trends. However, failing to identify and respond to trends can put the business at the risk of losing the existing customer base because innovation often determines who will be the market leader and who will be living on the margin of the market. The nucleotides encompass a sugar molecule (2 deoxyribose), one among four element ring structures called bases (called A (A), purine (G), pyrimidine (C) and T (T)) and a phosphate cluster. b. Which form base pairs? A and G contain 2 rings and are referred to as purines whereas C and T contain one ring and are referred to as pyrimidines. 2 of those strands combine along to make the acquainted double helix structure of DNA. the 2 strands link to every alternative via interaction between the bottom pairs in a very extremely specific method. What are the positive and negative aspects of living in a highly interconnected world? Discuss with reference to techno optimists and techno pessimists. We live in a highly interconnected world due to the increase in technology in our everyday lives, Marshall McLuhan calls this world interconnected by an electronic nervous system a global village (McLuhan n.d.). Theorists for example Manuel Castells call this new social structure the network society he defines the network society as a social structure made of networks in all the key dimensions of social organisation and social practice (Castells and Castells 2010). The internet of things is a networked world of connected devices, objects, and people (Greengard 2015). This technology has the potential to help people in many ways but could it also be used to spy on users in particular the controversy around Samsung smart TV s. The Samsung smart TV includes; voice recognition, auto detection of devices plugged in, smart view which connects with your phone (Samsung TV: SUHD, Smart TV n.d.) and some versions also included motion control. A techno optimist would say all this technology increases the user experience and ease of usage. Users can navigate the system with a small gesture or word without having to get up for the remote. This is the lean back experience and it is enhanced by making it easier and more natural interacting with the technology, to heighten the overall viewing experience.( Visualizing the Future of User Experience | Smart TV n.d.). The Samsung smart hub also allows users access to multiple apps and streaming sites all in one place(Samsung Smart Hub n.d.). Convergence of media platforms blending of the media, telecommunications and computer industries (Grant and Wilkinson 2009) and uniting them in one place benefits the user as they only need one device to access everything on. Opposing this view many may argue that technology is making us lazy and taking away control from the user. Racial stereotypes follow minorities everywhere they go, even in the classroom. The average American has a typical image of what a professor should look like. What should they look like? These perceived images should not exist because professors could come from all around the world. In A Prostitute, A servant, and a Customer Service Representative: A Latina In Academia , professor in the department of Critical Culture, Gender, and Race studies, Carmen R. The Era Of The Safavid Empire Under The Rule Of Shah Ismail As a political tactic, rulers often portray themselves in a certain way in order to stabilize their reign and rule more effectively. Some take the approach of uniqueness by setting themselves apart from their subject population while others take the approach of sameness by emphasizing the similarities in which they share with the people. Not exclusively limited to apartness or sameness, some rulers have shown to employ a mix of both ruling styles. It is these versatile rulers who have experienced more successes in their reign because they are not compelled to only one ruling style, allowing them to better adapt to the needs of their ruling population. The apartness ruling style is best seen in the Safavid Empire under the rule of Shah Ismail. Shah Ismail uses religion as a political tool to control his state and does so by declaring Shi ism, a smaller branch of Islam, as the state religion (#). After separating himself his people from those who are not willing to abide to his ideologies, Shah Ismail can now demand the absolute loyalties from his subjects and persecute those who are deviant. This radical act further creates a deep chasm between Shi ite Muslims and nearby Sunni Muslims neighbors. As a result, cultural flow and the exchange of beliefs between Sunni Shi ite states are essentially hindered. Characterised by its fox like face, bushy striped tail, and unmistakable mask of dark patches around their eyes, the growing population of urban raccoons has become somewhat of an epidemic. These small creatures are known for their relatively high intellect, enabling them to access human resources. Raccoons are omnivores, and have been consistently observed to eat virtually anything. Additionally, even though raccoons are technically both primary consumers and secondary consumers, they are best described as being scavengers. Raccoons have very little social structure relatively; they are known as solitary animals, most likely stemming from their nocturnal behaviors. Quite often, they will be found traveling as either a family (until the young reach adolescence, at which time they leave), or an individual. They are notorious carriers of disease, can outcompete native species, and can be quite aggressive when confronted by humans. For these reasons and more, the urban raccoon is considered a pest, and in many areas there have been countless efforts to control their populations (Gehrt, S. D., et. al., 2010, Pg. 35 47). Together, these characters go on a pilgrimage to Canterbury and along the journey they all tell different tales. Many authors like Chaucer will take real life experiences and incorporate them into their novels. In The Canterbury Tales, Chaucer uses the characters in order to reveal his inner most opinions of his past. Chaucer s solicitous portrayal of contrary women in The Miller s Tale can be traced back to his tolerance of the affair between his wife and his best friend. CNN has quoted Ali Khamenei saying: I d say [to Israel] that they will not see (the end) of these 25 years, Israel is a key ally in the Middle East, and one that we say we will support. If we hand over weapons of our allies destruction, we are not their allies. We will be indirectly helping Iran destroy Israel. In conclusion, Iran with its dictator and people will build a nuclear weapon, and they will use the weapon against Israel and the U.S. resulting in a world war. So many people will die in nuclear strikes from many countries. That is the number one thing that no one wants. Loss of human life. This deal will lead to that and even ... • 29. Dikeskemp s Influence On The Nature Of God In the beginning God is recorded as taking six days to create everything. He creates many unique and beautiful things in those first five days; however, only one of those created beings, humanity, received God s direct breath. In fact, before humanity was even created, God is recorded as saying in Genesis, Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness...(Holy Bible). God intentionally placed his own likeness into all of humanity. Consequently, as Bufford (2007) states, it seems every human life has significance and worth intrinsically woven into it. As a therapist, this has immense ramifications. Finally, this paper will recommend contracting out while recommending assurances for accountability. Background Over the past two decades, the contracting out of welfare facilities has grown and extended into new services. In 1996, the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act (PRWORA) was enacted into federal law (McConnell, Burwick, Perez Johnson, Winston, 2003). Discrepancies In Raiders Of The Lost Ark Historical Discrepancies in Raiders of the Lost Ark Raiders of the Lost Ark was a fictional film that involved Indiana Jones search for the Ark of the Covenant and his struggle against the German Nazis. Along with the Nazis, he fought against one of his personal enemies, Dr. Belloq. The film took place in 1936, three years before the beginning of World War II. This movie used the Nazi search for religious artifacts and created a mission, and an enemy, for Indiana Jones. Raiders of the Lost Ark contained many historical references, but it contained many fictional aspects as well. The main character in Raiders of the Lost Ark was Indiana Jones. Marion Ravenwood accompanied him on his search for the Ark of the Covenant. She was the daughter of Jones former archaeology professor. She was angry with Indiana Jones in the beginning of the movie due to an event which occurred before the movie began. • 35. The Vietnam War On Vietnam The War on Vietnam Many believe that the way Americans entered the war against the North Vietnam communists was unjust. The United States got into a war that they had no clue on how to win. The Vietnam War was a long, costly armed conflict that pitted the communist regime of North Vietnam and its southern allies, known as the Viet Cong, against South Vietnam and its principal ally, the United States. The divisive war, increasingly unpopular at home, ended with the withdrawal of U.S. forces in 1973 and the unification of Vietnam under Communist control two years later. More than 3 million people, including 58,000 Americans, were killed in the conflict. The South Vietnam government was not communist like its counterpart to the north, and all they wanted was peace amongst the North. The leader of the north was Ho Chi Minh, a communist leader that wanted absolute power. Ho Chi Minh actually worked in the United States as a baker. It s odd for someone from Vietnam to go work in a country like the United States of America, but with his rich family he was able to travel to the United States to work. He also lived and traveled to the United Kingdom, he worked as a chef again and a dish cleaner. When he traveled to France, he wanted equality amongst the Vietnamese and French Indo China. He and group of his political friends attempted to have a social reform amongst French Indo China but was denied by the French government. After years of moving himself up in the ranks in the ... • 37. Essay about Civil Disobedience The political concepts of justice and how a society should be governed have dominated literature through out human history. The concept of peacefully resisting laws set by a governing force can be first be depicted in the world of the Ancient Greeks in the works of Sophocles and actions of Socrates. This popular idea has developed over the centuries and is commonly known today as civil disobedience. Due to the works of Henry David Thoreau and Martin Luther King Jr. civil disobedience is a well known political action to Americans; first in the application against slavery and second in the application against segregation. Thoreau makes that evident in the following quote from his essay: There are thousands who are in opinion opposed to slavery... who yet in effect do nothing to put an end to [it]; who, esteeming themselves children of Washington and Franklin, sit down with their hands in their pockets, and say that they know not what to do, and do nothing; and even postpone the question of freedom to the question of free trade... (Thoreau, 270). Thoreau demands civil disobedience from his fellow countryman to correct the errors of the government in regards to slavery and the war of his time. Thoreau defines this concept as a deed of willful resistance, obtained by disobeying the hypocritical laws. One deed he offers his countrymen to consider as their deed of civil disobedience, is a refusal to pay taxes. Another deed, one Thoreau highly recommends, is to avert oneself from conspiring with the government in refusing to actively participate in it. Most importantly civil disobedience is civil. Meaning that the resistance to the government is peaceful and non violent in it s methods. King s work in civil disobedience seems to be in agreement with Thoreau in regarding civil disobedience as a duty of his fellow countrymen.
