Descriptive Essay About A Fair Party
Fair Party 2017 The lamp post lights are shining down on us as were sitting on
benches in a little circle. It s nighttime out at the 2017 Fulton County Fair. Groups
of people are lining up to get into the fair for the Loverboy and Survivor Classic
Rock concert. A few hours later the concert will be over and people will be going
home. That means it s time to pull the money trick on people as they leave the
concert later. My friends and I are at a party at my cousins camper. Hey guys! said
my cousin nick and all his friends. Hey, me, Gracie, Bekah, and Kenzie said. As
they were walking towards us you could hear the loud slurping of them all drinking
their milkshakes. Nick introduced me, Gracie and Kenzie to all his friends. His
friends names were Brock, Payton, Ethan, Cody, and Trey. After we all introduced
ourselves to each other we walked over to a big area with bases. Who should be on
each team, Nick asked. I don t care let s just make them even, Gracie said. We all
divided ourselves up into teams and started playing. My Team was in the field
while Nick s team was up to kick. Nick was the first kicker up, and I was pitching.
Gracie, Kenzie, Cody, and Ethan were behind me getting ready for Nick to kick. I
pitch nick the ball then wham! The kickball went right into Gracie s face. It hit her
pretty good. We took a timeout until we decided to go back to the camper and do
something else. When we got back there about a hour left until the concert was over.

As mentioned previously the IOR system allows having a detail overview of every
single project taken by Turner Company. Communication with the client it s
important through the process, which makes the client trust the company and that the
outcome his looking for would become reality. The key to negotiation is
understanding your counterpart (the owner and his project) as well as he knows
himself. The client has certain interests and these are represented in the budget for his
project, and the company must respect these expectations, which is why the IOR
system allows both, the client and Turner to interact continuously to meet the
objectives of both; finish the project on time and within the agreed to budget. Owner

Self-Efficacy in Nursing Essay
Concept analysis and concept development are the terms used to refer to the process
of bringing clarity to the definition of the concepts used in nursing science. They are
generally applied to the process of inquiry that examines concepts for their level of
development as seen in their internal structure, use, representativeness, and
relationship to other concepts, in the quest to promote better understanding. Much of
the conceptual basis of nursing theory has been derived from already established
concepts from other disciplines, and a re examination of these concepts for relevance
and fit to nursing, is important for determining its appropriateness of application
(McEwen, 2007).
Albert Bandura first described the concept of self efficacy ... Show more content on

The Rogers method of analysis consists of the following steps: define the concept,
explain surrogate terms, describe concept attributes, identify antecedents and
consequences of the concept, and discuss a model case of the concept (Zulkowsky,
2009). Method of Analysis
Defining the Concept
The concept of interest is self efficacy. This began in 1977 with Bandura s social
learning theory that was renamed social cognitive theory in 1986, of which self
efficacy was one of the major concepts of his theory. Self efficacy makes a
difference in how people will feel, think, behave, and motivate themselves. A low
sense of self efficacy can be associated with stress, anxiety, depression, and feelings
of helplessness. Such individuals also have low self esteem and become
pessimistic about their accomplishments and personal development. In thinking
terms, a strong sense of efficacy facilitates cognitive processes and performance in
a variety of settings, including the quality of decision making and academic
achievement. When it comes to behavior, self efficacy can be said to influence
people s choice of activities as self efficacy levels can foster or decrease a person s
motivation. People with high self efficacy approach difficult tasks as challenges and
do not try to avoid them. People s self efficacy beliefs determine their level of
motivation, as reflected in how much effort they will
Stanislavsky Method Acting
Stanislavsky and the History of Method Acting
I do not believe you. These five words were used by Konstantin Stanislavsky in the
late 1890 s in Soviet Russia to chastise an actor who was not convincing enough in
his role. Although but a brief glimpse into the mind of Stanislavsky, the words help
bring clarity to a technique and system that forever transformed the world of acting
and drama.
Konstantin Stanislavski was an actor and director who is credited with pioneering
method acting and the Stanislavsky system. As an actor, Stanislavski was
discontented with the prevailing ideas on theatre and acting, leading him to drop out
of the Moscow Theatre School after only being there for about two weeks. He found

One such case is Daniel Day Lewis who received traditional training rather than
experiential at Bristol Old Vic, a high profile theatre arts school in England. Daniel
Day Lewis is known for refusing to break character in between scenes and doing
extensive research for every role he accepts. This was particularly the case for
Spielberg s Lincoln, in which Lewis studied for over a year and used his Lincoln
imitative voice beyond the confines of the set to play the titular role which won
him an Oscar. Lastly, Jake Gyllenhaal is known for undergoing physical
transformations that rival the severity of De Niro s when he adopts a role. This
included losing 30 pounds to portrary the neurotic amaetur videographer Louis
Bloom in Nightcrawler. Additionally, Gyllenhaal left the film with a permanent
scar on his hand, the result of a mindset in which the lines between the actor and
the character were blurred. Following Nightcrawler with the film Southpaw,
Gyllenhaal spent 8 months in an extremely rigorous exercise routine in order to
have the physique he felt necessary to truly be a boxer. Lastly, Dustin Hoffman is
known to have engaged in method acting at least once as he stayed awake for three
days straight during the shoot movie Marathon Man. Hoffman, in his attempt to
immerse himself in the role of Thomas Levy, decided the best way for him to appear
as though he did not sleep for three days was to physically put himself in that very

international countries. 3.2 Economic Analysis In 2006, due to hurricane impact, the
price of refined sugar decreased from $0.38 to $0.31 per pound (Hershey s 10 K,
2009). This allowed companies to cut retail costs and redistribute the savings. A lot of
waste material is produced, and companies spend thousands of dollars on disposing it.
However, there is a new opportunity born due to recent developments in biofuel.
Since 2007, Lovell discovered a new method of production that can use the by product

larger variety of chocolates and healthier alternatives to the traditional chocolates.
Dark chocolates provided several health benefits by adding a flavonoid in the
chocolate that prevents various cardiovascular problems (Chocolate Trading Co.,

of Non Government Organizations (NGO), which restrict the farmer s access to
business guidance, funding, and continuing education. Farmers can t learn new
technologies making them less efficient. This prevents the chocolate manufacturers
from gaining cocoa efficiently to create more chocolates

the local vs global contrast in South Africa.
Many would question if South Africa has a unique design Style. As other countries
have a unique design style for their country itself and to be known for that specific
design style which influences others. The South African design style is not a unique
style on its own but rather influenced by European architecture as the British

Airbus vs Boeing
Executive Summary
Activities in the commercial aeroplane manufacturing industry have been outshined
by the competition involving the European owned Airbus and the USA owned
Boeing. These two companies exist as a duopoly at the top end of the commercial
aeroplane manufacturing industry that covers the development of airplanes with a
capability of more than 200 persons. Other aeroplane manufacturers also exist but at
the lower end of the industry, these smaller firms mainly develop low capacity
airplanes that basically convey less than 150 persons.
Boeing is a United States of America based company which was founded by William
Edward in 1916, the firm has been dominating the industry since its inception while
on the other hand Airbus was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As according to the company, this aircraft would help airliners save fuel costs. The
aircraft is also intended to be tons lighter than other models.
Airbus, on the other hand, with its A350 XWB intends to offer the airline market
with the largest aircraft it has produced till date. Post, Paris Air Show and the
Dubai Air Show held in 2007, A350 claims to give a stiff competition to 787.
Boeing plans to deliver its Dreamliner by 2008, and Airbus by 2013. Boeing with 5
years of advantage, and confirmed orders, industry observers inquire, if Airbus would
beat the time advantage or bank on the strength of the A350, or better still use the
time to their advantage and modify the aircraft to being user friendly
QUESTION 1: What is a duopoly market? How is competition dynamics structured
in a duopoly market? What are the pitfalls of a duopoly market?
A duopoly market can simply be referred to as one in which two firms own all or
nearly all of the market for a given product or service or it is a term which is
basically used to describe an industry where market share is dominated by only two
firms. This market structure which is a form of an oligopoly applies where few
competing companies with many buyers strategically interact with its rivals by
reacting to key business decisions. This has been the case for market segments for the
manufacturing of commercial airplanes. Over the years this market has been
dominated mainly

Salsa Dancing In Social Science Summary
In her book, Salsa Dancing into Social Science, Luker discuss the importance of
sampling, operationalization and generalization in canonical social science research
while highlight the believe that each of these ideas can also be applied to qualitative
research. While all three concepts are important to consider when it comes of
qualitative research. It is import to definite that similar and differences. The following

research, how that translates into effect qualities and explore the ways in which
Hochschild utilizes these methods in her research for Strangers in Their own Land
Sampling Luker describes sampling through canonical social science research as a
systemic random probability sample , with the goal of producing results that can
then be apply and a general way. For example, with a research question that focuses
on voting in a election, A canonical social science research question may trying to
determine how many voters are expected to vote a certain way in a election. By
using randomly sampling a certain number of voters could be surveyed the result can
provide a general description of the voting trend of an entire populations with similar
characteristic as the sample group. While I agree with Luker that sampling is
important to both canonical qualitative and qualitative social science research, in the
case of qualitative research, the word has different meaning. In contrast to the
Basic Aspects Of Standards Research
Introduction
This paper will discuss various aspects of standards research. First, it will select one
of the working groups in the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) or Institute of
Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and thoroughly summarize what this
group is working on. Next, this paper will justify the need of the IEEE 802 standard
used in networking. Also, it will evaluate the three standard organizations including
IEEE, ISO, and ANSI to determine the most important for communication
technology. Finally, this paper will describe the author s position on the need for a
Federal regulating body of standards such as NIST.

Clearly, the OPSAWG focuses on the operations side of the house, and would be the
most logical working group to submit a request for review of an operational guideline.
Specifically, the focus of this WG is on topics that manage the behavior of other
working groups in the O M area (e.g., manageability requirements). Equally important,
it focuses on small, highly focused projects that do not warrant a separate working
group, or belong to ones that have already concluded (e.g. advancement of documents
on the standards track, application statements, extensions of MIB modules).
(Operations and management area working group, n.d., para 3).
IEEE 802
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) decided that there was a
significant need for a set of rules or standards for data to travel from one computer to
another. Essentially, it decided to standardize these methods for data packets transfers
by implementing a set of rules and regulations called IEEE 802 standards.
Consequently, these standards help the industry by providing advantages such as low
product cost, interoperability, and easy to manage standards, divided into many parts.
Interestingly, these standard parts include everything from cabling to network
standards. Of note, these IEEE standards affect only Local Area Networks (LAN) and
Metropolitan Area Networks
Struggling With Debt
Are you struggling with debt ? If so, there might be a good reason for that. Debt is
a consequence of our actions when it comes to spending money. In most cases,
people that are debt free share certain characteristics. If you truly want to be debt
free, you will need to apply these characteristics to your own life.
Four attributes of debt free people
1.They are patient. Becoming debt free and stain debt free you have to develop
patients. Individuals that are patient never buy on impulse. They have no problem
with waiting and saving for a big ticket item that they want. By practicing patience, it
eliminates the risk of spending money that is allocated to paying your bills such as
your car payment, mortgage and utilities. It also prohibits

Weaknesses Strengths:
Strength: Although Audi does have strong competitors in the luxury auto space, they
have high brand recognition in the U.S. People perceive Audi as an innovative and
high tech company which is a very strong strength against competition.
Strength: Audi automobiles are extremely strong from a design and technology
standpoint. The cars are tested in various conditions and environments, and provide
luxury and a great driving fun to users.
Audi A6 has still big dimensions for midsize.194 inches long auto is an inch longer
than 5 series and 2 inch longer than Mercedes E Class which is a strong advantage.
The extensive use of aluminum has helped to reduce the weight of the car. Now A6

The first performance of the night began at halftime. The prominent EIU marching
band formed in a perfectly rounded heart around the Panther logo at the fifty yard
line. Dressed in flashy black feathered hats, royal blue and black shirts, and black
pants, the trumpets roared and the drummers pounded with might. Their eyes were
focused on the music while the conductor firmly gave them the beat as he vigorously
moved about on the stand. The flags were being twirled effortlessly by the delicately
nimble hands of their holders. As the music was being beautifully executed, the
gorgeous baton twirler spun and launched her baton high into the air. The band first
entertained the crowd with the playing of UpTown Funk, the dedication song of the
summer of 2015, then Fall Out Boy s Uma Thurman, and lastly Walk The Moon s
song Shut Up and Dance with Me.
The Pink Panthers accompanied the band in their halftime performance. Adding to
the already spectacular performance of the band, the Pink panthers brought a little

Software Is Tightly Integrated With The Matlab
Environment
Simulink software is tightly integrated with the MATLAB environment. It requires
MATLAB to run, depending on it to define and evaluate model and block parameters.
Simulink can also utilize many MATLAB features. For example, Simulink can use
the MATLAB environment to:
Define model inputs.
Store model outputs for analysis and visualization.
Perform functions within a model, through integrated calls to MATLAB operators
and functions
Concept of signal and logic flow:
In Simulink, data/information from various blocks is sent to another block by lines
connecting the relevant blocks. Signals can be generated and fed into blocks
dynamic / static).Data can be fed into functions. Data can then be dumped into sinks,
which could be scopes, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Unused signals must be terminated, to prevent warnings about unconnected signals.
Sources and sinks
Continuous and discrete systems:
All dynamic systems can be analyzed as continuous or discrete time systems.
Simulink allows you to represent these systems using transfer functions, integration
blocks, delay blocks etc.
continous and descrete systems
Non linear operators:
A main advantage of using tools such as Simulink is the ability to simulate non linear
systems and arrive at results without having to solve analytically. It is very difficult
to arrive at an analytical solution for a system having non linearities such as
saturation, signup function, limited slew rates etc. In Simulation, since systems are
analyzed using iterations, non linearities are not a hindrance. One such could be a
saturation block, to indicate a physical limitation on a parameter, such as a voltage
signal to a motor etc. Manual switches are useful when trying simulations with
different cases. Switches are the logical equivalent of if then statements in
programming. simulink blocks
Mathematical operations:
Mathematical operators such as products, sum, logical operations such as and, or,
etc. .can be programmed along with the signal flow. Matrix multiplication becomes
easy with the matrix gain block. Trigonometric functions such as sin or tan inverse
(at an) are also available. Relational operators such as equal to , greater than etc. can
also be used in logic
Cholesterol And Levels Of Cholesterol Essay
Introduction:In the United States, more than 2,100 people die from cardiovascular
disease each day. According to the American Heart Association, too much cholesterol
in a person s blood can lead to a heart disease and stroke (1). Cholesterol is the most
common sterol in animal. Plants also have sterols in their structure, however human
enzyme systems can only digest animal sterols (2). Cholesterolis produced in our
bodies by the liver (endogenous) or could come from the foods we eat (exogenous).
Both kinds are transported to and from the cells by lipoproteins: LDL and HDL. LDL
cholesterol is considered to be the bad cholesterol, since it contributes in depositing
plaque in the arteries, therefore contributing to atherosclerosis. HDL, on the other
hand, is considered to be the good cholesterol since it has the opposite effect; it
removes the LDL cholesterol from the arteries carrying it back to the liver,
therefore reducing risks of atherosclerosis. Maintaining the low levels of LDL and
high levels of HDL is extremely important, as HDL is responsible for moving the
cholesterol from the blood to the liver whereas LDL is the reason for the build up
inside the artery therefore increasing the risk of the cardiovascular diseases. In
order to assess cholesterol levels in the body, blood serum cholesterol is tested. It is
recommended that total cholesterol (TC) level in an individual to be less than 200
mg/dl (desirable level). The level between 200 239 mg/dl is
Mesopotamian And Hellenistic Art
In History, artistic achievements have represented cultural advancements in civilized
society. The artist s ability to express themselves on a surface plane has progressed
immensely from the prehistoric era through the present. At one time, techniques were
so primitive, simple handheld figures and tools were all artisans had the ability to
craft. However, Mesopotamian and Greek and Hellenistic Art specifically,
modernized the techniques and boundaries of sculpture and figurative art. As time
goes on, an artist s ability to express themselves within their art has progressed.
Artists possess the ability to express personal beliefs through depictions, of which are
so detailed many art historians interpret their meanings similarly. Historically... Show

Besides the past as a claim for complex art impling cultural prominence in societies,
the present is a great representation of a society s cultural qualities. The United
States population s ability to express themselves has grown the most in recent
decades. Specifically in art, one can express themselves however they want, no:
restrictions, limitations, or necessary guidelines. This capability to express one s
self is comparable to our cultures recent stressed activism for the freedom to act
without criticism. Artist s role now, is to be as personal, unique, and creative as
possible. Our society is going through a change of cultural acceptance for those who
feel oppressed. Art is currently about being creative and expressing emotions or
ideas through a surface plane medium. However, it always was not this way. Artists
and their art world, from century to century, responds to their societies attributes.
Because of this, past cultures prominence can be interpreted and represented through
their art. Recalling the oldest known art periods, first, the Prehistoric Art era, we can
see societies from b.c. through 2500 b.c., that their cultures were advanced. From
personal representations of nature and deities, these people s small ability to create

Describe The Similarities And Differences Between The...
According to Niall Ferguson, westerners make up about 19% of the world s
population, but have 66% of the world s wealth. The reason why westerners, or
Europeans, are so wealthy today is because of European cities. Western European
cities during the time period of 1000 1500 CE had distinct cultural developments
which allowed Europeto later conquer world trade. Other global civilizations, such
as Mongol China and medieval Cairo, were similar and different from medieval
Europe culturally. These civilizations were similar in the fact that both Europe and
China had urban growth in cities; both Europeans and the Muslims of Cairo were
able to live in a society with no rigid rules. These civilizations differed from Europe
as well: European towns were autonomous, while the citizens of both China and
Cairo were ruled by the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In addition to the differences they share culturally, there are differences between
Europe and both China and Cairo economically. For example, in European towns,
capitalism was practiced. Because there was no formal government dominating in
Europe, capitalism allowed merchants to do as they wished without the
government s permission. This contrasts with China and Cairo, as in these
civilizations, socialism was exercised. Because of socialism, the merchants of
China and Cairo had to have the government s approval before they were able to
make any decisions. This is just one of the many differences between these global
civilizations. Because Europe was different than the other global civilizations, such
as Cairo and China, it was able to advance and later, dominate world trade. Europe
today is one of the most wealthiest places in the world (they have 66% of the world
s wealth, according to Ferguson). They were able to achieve such power and wealth
because of the way European towns were
Essay On African Americans
The life of an African brought to the United States in the eighteenth century was not
an easy one. They were torn from their land of origin, stripped of all of their personal
property, had their senses of originality and individuality stolen from them and were
then forced to work in brutal environments where they were treated inhumanely. Yet
still, many African (turned African Americans) were able to find time to both keep
their culture intact and advance themselves and their fellow people. Both Leslie
Alexander and Fredrick Douglass detail the tribulations African Americans went
through in America who attempted to hold onto their senses of self in a place where
everything around them was meant to restrict that very ability and how they managed

They believed that death [was] merely another phase of the life cycle and through
that belief remained linked to African cosmological interpretations of life and death (
It is often argued that once Africans were brought to America many of their
traditional African beliefs were lost during the Seasoning Process and that they had
become accultured as a result (Alexander, 4). The Africans who would partake in the
burial practices in New York City were nothing of the sort. They still held onto
several of the seemingly superstitious ideals from their homeland. These ideals
allowed them to be able to, in a way, rebel against the system that tried to oppress
them. It allowed for them to maintain a sense of hope because they believed that in
death, lied a way for them to return to Africa. During their burial ceremonies, the New
York African Americanpopulation would often bury their loved ones with shells,
seashells to be exact. Seashells, come from the sea, as did the Africans who were
brought here on slave ships. So by their belief, they would be able to return to Africa
in the afterlife when they were buried with the seashells which would essentially
mean that they were not bound to America in the way those who brought them there
would have thought they

My Experience Of Moving To A New Country
Moving to a new house it s exciting but moving to a new country it s terrifying. That
s how I felt when I moved here to the states, terrified. Entering unknown land
without knowing a sense of English can be very overwhelming at a young age.
Leaving my family was definitely one of the hardest thing I ve experienced
because I couldn t just drive back to visit them. Even though I was only 12 when I
moved from Venezuela, that journey has helped me grow and have a better mindset.
I get to see things differently and have a different look on life. I would say that it has
definitely help me transition from childhood to adulthood. Because moving with new
people, learning a new culture and language is something special yet so stressing. At
times I find
Orson Welles Use Of Montages In The Film Citizen Kane
Citizen Kane by Orson Welles is a story that was made for excellence. However,
since it was about William Randolph Hearst, it did not do too well. Many movies
didn t want to play the film because they were scared of Hearst and his power.
Although, many could not see the movie it still became one of the greatest films ever
made through its uncommon angles, montages, and lighting. One of the most famous
scenes in filmis the beginning where Charles Foster Kanedies after saying rosebud.
What makes this scene so great was the camera angle. The snow globe that Kane
drops after his death created an angle never before seen. This angle allowed for the
intensity of the scene to increase as it emphasizes the nurse running in the room and
the broken globe to show Kane s world as comes crashing down on him. Another
interesting camera angle is when Kane is being taken away from his mother where
both her and Kane are visible and in full focus. Along with this angle it also has a
smooth transition from the angle of the mother and sliding through the window to
allow for the new scene. These... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The first montage seen is the March of Time Newsreel. This reel is very important
as it tells us that Charles Foster Kane dies and gives us a backstory on his ridiculous
life. Another important montage in the story was after Kane got married to his first
wife, Emily Kane. This montage shows him and his new wife happy at the table.
Going through many weeks and months this montage shows the transition Kane and
his wife has just through the being at the dinner table. At first, they are lovey dovey
sitting close to each other, then Emily starts talking about how he is always at work
which leads to them sitting away from each other by the end of the montage reading
opposite newspapers. The montage are really important but the lighting allows the
story to really stand
Psychology In Hamlet
Psychology is not excluded altogether, however. In the 2008 production, we do not
see the apparition in the direction towards which Hamlet points. The 2008 Royal
Shakespeare Company production keeps us hovering between the theatrical and the
psychological. These two realms are intertwined. Indeed, as the Ghostenters Hamlet
curls up. This reveals that the apparition s presence is castrating. As a matter of
course, it is only when the Ghost enters that Hamlet loses control of the scene. The
father figure is seen here as theatrically and sexually castrating. From the beginning of
the scene to the moment when the spirit appears, Hamlet dominates the stage both
theatrically and sexually. The Queen speaks no more than twelve lines while the
South Park Censorship
Freedom of expression entitles humans to articulate our own unique vocabulary,
especially when their opinions differ from others. South Park is a notorious paragon
tackling censorship boundaries with brilliant wordplay every episode and
implementing freedom of speech. For me, the program serves as a weekly litmus test
of censorship and freedom of expression. South Parkis the brainchild of college
friends Trey Parkerand Matt Stone. This TV show, on the Comedy Central Network,
is a cartoon but not for children. On August 13, 1997, the first airing, South Park
became the first major cable program to get the TV MA rating (for mature audiences
only). The main characters are Stan Marsh, Kyle Broflovski, Eric Cartman, the

South Park wanted to show homage to the French satirical paper that published
comedic pictures of Muhammad. The creators dedicated 200 and 201 to the paper
after their own convictions; both episodes would feature Muhammad as well.
Comedy Central received threats of extreme violence if the prophet Muhammad
was displayed in any way on the show. The creative group behind South Park was
prepared to endure the repercussions of their comedy. In 200, Muhammad is in a
truck to include, but exclude the character from vision. I think they were
concerned about the approach of giving in to the ultimatum, and essentially
backing down altogether. The boundaries regarding freedom of expression should
not adjust to the whims or threats of bullies otherwise known as terrorists. The
network received more threats of terror and the morning of the airing of 201, the
network censored Muhammad with a giant box all over his face with CENSORED
written on it. There are no copies of 201 uncensored available whatsoever and you
can only watch the episode on the commemorative DVD package of the season.
There is still absolutely no streaming of any kind for either episode, almost 10 years
Football is one of the most popular sports in the world,...
Football is one of the most popular sports in the world, especially in young athletes.
Almost all football players face injuries though. From concussions, to career ending
knee injuries, almost all football players suffer football injuries. The cost of an
injury can be devastating too. But fortunately there are preventions to at least help
stop so many injuries. One of the most common football injuries are concussions. A
concussion is a change in mental state due to traumatic impact (Levine). Football
players are very susceptible to concussions. The percentage of injuries to a football
player, concussions happen 7.4% of the time (Kvcera). Concussions usually occur

And also keep hydrated. Dehydration is not good. And also, this is probably a dead
giveaway, all players have to wear proper equipment, like helmets, and shoulder
pads ( Levine). But all teams ensure that their players wear proper equipment.
Playing fields must be safe to play on also. If the playing facility is not safe that is
definitely a cause of injury. Holes In the field or broken glass and many other
things can go wrong with the playing field that can cause injury. Players have to be
taken care of as well. For older players, trainers must take care of their players. For
younger players, it is the parents responsibility to make sure their child is safe and
able to play football. (Kvcera) On average, the approx. cost per injury in football is
around $150 per injury (American orthopedic society for sports medicine). I think
you can assume that nobody wants to pay that, on top of an injury. The frequency
of injury that occurs is from about 10 to 35 per 1000 playing hours (American
orthopedic society for sports medicine). Numbers representing football injuries are
ugly aren t they? One of the most fatal injuries is to the face or neck. Broken neck
can paralyze a player, and they could never be able to play again. An injury to this
part of the body happens about 4.3% of the time. That s still not very good. As you
can tell, there is nothing good about football injuries. Concussions, knee injuries, neck

According to an issue of Harvard Women s Health Watch, Studies have also shown
that goals are easier to reach if they are specific. Setting goals is proven to help
establish change better, than someone who has a broader goals. For example,
someone trying to lose weight might want their goal to be jog for twenty minutes
each day and they will change faster than someone who is also trying to lose
weight yet sets the goal of jog more. More could mean an hour each week or each
month, and the goal leaves no room for improvement, which is essential to change. In
an interview for a Reuters news article, former gang member Stephanie Lane states
that Now I feel like I ve got too much to lose. Boxing keeps my head on straight and
gets me back in shape. To combat her problem of relapsing to the gang life, Lane
took specific measures which helped change her outlook on life. Taking action and
setting goals is a major way to combat changing. Although some critics say, we can
not change with just goals in mind, but look deeper in themselves. , people can
change, but they need to follow the steps. Havard states, different strategies are
needed at different stages. This proves that people need different strategies or
different goals in order to progress further. In order to change, people must have
specific goals in mind, but not broad

Measures for Forecasting
Forecasting exchange rates while operating in Bangladesh is a crucial task for every

necessity of forecasting exchange rates for our US based MNC Georgia Power.
These objectives are:

In the mixed forecasting approach, we will emphasize more on the fundamental
methods of forecasting as the economic factors play a huge role for this power
generation business. One of the most important economic variables for this business
is the price of input that is price of natural gas. At the same time, we need to consider
the availability of production inputs and labor capital. Furthermore, we can use the
theory of Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) to specify the relationship between the
inflation differential of USA and Bangladesh and the exchange rate. Recall that
according to PPP, the percentage change in the foreign currency s value (e) over a
period should reflect the differentiable between the home inflation rate (Ih) and the
foreign inflation rate (If) over that period.
The U.S. inflation rate was to be 3 percent in the year 2015, while the Bangladeshi
inflation rate was 6.83 percent. According to PPP, the Bangladeshi taka s exchange
rate should change as follows:
ef=1+Ius/1+IF 1
=1.03/1.068 1
= 3.56%
This forecast of the percentage change in the American dollar can be applied to its
existing spot rate to forecast the future spot rate at the end of one year. If the
existing spot rate (St) of the Bangladeshi taka is $0.01286, the spot rate at the end of
one year, E(St+1),was $0.0124 calculated as follows:
E(St+1)=St(1+ef)
=$0.01286[1+ ( 0.0356)]
=$0.0124
Along with the fundamental forecasting
An Epidemic in the Government was the The American...
Government is a branch or service of the supreme authority of a state or nation,
taken as representing the whole. The government was a system that was ordained by
God in order to maintain liberties that God has granted us and also punish those who
disobey God commands. One of the roles given to the government is to promote
economic progress by protecting the rights of individuals and allowing for the free
marketeconomy of the laws of supply and demand to free take place. One epidemic
that has surfaced over the years would be the The American Taxpayer Relief Act of
2012. The law allows for many of the Bush taxcuts to retain while those who have a
higher income are taxed at a higher rate. One of the major problems that this act of
legislation causes economically is an unequal taxation of different groups based on
their income. Those who make $400,000+ are taxed a rate of 39.6% of their total
income. (H.R 8, 112th Congress) This does not incorporate sales tax and property
taxes that are also taken each year as well. In the book Economicsin One Lesson by
Henry Hazlitt, one topic that is discussed is how taxes discourages production. In
the case of The American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012, those who are of working
class category will not see a change in their tax rates. This is great since the
monetary funds that they do not pay in taxes they can either invest or use in the
market. However, the taxes for those who are of upper class status have the burden.
As Hazlitt
The Evilest Man Pol Pot Sparknotes
Here, we have one of Earth s evilest men to get ahold of an excruciating amount of
power. Saloth Sar, later changing his name to Pol Pot was Cambodia s communist
leader from 1975 to 1979. He was the 8th of 9 children and was the second of two
sons. His family was prestigious and the Cambodian King Sisowath Monivong made
many visits. Along with the Khmer Rougemovement, Mr. Pot managed to kill about
1.5 million Cambodians out of the 8 million at the time. His rise into power is a
story of great triumph to evil, but for now let us see the origins of the Evilest Man on
Earth.
Pol Pot was born in Prek Sbauv, a small village in 1925. This village was
approximately 100 miles north of Phnom Penh, the Cambodian Capital. His family
was a little more than middle ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After that, he began to go to a French Catholic primary school. He continued his
learning until 1949, where he went to Paris, France. He studied radio technology and
was an avid communist. After his arrival back to Cambodia, he had found that its
people were rebelling against French rule, a year later they got their independence.
From 1956, Pot had taught history, geography and French literature, all while he
had joined a secret communist party and plotting a revolution. In the 60s, he made
the party exclusively focusing on Marxism Leninism. The group moved deep in
the countryside and in 1968 they began a national uprising that led to his total
command of the country. In 1970, while the Prince of Cambodia was out of the
country, the group started a civil war. The Prince had been kicked out of power
and turned to the Khmer Rouge movement. He supported Pol Pot in the uprising.
By 1975, the Khmer Rouge took control of the capital. As its leader, Pol Pot
became the leader of the country. Life under the Rouge was deadly. Everyone was
stripped of their belongings and worked in the fields as part of a re education
program. Anyone that refused would be taken to detention centers,

The Health Risk Associated with a Missing Ingredient in Bottled Water
Nothing in education is so astonishing as the amount of ignorance it accumulates in
the form of inert facts. * Henry Adams
We can t change the bottled water industry, but we can change our own ignorance.
Paul W. Mason
You may think that drinking bottled water is healthier than drinking tap water.
However, according to a recent Dateline NBC top story on the quality of bottled
water, this healthy move is not so healthy after all. Recently, a bottled water company
in California was found to be bottling its brand of Yosemitewater from a well in

There is a key ingredient missing in the bottled water we drink and it is putting us at
serious health risks. This missing element is Magnesium. Our recent switch from tap
to bottled water has left 72% of our population magnesium deficient (Blackburn 1).
However, our population doesn t know about this current danger, they have been
lulled into believing that bottled water is healthy.
There are 150,000 deaths per year being caused by magnesium deficiency (United 4).
That calculates to one death every 2.5 minutes. In fact, a small city population dies
each year because they are magnesium deficient.
When you are magnesium deficient, your cholesterol is raised, you absorb more
saturated fatty acids, you decrease fecal excretion of saturated fatty acids and
cholesterol and you decrease myocardial concentrations of magnesium (Current 141).
There are also many signs of magnesium deficiency; nausea, confusion, delirium,
muscle weakness, irritability and electrical changes in the heart muscle.
Magnesium deficiency also causes atherosclerosis, ischemic heart disease,
arrhythmia, and cardiovascular death (Citizens 2). Magnesium deficiency has killed
more people than those that were killed in all of the American wars (Blackburn 1).
So why isn t this news making front page headlines? The deaths are becoming almost
as frequent as those associated
Identity In Higher Learning By John Singleton
Who am I? This question asked so often suggests that there is actually a reasonable
answer. Almost as if our own personal being were a fixed thing. Generally, people
who ask this type of question are usually struggling with their identity and thus are
looking for something to make sense of themselves. The irony is that the more you
seek to identify who you are, the more you are exposed to being fragile. Some
people spend their live looking for an answer that could possibly satisfy them but
still never find anything. The main focus shouldn t be on discovering who you are
but on considering the social influences that have affected you. Racial identity is
one of the biggest themes that John Singleton explored in the film Higher Learning
Most of the characters were in search for tangible answers to this exact
question.Character like Ice cube couldn t graduate from Columbus University
because he couldn t find an answer that could totally satisfy him. Omar Epps who

The special effects are some of the biggest highlights of The Matrix. Even though I
am the biggest fan of Gap swing commercial with the frozen panning shots and how
virtually cool it looks, I thought they were interesting to watch I the movies,
especially on the big screenЖ’Вє.
Directors Andy and Larry Wachowskihave created a very dark and crazy
atmosphere. Virtually every scene is tense and full of intensity. When the violence
starts, it gets poured on in spades, as in Blade, we get to watch the heroes take on
hordes of enemies without breaking a sweat.
Hugo Weaving, who plays a machine in human form called an Agent, is an excellent
villain. I know that I am supposed to be sticking with the good guys, but for this
IВЎВ¦ll make an exception. They were my second favorite characters. He and his
partners are armed with a power over the Matrix that makes them deadly enemies. I
guess that there s a very real threat of danger to the heroes. A few small details also
add a nice touch to the Question Reality theme: the explanation of deja vu, the
reasoning for why everything tastes like chicken, humans being compared to a virus,
etc.
As a bonus, the soundtrack rocks as much as the movie.

The Force and Effects of the 1960 Valdivia Earthquake
Introduction
On the 22nd of May 1960, the world s largest earthquake which was documented
occurred very close to Valdivia, Chile. The earthquake struck with a force of 9.5
magnitude. The earthquake pushed up a small area of the South Pacific Ocean,
creating a massive tsunami travelling at 200 miles per hour across the ocean causing
major damage to other countries and islands like Hawaii, Japan, the Philippines as
well as the entire West Coast of the United States.
Tectonic Plates
Chile lies almost on a plate boundary of the Nazca plate and the South American
plate which is known to be continuously subducting. Deep under the ocean, where the
Nazca Plate was subducting under the South American Plate, the edge of the plate
was also being dragged down with the Nazca Plate. Then over time when the pressure
between the plates reached a maximum, the edge of the plate flicked upwards,
causing a massive earthquake and a fault line that extended over a 900 1000
kilometer stretch of the Nazca Plate. The earthquake was caused by a reverse fault,
when the faults move together and the land moves upwards. The place where the
earthquake occurred was in the Ring of Fire, a circular area in the Pacific Ocean
where many earthquakes and volcanic eruptions constantly occur.
Prediction Evacuation Seismologists have not found out a working method that can
predict when the next earthquake will occur and how strong it will be. On the other

Climate Change Is A Serious Reason For Nervousness
Climate change is a serious reason for nervousness. It touches all parts of life on our
planet. Mostly every scientist claims that anthropogenic global warming is to blame
for climate change. Nevertheless, there is a small fraction of people that deny the
very presence of global warming. Their arguments carry a certain amount of influence
in some groups, but they lack the scientific proof for their arguments. Global warming
is the escalation of Earth s average temperatures due to the effect of greenhouse
gases. Such as carbon dioxide emissions from burning fossils fuels and the
disforestation of our forest and jungles, which trap the heat that would eventually
escape from earth back to space. This is a method of greenhouse effect. Global
climate changeis already beginning to transmute the presence of life on earth. Also,
climate change is transforming the landscape, the rising seas, stronger storms,
increased risk of floods and droughts, higher temperatures, more heat related illnesses
with in humans and the economy. Wild animals are facing new challenges for
survival because of climate change. More common storms, droughts, heat waves,
melting glaciers and warmer oceans, can directly harm the animals, and destroy their
habitat. For example, the giant pandafrom China is being threatened by loss of habitat
and the lost of the bamboo by climate change. According to the article, Climate

of sins, the religion is what drove them. The Pope s sermon pushed Cristian s
teaching in his war. Many had the power to by blessing ignore the sixth
commandment thou shall not kill. They wanted soldiers to fight but to be rewarded
instead of going to hell and suffer in the afterlife. In the year of 1096 after a whole
year of the pope sermon armies from France, Germany, and Italy went out to meet

that it s not a sin to kill non Christian s and kill non believer s in our faith, he made
a deal that if you fight in a place called the holy land you will be forgiven, all the past

Cartesian Dualism Essay
My definition of Cartesian dualism is the belief of an afterlife. Believing that your
soul is not the same substance as your body. Cartesian dualism consists of two parts,
the mind and the body being independent, but casually interacting with one another.
The mind can influence the body, and the body can affect the mind, but they are
distinct in their separate positions. Descartes argues this theory by implying the
nature of mind as a thinking thing being completely different from the body as a non
thinking thing and that it is possible for one to exist without the other. The mind and
body are both substances, substances are things that can exist alone without anything
else. He explains the properties as breaking them down into primary attributes... Show

He uses the wax example described in meditation 2 comparing the awareness of
himself to his awareness of wax. He states For if I judge that the wax exists from
the fact that I see it, clearly this same fact entails much more evidently that I
myself also exist. It is possible that what I see is not really the wax; it is possible
that I do not even have eyes with which to see anything. (Descartes Mediation 2) He
is contradicting his delusional ideas of doubt about his existence to help understand
the common sense position. There is a metaphysical connection between the mind
and the body, so he does not go by what the eye sees, but more of what the soul sees
beyond what is directly in front of you. He uses the third mediations to characterize
what it is to be epistemic describing it as clear and distinct perception. The basis for
perception and clear judgement is the evidence he used to understand an epistemic
view. (Plato.Stanford.edu) Descartes belief that the mind and body interact could be
seen as just an illusion, but the fact that he used his thought process and him
questioning his identity to defer whether it is possible for the mind and body to be
separate substances explains his perceptual experiences and how it is plausible. I
think that it is an accurate theory because of the dependence on the mind and the
dependence we have on the body.
Alexandre Dumas Fils s Camille
In the novel Camille the author Alexandre Dumas Fils reveals the story of a
woman s life as a prostitute, along with her love affair, based in the mid 19th
century in France. Although the narrative alone is captivating, it becomes more
intriguing after discovering the correlation the author has with his own story.
Dumas Fils gives the story depth by providing a frame story and an inner story, and
significantly connecting the two, as well as connecting it to himself. He also
expertly highlights issues that he himself relates to and has faced in his lifetime.
Furthermore, the author introduces a female perspective to the story, in order to
stress the call for women to be treated fairly in society. Dumas Fils uses his own
experiences to bring... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These problems stemmed from the life of Dumas Fils himself, which ultimately lead
him to put the affairs down on paper. One of the most significant ones was how the
women of this time desired all the luxuries and what they did to get their hands on
them. The most evident example of this is prostitution, which is a focal point in the
novel. Many of the women, including Marguerite, sell their love in order for a man
to provide her with wealth and fortune. However, as proven in the story, this kind
of life does not end well. One the first page written in ink, in an elegant hand, an
inscription on the part of the giver. It consisted of these words: Manon to
Marguerite. Humility (Dumas Fils 21). Like Marguerite, all prostitute s lives
would be over as soon as they started to age, because no one wanted them anymore.
When Marguerite is along and dying she has many regrets about the life she lived.
It is a sad life that I am leaving (Dumas Fils 35). Dumas Fils shows the result of the
sinful lives of kept women by creating the scene of Marguerite s grave being dug
up. It was terrible to see, it is horrible to relate. The eyes were nothing but two holes,
the lips had disappeared, vanished, and the white teeth were tightly set. The black
hair long and dry, was pressed tightly about the forehead, and half veiled the green
hollows of the cheeks (Dumas Fils 57). Another

Divorce not only affects the spouses, but it also affects the children involved. As
many Americans know the children are the ones who suffer the most from
separations. For instance, in an article written by Christina Sadowki called A
Phenomenological Analysis of the Experience of Security and Contentment for
Latency Aged Children in shared time parenting Arrangement. The article describes
to the audience how children aged 8 12 felt dealing with shared time arrangement. In
the text Sadowski mentioned For each child, it is the rigid, unresponsive context
which the conflict occurs that triggers great distress, then exacerbated by the parent
s on going failure to recognize... the child s needs (88). This statement made is a
huge factor in the lives of the children involved in divorcesolely because they re
trapped. The ones trapped are the children, divorce affects the children in ways a
parent could never know. Due to the fact that as in the article stated the children
observe and the parents have no clue leaving a child feeling unwanted, ultimately
leading to more problems down the road. For instance, when I was growing up I had
no memories of my father so when I got older I became accustomed to it; ultimately,
leading me to lack interests in gaining a father figure. According to another article

Yosemite National Park Research Paper
Yosemite National Park is a national park located in Northern California, attracting
countless tourists from countries all across the world for its luscious green
landscape, beautiful waterfalls, and variety of different hiking trails. However it is
known by many for far more than its physical beauty, and a deep history and
significance have created the national park that Americans love today.
According to Larry Beck in his work, The National Park Centennial: What the Parks
Mean to Us Today, Yosemite is far more significant than just a pretty place to visit.

It is a part of nature, and nature is unpredictable and at times dangerous. The many
steep and slippery trails could be potentially very dangerous, especially to those
unsuited to climb such challenging hikes. Weather is also unpredictable, and rain
or storms could be a serious threat to people in the park. It is a very forested area,
so any fire could be an extremely dangerous one, which is why it is so important to
ensure there is as little risk (on the tourists behalf) as possible. Two people were told
they had gotten the plague after visiting Yosemite National Parkback in 2015,
according to the article, Investigation of and Response to 2 Plague Cases, Yosemite

exposing oneself to the elements and diseases found in nature. Bacteria cannot be
seen by the human eye, so it is difficult to completely shelter and protect oneself
from being exposed to harmful diseases when they do not know how to or where to
be cautious. Fleas and rodents are dangerous because people are often unaware of
them, or get lost in the beauty and forget they are there; additionally, it is impossible
to tell which carry such life threatening diseases and which do

Chiquita in Colombia: Funding Paramilitary Groups to Protect Business and

Case Summary:
United Fruit Company, a company that grows bananas in Central America and
exports them to North America and Europe, became Chiquita Brands International in
1984 through a series of mergers and control changes (Maurer, 2012, p. 485).
Chiquita Brands relocated its headquarters to Cincinnati, Ohio, and began to expand
its holdings in land and shipping (Maurer, 2012, p. 485).

The company could have closed down and sold its banana plantation in Colombia,
but Chiquita let the atrocities continue for years. Perhaps Chiquita was following the
analytical framework of utilitarianism. Chiquita may have thought that making these
payments to paramilitary groups was protecting more workers than it was harming;
therefore, it was the right thing to do.
Knowing that paramilitary groups had murdered Chiquita workers, one would
assume continuing to make payments to these groups would be wrong. When
Chiquita continued making payments and workers were still being massacred, one
should consider stopping the payments and selling the farmland. Perhaps Chiquita
could even relocate the banana plantation and help relocate the workers to a more
secure area.
Chiquita faced legal challenges by doing business in a politically unstable foreign
environment. A lesson learned from this case is to keep up with and always abide
by the laws set in the foreign country, as well as one s own country. Following the
laws and making sure one knows the laws is good advice for any firm starting a
business in a similarly volatile
The Importance Of The Study And Practice Of Different...
The importance of the study and practice of different types of art education has been
dated back to Plato s time. Studying the arts today is often overlooked due to the
other core classes and deemed unimportant, yet to many students it is something they
re passionate about. It takes time to learn and perfect the skills required to perform
these artssimilarly to how it takes time to learn new formulas and how they work in
a math class. However, all over the country, there are schools losing state funds. Fine
arts is one subject that is being hit the hardest by this. Classes such as band, drama,
music, painting, etc., are either being taken out individually or they re all being
eliminated completely. All forms of art and art educationaid to the improvement of
student s learningabilities and are essential to their school career, therefore it should
not be ripped away from the school curriculum. Multiple different studies have been
conducted regarding art education and whether or not it actually has a significant
impact on students. State s standardized testing focuses mainly on the math and
language arts scores. Time spent in these classes has been increased to
accommodate for the high expectations on the test, meaning that the arts classes
have been decreased. This decrease in arts classes is absurd considering that taking
arts classes in school or as a type of extracurricular actually improve tests scores. A
series of four longitudinal studies were conducted in 2012
Narcissistic Personality Disorder Essay examples
We all love ourselves. That seems to be such a true statement that we do not bother
to look it as a possible disorder. A person who loves himself is one thing but one
who loves his reflection is another. A healthy person will love himself and his

other hand one who is in love with his reflection is cause for narcissism. One who

Antitrust Law Violation Of Antitrust Laws
Antitrust Law Violations
Introduction
This paper will discuss the Google case that was presented by Microsoft stating that
Google was in violation of antitrust laws. Also, in this paper some of the pecuniary
and non pecuniary costs will be discussed. Given in this paper will also be my
thoughts on monopolies and oligopolies.
Antitrust Case
Google was investigated for antitrust behavior because they were claimed to be an
internet bully that abuses its dominance of online search and advertising
(STEINHAUSER LIEDTKE, 2011, p. 1). Google was doing things like buying
smaller companies in search results but then labeling/highlighting their own services
instead. Being that Google was knocking out the competition by only showing their
results ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When dealing with market structures and considering Google as a monopoly, the
characteristics of the monopoly market structure fit. In a sense, Google is being seen
as the only producer for internet search, and is trying to make it seem through their
practices that they are the only reliable business in the industry. Because of the
overwhelming market power Google is gaining through the use of other smaller
companies, other businesses such as Microsoft, are beginning to feel that the
competition being created is unfair and favored. Especially with Google blocking out
their results as the search engine is used.
Antitrust as Investopedia pointed out, prohibits a variety of practices that restrain
trade, ( Antitrust Definition | Investopedia , n.d.). According to the complaints of
Microsoft, Google was in violation of the Sherman Act of 1980. The Sherman Act
states that, public is best served by free competition in trade and industry, ( Sherman
Anti Trust Act legal definition of Sherman Anti Trust Act , n.d.). Also, the Sherman
Act points out that, it prohibits monopolies attempts to monopolize, or conspiracies
to monopolize. ( Sherman Anti Trust Act legal definition of Sherman Anti Trust Act ,
n.d). By blocking out their rivals, and not giving them an equal opportunity to display
the information related to the searches of the consumers, Microsoft felt this was a
violation of the Sherman Act. On another note, after reading the research
A Father s Influence In A Monster Calls By Patrick Ness
A father s influence on an adolescent plays an important role in a child s
development. An absent father can be interpreted in two ways; physically present
but not emotionally there or not being physically present. Both of these have a
negative impact on a child. A notable example of this is the unfavorable impacts
Conor experiences because of his father s non existent presence illustrated in A
Monster Calls written by Patrick Ness. The novel begins with 13 year old Conor O
Malley having a nightmare about his ill motherwho is dying of cancer. Conor is in
denial of his mother s illness practically throughout the entire novel because he was
raised solely by her. Conor s father has hardly been around ever since his parents
separated when he was... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He sat alone at the far edge of the dining hall, his food uneaten in front of him (Ness
158).
As Ness states, Conor has been anti social at school for some time now and could
care less about eating his lunch. These are both an enormous red flag for the signs
of depression. These emotions Conor is facing may have been created due to his
father s absence while maturing. This depression effect demonstrated by Conor s
actions may later result in him engaging in self harm in order to put an end it.
An additional point of note on this passage is the other unfavorable mental health
problems adolescents may encounter. Dr. Edward Kruk noted in his study, father
absent children are consistently over represented on a wide range of mental health
problems, particularly anxiety, depression, and suicide. (Kruk). This statement
confirms that the negative mental health problem, depression, Conor is enduring is
most likely because his father was not present after his parents divorced. If his father
does not make an adjustment to spending time with Conor he may begin to battle
with anxiety and thoughts of suicide. The side effect of depression Conor is
struggling with is extremely common to modern children with a non present
Analysis On Variance And Anova
3.3.5 Technique 3: Analysis of Variance (ANOVA)
Analysis of Variance, commonly known as ANOVA, is the statistical tool which is
used to determine significant variation between 2 or more means. ANOVA was
developed by the statistician Ronald Fisher in the early 1900s. ANOVA is the most
common tool used when there is a need to perform an experiment. ANOVA is used to
test general variation in any aspect of an enterprise system rather than specific
variation among means.
Consider an example of student performance. The dean of the renowned university
wants to know the reason behind the variation in the grades among graduate students.
He doubts that the root cause behind this variation is the part time jobs done by the
students. Anonymously, he... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Control charts are used to study the process variation with respect to time. Typically,
control chart has a center line, upper control limit and lower control limit, which are
abbreviated as CL, UCL and LCL respectively. If the plotted data point is above or
below the control limits (UCL or LCL) then the process is considered as an out of
control process. Also, out of control point is also an indication of special cause
variation. Special cause variation can easily be detected by using control charts and
hence control charts are used to detect special cause variation in any aspect of the
enterprise system.
Consider a case study on a manufacturing company which manufactures aluminum
pipes for water distribution system. 25 data sets were collected within 24 hours of
manufacturing operation. Individual control chart was plotted as illustrated in figure
3.6. Figure 3.5: Individual Control Chart of Pipe Cutting Machine [3.7]
It was noticed that most of the data points are within control limits except data point
19. During investigation it was noticed that after 18th data point operator was
changed. Hence there was a special cause variation which was easily detected by the
above chart.
3.4 Minimization of Variation in an Enterprise
Making robust system with flexible processes would minimize the effect of variation
in an enterprise. Let us consider the most influenced aspects, which are, process and
Recycling for Sustainability
Recycling is a method used to change waste materials into original resources to
avoid waste of potentially beneficial resources. Utilization is a key factor of modern
waste reduction and it is a substantial feature of the Reduce , Reuse , Recycle waste
hierarchy. Recycling is far more authoritative than most people are inclined to
consider. The first rule of eulogy is that everything is connected.
Sustainability is the main start of the environmental protection; it is about maintaining
health and efficiency of the natural environment as well as the social environment as
nature and society are critically interconnected. Sustainability is about families,

These enormous material consumption numbers don t incorporate the water needed

the peak in the 1980, in the substantial part due to low flush toilets.
Brands have dependable been a guarantee of quality, value and addressing personal
needs and this is the way they assemble loyalty, individuals need to reproduce
previous good experiences and brands help them to do it effectively, for example,
Nike, Apple, Sony etc. In the future, this nature of experience will depend on
helping individuals to comprehend and manage how much they consume, not just
offering pleasure, efficacy and consistency. These brands are the implications and
practices of everyday life. As they do this, not only will they convey the great
experiences we need, they will likewise help us to reduce waste, enhance our health
and be more aware of our consumptions has on the world around us. These brands

Next, this paper will justify the need of the IEEE 802 standard used in networking. Also, it will evaluate the three standard organizations including IEEE, ISO, and ANSI to determine the most important for communication technology. Finally, this paper will describe the author s position on the need for a Federal regulating body of standards such as NIST. Specifically, the focus of this WG is on topics that manage the behavior of other working groups in the O M area (e.g., manageability requirements). Equally important, it focuses on small, highly focused projects that do not warrant a separate working group, or belong to ones that have already concluded (e.g. advancement of documents on the standards track, application statements, extensions of MIB modules). (Operations and management area working group, n.d., para 3). IEEE 802 The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) decided that there was a significant need for a set of rules or standards for data to travel from one computer to another. Essentially, it decided to standardize these methods for data packets transfers by implementing a set of rules and regulations called IEEE 802 standards. Consequently, these standards help the industry by providing advantages such as low product cost, interoperability, and easy to manage standards, divided into many parts. Interestingly, these standard parts include everything from cabling to network standards. Of note, these IEEE standards affect only Local Area Networks (LAN) and Metropolitan Area Networks

The first home football game consisted of amazing performances from the band, the Pink Panthers, and had many generous promotions from the team s sponsors. The first performance of the night began at halftime. The prominent EIU marching band formed in a perfectly rounded heart around the Panther logo at the fifty yard line. Dressed in flashy black feathered hats, royal blue and black shirts, and black pants, the trumpets roared and the drummers pounded with might. Their eyes were focused on the music while the conductor firmly gave them the beat as he vigorously moved about on the stand. The flags were being twirled effortlessly by the delicately nimble hands of their holders. As the music was being beautifully executed, the gorgeous baton twirler spun and launched her baton high into the air. • 20. Cholesterol And Levels Of Cholesterol Essay Introduction:In the United States, more than 2,100 people die from cardiovascular disease each day. According to the American Heart Association, too much cholesterol in a person s blood can lead to a heart disease and stroke (1). Cholesterol is the most common sterol in animal. Plants also have sterols in their structure, however human enzyme systems can only digest animal sterols (2). Cholesterolis produced in our bodies by the liver (endogenous) or could come from the foods we eat (exogenous). Both kinds are transported to and from the cells by lipoproteins: LDL and HDL. LDL cholesterol is considered to be the bad cholesterol, since it contributes in depositing plaque in the arteries, therefore contributing to atherosclerosis. HDL, on the other hand, is considered to be the good cholesterol since it has the opposite effect; it removes the LDL cholesterol from the arteries carrying it back to the liver, therefore reducing risks of atherosclerosis. Maintaining the low levels of LDL and high levels of HDL is extremely important, as HDL is responsible for moving the cholesterol from the blood to the liver whereas LDL is the reason for the build up inside the artery therefore increasing the risk of the cardiovascular diseases. In order to assess cholesterol levels in the body, blood serum cholesterol is tested. It is recommended that total cholesterol (TC) level in an individual to be less than 200 mg/dl (desirable level). The level between 200 239 mg/dl is

However, Mesopotamian and Greek and Hellenistic Art specifically, modernized the techniques and boundaries of sculpture and figurative art. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Besides the past as a claim for complex art impling cultural prominence in societies, the present is a great representation of a society s cultural qualities. The United States population s ability to express themselves has grown the most in recent decades. Specifically in art, one can express themselves however they want, no: restrictions, limitations, or necessary guidelines. This capability to express one s self is comparable to our cultures recent stressed activism for the freedom to act without criticism. Artist s role now, is to be as personal, unique, and creative as possible. Our society is going through a change of cultural acceptance for those who feel oppressed. Art is currently about being creative and expressing emotions or ideas through a surface plane medium. However, it always was not this way. Artists and their art world, from century to century, responds to their societies attributes. Because of this, past cultures prominence can be interpreted and represented through their art. Recalling the oldest known art periods, first, the Prehistoric Art era, we can see societies from b.c. through 2500 b.c., that their cultures were advanced. From personal representations of nature and deities, these people s small ability to create different types of art shows how they were more skilled craftsman, instead of artists. Cave Paintings and other art forms represent their hunting and living styles. For example, the Women from Willendorf, can show how they expressed themselves through art but, art was not considered to be a profession in the Prehistoric Art era

One of the most important economic variables for this business is the price of input that is price of natural gas. At the same time, we need to consider the availability of production inputs and labor capital. Furthermore, we can use the theory of Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) to specify the relationship between the inflation differential of USA and Bangladesh and the exchange rate. Recall that according to PPP, the percentage change in the foreign currency s value (e) over a period should reflect the differentiable between the home inflation rate (Ih) and the foreign inflation rate (If) over that period. The U.S. inflation rate was to be 3 percent in the year 2015, while the Bangladeshi inflation rate was 6.83 percent. One of the roles given to the government is to promote economic progress by protecting the rights of individuals and allowing for the free marketeconomy of the laws of supply and demand to free take place. One epidemic that has surfaced over the years would be the The American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012. The law allows for many of the Bush taxcuts to retain while those who have a higher income are taxed at a higher rate. One of the major problems that this act of legislation causes economically is an unequal taxation of different groups based on their income. Directors Andy and Larry Wachowskihave created a very dark and crazy atmosphere. Virtually every scene is tense and full of intensity. When the violence starts, it gets poured on in spades, as in Blade, we get to watch the heroes take on hordes of enemies without breaking a sweat. Hugo Weaving, who plays a machine in human form called an Agent, is an excellent villain. I know that I am supposed to be sticking with the good guys, but for this IВЎВ¦ll make an exception. The earthquake struck with a force of 9.5 magnitude. The earthquake pushed up a small area of the South Pacific Ocean, creating a massive tsunami travelling at 200 miles per hour across the ocean causing major damage to other countries and islands like Hawaii, Japan, the Philippines as well as the entire West Coast of the United States. Tectonic Plates Chile lies almost on a plate boundary of the Nazca plate and the South American plate which is known to be continuously subducting. Deep under the ocean, where the Nazca Plate was subducting under the South American Plate, the edge of the plate was also being dragged down with the Nazca Plate. Then over time when the pressure between the plates reached a maximum, the edge of the plate flicked upwards, causing a massive earthquake and a fault line that extended over a 900 1000 kilometer stretch of the Nazca Plate. The earthquake was caused by a reverse fault, when the faults move together and the land moves upwards. The place where the earthquake occurred was in the Ring of Fire, a circular area in the Pacific Ocean where many earthquakes and volcanic eruptions constantly occur. Prediction Evacuation Seismologists have not found out a working method that can predict when the next earthquake will occur and how strong it will be. Mostly every scientist claims that anthropogenic global warming is to blame for climate change. Nevertheless, there is a small fraction of people that deny the very presence of global warming. Their arguments carry a certain amount of influence in some groups, but they lack the scientific proof for their arguments. Global warming is the escalation of Earth s average temperatures due to the effect of greenhouse gases. Such as carbon dioxide emissions from burning fossils fuels and the disforestation of our forest and jungles, which trap the heat that would eventually escape from earth back to space. This is a method of greenhouse effect. Global climate changeis already beginning to transmute the presence of life on earth. Also, climate change is transforming the landscape, the rising seas, stronger storms, increased risk of floods and droughts, higher temperatures, more heat related illnesses with in humans and the economy. • 43. Cartesian Dualism Essay My definition of Cartesian dualism is the belief of an afterlife. Believing that your soul is not the same substance as your body. Cartesian dualism consists of two parts, the mind and the body being independent, but casually interacting with one another. The mind can influence the body, and the body can affect the mind, but they are distinct in their separate positions. Descartes argues this theory by implying the nature of mind as a thinking thing being completely different from the body as a non thinking thing and that it is possible for one to exist without the other. The mind and body are both substances, substances are things that can exist alone without anything else. He explains the properties as breaking them down into primary attributes... He states For if I judge that the wax exists from the fact that I see it, clearly this same fact entails much more evidently that I myself also exist. It is possible that what I see is not really the wax; it is possible that I do not even have eyes with which to see anything. (Descartes Mediation 2) He is contradicting his delusional ideas of doubt about his existence to help understand the common sense position. There is a metaphysical connection between the mind and the body, so he does not go by what the eye sees, but more of what the soul sees beyond what is directly in front of you. He uses the third mediations to characterize what it is to be epistemic describing it as clear and distinct perception. The basis for perception and clear judgement is the evidence he used to understand an epistemic view. (Plato.Stanford.edu) Descartes belief that the mind and body interact could be seen as just an illusion, but the fact that he used his thought process and him questioning his identity to defer whether it is possible for the mind and body to be separate substances explains his perceptual experiences and how it is plausible. I think that it is an accurate theory because of the dependence on the mind and the dependence we have on the body.
