Network Coverage Based On Cell Size Essay
Heterogeneous Network The operators are using better modulation schemes [1], better coding rate,
multi antenna technique for increased throughput and efficiency. But this alone will not suffice as the
resources are limited and there are near far problems associated with a macro cell. One alternative to
increasing the throughput and quality of service is through cell split. To increase the capacity of a cell,
a large cell is divided into smaller cells with each cell having its own serving base station and serving
an area much less than that of a macro cell. A cell can split into micro, Pico and Femto cells. A micro
cell serves an area of less than 2kms with the base station having a transmit power range of 5 watts.
With further reduction in the transmit power, a cell known as Pico cell can serve an area of 100 meters
or less and is mostly used to provide coverage in buildings. A Femto cell with transmission power of
less than 200 Mw provides the least amount of coverage. Fig. 1 Network coverage based on cell size
Thus while Macro cell can provide a wider coverage, in high density areas small cells can be used for
data offloading, both indoors and outdoors. This architecture shown in Fig. 1 results in Heterogeneous
Network. Thus Het nets have been introduced in the LTE Advanced to provide increased throughput
and capacity [5]. But there are some implementation issues associated with Het Nets 1.2 Het Net

Nelson-Atkins Museum Of Modern Art Analysis
On a trip to the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art, my boyfriend, David, and I strolled through the
museum while I, being an art history major, recited to him all that I knew about certain pieces. We
observed sculptures by Auguste Rodin, works painted by Georgia O Keeffe, and busts of Roman
leaders. David was enjoying all the artwork until we reached the Contemporary art gallery upon where
viewing Mark Rothko s Untitled No. 11 made in 1963, he shook his head in anger at what he thought
was a painting far from a masterpiece. His comment was one I m sure many have said about this
particular piece and many other modern pieces of art, I could have painted that. I couldn t help to
reply, Yeah, but you didn t. David s sudden reaction upon viewing the ... Show more content on

11, but is it a good enough reason to spend millions of dollars on one of his paintings? In fact, Rothko
s 1961 painting Orange, Red, Yellow was bought for $86.9 million in May 2012 at Christie s in New
York setting a record for the abstract expressionist painter according to David Ng. However, in 2011, a
Cézanne painting, The Card Players sold for $250 million smashing the record for the highest price
paid for any artwork sold at auction (Stern). This may seem outrageous to some, but for those who are
opulent, brands are king in fine art. Names like Rothko and Pollock distinguish them from unknown
artists the same way the Coke and Pepsi brands distinguish them from other sugar water (Mayyasi).
According to the article Why is Art Expensive? , these brands, such as Rothko, Pollock, and Warhol,
retain their value and appreciate over time. As someone who does not participate in the lavish art
auctions, it s hard to understand Christie s $745 million art auction in May of 2013 as anything other
than unreasonable. Yet buyers in the art market proclaim these purchases as investments (Mayyasi).
On the other hand, in a report entitled Profit or Pleasure? Exploring the Motivations Behind Treasure
Trends , only a tenth of two thousand wealthy individuals questioned bought art as an investment,
whereas, seventy five percent purchased art to feel victorious at the auction and have cultural

Risks When Moving To College
It s a time in your life where you have to take a chance. It might set you back or lift you up where you
need to be in life. If you don t take that risk you will never know what would ve happen and you don t
want to live with that. I risked it all when I chose to come to Clark Atlanta University because it s far
from my hometown which is Darlington, South Carolina. When I moved to Atlanta I risked being
away from my family and having to adjust to a new environment.
All my life I was raised in a home with parents and my older sister. My family is very oriented. We
always do family activities together and we attend church regularly. Me and my family are really close
and have really close bond so when my sister graduated and went to college at

The Communication Model Of Communication
1. What is the transmission model of communication? Where does it come from? What does it do well
in helping us understand the process of communication in everyday life? What are its limitations? The
transmission model of communication as defined by James Carey is a process whereby messages are
transmitted or sent and distributed over distance and into space for the purpose of control. The
transmission model includes a sender on one end and a receiver on the other. In the middle is the
median that the message is being sent through. This comes from the nineteenth century from religious
origins. For example, to try to understand this model, we can think about missionaries. The
missionaries were sent from the Roman Catholic Church to other countries to spread the teaching of
Jesus in order to gain control of the people. The transmission does well in helping us understand the
efficiency, convenience, and influence/ control of communication in everyday life. The limitations if
the transmission model is that the transmission model doesn t let us understand the importance of
context that information takes on its meaning in particular times, in particular situations, with
particular people. Another one of its limitations is that the medium is neutralized and the transmission
model doesn t differentiate between different medium such as, newspapers, social media, and amber
alert on a highway reader board. Lastly, the information is homogenized. For example, all the

The Pathophysiology Of Asthma
Asthma is a common disease that affects approximately 300 million children and adults worldwide
(Arshad, S. H., Babu, K. s., 2009). It leads to rising healthcare costs and reduces the quality of life in a
person due to the restrictions that a person has depending on the type of asthma. Doctors who can treat
asthma are called Pulmonologist, and an Immunologist. It is important to know the pathophysiology,
clinical manifestation and medical management to properly treat the disease.
Pathophysiology
Asthma is a chronic disease that affects the breathing tubes that carry air in and out of the lungs.
(Arshad, S. H., Babu, K. s., 2009). Asthma is sometimes referred to as bronchial asthma. With asthma,
the airways are inflamed, therefore ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Not everybody s body responds the same to medications. Medications for asthma are categorized in
three categories: anti inflammatory, bronchodilators, and leukotriene modifiers, (Types of Asthma,
n.d.). Anti inflammatory agents, suppress inflammation. Bronchodilators relax smooth muscle
contraction which helps with the narrowing of the bronchial tubes. Leukotrienes interrupt the chemical
signaling inside the body that can lead to inflammation and constriction. One kind of anti
inflammatory is a corticosteroid. This the most potent and effective kind. A anti inflammatory that is
commonly prescribed to children is called Cromolyn Sodium and Nedocromil (Types of Asthma, n.d.).
Inhalers are also used in the treatment of asthma. Two types of inhalers are long term and quick relief.
Long term inhalers help for longer periods of time and quick relief is a in the moment type of thing.
Providers recommended decreasing being around allergens that can trigger asthma. When patients are
taking medications, sometimes they begin to feel better and show no symptoms for some time, but this
is confusing to them. They see it as oh I m better I can stop taking my medication. That is not the case
because asthma can flare up

Unfamiliar Faces From The Front Door Essay
Unfamiliar faces coming in and out from the front door. Showing darkness that peaks through when
someone walks in. To my side, by the big, dark green soft pillow I lay on, a bucket with watery colors;
purple and green, sits inside, is set aside me. It s the junk candy mommy said to eat, it s supposed to
make me feel better. It didn t.
I don t recognize anything. I look around again and realize my parents aren t anywhere in sight. Not
much I could do. So I let my eyes fall shut.
My body feels like hot sand, yet I m freezing.
Tapping on the floor plays through my ear. The sound is coming closer. I open my eyes and see me
mom walking towards me.
How you feeling, honey girl? She said running her hand across my forehead.
Mommy I feel junk. I answered very softly.
Sorry hun, she looked down. I got more medicine... candy for you. She gets up leaving me alone
again. I hear rummaging in the other room she walked into. Then I see her walking back towards me
with the colored candy. She opens the bottle of green and purple, and just the whiff of it made my
tummy turn.
I sigh. I don t know how to tell her this isn t good, however she sees what was happening to me when I
take it. Does she not notice, or care?
She hands me two of the candy and I start to chew. A chalky bitter taste burst through my mouth and I
chug them down. I look up at her and give her a slight smile.

Metallica Rips Napster Summary
Critical Response to Metallica Rips Napster by Christopher Jones
Christopher Jones article Metallica Rips Napster is in an early summary of the 2000, Metallica v.
Napster, Inc., California lawsuit. The lawsuit included the peer to peer file sharing website, Napster,
and University of Southern California, Indiana University, and Yale University. Most people don t
even think about file sharing, in this day and age it is generally an everyday behavior. It is very simple
for a document or file to be shared between friends or even strangers over the internet. However, in
April of the year 2000 the heavy metal band Metallica and the peer to peer audio file sharing website
Napster were in the center of a lawsuit that would change how online file sharing works forever.
Metallica was the first band to speak out and take action against music piracy on the internet. They
filed lawsuit in the state of California against Napster. The lawsuit also included three universities,
those being; Yale, University of Southern California, and Indiana University. While the three school
only received cease and desist letters alerting the administrators of the copyright infringement.
Metallica originally wanted one hundred thousand dollars per copyright flout, it is not specified if they
did receive that amount. However they requested that about ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Napster, Inc. lawsuit changed the way that file sharing happens. The lawsuit that included Napster and
three universities was based on copyright infringement and RICO violations. Metallica sued Napster
based on the fact that their songs were being shared for free and that a demo of their song I Disappear
was being circulated so much that it was being played on the radio. The lawsuit brought up the
question of are the creators of a product or service responsible for how it gets used? The answer to that
is an opinion but in the end of the lawsuit Metallica won and Napster had to shut down and ban 33500

The Conflict Between The Between Civilizational Blocks,...
Huntington predicted that future clashes will occur between civilizational blocks, Muslim and
Christians or Muslin and Hindu for example. However, the Lebanese and Bangladeshi cases show that
clashes occur between civilizations as shown above, but also within civilizational blocks or even
within religious groups . Before going further into Lebanon s and Bangladesh s history, a brief review
of Islam must be done. Muslims are split into two mains branches: Sunnis and Shia. The origin of this
division was a dispute right after the death of the Islam s founder, Prophet Muhammad, in 932. The
subject of the dispute is Who should lead the Muslim community? . In the whole world there is a
broad majority of Sunnis, who represents between 80 to 90% of Muslims and Shia Muslims are
representing only 10% of the Muslim population. Shia Muslims and Sunnits Muslims share many
fundamental practices and beliefs, these two religions have co exists for many centuries. However,
some ritual, theology or religious organisation triggers to sporadic fights. During many century Sunni
Muslims were marginalized, but in 80 s, we saw their emergence, in Lebanon with creation of
Hezbollah and in Irak after Sadam Hussein s fall. Lebanon is composed by approximatively 50% of
Muslims: 20% Shia and 25% of Sunnites. This country s current tensions are not opposing Christians
to Muslims, as Huntington would have predicted, but rather inside of the Muslim civilization opposing

Dismantling Stagnation Of South America
Dismantling stagnation in Mercosur
Introduction
Before the 1990s, economic integration in Latin America was overshadowed isolation mechanisms
placing barriers between neighboring countries in hopes of developing domestic growth. By the turn
of the last decade in the 20th century, more countries became increasingly interested in the potential
benefits of deeply integrating nations through cross border trading. The countries of the Southern
Cone of South America courageously took modern economic initiatives. Since then, the region has
created mix results of whether their choices have liberated the region of trade barriers or created a
fortress all on their own. In this paper I will be focusing on the customs union Mercosur by detailing
its creation, discussing the critical events which have contributed to the group s stagnation, and
assessing the group s current role in the global economy.
Background
In the 1980s, Argentina and Brazil placed their political differences aside and created a compact trade
agreement to further economic cooperation and stability for years to come. In 1985, the Declaration of
Iguaca opened up the dialogue between the two countries to pursue further integration with a
committee meeting specializing in the economic and industry sectors. The Argentina Brazil
Integration and Economic Cooperation Program (PICE) was later established in 1988 to start a more
modern approach to gradually cut out trade barriers and create a common market within the next ten

Amway in China
Amway in China (A): A New Business ModelAssignment Questions1.What are Amway s core
competencies?Amway has been a successfully growing business since 1959 due to its unique
adaptation of direct marketing. The company has now expanded into over 80 countries and has been to
some, an example of the American dream. This was what caused the tremendous growth and is what
gave Amway its most valuable asset; its distributors. Amway s distributors are all Independent
Business Owners (IBOs) because they have no legal ties to Amway other than they buy the products
directly and sign a brief code of conduct agreement. This however does not mean that IBOs are not
extremely loyal to Amway.

Amway is similar to other direct marketing companies such as Dell Computers in that it reduces
product costs to consumers by bypassing retailers. Dell is also similar to Amway because by dealing
directly with consumers it can find out exactly what the consumer needs without incurring consumer
research costs that will be passed onto the consumer. Although Amway did not invent direct marketing
it has been said that it reinvented it. Therefore Amway is unlike most companies that use direct
marketing. Amway s direct marketing design resembles a pyramid but it not however a pyramid
scheme or a ponzi scheme. A ponzi scheme is a illegal operation that promises high returns on short
term investments. It continues with investors keeping their money in the investments thinking they are
making large sums of money. News spreads to others who also invest and the amount collected
continues to grow. If a few people decide to get out they are paid in order to disguise the scheme.
Unfortunately for those who keep their money invested, they will never see any profits or perhaps
their initial investment again. This is unlike a pyramid scheme because there are no levels of entry. A
person who gets involved first does not collect more money than someone who gets in last. Pyramid
schemes are characterized by costly start up costs, requirements to purchase products with virtually no
value, promises of exponential

The Influence Of Righting Reflex On Earth
THE SCIENCE BEHIND; Why cats always land on their feet
Felines, such interesting animals, varying from a large ferocious lion to a meer house cat. These
creatures are powerful and very intelligent animals, with the occasionally clumsy cat. One of their
most used skills is their ability to leap, jump or fall and always land on their feet. They make it look so
easy. But do not be deceived, there is actually some complicated feline effort and science that goes
into their graceful tumbles and leaps.
Righting Reflex, that s the basic and simple answer. The righting Reflex is a cat s ability to almost
instantaneously turn itself towards the ground, allowing itself to almost always land on their feet, but
there always that cat who will be distracted by a bird or something. Cats have a very flexible backbone

Argumentative Essay On Pearl Harbor
December 7th, 1941, was the day 2,403 Americans lost their lives and 1,200 wounded during the
Japanese air raid, on Pearl Harbor. On this day, the US Navy lost almost the entire Pacific Fleet in the
harbor. After the attack, all the ships were either sunk or severally damaged minus the aircraft carriers.
The aircraft carriers luckily were still at sea. The total number of military personnel killed was 2,335,
including 2,008 navy personnel, 109 marines, and 218 army. Added to this were 68 civilians, making
the total 2403 people dead. 1,177 men alone were from the USS Arizona.
The attack on Pearl Harbor is something that is taught in grade school history. However, if it is being
taught correctly that s a different story. As a child, we believe everything that the teacher taught us
even if it was a lie. The story of Pearl Harbor is a horrific event that has been revealing more
information throughout the years. What was taught in school was Pearl Harbor was a surprise attack
by the Japanese. That the Japanese managed to fly into US Airspace and destroy our ships and planes
for no reason. As we research more about this particular topic, we discover that the United States was
doing a really good job keeping secrets. For example, the Japanese has a reason to attack the US.
The United States along with our allies Britain and Dutch, provoked the Japanese to attack. In 1937
Japan declared war on China which aggravated the US. The US and its Allies formed a plan and cut
off the oil supply for the Japanese military. No oil, meant no fuel for the war. By the US making the
strategic plan to cut of the oil supply, left the Japanese finding oil elsewhere. So, they planned to
invade into the Philippines and the Malaya territories. By moving into these locations with the hopes
of finding a steady source of natural resources such as oil and rubber. In order to do so, the Japanese
empire had to cripple the US military base that was 5,276 miles way. After months of planning, the
Japanese Empire put their attack in motion. After many different red flag scenarios, the Japanese
Bombers still managed to get the upper hand on us. With all of the red flags that s presented hours,
days, weeks before the attack why was the Pacific not

Hair Styles Research Paper
Searching for a new, original hair style? Brad Hestand, stylist and owner of Bzar Salon in Lawrence,
and hairstylist Macie Sanko may be able to help with a hair makeover.
I think that people are pushing limits [with their hairstyles], Sanko said. People are wanting edgy
styles now.
With the recent trends of dying hair to an unnatural style, colors as maroon, silver, purple, pink, green
ombre, and many other options, have become a hit. Additionally, Hestand noted that it is socially
acceptable now to have these eccentric hairstyles
I like doing the silver styles, because of all the variations you can do, from violet silver to blue silver,

We help clients decide on whether to go with a style or not.
One thing that is very important on deciding on whether to dye hair a wild hue is the amount of
maintenance, time, and price the style will require. Another vital factor to weigh in is the hair s
history.
The history of your hair is very important, Sanko said. Pricing varies on what is currently on the client
s hair.
Lift and tone, a technique used with lightener or bleach, is a way that stylists lighten the certain hair
pieces they would like to lighten up. At Bzar Salon, this process starts at $70. Color correction starts at
$50, while color application begins at $46.
Sanko strongly advises against bleaching hair at home, even if it is a cheaper option, as it is better to
have it done in a professional setting.
Sanko also noted that the color wheel plays a significant impact on hair. If a person s hair is blonde, it
will be easier to transform the blonde to a pastel finish, while oil slicks are great on brunette

Emily, Cody And Lucas Were The Ones At Home
When I enter the home the first thing I noticed was that only Emily, Cody and Lucas were the ones at
home. Benjamin, Logan and Drew were out with their therapist for the afternoon. Emily and Cody we
re upstairs playing but after about 5 minutes Ms. Orbach and I heard a door slamming. We went
upstairs to check on them. At some point Cody no longer wanted to play with Emily and this made
Emily very upset. Ms. Orbach told them to come downstairs and play and they are not allowed to play
upstairs by themselves.
Once they were downstairs in the living room Cody went to the dining table to color and Emily was
playing with her dolls on the floor. Lucas was moving between the two of them. Ms. Orbach and I
then began our conversation about the second parent mentor. I explained to her the reason for the

done throughout the day. It would also be someone there to help supervise the six children. Since they

help versus pushing her to do it all on her own.
She told to me, she is not the one, who said no to the second Parent Mentor, It was the Judge during

Louis XIV And The Development Of English Nationalism
In 1688 1689, England underwent a revolution that reshaped its monarchy. When James II took the
throne in 1685, the public was optimistic, but this quickly changed. The public s view of James II
went from optimistic to cynical because of the King s refusal to take action against the French. Instead
of taking action, many viewed James II as becoming like the French monarch. In conjunction with a
declining support, James II and his wife had produced a male heir in the summer of 1688, insuring
that a catholic would inherit the throne. The birth of a Catholic heir was the breaking point for the
English. The result was the English sending secret messages to Prince William of Orange, inviting him
to invade England. Marking the start of the revolution. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

feared that James II wanted to change the English government to one modeled after the French
Government. This fear escalated when James II attempted to suspend the test acts by issuing the
Declaration of Indulgence. Although this declaration was supposed to encourage religious tolerance,
many English citizens did not view it that way. They viewed it as treat to the established parliament in
England. This increased fears because many compared James II declaration to Louis XIV s acts when
he invaded the supreme legal authority of France. Because of their fear of being Frenchified, the
English invited the Prince of Orange to invade England, starting the revolution. To justify this action,
Pincus describes it best. He said, English loyalty was primarily to English law and English customs
[national identity] rather than a particular monarch. Since James had violated that law, he ceased to be
an English king and was no longer owed obedience. In the end, the Prince of Orange arrived with the
support of the majority of the English. As a result, James II abdicated and fled to France. The
Nationalist revolution of 1688 1689 had

Fetus Development
Genetics is the study of heredity and the different inherited characteristics (Dictinonary.com). All
humans are made up of cells. Each cell contains chromosomes. Chromosomes are genetic material
that determine many things about a person. For example, their height, hair color, eye color, sex, and
personality traits. Deoxyribonucleic acid is in charge of the transmission of genetic materials. A single,
cell develops into the large organs that is a human newborn infant in 266 days (Infant and Early

America´s Neoliberal Capitalism and the Economic Expansion...
America s neoliberal capitalism and the economic expansion
After the crisis of government regulation capitalism about six years from 1973 to1979, a new layout
liberal capitalism started to appear; firstly it was in Britain and the United States. In America, the new
liberal capitalism was of main features in following:
(1) Cancel the regulation of finance and business not only in domestic but also internationally,
allowing the free market rule, and realizing capital to flow freely.
(2) Privatize government services directly provide the government agencies and government workers
in the past.

Profits rise relative to the wages, as well as the family income goes to households with the highest
incomes, produced a large and growing number of money to invest, these funds want to transcend the
existing investment opportunities. All of this provides good conditions for emergence of the asset

began to appear, then its growing need a economic system, which can easily encourage the growth of
the bubble by borrowing and it was turned out that the financial system deregulated, short term capital

The third change in the new era of liberal capitalism is huge asset bubbles. During the long time

Disappearance Of Bees Essay
Background Information
Bees are disappearing because people are using harmful fertilizers. 25% of the managed bee
population has dropped since 1990. The use of these harmful pesticides can cause a hive of bees to
collapse. This is known as colony collapse disorder (CCD). The impact of bees disappearing on the
environment is not having enough food. Bees and other pollinators have a role in pollinating one out
of every three bites of food you eat. Without bees to spread seeds, many plants, including food crops,
would die off.
Neonicotinoids are most commonly used insecticide in the U.S. They are also an insecticide that kills
bees. The insecticides are applied to seeds before they are planted. They stay with the the plant as they
grow. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Since the late 1990s, beekeepers around the world have observed the mysterious and sudden
disappearance of bees, and report unusually high rates of decline in honeybee colonies. Bees do more
than just make honey! Bee transfer pollen and seeds from one flower to another, fertilizing the plant so
it can grow and produce food. Cross pollination helps at least 30 percent of the world s crops and 90%
affects our food. The sweet fruits humans eat such as, strawberries, mangoes, grapes, apples, and
bananas would not be the same taste wise as they are now. We simply couldn t live in the same world
if it weren t for the bees.
Conclusion Before we started researching this project we didn t know how important bees are to our
environment. In general, we can help solve this problem in our environment by limiting the use of
pesticides. Creating regulations and laws limiting and controlling the use of neonicotinoid and
coumaphos pesticides would greatly help the bees population. We can also reward farmers for
practices that help wild bee populations thrive, such as leaving habitat for bees in their surrounding
fields, alternating crops so bees have food all year long, and not using harmful

Unbiased And Neutral Perspectives Essay
In a world that filled with disputes and disagreements, it is somehow difficult to describe a conflicting
event in a neutral tone based on one s own judgment, typically for those historians who attempted to
examine the events occurred in the past. As a matter of fact, people s perspectives may be influenced
by many conditions such as their cultural identities, genders, religions, emotions etc. Therefore, it is
more likely that historians tend to hold biased view that may affect their tone in neutrality. However,
to what extent can historians, or more generally the people, learn the history from an unbiased and
neutral perspective? In general, as long as people equally analyze the view points from both sides and

If this event was described by an unbiased outsider, then it is more likely to be: The Koreans started a

eventually the war was ceased.
Not surprisingly that the Chinese and the North Korean began to spread the rumors that the United

Arguments Against Faux Fur
An analysis of the strengths and weaknesses found in the argument
Premise 1
Premise 1 argues that the animal fur industry should be stopped since faux fur is a better alternative to
animal fur. It claims that faux fur delivers the same benefits (it has an indistinguishable appearance
and provides greater warmth) with less environmental cost. The suppressed assumption here is that
environmental damage should be prevented where possible: this is a non controversial normative
claim that does not require further support, and is, therefore, acceptable.
The first sub premise, which asserts that faux fur can replace animal fur in terms of human use is non
controversial and may be easily accepted. The second sub premise, a causal argument that faux ...

Premise 1 is unacceptable because the author fails to adequately compare the environmental impact of
the control (animal fur) and test (faux fur) groups, and is therefore unsuccessful in arguing that faux
fur is a superior alternative. Consequently, premise 1 holds a very weak inference as to why the animal
fur industry should be stopped. Premises 2 and 3 are unacceptable since they are linked, and premise 2
lacks sufficient analysis of the test and control groups. Since the author does not compare the levels of
suffering between the test (fur industry animals) and control (non fur industry animals) groups, we are
unable to conclude that suffering would be reduced or prevented by ending the animal fur industry.
Hence, premises 2 and 3 do not support the argument that the animal fur industry should be stopped to
prevent suffering. Lastly, Premise 4 is unacceptable because it commits fallacies of relevance and
vacuity: it does not argue why the industry should be stopped, but instead proposes a method of
stopping the industry. In these ways, the argument has a very weak rational core. The author has
attempted to conceal these logical flaws with rhetorical devices including emotionally charged
language and loaded descriptions. Ultimately, however, they have committed multiple fallacies and
further undermined their claims. For these reasons, the argument should be

The Importance Of Medication Errors
Introduction Medication errors result in over 700,000 emergency department visits each year in the
United States, and nearly two thirds of these hospitalizations are due to accidental overdose (Centers
for Disease Control and Prevention, 2014). Missed doses or overdoses are one of the problems related
to medication safety (Anthony, 2015). A medication error is any act or occurrence which causes or
leads to a patient receiving inappropriate medication treatment (Potter Perry, 2014). Errors can occur
due to failure to follow procedures related to medication administration, lack of communication
between healthcare staff, deciphering illegible handwriting and underlying system factors, such as
distractions and time constraints (Potter Perry, 2014). Technological advances such as networked
computers and other innovations have been placed in hospitals to study its impact on medication
adherence; the following paper will compare and contrast these findings. First Article Summary The

Alternative Medicine For Traditional Medicine Essay
When it comes to traditional medicine, it doesn t always work and there isn t always a scientific
reason to prove it. There is no perfect medical solution in our world. When traditional medicine fails
patients, many physicians believe that prescribing alternative forms of medicine is more harmful than
not prescribing them at all, due to the supposed lack of evidence of their effectiveness. In this case,
patients have no other options for treatment. However, research has shown that there is a significant
amount of evidence that supports the effectiveness of alternative medicines. Alternative medication
therefore should be presented to these in dire need as a legitimate and potentially effective form of
treatment.
Complementary and Alternative Medicine, also known as CAM, refers to any of a range of medical
therapies that are not considered to be orthodox by the medical field. Complementary and Alternative
Medicine has been a controversial subject among multiple physicians as they debate how agreeable it
is to prescribe due to its lack of scientific backing. There have, however, been an increasing number of
physicians who are more comfortable to prescribe CAMs. There have been greater regulations for
upcoming doctors and physicians to study and be trained in a wide range of practices about alternative
medicine before being certified as doctors. Many patients have relied on CAMs for their effectiveness
due to the failure of conventional medicine and its treatment. If

Treatment of Religion and the Church in Pedro Paramo and...
Christianity has become, in over two millennia, the world s largest religion, spreading to almost every
corner of the world. Based on this fact, it does not come as much of a surprise that Juan Rulfo s 1955
Mexican novel, Pedro Paramo, and Robertson Davies 1970 Canadian one, Fifth Business, are both
largely affected by this pervasive religion. What is interesting, however, is that despite the vast
differences in culture and time, a comparison can be made of the authors treatment of Christianity and
the church in the books, which both come to similar conclusions.
The first major similarity in the books on this particular subject is that both Rulfo and Davies show

One of the major faults that Rulfo portrays of the Church in Pedro Paramo, is that it fails in its main
responsibility of providing moral standards to the people of Comala. The novel illustrates characters
that have sinned more than any other, yet show little or no guilt. Rulfo s book contains a careful listing
of the cruelties that the Paramos inflicted on the people of Comala: Rumor has it that your brother was

Paramo slaughtered so many folks after his father was murdered that he killed nearly everybody who

All of the principles written about in this book are applicable to today s society, mainly
because they re demonstrated and proven on today s adults. Whether it is social norms
(chapter 4) or the problem self control and procrastination present (chapter 6) every chapter is
applicable, and written ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This concept is dominant and obvious in Cleopatra, the Egyptian
princess who is said to have seduced her way into arguably the most power known of an
ancient woman. And it can be seen today, on as large as a scale as the united states president
being influenced to have a sex scandal with an intern (not naming anyone specifically). These
concepts highlighted by Ariely are timeless.
No economic systems are shown in this book. Rather than pick a model of Keynesian
economics, or any other system, and base his illustrations off it, Ariely instead shows basic
economic principles simplified and examined, then he makes conclusions. For example, rather
than say that Keynesian economics is the best because it includes and makes up for the fallacies
in supply and demand, Dan Ariely states that our understanding of supply and demand is

actually nonsense, then he goes on to explain why it is nonsense through his various studies
and tests.
The author is primarily attempting to inform the reader, but he is also trying to
persuade the reader. He uses examples, like the tests he did about sexual arousal, to inform the
reader, but he then gives his personal opinion on how to best negate these principles.

Argumentative Essay On Yoga
Yoga has been associated with stress. The larger the amount of stress a person has, the less likely that
person is to feel in control of themselves and their surroundings. Yoga has also been linked to a person
s health and wellbeing. During a one week experiment, a researcher did yoga once a day at 7:00 pm
for a half hour. A survey was taken twice, in hour intervals, after the yoga session was completed, at
8:30 pm and 9:30 pm. The surveys are what was used to find the data that created the results of the
experiment. One type of yoga, integrated yoga, was used throughout the week. The results concluded
yoga helps relieve stress for one hour after the session was completed, but was stressed again shortly
after that hour was finished. Different styles of yoga classes could be offered and more times could be
made available at the Elmen Center. Yoga is currently offered at 4:30 pm in the Back Alley, but more
class times could be 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm. Different styles include hot yoga, iyengar yoga, or hatha
yoga. To improve evaluations, a person could add questions about their level of stress before and after
the yoga class. These improvements will allow researchers to see if the results are true for the majority
of people.
Keywords: yoga, stress, experiment, researcher Introduction Stress is caused by excesses amount of
work put on a person. College students tend to be more stressed because of school work and the
change from living at home to all alone. Stress is defined

Essay Manipulation of Lyrics in Shakespeare s As You Like It
Manipulation of Lyrics in As You Like It
While it is a comedy of the turmoil of love and the experimentation with gender roles and identity,
William Shakespeare s As you Like It is a historical preservation of Renaissance music. The play is
fraught with spontaneous song and poetry, yet Shakespeare strategically manipulates these musical
elements. Specifically, the lyrics and poetry of the play function to establish a soundtrack and a direct
appeal to their Elizabethan audience, while providing Shakespeare with a valuable shorthand for
character development.
It is necessary to understand that music in Shakespeare s time functions as a complete renovation of
sound, voice, and function. Paul Brian emphasizes that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Here shall he see
No enemy
But winter and rough weather (1 8).
While this song obviously functions to contrast the sharp melancholy of Jacques, Long suggests its
worthwhile placement on As You Like It s imaginary soundtrack: Its subject and structure suggest a
song suitable for singing by a convivial group. It is, perhaps, a drinking song appropriate for a group
of mock foresters to sing or to enjoy as listeners (143). This incorporation of a song that fits into the
popular communal genre while countering the woeful tone of Jacques is a rather cinematic choice on
Shakespeare s part. It likens him to almost a film director who makes choices on effective musical
selections.
We also must notice Shakespeare s choice of borrowed lyrics when considering the music of the play
as a soundtrack. Much like today s film moguls, Shakespeare seeks to include familiar lyrics to attract
attention to his work. In Act 3, scene 3, Touchstone spouts a fragmented verse: O, sweet Oliver/O,
brave Oliver/Leave me not behind thee [...] (82 84).
Pattison acknowledges that this fragment belongs to a popular Renaissance poem:
Lord Oxford is credited with the authorship of the famous In peascod time [...]
(The poem) became so popular that its first line came to

  • 2. Network Coverage Based On Cell Size Essay Heterogeneous Network The operators are using better modulation schemes [1], better coding rate, multi antenna technique for increased throughput and efficiency. But this alone will not suffice as the resources are limited and there are near far problems associated with a macro cell. One alternative to increasing the throughput and quality of service is through cell split. To increase the capacity of a cell, a large cell is divided into smaller cells with each cell having its own serving base station and serving an area much less than that of a macro cell. A cell can split into micro, Pico and Femto cells. A micro cell serves an area of less than 2kms with the base station having a transmit power range of 5 watts. With further reduction in the transmit power, a cell known as Pico cell can serve an area of 100 meters or less and is mostly used to provide coverage in buildings. A Femto cell with transmission power of less than 200 Mw provides the least amount of coverage. Fig. 1 Network coverage based on cell size Thus while Macro cell can provide a wider coverage, in high density areas small cells can be used for data offloading, both indoors and outdoors. This architecture shown in Fig. 1 results in Heterogeneous Network. Thus Het nets have been introduced in the LTE Advanced to provide increased throughput and capacity [5]. But there are some implementation issues associated with Het Nets 1.2 Het Net Implementation ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Nelson-Atkins Museum Of Modern Art Analysis On a trip to the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art, my boyfriend, David, and I strolled through the museum while I, being an art history major, recited to him all that I knew about certain pieces. We observed sculptures by Auguste Rodin, works painted by Georgia O Keeffe, and busts of Roman leaders. In fact, Rothko s 1961 painting Orange, Red, Yellow was bought for $86.9 million in May 2012 at Christie s in New York setting a record for the abstract expressionist painter according to David Ng. However, in 2011, a Cézanne painting, The Card Players sold for $250 million smashing the record for the highest price paid for any artwork sold at auction (Stern). Yet buyers in the art market proclaim these purchases as investments (Mayyasi). On the other hand, in a report entitled Profit or Pleasure? • 5. The Communication Model Of Communication 1. What is the transmission model of communication? Where does it come from? What does it do well in helping us understand the process of communication in everyday life? What are its limitations? The transmission model of communication as defined by James Carey is a process whereby messages are transmitted or sent and distributed over distance and into space for the purpose of control. The transmission model includes a sender on one end and a receiver on the other. In the middle is the median that the message is being sent through. This comes from the nineteenth century from religious origins. For example, to try to understand this model, we can think about missionaries. The missionaries were sent from the Roman Catholic Church to other countries to spread the teaching of Jesus in order to gain control of the people. The transmission does well in helping us understand the efficiency, convenience, and influence/ control of communication in everyday life. The limitations if the transmission model is that the transmission model doesn t let us understand the importance of context that information takes on its meaning in particular times, in particular situations, with particular people. Another one of its limitations is that the medium is neutralized and the transmission model doesn t differentiate between different medium such as, newspapers, social media, and amber alert on a highway reader board. Huntington predicted that future clashes will occur between civilizational blocks, Muslim and Christians or Muslin and Hindu for example. However, the Lebanese and Bangladeshi cases show that clashes occur between civilizations as shown above, but also within civilizational blocks or even within religious groups . Before going further into Lebanon s and Bangladesh s history, a brief review of Islam must be done. Muslims are split into two mains branches: Sunnis and Shia. The origin of this division was a dispute right after the death of the Islam s founder, Prophet Muhammad, in 932. The subject of the dispute is Who should lead the Muslim community? . In the whole world there is a broad majority of Sunnis, who represents between 80 to 90% of Muslims and Shia Muslims are representing only 10% of the Muslim population. Shia Muslims and Sunnits Muslims share many fundamental practices and beliefs, these two religions have co exists for many centuries. However, some ritual, theology or religious organisation triggers to sporadic fights. During many century Sunni Muslims were marginalized, but in 80 s, we saw their emergence, in Lebanon with creation of Hezbollah and in Irak after Sadam Hussein s fall. In 1985, the Declaration of Iguaca opened up the dialogue between the two countries to pursue further integration with a committee meeting specializing in the economic and industry sectors. Although Amway did not invent direct marketing it has been said that it reinvented it. Therefore Amway is unlike most companies that use direct marketing. The United States along with our allies Britain and Dutch, provoked the Japanese to attack. In 1937 Japan declared war on China which aggravated the US. By the US making the strategic plan to cut of the oil supply, left the Japanese finding oil elsewhere. So, they planned to invade into the Philippines and the Malaya territories. By moving into these locations with the hopes of finding a steady source of natural resources such as oil and rubber. In order to do so, the Japanese empire had to cripple the US military base that was 5,276 miles way. After months of planning, the Japanese Empire put their attack in motion. When James II inherited the throne in 1685, the public expected James II to take action against the French monarch King Louis XIV. The English people feared King Louis XIV s would try to create a universal monarch. If Louis XIV had created a universal monarch, all other countries would have lost their independence. For the English, it would have meant the end to the national identity they all valued. Unfortunately for James II, he did not take action against France. Instead, many believed and feared that James II wanted to change the English government to one modeled after the French Government. This fear escalated when James II attempted to suspend the test acts by issuing the Declaration of Indulgence. Although this declaration was supposed to encourage religious tolerance, many English citizens did not view it that way. They viewed it as treat to the established parliament in England. This increased fears because many compared James II declaration to Louis XIV s acts when he invaded the supreme legal authority of France. Because of their fear of being Frenchified, the English invited the Prince of Orange to invade England, starting the revolution. To justify this action, Pincus describes it best. He said, English loyalty was primarily to English law and English customs [national identity] rather than a particular monarch. Since James had violated that law, he ceased to be an English king and was no longer owed obedience. In the end, the Prince of Orange arrived with the support of the majority of the English. People are dying all around me and I fear I may be next. I thought that I would write to let you know that I am fortunately well but there are many things that have been troubling me. On the first day of battle, many soldiers were sent in to the area between our land and our enemy s land, what we call no man s land . It was muddy and the tanks were unable to make it through, leaving our men vulnerable. So many men died that I began to lose hope that I could ever return back home alive. • 26. Disappearance Of Bees Essay Background Information Bees are disappearing because people are using harmful fertilizers. 25% of the managed bee population has dropped since 1990. The use of these harmful pesticides can cause a hive of bees to collapse. This is known as colony collapse disorder (CCD). The impact of bees disappearing on the environment is not having enough food. Bees and other pollinators have a role in pollinating one out of every three bites of food you eat. Without bees to spread seeds, many plants, including food crops, would die off. Neonicotinoids are most commonly used insecticide in the U.S. They are also an insecticide that kills bees. The insecticides are applied to seeds before they are planted. They stay with the the plant as they grow. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Since the late 1990s, beekeepers around the world have observed the mysterious and sudden disappearance of bees, and report unusually high rates of decline in honeybee colonies. Bees do more than just make honey! Bee transfer pollen and seeds from one flower to another, fertilizing the plant so it can grow and produce food. Cross pollination helps at least 30 percent of the world s crops and 90% affects our food. The sweet fruits humans eat such as, strawberries, mangoes, grapes, apples, and bananas would not be the same taste wise as they are now. We simply couldn t live in the same world if it weren t for the bees. Conclusion Before we started researching this project we didn t know how important bees are to our environment. In general, we can help solve this problem in our environment by limiting the use of pesticides. Creating regulations and laws limiting and controlling the use of neonicotinoid and coumaphos pesticides would greatly help the bees population. We can also reward farmers for practices that help wild bee populations thrive, such as leaving habitat for bees in their surrounding fields, alternating crops so bees have food all year long, and not using harmful ... Arguments Against Faux Fur An analysis of the strengths and weaknesses found in the argument Premise 1 Premise 1 argues that the animal fur industry should be stopped since faux fur is a better alternative to animal fur. It claims that faux fur delivers the same benefits (it has an indistinguishable appearance and provides greater warmth) with less environmental cost. The suppressed assumption here is that environmental damage should be prevented where possible: this is a non controversial normative claim that does not require further support, and is, therefore, acceptable. The first sub premise, which asserts that faux fur can replace animal fur in terms of human use is non controversial and may be easily accepted. The second sub premise, a causal argument that faux ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Premise 1 is unacceptable because the author fails to adequately compare the environmental impact of the control (animal fur) and test (faux fur) groups, and is therefore unsuccessful in arguing that faux fur is a superior alternative. Consequently, premise 1 holds a very weak inference as to why the animal fur industry should be stopped. Premises 2 and 3 are unacceptable since they are linked, and premise 2 lacks sufficient analysis of the test and control groups. Since the author does not compare the levels of suffering between the test (fur industry animals) and control (non fur industry animals) groups, we are unable to conclude that suffering would be reduced or prevented by ending the animal fur industry. Hence, premises 2 and 3 do not support the argument that the animal fur industry should be stopped to prevent suffering. Lastly, Premise 4 is unacceptable because it commits fallacies of relevance and vacuity: it does not argue why the industry should be stopped, but instead proposes a method of stopping the industry. In these ways, the argument has a very weak rational core. The author has attempted to conceal these logical flaws with rhetorical devices including emotionally charged language and loaded descriptions. The Importance Of Medication Errors Introduction Medication errors result in over 700,000 emergency department visits each year in the United States, and nearly two thirds of these hospitalizations are due to accidental overdose (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2014). Missed doses or overdoses are one of the problems related to medication safety (Anthony, 2015). A medication error is any act or occurrence which causes or leads to a patient receiving inappropriate medication treatment (Potter Perry, 2014). Errors can occur due to failure to follow procedures related to medication administration, lack of communication between healthcare staff, deciphering illegible handwriting and underlying system factors, such as distractions and time constraints (Potter Perry, 2014). Technological advances such as networked computers and other innovations have been placed in hospitals to study its impact on medication adherence; the following paper will compare and contrast these findings. There is no perfect medical solution in our world. When traditional medicine fails patients, many physicians believe that prescribing alternative forms of medicine is more harmful than not prescribing them at all, due to the supposed lack of evidence of their effectiveness. In this case, patients have no other options for treatment. However, research has shown that there is a significant amount of evidence that supports the effectiveness of alternative medicines. Alternative medication therefore should be presented to these in dire need as a legitimate and potentially effective form of treatment. Complementary and Alternative Medicine, also known as CAM, refers to any of a range of medical therapies that are not considered to be orthodox by the medical field. Complementary and Alternative Medicine has been a controversial subject among multiple physicians as they debate how agreeable it is to prescribe due to its lack of scientific backing. There have, however, been an increasing number of physicians who are more comfortable to prescribe CAMs. There have been greater regulations for upcoming doctors and physicians to study and be trained in a wide range of practices about alternative medicine before being certified as doctors. What is interesting, however, is that despite the vast differences in culture and time, a comparison can be made of the authors treatment of Christianity and the church in the books, which both come to similar conclusions. The play is fraught with spontaneous song and poetry, yet Shakespeare strategically manipulates these musical elements. Specifically, the lyrics and poetry of the play function to establish a soundtrack and a direct appeal to their Elizabethan audience, while providing Shakespeare with a valuable shorthand for character development. It is, perhaps, a drinking song appropriate for a group of mock foresters to sing or to enjoy as listeners (143). This incorporation of a song that fits into the popular communal genre while countering the woeful tone of Jacques is a rather cinematic choice on Shakespeare s part. It likens him to almost a film director who makes choices on effective musical selections.
