Termination Of Field Practicum At Menninger s Clinic Essay
Written Statement from Leander Burgess Regarding Termination of Field Practicum at Menninger s
Clinic I, Leander Burgess, am an Advanced Standing Social Work Student at the University of
Houston, Graduate College of Social Work. During the summer of 2016 I interviewed with Menninger
s Clinic for a Field Placement and was accepted. Menninger s Clinic contacted me approximately a
week later and asked me to interview at the Gathering Place, a psycho social clubhouse for the
chronically mentally ill. I completed the interview with Hans Meyer the Licensed Clinical Social
Worker at the Gathering Place. A couple of days afterwards I contacted Mr. Meyer and expressed my
concerns about being able to gain the necessary experience needed as an Advance Clinical student.
Mr. Meyer stated that he would look into it since this was something new that Menninger was trying
by assigning an Advanced Student to the clubhouse. Just before summer ended, I again reached out to
Menninger and expressed my concerns but did not receive a reply. I attended orientation on the 1st of
August, where once again I expressed my concerns that my level of clinical experience would not
match that of my fellow classmates who were also assigned to Menninger Clinic. I was asked to give
it a try since this was a new program they were trying out. Their plans were for me to sit in on the
groups at the Gathering Place and then when I felt comfortable to begin facilitating some of the groups
on my own. The groups where

Theodore Herzl s Influence On Der Judenstaat
Generally accepted to have been the father of modern Zionism, (Wharton, 75) Theodore Herzl wrote
in his groundbreaking piece 1896 Der Judenstaat:
Wherever they live in perceptible numbers, they are more or less persecuted. Their equality before the
law, granted by statute, has become practically a dead letter. They are debarred from filling even
moderately high positions, either in the army, or in any public or private capacity. And attempts are
made to thrust them out of business also: Don t buy from Jews! (Herzl, II. The Jewish Question).
Rather than seeking sympathy, Herzl prefaced his work with these anti Semitic acts in history as a
categorical reason for an autonomous Der Judenstaat, which is literally State of the Jews in German,
and began the movement now known as Zionism. It is interesting to note, however, that anti Semitism,
which may be defined as the prejudice, discrimination and hatred of Jews as a national, ethnic,
religious or racial group, (Anti Semitism) permeated history for millennia before Zionism emerged;
yet, many scholars regard it as the predominant impetus for the rise of the Zionist movement. Anti
Semitism has been an ever pervasive aspect of history since before the birth of Christianity, ... Show

Chemical Synthesis Essay
The TG DSC MS results show that the gas phases play an important role in the mechanism behind the
sol gel autocombustion process. Different fuel oxidant ratios will promote the formation of different
gas components, which will significantly affect the composition and structure of the final product. To
optimize the fuel oxidant ratio, reagents with different fuel oxidant ratios (0.8:1, 0.9:1, 1:1, 1.1:1, and
1.2:1) were dissolved in deionized water to obtain the sols. The dried gels were then activated by
combustion at a temperature of 300 °C based on the TG DSC MS results. The XRD patterns obtained
for the synthesized CoCrCuNiAl HEAs powders are shown in Figure 1d. Oxide phase was detected in
the combustion product of the gels with a fuel oxidant ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(i) different metal oxides are reduced to metals by the reducing gases and then form HEAs as the
building blocks. (ii) different metal oxides form complex multicomponent oxides, followed by in situ
reduction to HEAs by the reducing gases. According to thermodynamics, it is impossible to obtain
metallic aluminum and chromium in the autocombustion process because Al2O3 and Cr2O3 cannot be
reduced to metals by any type of the gases formed in the combustion. Therefore, the synthesis of
CoCrCuNiAl HEAs is through the second route. Recently, (Co,Cu,Mg,Ni,Zn)O high entropy oxides
(HEOs) were synthesized by pyrolyzing nitrates of the individual metals according to the report of
Sarkar et al.25 Similar with HEAs, HEOs containing five or more metals in equiatomic amounts will
be formed because of the high mixing entropy. Hence, the oxide phase in the XRD patterns of the
combustion product with fuel oxidant ratios less than 1:1 is likely to be (Co,Cr,Cu,Ni,Al)O HEO. In
the HEOs, the metallic elements are bonded together and ordered in thermodynamics to form the
structure of A B C D E O (where A, B, C, D, and E denote the metallic elements and O represents
oxygen), as shown in Figure 1f. There is always an intermediate anion separating neighboring cation
lattice sites, and no single component metal oxide phases exist in the (Co,Cr,Cu,Ni,Al)O HEOs, so
that the reduction of Al3+ and Cr3+ can

Bottom of Form
Correct :
To increase revenue, firms look to increase price or quantity, as price multiplied by quantity equals
total revenue. Purely competitive firms can sell as much as they want at the market price. Adding
additional units of the product does not result in a change in the market price. Therefore, since purely
competitive firms do not influence price, they increase total revenue by increasing quantity.

The Dalai Lama, a Leader in Exile Essay
Whilst examining the world s leaders, there is no one who compares to the Dalai Lama, who is the
religious and political leader of Tibet. The Dalai Lama, (Tenzin Gyatso) had a customary childhood
until the age of three, when Regent, one of the senior Lama s, had a vision that was conclusive to
having Tenzin Gyatso as the 14th reincarnation of the Dalai Lama. After years of schooling in religion
and worldly affairs, he became Head of the State of Tibet at the age of 16, but was later forced into
exile by the Chinese government in when Tibet was invaded. Despite all the hardship he has been

the consequences. In 1959, The Dalai Lama was forced into exile by the Chinese, but that did not end
his fight for the liberation of his people. About 100,000 individuals followed him into exile as he
established a democratically based alternative government at Dharamsala in Punjab, India, aptly
known as Little Lhasa . It has cultural and educational establishments and serves as a capital in exile
for 140,000 Tibetan refugees. In the past decade, the Dalai Lama has tried repeatedly to negotiate with
the Chinese. Currently his pleas for help have been ignored by the United Nations and other world
organizations. Nations of the world seem to have forgotten the plight of the Tibetan people. Despite
the fact that other nation s actions have forsaken the Tibetan people; the quest for Tibetan
independence has been overshadowed by the resilient magnet of Chinese commercialism. The Dalai
Lama, at age 75 is still the most important freedom fighter for the people of Tibet. The Dalai Lama is
also known for his writings, such as Freedom in Exile and The Art of Happiness. In 1989, the Dalai

Linville Valley Fire Case Study
Nestled deep in the mountains of Western North Carolina, the Linville Gorge is a federally designated
wilderness area that is part of Pisgah National Forest. This unique slice of southern Appalachia is
managed by the Grandfather Ranger District and is located in the Blue Ridge Escarpment near the
town of Marion, NC. To the east, Linville Gorge is bordered by Jonas Ridge, and the slopes of Linville
Mountain form the western border. The two steep sides create a terrain that is extremely rugged and
rocky, which would seemingly make it difficult for vegetation to establish communities on the canyon
walls. However, this is not the case, as the gorge has very dense populations of hardwoods, conifers,
and understory shrubs. The intimidating topography of the Linville Gorge Wilderness area enabled it

The fire began as the result of an out of control campfire, and because of high wind and drought
conditions which resulted in low fuel moisture spread relatively quickly for an upland fire in the
southeastern United States, although not to the scale of western wildfires. Even though the 2000
Linville Gorge fire was mainly a surface fire, the fire burned 4,000 hectares of wilderness area, and
forced local management agencies to start paying more attention to upland ecosystems that were not
previously thought to be fire dependent. Considering the magnitude of the fire, it was fortunate that no
human lives or homes were lost in the inferno. Vegetative studies show that Mountain Laurel (Kalmia
latifolia), an evergreen shrub, reproduced much faster than other understory species (Dumas, Neufeld,
Fisk, 2007). This is attributed to its ability to resprout following a fire. The Linville Gorge Fire has
been significant in shaping Southeastern fire mitigation in that it gave foresters an opportunity to study
oak pine forests that had not seen fire for over 50

The third company that was observed is St. Joseph s Hospital. This is a hospital that specializes in

How Does The Hatchet Change Throughout The Novel

survive in the Canadian wilderness, and the the nature around him can end his life if he is not careful.
Brian runs into many animals and his character dramatically changes throughout the novel, which
changes his view on life and his situation. In the beginning of the story, Brian is a whiner and near the
middle and end of the story, Brian changes and starts to realize that he is part of nature and he adapts
to his surroundings!
In the beginning of the story, Brian is given a Hatchet and put on a Cessna 406 Bush plane. He

plane the pilot has a heart attack and the plane crashes in the canadian wilderness. All Brian does is

Stereotypes In The 1950s Era
The stereotypes of a teenager haven t changed much over the years; nevertheless, the fads have. The
fun, lively 1950s era brought poodle skirts, jukeboxes, hot rods, and Elvis Presley; things we don t
normally see unless it is Halloween. Teenagers danced at sock hops, where there was never a night
upbeat dance moves such as the twist and the jive weren t danced. The seemingly large predicaments
of the world today were insignificant back then. Life, as it seems, was simpler. Today, many people
swoon over the idea of living in the 1950s era; however, I would prefer to live in the time period that I
live in now because of fashion, schooling, and technology.
Fashion in the 1950s and now are disparate. Back then, most mothers sewed clothes for their children,
and fabric cost roughly $1 per yard. Girls didn t regularly buy clothes from the department store
because their mothers had time to sew their modish outfits. Girls were required to wear dresses or
skirts to school because pants weren t befitting enough at the time for women. Poodle skirts, as well as
sweaters, were quite popular. Girls wore nylons with their attire, but nylons are made differently now.
Nylons back then were 2, basically full leg long socks, whereas, today they are sewn together as one.
They wore belts to hold the nylons up, and they had a seam up the back. Popular hairstyles back then
included the back comb, and embellishing flowers around the bun. As the role of a woman in society

Features Of Cubism And How It Represented Through The...
Between the nineteenth and twentieth century, with the development of new technology diverse new
art style was defined by artists in various genres such as architect, painter and poet. Especially, in the
beginning of the twentieth century in Europe, an avangarde art movement had started and spread
rapidly across the world. The movement was called Cubism, which was described as the most
innovative and influential visual art style at that time, because the idea of Cubism was aside from a
fixed idea of realism after the Renaissance and it has opened a new era of art. Accordingly, nowadays,
some people said that the art of the twentieth century would be totally different without effect of
Cubism. This essay will explain the feature of cubism and how it represented through the artwork of
cubist.
First of all, one of the characteristics of Cubism is that the cubist made a painting from diverse view
points. Instead of looking at one side of the object, changed viewpoint differently. Accordingly, the
cubist artworks are expressed the plurality of view than the one point perspective to the screen
perspective. Andrew Glassner also wrote that Cubist painters explored the process of creating images
from multiple, simultaneous points of view and Erika Gonzaiez claim that Cubism involved looking at
the same object from a variety of different perspectives and showing all these perspectives at the exact
same time . At the same time, the cubist painters ignored the idea that painting

The Pros And Cons Of The Prohibition Era
The Prohibition Era, 1920 1933, was a time of turmoil and conflict as the ban of alcohol brought with
it the growth of organized crime in United States. The nationwide prohibition of alcohol was
introduced to solve social issues and most significantly, lower crime and corruption. Initially
established due to nationwide Temperance movements stating that banning alcohol would decrease
crime, however the banning of alcohol led to increased organized crime. Organized crime in America
grew during Prohibition due to the mafia, gangs and the mob utilizing the public demand for alcohol
for their own economic gain, bootlegging alcohol, using extortion and violence, all in is larger
quantities than was present before the 18th Amendment was passed. A Public demand for alcohol and
lack of enforcement of the 18th Amendment led to such an unsuccessful movement and eventually the

An Excerpt From The NovelPrayer To Aphrodite
An excerpt from the novel: Prayer to Aphrodite . Balmy evenings were spent strolling along the
seashore, occasionally finding some secluded cove where they could make love undisturbed, or
sometimes the couple would just gaze up at the clear night sky as they lay down together on the sands.
On one occasion two days before the end of their holiday Amy tried to count the stars. You ll never do
it, said Clare, there are more stars in heaven than all the grains of sand on all the world s beaches.

It began to rain rather suddenly and Amy, wondering where Clare had disappeared, was about to go
and look for her, when she appeared at that moment, soaked to the skin. What on earth were you doing
all that time? she said curiously. Were you praying for the rain to stop? It says here that this temple is
supposed to be dedicated to Apollo the Sun God she laughed, waving her guide book in the air. Oh,
no, it wasn t that particular deity I was praying to, Clare said with a secretive smile. On another lazy
afternoon by the pool, Clare, lounging beneath a sunshade, composed a short poem in blank verse. She
felt that writing rhyming verse was sometimes too arduous a task. The poem was, as were all her
poems, written for Rachel. She scribbled it down on the back of a postcard; deliberating afterwards
whether to actually send it, even sticking a stamp on it and writing Rachel s address underneath:
Forsaken You have forsaken me; I, who have loved you. But you will never admit to it. You just say I
m busy when I call, In the forlorn hope that one day, You can find it in your heart to forgive. Was my
love a crime for which I shall be eternally punished? Should I say something, lie to you perhaps?
Deny my love, tell you it was all a dreadful mistake, And can I have our friendship back? Grovel at
your feet and say I m not a lesbian. The long leisurely days on the sun kissed isle passed rapidly and
Clare forgot about the postcard

How Did Korai Influence Ancient Greek Culture
Two elemental pillars of ancient Greek culture included religion and burial or death. The Archaic
Greeks cultivated an interest in monumentalizing and preserving statues in stone that shaped both how
they paid their respects to the gods and how they honored their dead. A popular style of this stone
creation, in the period between 640 BC and 470 BC, was korai statues (Barringer 150). These Archaic
figures are significant because of their stylization, functions in sanctuaries, and role in the mortuary
sphere. Korai statues were exclusively young females that embodied maidens and represented the
idealization that ancient Greeks had of youth. Similarly, statues of young men, called kouroi, also
depicted youthfulness. However, kouroi ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Negative Effects Of War
War has many negative affects on people. Someone always suffers a consequence of war and it doesn t
end well. Not only are soldiers affected by war, but also the civilians they try to protect.
In the poems; Memorial Tablet written by Siegfried Sassoon and In Flanders Fields written by John
McCrae, we can see the first negative impact war has. Soldiers are robbed by death of the ability to
live a normal life.
In the book Catching Falling Stars by Karen McCombie, and the T.V series M.A.S.H produced by
Larry Gelbart we see how war has negative effects on the safety of civilians.

In Flanders Fields the soldiers spend their lives fighting for something they believe in but they never
get to see the results of what they ve fought so hard to accomplish. In Memorial Tablet, the soldier
knew that there was more to his life than dying in a war and he s mad because he never gets to
experience the greater side of life which was taken away. Though there are two perspectives that the
soldiers had, they both ended up dying before getting to enjoy life. This proves that the negative
affects of war on soldiers are that they don t get to live a normal life because it s taken away from
them by death.
Another way that war has negative effects is on the safety of civilians. During war, airmen tend to
drop bombs on civilians without thinking of the damage they can cause. In Catching Faling stars , two
children suffer the affects of air raids. They were living in London during a time of war, so they knew
to expect danger. A siren rang warning them of an air raid so they hid in their basement with their
neighbour but it wasn t enough to protect them. When the bomb landed and exploded, they were all
separated from each other. One of the children suffered from a temporary hearing loss and many scars,
while the other sibling also had many scars. Unfortunately their neighbour died. Their mother thought
it would be safer if they were sent to the country as evacuees, but even

Bacteria And The Human Body
Bacteria plays an important role in our bodies and in the environment. In the human body, bacteria
helps us remain healthy by fighting off infections, aiding in digestion, reinforcing intestinal barrier
effects and enhancing intestinal cell health and growth. Not only is bacteria important for our health,
but they are also important for the Earth s environment. In these environments, bacteria plays a pivotal
role in helping to keep organisms healthy and to help maintain the balance and control that are needed
in these environments. In this research paper, I am going to talk about what bacteria and the many
benefits that it offers to every living species that is living on thee Earth.

Inside of bacteria, there are many cells within them that each form a specific function that helps to aid
bacteria. One of these components is the basal body.
The basal body helps to anchor the flagellum and allow it to rotate. The capsule is the layer that is
located outside of the cell wall and not all bacteria come with this feature. The cell wall is a membrane
that is located outside of the cell membrane. Another feature is the bacteria s DNA (Deoxyribonucleic
Acid). The DNA of bacteria contains all of the information that bacteria needs for growth and
development and it is located in the cytoplasm.
Cytoplasm is a substance that is located inside of the plasma membrane. From the use of the bacteria s
cytoplasm, proteins, amino acids, sugars, nucleotides, salts, vitamins, enzymes, DNA, ribosomes, and
the bacteria s internal structure which are all important to the bacteria s survival floats around the cell

through liquid substances. Not all types of bacteria have a flagellum. Only rod shaped bacteria or
spiral shaped bacteria have a flagellum.
Bacteria spherical (cocci) does not have a flagellum rendering them incapable of movement. Some
types of bacteria not only have just one flagellum, in fact some types of bacteria may have multiple

Opportunities and Threats facing the U.S Airline Industry
The health of the overall U.S airline industry is still tenuous in spite of the passenger traffic volumes
returning to pre 9/11 levels. A survey estimated that from 2001 through 2003, the US airline industry
reported to have lost $23.2 billion dollars, compounded by an additional $1.6 billion in the first
quarter of 2004. This $24.8 billion shortfall exceeds the total profits earned over the entire six year
period 1995 2000
Drastic changes in the Economic, Political/legal and technological segment of airline s external
environment contributed to some of the major looses seen by the industry. The key factors that heavily
contributed to the loses include

A recent survey of the airline economic health suggested that even though the industry hoped to return
to some degree of stability, if not profitability, yet new costs beyond the airlines control wiped out
recent efforts to cut costs and achieve new efficiencies. Record high oil prices and nation s on going
war on terrorism have presented new barriers to improving the industry s financial health.
Another cost factor that is heavily contributing to the overall cost is the Aviation Security
Infrastructure fee (ASIF). This fee is enforced after Congress passed the Aviation and Transportation
Security Act (ATSA) which necessitated additional security at the airports. This fee is expected to rise
to $750million in 2005 from $315 million in 2000. This fee is in additional to the additional federal
security mandates imposed since 9/11. The industry argues that impact of federal security mandate and
foregone revenue totals $2.8 billion per year.
The statute that directs FAA to extend war risk insurance to U.S airlines and air cargo carriers is set to
expire on August 31st of this year. Since there is no commercial market for this type of insurance, the
industry could obtain coverage for only limited utility that could potentially cost the airline industry
several hundred millions of dollars annually in

Water And Water Pollution In The Movie Erin Brockovich
The movie Erin Brockovich is based on actual events that took place in Hinkley California, which is a
small town that was effected (and continues to be effected) by the highly toxic pollutant, hexavalent
chromium also known as chromium 6 . This toxic pollutant leaked into the drinking water used by the
residents in the small town. This leakage occurred as the result of routine operations from a plant
owned by the company Pacific Gas Electric (PG E). Hexavalent chromium was an additive used by
the company PG E for rust prevention in their water cooling systems. The company would dump
waste water containing hexavalent chromium into nearby ponds that were not lined, which then
infiltrated the local water supply. The dumping occurred many years before the law suit however the
company failed to tell the local water board of the contamination until years later and then covered
their previous and continued knowledge of the pollution. This company was a multi billion dollar
company who then lied to the residents of Hinkley to protect their profits. PG E denied that the
pollution was causing any of the severe illnesses being experienced by the residents and even worse,
stated false information that led the residents to believe that the company was compassionate about the
issues they were experiencing and they paid to help with medical costs related to the illnesses. In
addition, PG E was offering large amounts of money to buy the homes of the residents in an attempt to

Essay about Phobias Explained
Many people claim to be afraid of spiders, but probably not to the degree of 37 year old Mary Muffet
of Seattle. Mary went to many lengths to be spider free, including sealing her windows and doors with
duct tape, spraying her car with bug killer, and putting every single piece of washed and ironed
clothing into its own sealed plastic bag. She wasn t just afraid of spiders; she had arachnophobia, a
phobia, not to be confused with a simple fear. Phobias are not simple; they are complex in both their
origin and diagnosis, with many types that people suffer from and any number of treatments exist to
date.

What causes a phobia?
There is currently insufficient research in the field of phobias to determine a definite, clear cause.
What is known is that phobias are common in children and do not represent an abnormality. Phobias
can start in childhood or adulthood. Some people have suddenly become terrified of things they ve
been doing for years, somewhat like a flight attendant that suddenly begins to have panic attacks on
her 500th flight. In most cases, phobias are thought to branch from a confrontation with the feared
object or situation. Six of every ten persons who suffer phobias are able to remember when the fear
crisis occurred for the first time, i.e., when the sensation of panic became attached to the place or
situation where it first happened (Masci, 2002, p.2). Most phobias do not interfere with an individual s
normal functioning to the point of seeking treatment. There is usually no family history of mental
illness or of the same phobia. For example, a person with claustrophobia (fear of being in small
enclosed spaces such as an elevator) does not necessarily have a relative that is mentally ill or is also
claustrophobic. Most simple phobias develop in childhood and eventually go away. Ones that remain
rarely go away without treatment. There are theories that some phobias occur more naturally than
others. It is thought that they are somehow built into the brain. Many experiments with monkeys
display this particular theory. Shown videos of a

Paraphilia Essay
There are many weird and disturbing things that people do all around the world, to be specific, these
certain things are done for pure sexual arousal. A paraphilia is a condition in which a person s sexual
arousal and gratification depend on fantasizing about and engaging in sexual behavior that is atypical
and extreme. I will go through multiple types of Paraphilias and explain what they are, how they affect
the public and my view towards the philia. To begin, the most common paraphilia is Fetishism. This
involves the non use of nonliving objects as a source of sexual arousal. Some examples of nonliving
objects would be: Women s panties, Bras, or High Heeled shoes. This paraphilia seems to be the least
severe out of all the others as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Examples of this are having sex with children who are not of age, touching children inappropriately,
who are not of age and child pornography. This is the most severe philia in my opinion and it holds
great consequences. One can be charged with numerous CSC charges, spend life on the sex offenders
list, go to prison for many years, or even be killed because they are a pedophile. Today, there are
roughly 400,000 registered sex offenders in the united states (80 100,000 are unregistered). And 89%
of child sexual assault cases involve people known to the child. My opinion is that these people need
to be locked up for max sentences according to the law, not life in prison as some would want. These
people commit horrible crimes to young children and need to pay for the physical and emotional
damage that has left children scarred for life.
The most disturbing of them all would have to be Necrophilia. This is the sexual attraction to dead
human bodies. Things like touching and having sex with the bodies of the deceased are examples.
There are only a dozen or so documented cases; However, it happens more than we would think.
Having intercoarse with dead human bodies is a crime in most countries and the punishment in the
United States is a felony serving no more than five years in prison. My opinion of this paraphilia is
that it takes a very, very sick mind to have intercourse with the remains of a human, it s disrespectful
to the dead and who knows what

In I Got You, Jamie Lake describes her characters in ways that make the above statement real. When
Jake meets Benjamin for the first time he describes him as hot...tall and strapping, [in] a body suit
barely contain[ing] the young man s perfectly well built body. (266) The description of Benjamin
makes two things evident, 1. Even in the gay community there is a certain amount of pressure put on
looks and 2. Even in the gay community looks are one of the most important things first looked at.
On the other hand, Jake was a view entirely different. On page 31 he was described as wiry and pale
and then on page 136 his sister described him as skin and bones, signifying his more skinny and
fragile appearance. Although Benjamin fit the bill for how men, gay men specifically, are suppose to
look. Jake, on the other hand was the complete opposite of what gay men want their partners to look
like. Jake s appearance goes against what gay men are suppose to look like specifically, some could
even say that Jake was underdeveloped. For example, in the article, A Gay man and a Straight Woman
Talk body Image, Stern, the gay man, specifically says that what gay men are looking for is Not bony
and gangly! In the book this is exactly how Jake is described. In today s society you are suppose to
take a sort of pride in how you looked and Jake wasn t described as the best candidate to showcase
that. We have been programmed to think about looks first without even getting to know a person.

Drugs And The Treatment Of Alcohol Withdrawal Syndrome Essay
Has anyone ever known an alcoholic? Perhaps someone you love such as a spouse, a family member,
or a friend? Have you ever wished there was a magic pill that could cure Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD)
and Alcohol Withdrawal Syndrome (AWS)? Researchers have discovered medications that could cure
this disorder. In the article Baclofen in the Treatment of Alcohol Withdrawal Syndrome: A
Comparative Study vs Diazepam , authors Giovanni Addolorato, MD, Lorenzo Leggio, MD, Ludovico
Abenavoli, MD, Roberta Agabio, MD, Fabio Caputo, MD, Esmeralda Capristo, MD, Giancarlo
Colombo, PhD, Gian Luigi Gessa, MD, and Giovanni Gasbarrini, MD discuss the benefits of using
medication to aide in the side effects of AWS. Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD) is a debilitating disease
that should be treated using the medications Baclofen or Diazepam because research has shown that
both medications significantly reduce anxiety, tremors, shakes, and agitation which are symptoms of
alcohol withdrawal symptoms (AWS) (baclofen.org, 2006). AUD is a pattern of uncontrollable alcohol
consumption. It causes a person s life to be preoccupied with alcohol, and if not consumed, it causes
AWS. It can range from mild to severe, but a mild case can escalate and lead to serious problems. It is
important to treat even a mild case as early as possible (mayoclinic.org, 2015).
Alcoholism affects vital organs in the human body such as the liver, the heart and the brain. The liver
is affected by alcohol after years of

Kaiser Chiefs Pros And Cons
Let s summarise: from 2004 onward Kaiser Chiefs aimed for the stars with hits such as Oh My God
and Ruby . Unfortunately, the experimental release of 2011 s album The Future is Medieval, for which
fans could pick a ten song track list out of 23 options, turned out to be one step too far, causing the
band to fall back into obscurity. Its follow up, Education, Education, Education and War should have
meant a return to former glory, but failed. Now it is time for a new album, the band uses their position
in the shadows of the industry to reinvent themselves.
The differences between the previous and current Kaiser Chiefs sound could not have been any bigger.
The working class rock this quintet used to produced has vanished completely, making way for
synthpop. Instead of their guitar oriented sound, the lads from Leeds are inspired by disco, trap, house,
pop and 80s. This is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
High Society still contains some of the Britpop influences Ricky Wilson and fellow band members
have never been able to resist, but the singer s falsetto displays a new approach nonetheless, resulting
in the most disappointing track on the record. Good Clean Fun contains a larger role for the guitar as
well, but here the indie rock loses its place in the spotlight to ska and reggae.
Just like frontman Wilson has announced before, his social political lyrics on Education, Education,
Education and War have been replaced by love songs with lines such as There s a hole in my soul that
could only be filled by you . Sunday Morning is the final remainder of the typical British every day
life more commonly described in Kaiser Chiefs songs. Finally, the most entertaining tune on Stay
Together is Press Rewind . Not only does the band make fun of itself lyrically ( This is pop music. We

Why Do Chinese Courts Accept Precedents And The Judicial...
TO WHAT EXTENT, DO CHINESE COURTS ACCEPT PRECEDENTS AS A REFERENCE IN
JUDICIAL DECISION MAKING?
In the course of globalization, there is a trend for legal systems in common law jurisdiction and civil
law jurisdiction to learn and absorb the advantages from each other. In general, common law countries
now have more codifications of statutes than before whereas civil law countries have become more
active in promoting the use of precedents. As for the People Republic of China (hereafter China or the
people republic ), it has gone through years of debates regarding whether it should adopt the Doctrine
of Precedent, which refer to case law system in common law jurisdiction, as a civil law countries.
Despite the fact that many scholars ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to Black s Law Dictionary (1990), a precedent is an adjudged case or decision of a court
which is regarded as an example or authority for a subsequent case or a latter question of law on
identical or similar issues. However, this has not clearly explained how the precedent regime used in
common law jurisdiction is different from one that a state from statute law jurisdiction may use. As
Goodhart points out, the real differences in the two systems are the binding effect of decided cases
(Doctrine of Precedent). It would be too complex to explain the whole rule of binding precedent here
and, for the sake of the latter discussion, we only need to know one aspect: while precedent cases
create no legal obligation for a civil law judge to follow, a judge from common law countries is
obligated to follow a precedent judgment and the legal reasoning in it made by a superior court or a
court in the same level if a subsequence case contains identical facts and issues.
Based on this difference, some observers claim that China does not have a formal binding precedent
system and also denies the value of the established precedent regime in current China. Admittedly,
there is no legal recognition granting to an establishment of case law system in China, but this does

The Effects Of My Life
Cancer, a failing gallbladder, crohns disease, I stare at the wall rummaging through all the problems I
could be facing in this moment. The surge of pain in the upper right quadrant of my abdomen strikes
me unexpectedly, throwing me into a spiraling episode of assumption and google searches. The only
results yielded by these searches were virtually every terminal disease that had this symptom. It was
now that I realized this could be a potentially life altering circumstance.
All my life I had never had a physical impairment; therefore, you can imagine when I began feeling
even the slightest amount of pain I felt like I was going mad. My trips to the gastroenterologist started
in my sophomore year. I quickly grew tired of showing up ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I lay on the stretcher in tears being rolled away from my family, silently screaming, and bursting with
a terrible anxiety like never before. We are going to place this mask over your nose and mouth, just
breathe in and out as normal, says the anesthesiologist. The air I was forced to breathe in smelt
explicitly like nail polish remover. I woke up with an atrocious headache and some immobility. Once
again not a thing was wrong with me according to the results which angered me to no end. How come
my life is still being consumed by this pain and yet my results say I m perfectly healthy? My last
major and only test left that my gastroenterologist had to offer me was a colonoscopy. Nobody wants
to have to experience one of these, especially at the prime age of 16. Anyhow if this meant yielding
another possible reason for this ghastly pain then you bet I was going to be right back on that stretcher
within the next few months. I had my better days, even some no pain at all; but the days I did have it
were some of the worst days of my life. The colonoscopy brought nothing more than another
disappointing sheet of doctor words, and a few pictures of my intestines (which were kind of
interesting so at least if I had any perk to this situation it was this). The doctors work was done and
there was no more for him to try so I guess it was back to google

Mo Yan s Red Sorghum
The novel of Red Sorghum written by Nobel prize winning Chinese novelist Guan Moye or more
commonly known as Mo Yan. This story speaks of the Second Sino Japanese War, which was a
military conflict between The Republic of China, and the Empire of Japan during the years of 1937
1945. Red Sorghum follows the massacres unleashed by the Imperialist Japanese forces in the Gaomi
province of Northern China. The Story is based off an outlaw named Yu Zhan ao and his life partner
Dai. The story also follows their son by the name of Dougan. The rest of the story concentrates on
flashbacks of the two protagonist, which developes into a story why they have come to be the way
they are. For example Dai s family had wed her off when she was just 16 years of age, in hopes they
would receive a healthy mule. But much of the story has to tell of Yu Zhan ao s guerilla ... Show more

As well as how hard life must have been for those fighting to survive everyday, never knowing which
day could be their last. Although the book was placed in the magic realism genre, I have visualized
what life would have been like for those living at this desperate and ruthless time. The brutality
pictured in this story has left a stamp in my head about how tough war can be, and the effects it will
have on people for the rest of their lives. The book also taught me that a hero can be disguised as
anybody, I would recommend this story to all students who take any form of Asian history. Due to the
fact that it will show them by detail how similar the two Asian countries are as well as how life is still
like that in places all over the world. The shared history of China and Japan dates back to centuries
ago and even today the impacts of the wars fought and the advancements each country has made can
be felt, and will be felt for the next several

The Advantages And Dilemmas Of Child Care For Children
Tamai Butler
Coach Beale
Senior Capstone
March , 9 , 2018 One of the biggest decisions parents have to make after choosing to have a child
involves deciding who will care for that child, especially during the early developmental years.
Parents choose to resolve this difficult dilemma in many ways. Some families choose to use full time
childcare, while in other families one parent stays or works at home for all or part of the time. In other
families, a parent chooses to leave the workforce completely in order to become the primary caregiver.
Finding appropriate and affordable child care is often a challenge. There are different options available
in different places, and at many different price points although all options are expensive. Each care
option comes with its own advantages and disadvantages. It can be confusing ... Show more content

Nonetheless, my parents friends would routinely leave their children under my care when we got
together with other families for play dates and tea parties they obviously saw something in me that I
grew aware of more strongly as I got older. If I was always naturally going to gravitate into a role
which involved caring for children, I get huge satisfaction from working with people in general, old or
young. As much as my current role is to do with how much I love to care for children, there are other
important aspects involved in my career path. It is not just communicating well with children that is a
vital skill but also how you communicate with the people that are most important to that child. As a
nanny you learn skills which enable you to help children to develop into happy, healthy little people.
To be able to show parents how to develop their own confidence and skills to care for their children
and see them build the closest of connections, must be one of the best feelings you can get as a

Berlese Funnel Lab Report
Abstract
In our Berlese Funnel lab we sampled two different types of forest, deciduous and coniferous, both on
our school campus. We set up multiple funnels in our classrooms with heat directly above them. After
collecting leaf litter from our designated forest we placed them in a funnels above beakers of alcohol.
We let them sit for two nights in a row and while in class checked for different organisms under
microscopes. We calculated the different amount of species and how many there were of each.
Introduction:
Antonio Berlese was an Italian entomologist. He worked on pest insects (arthropods), usually those of
fruit trees. Arthropods are the most successful animals on the planet. They make up over three fourths

Economic Analysis of Unemployment and its Impact on GDP in Developed Countries Paul
Kuechenmeister Econ 4331W August 3rd, 2014 Introduction This study examines the impact of
unemployment rates to a developed economies growth rate. This paper will be built off of the most
distinguished idea addressing the relation of economic growth and unemployment, Okun s Law .
Okun s Law that assesses the relation between unemployment and economic growth is one of linearity
. Okun s Law is the idea that there is a natural level of unemployment and when the level of
unemployment is above the natural rate, economic growth suffers. This paper aims prove correlation
between the level of unemployment and level of economic growth in developed countries. This
dissertation will utilize a linear regression model for a cross country regression analysis. The type of

separating out structural, frictional and cyclical unemployment would be ideal in running a regression,
the data is simply not present for the subset of countries used in this analysis. This study examines 25
developed countries unemployment rate per capita and GDP growth rate per capita from 1991 to 2012.

  • 2. Termination Of Field Practicum At Menninger s Clinic Essay Written Statement from Leander Burgess Regarding Termination of Field Practicum at Menninger s Clinic I, Leander Burgess, am an Advanced Standing Social Work Student at the University of Houston, Graduate College of Social Work. During the summer of 2016 I interviewed with Menninger s Clinic for a Field Placement and was accepted. Menninger s Clinic contacted me approximately a week later and asked me to interview at the Gathering Place, a psycho social clubhouse for the chronically mentally ill. I completed the interview with Hans Meyer the Licensed Clinical Social Worker at the Gathering Place. A couple of days afterwards I contacted Mr. Meyer and expressed my concerns about being able to gain the necessary experience needed as an Advance Clinical student. Mr. Meyer stated that he would look into it since this was something new that Menninger was trying by assigning an Advanced Student to the clubhouse. Just before summer ended, I again reached out to Menninger and expressed my concerns but did not receive a reply. I attended orientation on the 1st of August, where once again I expressed my concerns that my level of clinical experience would not match that of my fellow classmates who were also assigned to Menninger Clinic. I was asked to give it a try since this was a new program they were trying out. Their plans were for me to sit in on the groups at the Gathering Place and then when I felt comfortable to begin facilitating some of the groups on my own. The groups where ... • 3. Theodore Herzl s Influence On Der Judenstaat Generally accepted to have been the father of modern Zionism, (Wharton, 75) Theodore Herzl wrote in his groundbreaking piece 1896 Der Judenstaat: Wherever they live in perceptible numbers, they are more or less persecuted. Their equality before the law, granted by statute, has become practically a dead letter. They are debarred from filling even moderately high positions, either in the army, or in any public or private capacity. And attempts are made to thrust them out of business also: Don t buy from Jews! (Herzl, II. The Jewish Question). Rather than seeking sympathy, Herzl prefaced his work with these anti Semitic acts in history as a categorical reason for an autonomous Der Judenstaat, which is literally State of the Jews in German, and began the movement now known as Zionism. It is interesting to note, however, that anti Semitism, which may be defined as the prejudice, discrimination and hatred of Jews as a national, ethnic, religious or racial group, (Anti Semitism) permeated history for millennia before Zionism emerged; yet, many scholars regard it as the predominant impetus for the rise of the Zionist movement. • 4. Chemical Synthesis Essay The TG DSC MS results show that the gas phases play an important role in the mechanism behind the sol gel autocombustion process. Different fuel oxidant ratios will promote the formation of different gas components, which will significantly affect the composition and structure of the final product. To optimize the fuel oxidant ratio, reagents with different fuel oxidant ratios (0.8:1, 0.9:1, 1:1, 1.1:1, and 1.2:1) were dissolved in deionized water to obtain the sols. The dried gels were then activated by combustion at a temperature of 300 °C based on the TG DSC MS results. The XRD patterns obtained for the synthesized CoCrCuNiAl HEAs powders are shown in Figure 1d. Oxide phase was detected in the combustion product of the gels with a fuel oxidant ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... (i) different metal oxides are reduced to metals by the reducing gases and then form HEAs as the building blocks. (ii) different metal oxides form complex multicomponent oxides, followed by in situ reduction to HEAs by the reducing gases. According to thermodynamics, it is impossible to obtain metallic aluminum and chromium in the autocombustion process because Al2O3 and Cr2O3 cannot be reduced to metals by any type of the gases formed in the combustion. Therefore, the synthesis of CoCrCuNiAl HEAs is through the second route. Recently, (Co,Cu,Mg,Ni,Zn)O high entropy oxides (HEOs) were synthesized by pyrolyzing nitrates of the individual metals according to the report of Sarkar et al.25 Similar with HEAs, HEOs containing five or more metals in equiatomic amounts will be formed because of the high mixing entropy. Hence, the oxide phase in the XRD patterns of the combustion product with fuel oxidant ratios less than 1:1 is likely to be (Co,Cr,Cu,Ni,Al)O HEO. In the HEOs, the metallic elements are bonded together and ordered in thermodynamics to form the structure of A B C D E O (where A, B, C, D, and E denote the metallic elements and O represents oxygen), as shown in Figure 1f. There is always an intermediate anion separating neighboring cation lattice sites, and no single component metal oxide phases exist in the (Co,Cr,Cu,Ni,Al)O HEOs, so that the reduction of Al3+ and Cr3+ can ... Considering the magnitude of the fire, it was fortunate that no human lives or homes were lost in the inferno. Vegetative studies show that Mountain Laurel (Kalmia latifolia), an evergreen shrub, reproduced much faster than other understory species (Dumas, Neufeld, Fisk, 2007). Fashion in the 1950s and now are disparate. Back then, most mothers sewed clothes for their children, and fabric cost roughly $1 per yard. Between the nineteenth and twentieth century, with the development of new technology diverse new art style was defined by artists in various genres such as architect, painter and poet. Balmy evenings were spent strolling along the seashore, occasionally finding some secluded cove where they could make love undisturbed, or sometimes the couple would just gaze up at the clear night sky as they lay down together on the sands. On one occasion two days before the end of their holiday Amy tried to count the stars. You ll never do it, said Clare, there are more stars in heaven than all the grains of sand on all the world s beaches. Clever Clogs who told you that? It was my Uncle Bernard. He was into Astronomy Stephen s got his old telescope. Who knows? He could be up there somewhere looking down at us right now they say there s a new star in Heaven every time ... It began to rain rather suddenly and Amy, wondering where Clare had disappeared, was about to go and look for her, when she appeared at that moment, soaked to the skin. What on earth were you doing all that time? she said curiously. Were you praying for the rain to stop? It says here that this temple is supposed to be dedicated to Apollo the Sun God she laughed, waving her guide book in the air. Oh, no, it wasn t that particular deity I was praying to, Clare said with a secretive smile. On another lazy afternoon by the pool, Clare, lounging beneath a sunshade, composed a short poem in blank verse. She felt that writing rhyming verse was sometimes too arduous a task. The poem was, as were all her poems, written for Rachel. She scribbled it down on the back of a postcard; deliberating afterwards whether to actually send it, even sticking a stamp on it and writing Rachel s address underneath: Forsaken You have forsaken me; I, who have loved you. But you will never admit to it. You just say I m busy when I call, In the forlorn hope that one day, You can find it in your heart to forgive. Was my love a crime for which I shall be eternally punished? Should I say something, lie to you perhaps? Deny my love, tell you it was all a dreadful mistake, And can I have our friendship back? Grovel at your feet and say I m not a lesbian. The long leisurely days on the sun kissed isle passed rapidly and Clare forgot about the postcard ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 23. How Did Korai Influence Ancient Greek Culture Two elemental pillars of ancient Greek culture included religion and burial or death. The Archaic Greeks cultivated an interest in monumentalizing and preserving statues in stone that shaped both how they paid their respects to the gods and how they honored their dead. A popular style of this stone creation, in the period between 640 BC and 470 BC, was korai statues (Barringer 150). These Archaic figures are significant because of their stylization, functions in sanctuaries, and role in the mortuary sphere. Korai statues were exclusively young females that embodied maidens and represented the idealization that ancient Greeks had of youth. Similarly, statues of young men, called kouroi, also depicted youthfulness. However, kouroi ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Though there are two perspectives that the soldiers had, they both ended up dying before getting to enjoy life. This proves that the negative affects of war on soldiers are that they don t get to live a normal life because it s taken away from them by death. Another way that war has negative effects is on the safety of civilians. During war, airmen tend to drop bombs on civilians without thinking of the damage they can cause. A siren rang warning them of an air raid so they hid in their basement with their neighbour but it wasn t enough to protect them. Another cost factor that is heavily contributing to the overall cost is the Aviation Security Infrastructure fee (ASIF). There is currently insufficient research in the field of phobias to determine a definite, clear cause. What is known is that phobias are common in children and do not represent an abnormality. Phobias can start in childhood or adulthood. Some people have suddenly become terrified of things they ve been doing for years, somewhat like a flight attendant that suddenly begins to have panic attacks on her 500th flight. In most cases, phobias are thought to branch from a confrontation with the feared object or situation. Six of every ten persons who suffer phobias are able to remember when the fear crisis occurred for the first time, i.e., when the sensation of panic became attached to the place or situation where it first happened (Masci, 2002, p.2). Most phobias do not interfere with an individual s normal functioning to the point of seeking treatment. There is usually no family history of mental illness or of the same phobia. For example, a person with claustrophobia (fear of being in small enclosed spaces such as an elevator) does not necessarily have a relative that is mentally ill or is also claustrophobic. Most simple phobias develop in childhood and eventually go away. Ones that remain rarely go away without treatment. There are theories that some phobias occur more naturally than others. Today, there are roughly 400,000 registered sex offenders in the united states (80 100,000 are unregistered). And 89% of child sexual assault cases involve people known to the child. My opinion is that these people need to be locked up for max sentences according to the law, not life in prison as some would want. These people commit horrible crimes to young children and need to pay for the physical and emotional damage that has left children scarred for life. The most disturbing of them all would have to be Necrophilia. This is the sexual attraction to dead human bodies. Things like touching and having sex with the bodies of the deceased are examples. There are only a dozen or so documented cases; However, it happens more than we would think. Having intercoarse with dead human bodies is a crime in most countries and the punishment in the United States is a felony serving no more than five years in prison. Its follow up, Education, Education, Education and War should have meant a return to former glory, but failed. Now it is time for a new album, the band uses their position in the shadows of the industry to reinvent themselves. The differences between the previous and current Kaiser Chiefs sound could not have been any bigger. The working class rock this quintet used to produced has vanished completely, making way for synthpop. Instead of their guitar oriented sound, the lads from Leeds are inspired by disco, trap, house, pop and 80s. This is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... High Society still contains some of the Britpop influences Ricky Wilson and fellow band members have never been able to resist, but the singer s falsetto displays a new approach nonetheless, resulting in the most disappointing track on the record. Good Clean Fun contains a larger role for the guitar as well, but here the indie rock loses its place in the spotlight to ska and reggae. Just like frontman Wilson has announced before, his social political lyrics on Education, Education, Education and War have been replaced by love songs with lines such as There s a hole in my soul that could only be filled by you . Sunday Morning is the final remainder of the typical British every day life more commonly described in Kaiser Chiefs songs. Finally, the most entertaining tune on Stay Together is Press Rewind . Not only does the band make fun of itself lyrically ( This is pop music. We re writing and recording pop music ), musically they surprisingly rise to Daft Punk kind of ... • 43. Why Do Chinese Courts Accept Precedents And The Judicial... TO WHAT EXTENT, DO CHINESE COURTS ACCEPT PRECEDENTS AS A REFERENCE IN JUDICIAL DECISION MAKING? In the course of globalization, there is a trend for legal systems in common law jurisdiction and civil law jurisdiction to learn and absorb the advantages from each other. In general, common law countries now have more codifications of statutes than before whereas civil law countries have become more active in promoting the use of precedents. As for the People Republic of China (hereafter China or the people republic ), it has gone through years of debates regarding whether it should adopt the Doctrine of Precedent, which refer to case law system in common law jurisdiction, as a civil law countries. Despite the fact that many scholars ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... According to Black s Law Dictionary (1990), a precedent is an adjudged case or decision of a court which is regarded as an example or authority for a subsequent case or a latter question of law on identical or similar issues. However, this has not clearly explained how the precedent regime used in common law jurisdiction is different from one that a state from statute law jurisdiction may use. As Goodhart points out, the real differences in the two systems are the binding effect of decided cases (Doctrine of Precedent). It would be too complex to explain the whole rule of binding precedent here and, for the sake of the latter discussion, we only need to know one aspect: while precedent cases create no legal obligation for a civil law judge to follow, a judge from common law countries is obligated to follow a precedent judgment and the legal reasoning in it made by a superior court or a court in the same level if a subsequence case contains identical facts and issues. Based on this difference, some observers claim that China does not have a formal binding precedent system and also denies the value of the established precedent regime in current China. Admittedly, there is no legal recognition granting to an establishment of case law system in China, but this does ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 44. The Effects Of My Life Cancer, a failing gallbladder, crohns disease, I stare at the wall rummaging through all the problems I could be facing in this moment. The surge of pain in the upper right quadrant of my abdomen strikes me unexpectedly, throwing me into a spiraling episode of assumption and google searches. The only results yielded by these searches were virtually every terminal disease that had this symptom. It was now that I realized this could be a potentially life altering circumstance. All my life I had never had a physical impairment; therefore, you can imagine when I began feeling even the slightest amount of pain I felt like I was going mad. My trips to the gastroenterologist started in my sophomore year. I quickly grew tired of showing up ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I lay on the stretcher in tears being rolled away from my family, silently screaming, and bursting with a terrible anxiety like never before. We are going to place this mask over your nose and mouth, just breathe in and out as normal, says the anesthesiologist. The air I was forced to breathe in smelt explicitly like nail polish remover. I woke up with an atrocious headache and some immobility. Once again not a thing was wrong with me according to the results which angered me to no end. How come my life is still being consumed by this pain and yet my results say I m perfectly healthy? My last major and only test left that my gastroenterologist had to offer me was a colonoscopy. Nobody wants to have to experience one of these, especially at the prime age of 16. Anyhow if this meant yielding another possible reason for this ghastly pain then you bet I was going to be right back on that stretcher within the next few months. I had my better days, even some no pain at all; but the days I did have it were some of the worst days of my life. The colonoscopy brought nothing more than another disappointing sheet of doctor words, and a few pictures of my intestines (which were kind of interesting so at least if I had any perk to this situation it was this). The doctors work was done and there was no more for him to try so I guess it was back to google ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Although the book was placed in the magic realism genre, I have visualized what life would have been like for those living at this desperate and ruthless time. The brutality pictured in this story has left a stamp in my head about how tough war can be, and the effects it will have on people for the rest of their lives. The book also taught me that a hero can be disguised as anybody, I would recommend this story to all students who take any form of Asian history. Due to the fact that it will show them by detail how similar the two Asian countries are as well as how life is still like that in places all over the world. The shared history of China and Japan dates back to centuries ago and even today the impacts of the wars fought and the advancements each country has made can be felt, and will be felt for the next several ... • 46. The Advantages And Dilemmas Of Child Care For Children Tamai Butler Coach Beale Senior Capstone March , 9 , 2018 One of the biggest decisions parents have to make after choosing to have a child involves deciding who will care for that child, especially during the early developmental years. Parents choose to resolve this difficult dilemma in many ways. Some families choose to use full time childcare, while in other families one parent stays or works at home for all or part of the time. In other families, a parent chooses to leave the workforce completely in order to become the primary caregiver. Finding appropriate and affordable child care is often a challenge. There are different options available in different places, and at many different price points although all options are expensive. Each care option comes with its own advantages and disadvantages. It can be confusing ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Nonetheless, my parents friends would routinely leave their children under my care when we got together with other families for play dates and tea parties they obviously saw something in me that I grew aware of more strongly as I got older. If I was always naturally going to gravitate into a role which involved caring for children, I get huge satisfaction from working with people in general, old or young. As much as my current role is to do with how much I love to care for children, there are other important aspects involved in my career path. It is not just communicating well with children that is a vital skill but also how you communicate with the people that are most important to that child. As a nanny you learn skills which enable you to help children to develop into happy, healthy little people. To be able to show parents how to develop their own confidence and skills to care for their children and see them build the closest of connections, must be one of the best feelings you can get as a ... • 47. Berlese Funnel Lab Report Abstract In our Berlese Funnel lab we sampled two different types of forest, deciduous and coniferous, both on our school campus. We set up multiple funnels in our classrooms with heat directly above them. After collecting leaf litter from our designated forest we placed them in a funnels above beakers of alcohol. We let them sit for two nights in a row and while in class checked for different organisms under microscopes. We calculated the different amount of species and how many there were of each. Introduction: Antonio Berlese was an Italian entomologist. He worked on pest insects (arthropods), usually those of fruit trees. Arthropods are the most successful animals on the planet.
