Education Of A School s Physical Education Program
education in a school system equally. Looking at it from this standpoint, we can say physical
education will have meaning when all of these factors are contributed and put together. We have to
work together to implement physical education in the schools, but it will all be worth it in the long run
(France, 2011, p.51). Staff, as stated from the article written by Huberty, is a big part of a school s
physical education program. Most of the participants and staff from this study believe physical activity
is important, but limited because of the amount of homework given, pressure from peers, and the lack
of ability to perform at home because of limited equipment. I believe all of these factors are important
because this is something very ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Taking into consideration those factors and learning to differentiate lessons for those students is very
important for success and building of a physical education program. The most important part about a
physical education lesson is so each and every student is participating to his or her fullest and best
ability, while also learning something. Whether or not a lesson has to be differentiated or adapted, they
should all be learning (Ebbeck, 2015, p. 54). Saving the best for last, obesity. According to schools in
Texas and Governor Rick Perry, these schools will be participating in physical education to reduce the
beginning of diabetes. Since America is considered overweight, they did not think there was a better
way to hopefully decrease obesity than to incorporate more physical education in to schools.
Kindergarten through fifth grade graders are required to exert for thirty minutes during PE or
structured recess, which students will begin this fall (Obesity, 2007, p.1). This also goes along with the
taking away of recesses. We should not be taking away things, which benefit our students lives.
Overall, physical education courses can help a students overall well being and health. This is the goal
they aim to pursue at these Texas schools. They also are requiring mandatory testing based upon levels
of attendance, meal

Cognitive Neuron
Cognitive neuroscience is the study of human mind and brain. Therefore, its role is based on the
inference of raw observations that is brain scans. This is because brain scans have the appearance of
physical objects that can be seen and touched. It tempts us to think that we are seeing the raw reality in
brain scans. However, it is a seductive fallacy. The inferential measurement of the brain activity is
actually electroencephalography (EEG) as in positron emission tomography (PET) and other scanning
tools. Therefore, the EEG makes a raw observation of the brain activity of cognition. Neurons make
ten thousand connections and even the input branches of a single neuron may compute information.
Measuring the electrical activity of single neurons is only a tiny sample of a very complex ... Show

There a diverse of neurons and out of that many integrate and fire neuron is focused. This neuron is
known to be a classical neuron that accepts input from other nerve cells through its dendrites. The
dendrites branches are with graded membrane potentials. The voltages across the membrane of the
dendrites can have its continuous values. The graded dendritic potentials add up and if the total
voltage over a brief time interval exceeds about 50mV, they trigger a fast travelling spike or action
potential in the axon of the nerve cell (neuron).
The neuron is to send its signal by firing spikes that is by sending action potentials from the cell body
down the axon to the terminal buttons. At the terminals, a neurochemical is released to diffuse across
the small synaptic gap. Then it triggers a postsynaptic potential in the neighboring neuron.
2.
Action potential is a brief fluctuation in membrane potential caused by the rapid opening and closing
of the voltage gated ion channels which is known as the spike of neuron, nerve impulse or discharge.
The action potential sweep like a wave along axons to transfer information from one neuron to the
other in the nervous system.

Elvis Presley s Influence On African American Culture
In the 1950 s and 1960 s, Rock N Roll made a steady influential climb into the blossoming generations
norm. Elvis Presley, The King of Rock, debuted his first number one hit song Heartbreak Hotel and it
climbed steadily to the top of the charts as the number one song in February of 1956. When Elvis
popularity first grew, it sparked outrage through the previous generations in fears that his music would
intertwine cultures. In the 1950s and 1960s, Rock N Roll was classified as African American music
and those listeners who do not fit that class, would be frowned upon. Mr. Presley was a Nashville
native, who sang hard driving rockabilly, Rock N Roll dance songs and ballads, and laid a foundation
for other rock musicians to follow.
Elvis unique fashion sense influenced younger generations through the years to dress their snazziest,
grease their hair in a 50 s fashion, and influenced how they interact with each other. Elvis was a part
of the reason that the youthful generation blossomed away from the typical conservative ways that the
previous generations encouraged, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

of style that music has blossomed into what it is today. Elvis not only influenced younger generations,

person that Elvis strongly influenced, was Barry White. Barry White was serving 4 months in a
correctional facility for stealing tires when he was inspired by Elvis Presley and his music to become a
musician. It s a good thing Barry decided to never give up. On Monday, March 24th, 1958, Elvis
Presley was drafted into the United States Army. Private Presley had already risen to fame and didn t

Russian Democracy Case Study
Russia s Interference In the 2016 American presidential election, Russia hacked into the voting
system, and skewed the votes in favor of Donald Trump. In 2013 there were records of President
Trump talking about how he has started to gain ties with people that were high up in the Russian
government. Well I ve done a lot of business with the Russians. They re smart and they re tough.
(Horwitz, 2017) this was stated in an interview with David Letterman. And for a while President
Trump, over tweets, talked a lot about how many similar ideas he and Putin had with each other.
While Barack Obama was president he put up a few sanctions on Russia, to keep their economy in
check without having to start a war, because America found out that Russia ... Show more content on

That is until federal agents found out that Trumps foreign policy adviser, George Papadopoulos, had
been lying to them (Ward, 2017). Papadopoulos repeatedly told the F.B.I. that he wasn t in any contact
with Russia during the 2016 election. To this day he was apparently still contacting Russia because
someone there said that they would go and tell him some secrets about Hillary Clinton s emails and
secrets (Waldman, 2017). The F.B.I. eventually got enough evidence on him to arrest him on July
27th. According to Vox.com Papadopoulos originally pleaded guilty to the charges, but did not
formally announce this until October 5th. And even after the formal plea a special council member,
Robert Mueller, somehow got it the court to keep silent because he didn t want the President s
reputation to be damaged (Ward, 2017). Now that it has been uncovered everybody is aware that the
foreign policy adviser that Trump had hand picked, went and lied to the F.B.I. and had direct contact
with Russian higher ups. During the late part of October Paul Manafort, and Rick Gates were put
under house arrest. While the F.B.I. was investigating just what had happened during the 2016 election
they found out the Paul Manafort had 3 passport all with different numbers, a fake email, and a phone
that couldn t be traced because it was under a completely different name. While the F.B.I. was diving

Aromatherapy Research Paper
Aromatherapy is the practice of using the volatile oils from plants for therapeutic wellbeing. Used by
many ancient cultures, with the first discovery dating back more than 6000 years ago in Iraq. The
name aromatherapy was created by the French chemist Rene Maurice Gattefosse (1881 1950) whilst
studying and working in his family perfumery business. Similar in nature to herbs, they have complex
chemical components that can stimulate the body to trigger a healing response. These essential oils
can be utilised in massage, inhalations, compresses, added to baths and used for toxic free cleaning.
Chakra Balancing originating from ancient Indian traditions, the chakras are the basic energy centres
of the body. Derived from a Sanskrit word that means wheel . there are 7 main chakras which are
aligned vertically from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. The chakras help to circulate the
vital life force energy throughout our bodies and each zone correlates with different areas of the body.
When any of these energy portals are blocked it will affect the smooth flow of energy through the
body and can present as emotional, spiritual or physical disease.

13 Reasons Why Stranger Things
Chili davis once said, Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional. Almost everyone goes
through ups and downs in their lives and often people change how they see the world because of it.
The 3 Netflix shows 13 Reasons Why, Stranger Things, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and the
Powaqqatsi movie, directed by Godfrey Reggio, help explain how and if all people lose a sense of
innocence to grow up. In the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why, Clay Jensen is a shy high school student
who receives tapes from Hannah Baker, a girl at his school who he was in love with, about why she
committed suicide. There are thirteen tapes and each one is dedicated to a person who had to do with
her suicide. The tapes are passed around to each person involved; ... Show more content on

Kimmy gets kidnapped as a young girl by Reverend Richard Wayne Gary Wayne and is thrown in a
bunker with 4 other ladies. The show begins when Kimmy and her bunkermates are found and rescued
in Durnsville, Indiana, fifteen years later. Kimmy then decides to jump into the world she has missed
out on and moves to New York City. There she meets her landlord, Lillian Kaushtupper, and her
roommate, Titus Andromedon. She soon gains a job as a nanny for a rich family on the Upper East
Side and begins her adventure into adulthood. As Kimmy experiences new things and grows as a
person, she maintains her small town purity that she enters New York City with. In the film
Powaqqatsi, there are multiple scenes and symbols that reflect a similar idea. There s one specific
scene where there are several adults carrying hay and doing physical labor. Kids play at their feet,
seemingly untouched by the need to work and suffer in their circumstance. This relates to Kimmy
because in one scene in the fourth episode of the Season 1, the girls in the bunker don t have a mirror
so as they age and change, another bunkermate will verbally describe what the other looks like. This is
significant because in reality, that s a very depressing thought; they can t see themselves because they
are trapped in a bunker. Kimmy still manages to make something positive out of it and make the best
of her circumstance, just like the kids in Powaqqatsi. Kimmy shows us that one can still mature
without being forced to give up one s innocence and positive

Can Healthy Individuals Improve Their Hydration Status
Can healthy individuals improve their hydration status by drinking alkaline mineralized water, which
has been claimed to positively effect blood and urine? The popularity of water bottles like Core and
Essentia has been on the rise. These options are thought to be healthier because of their high alkalinity,
which is a pH above 7, and mineral content which includes calcium, bicarbonate, magnesium, and
potassium. This type of water is specifically targeted to athletes and workout gurus who want to
improve performance through improving their hydration status. Although alkaline water has been said
to help with digestion, prevent and even cure diseases, there is more research on it s effect on

Supplementation of Acqua Lete (Bicarbonate Calcic Mineral Water) improves hydration status in
athletes after short term anaerobic exercise. Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition,
9(35), 1 7. Retrieved March 31, 2017, from https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3423013/.
This study tests the differences between bicarbonate calcic mineral water (Acqua Lete) and a
minimally mineralized water. The differences assessed were based off of acid base balance, total body
water, muscle thickness and urinary markers of hydration including specific urine gravity. Aqua Lete
mineral water is high in calcium, magnesium, and bicarbonate and low in sodium and potassium.
Eighty eight male athletes who swam or ran 4 5 hours per week volunteered to participate, and were
randomly divided into two groups. A two week study period for both groups included no training and
following a diet without supplementation of minerals. Both groups underwent two experimental trials.
Cycling without hydration was first performed by both groups. The same cycling trial was repeated
after one week of controlled hydration, which consisted of group A drinking 1.5 L per day of a very
low mineral content water while group B had 1.5 L per day of Acqua Lete water. Physical
examinations were performed at rest before exercise, and included body temperature, bioimpedance
analysis for total body weight, extracellular water, intracellular water, muscular ultrasound for
detection of muscular size,

The Existence Of The Mind And The Brain Essay
They Identity theory is a creation from the main philosophical branch Materialism established as a
response to development of psychology and its correlation to the physical sciences in the mid 20th
century. The doctrine essentially proposes that types (or kinds, or classes) of mental states (M) are
identical with types (or kinds, or classes) of physical states (P) such that M=P. Advocates of this
theory propose that this assertion is a dependent element in regards to the nature of the mind and the
brain; it makes no effort to illuminate the meaning of mental terms and thus differs from a semantic
thesis like logical behaviorism (ex: pain means physiological state X). When questioning whether
mental states are the same as physical states, or discrete from one another, one must be clear as to
whether the question applies to concrete particulars (e.g., individual instances of pain occurring in
particular subjects at particular times) or to the kind (of state or event) under which such concrete
particulars fall. More specifically, one must clearly define the differences between the terms type and
token to better understand their correlating theories. Simply put, the distinction between type and
token boils down to specifics versus generalities. A type is intended to describe a group of objects
which all share particular features. A token is an explicit sample of a type. Type is the broad category
where a token is a tangible sample of the concept. To demonstrate, a

Virginia Woolf Two Cafeterias
Two Cafeterias , by Virginia Woolf, was written showing an underlying message of how different men
and woman are treated in this culture. Using words, descriptions, and tones Woolf expresses to the
reader how insignificant woman in this day are made to feel. Woolf shows throughout the entire piece
that the men of this society are treated to nothing less than invariably memorable luncheon parties
while woman are downgraded to dinner in the dining room. By showing the different standards in
which society holds men and woman during something as simple as a meal, Woolf undeniably
succeeds in showing the low level in which woman stand during this time. The men s meal is one that
leaves Woolf feeling as though we are all going to heaven. She lists off the potatoes being thin as
coins, sprouts foliated as rosebuds , and pudding so good that if it were otherwise related to rice and
tapioca would be nothing less than completely downgrading. The luncheon party was so proper that
them speaking of what was being eaten was unacceptable. The men were greeted with things such as
serving men and cushioned window seats for they are considered to be the most vital in their society.
Their attitude was nothing less then snobbish for they were made to feel so high. Treated inferior to
woman, and they sought to believe it themselves. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Australian Dual Citizenship Essay
Australian dual nationals can travel to the US: Malcolm Turnbull
The article Australian dual nationals can travel to the US published on the 31st of January 2017 by
The Sydney Morning Herald, written by Tom Mrlloy and David Wroe, reflects how Australian citizens
with dual citizenship will not be affected by the US s contradicting immigration prohibition. At the
Parliament House, Canberra, Mr Turnbull stated that people with dual citizenship are approved to visit
the US, despite their beliefs or culture.
The main issue raised in this article was that Australian citizens which hold a dual citizenship are not
allowed to travel to the US. Mr Turnbull confirmed dual citizenship holders are safe to visit the US
with no harm or worry. However, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I never knew citizens from countries, such as, Pakistan, Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey or Iran, loss
permission to travel to the US, conversely, owning an Australian citizenship. I found this very unfair. I
know those countries may have terrorist and dangerous people, but minority is like them, they are still
people, like us. In the future, I believe, I would like to support everyone from refugee countries. I
would like to take action helping the innocent people, who had nothing to do with the bombing and
terrorist attacks. Those five countries withdrawal of dual citizenship could become an on going issue,
affecting my community, as well as, I believe, nationally and internationally. Family connection could
be lost or interrupted, causing distress, anger, grief and etc., initiating conflict on the planet. My
suggestion to resolve this problem, would be considering or further discussing possible prevention
measures being overlooked to avoid the situation from escalating.
I believe, everyone in Australia should be treated fairly and have equal rights. I also support people
with dual citizenship and background from Pakistan, Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey or Iran should be
treated the same as all Australian citizens, despite their race or background. I was disappointed with
the negative change of the US citizenship rights, as a young boy with a dual Iranian Australian

Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza H5N1
The Disease: Highly pathogenic avian influenza H5N1, is a single strand negative sense influenza A
virus that causes disease in birds, humans, and various other animals. It was first discovered in Hong
Kong in 1996 after an outbreak among geese that caused high mortality rates. In 1997 the first human
cases were detected. Out of 18 confirmed cases, 6 people died, causing global concern (Petsko, 2005).
After a brief period in which the virus seemed to dissipate, it re emerged in 2003 affecting poultry and
wild birds in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. Since 2003 it has caused more than 700
human cases in more than 15 different countries, with the largest outbreaks occurring in Vietnam and

being great contemporaries (47). As such it is apt that their works should muse upon and explore
similar topics and themes. Their connection is especially evident in Browning s My Last Duchess and
Tennyson s The Lady of Shalott . The themes of entrapment and incarceration feature heavily in both
of these works. Specifically, it is the entrapment and incarceration of women which pervade their
respective compositions. When taking into consideration the way in which women were viewed at this
juncture in history being nothing more than beautiful objects (Gilbert and Gubar 54), it is quite easy to
see how the literary representations of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While the Duke of Ferrara never explicitly verbalizes the Duchess fate, it is strongly implied that she
died as a result of her inability to conform to his model of appropriate behaviour: And if she let
Herself be lessoned so, nor plainly set Her wits to yours, forsooth, and made excuse E en then would
be some stooping; and I choose Never to stoop. Oh sir, she smiled, no doubt, Whene er I passed her;
but who passed without Much the same smile? This grew; I gave commands; Then all smiles stopped
together. There she stands As if alive (Browning, My Last Duchess, lines 39 47) Thus the Duchess is
bound to the Duke and has become imprisoned within his art collection as nothing more than a
possession. The Duke exemplifies this view when he makes reference to another piece of his art
collection, as if the current and previous subjects of his monologue were completely analogous,
Notice Neptune, though/ Taming a sea horse, thought a rarity/ Which Claus of Innsbruck cast in
bronze for me! (Browning 54 56), he truly appreciates both pieces with similar enthusiasm. Although
the Duchess is allocated no space to give her side of the story, through the Duke s depiction the reader
can infer that she was killed for having her own free will and as such there is zero doubt that she is a
victim of imprisonment of the Duke s egocentric ideals. While he puts an adulterous spin on her
actions, by declaring: She had A heart how shall I say?

Comparison Of Gen X And Y Generation
Generations As I grew up I realized that my life is very different from the life that my parents and my
grandparents lived and probably will be different from the life my children will live. Some people say
that every generation is different from each other. Throughout history many generation have been
named after something that it s said to describe them in every way, Tim Urban called the generation I
live in the Generation Y or GYPSY s. The generation my parents lived in was called Generation X or
Baby Boomers. The Gen X and Y are very different in some aspects while in other they are very
similar. For many people the normal five milestones of adulthood are completing school, leaving
home, becoming financially independent, marring and having a child (Henig) in that order, but the
people in generation Y have a different way of viewing those milestones. People in the Y generation
stopped marring early and having babies and became more focused on their careers, while others
choose to leave school for work, some never have children or are unable to, some never leave home or
return home after some time and some never achieve all the five milestones. During my parents
generation in Brazil it was normal for people to return to their parents house (Fischer) and stay there
until they get married or start a new family, different from generation Y the education was very
important so not many people left school. Most people in the Baby boomers generation kept the same

Synthesis Essay On Blue
A Mixture of Blue and Green: Turquoise
Turquoise: a simple adjective describing something of a greenish blue pigment. The absolutely normal
color has much more meaning behind itself than what meets the eye. The hybrid color of blue and
green serves as a representation of myself. Symbolically, blue inhabits the peaceful and tranquil side
to turquoise. Green, the envious and diplomatic side to turquoise. By themselves blue nor green
represent me, but as a blend of the two colors my image is represented justly. As blue and green mix to
form turquoise they balance each other out to display an exceptional representation of myself. Blue:
an adjective representative of something of a cool and calming display. According to psychology, blue
acts as the friendly and genuine color. Blue describes my more reserved and peaceful half. Blue can
also be advertised as an authoritative color, but at the same time, honest and sincere. Much like
myself, I may have an authoritative opinion, but I always try to react truthful towards the situation and
sincere of my position. Contrary to the edgier side of blue, it can serve as a display of reservedness
and reliability. Blue can abide in comparison to the quiet kid in the back of the classroom. Although

This paper mainly introduces the electric vehicles made by Tesla Motors, Inc. in many aspects,
including comparisons with traditional gasoline fueled vehicles, environmental impact, 5 years
ownership cost, safety and ease of use. At last, drawing the conclusion that for a relatively long period,
choosing a Tesla electric vehicle rather than gasoline fueled cars is a wise decision for it?s greener and

In the last few years, Tesla Motors, Inc. is growing rapidly. Tesla has more than three thousand
employees in December, 2012. [3] And the number has been increased to six thousand in January,
2014. However, the relatively high price of Tesla electric cars cannot be ignored. Average customers
cannot afford such a car that is priced more that $70,000. Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla Motors, Inc.,
gave the opinion that Tesla is trying to eventually offer electric vehicles that are affordable to most
consumers. [4][5] A mature model under $40,000 is expected by 2017. [6][7]
Under such cases, some research on the famous Tesla Motors, Inc. and its electric vehicles will be
conducted in the paper. The study mainly focuses on whether the electric vehicles made by Tesla is
really more environmentally friendly as what people heard about. And will it cost too much in daily
use? Although many people assume such electric cars can pollute less, a few people have another
theory that such kind of vehicles isn?t as environmentally friendly as what people expected. In a way,
it makes sense because there are still

The Pearl Character Analysis
The Pearl, had many different characters with faults. Those faults seemed very small as the story
began, however those tiny flaws quickly became noticeable and conflicting. After being exposed to
such bad and wrong, the characters begin to really show their true colors. They show who they really
are under the influence of their faults, whether it be greed or desperateness. The characters being
completely different yet still try to show some connection and do things they would not do otherwise.
Most characters need some sort of light to shine upon their dark dreams as Steinbeck says. There are
many characters and scenes to talk about in the story but the main thing to discuss are certain
characters faults in their goals, failures to see past grees, and their dreams. Strangely enough, there is
the well known doctor who would not see the ill baby at the beginning of the story till he heard about
the pearl Kino found. It was at this point when the doctor felt the urge to suddenly head on over to
Kino s town to check up on his child. This is a major fault that goes along with his character. His
failure is due to selfishness, as he wants the pearl to go to Paris. They flat out state before the character
was even introduced, And they knew the doctor. They knew his ignorance, his cruelty, his avarice, his
appetites, his sins (Steinbeck chapter 1). He pretends as though he d love to take Kino and Juana, but
it is well known he just wants their funds. He even gives the baby

How Intarsia Is The Woodworking Technique That Uses Varied...
Introduction
Intarsia is the woodworking technique that uses varied shapes, sizes and different species of wood that
are fitted together to create a 3 dimensional, mosaic like picture. Intarsia is created through the
selection of different types of wood, using their natural grain pattern and color to create variations in
the pattern. The different species and colors of the wood contrasting lights and values. Similarly, grain
gives the art amazing texture and makes it very realistic. After selecting the specific woods to be used
within the pattern, each piece of wood is then individually cut, shaped, and sanded.

History
The Mediterranean world in the Middle Ages was covered in vast woodlands that composed a mixture
of hard and softwood trees. The forests of Italy were abundant and diverse. Wood was a main source
of fuel for most of Europe for generating heat during the harsh winters. This heat was also important
for cooking, firing bricks, ceramics and glass. It was also used in casting and forging a number of
different metals. The building and mining industries relied mainly on the local forests for beams for
bridges, cranes, rafters, ceilings, and doors. A large amount of tree species could not be used for
lumber or heat. These species were used in luxury woodworking. Some examples were sculpture,
furniture, and intarsia decorations.
The word intarsia comes from the Italian word tarsia and intarsiare which means to inlay. It is defined
as a mosaic usually of small pieces of wood which are inserted and glued into hollows of a wooden
support that was popular in the 15th century Italy for decoration featuring especially scrolls,
arabesques, architectural scenes, and flowers (Gibbo). The palette of different of intarsia artist were
gathered from timber merchants or from the customer. These artists could use up to 25 different
species of wood for one intarsia decoration. The reason for the different species is the grain, color and
texture of each one is different. The colors have a broad range from light

be reading about and makes them decide whether it is worth reading or not. A good abstract has many
qualities that include accurate information, it is easy to read, straight to the point and contains about
150 200 words. You will need to start a new page for the abstract and it will be the first thing the
readers see after the title page. There will be a header for this page meaning a page number on the far
right, top hand corner and then the title of the paper on the far left, top hand corner of the page.
Example: Body of the APA Paper The body of the paper is the biggest chunk. There is no certain
length for APA papers unless told to have one, otherwise the length should be a suitable amount of

Compare Hinduism And Hinduism
Buddhism and Hinduism are two popular religions that were found in India. It is commonly thought
that Buddhism and Hinduism are very similar religions, some may even think they are the same. This
thought comes up for many reasons including their spiritual practices, place of origin, and the problem
they believe life has. To many, it would be a surprise to learn how different these two religions truly
are from one another regardless of how much they resemble each other. Hindus tend to see the world
in a you get what you give type of way. They believe that every action one makes will affect their
future in one way or another. Samsara is the continuous cycle of life, death, and reincarnation. If one
acts good, they will in turn get good karma, leading to a better next life. If one behaves badly on the
other hand, they will obtain bad karma which will lead to suffering in the next incarnation. Hindus
believe a person can be born in different varieties, in each variety ones soul or atman is kept but the
body in which they are in can change. The atman can form into a human or any other living creature
mainly depending on its karma. Each variety is another chance for their atman to attain good karma.
Hindus also believe in the caste system, each caste has its own duties, or dharma . One must fulfill
these duties and maintain good karma in order to work their way up the caste. The higher up in the
caste system they are the better quality of life a person has. A legend has

give them the same score on my scale even after a week because there are not much I would change in

RESOURCE ALLOCATION
Resource allocation refers to the distribution of resources, and in particular finance, from the centre to
peripheral levels. It generally concerns broad levels of aggregated financial resources. Budgeting
implies the more detailed determination of precisely how these funds are to be used. Given the
importance we have placed on planning as a process that leads to action, budgeting and resource
allocation are major planning instruments.

The principal advantage of this technique is the fact that it forces managers to plan each program
package afresh. However, it demands more time and energy than conventional budgeting. The
advantages of the zero based budgeting approach include: * It forces the PM to thoroughly plan the
job before creating budgets. * It provides the PM with baseline information for monitoring and
controlling the project. * It records commitments made by the responsible individuals involved in
estimating the level of effort required for each task. * It develops the resource information needed to
calculate manpower requirements. * Completed during the proposal stage, it provides invaluable
information during contract negotiations. It also forms an excellent foundation for future change
control. * Forecast against the project schedule for each task, it generates cash flow
information.Despite all these advantages, the zero based budgeting method also sets the stage for PMs
to pile contingency upon contingency when examining each individual task ultimately over budgeting
the job.
2. Downward budgeting starts from the opposite direction. The assumption is that the value of the
project has been established, so it is known what the client is willing to pay to complete the work.
The budgeting process starts with a total price (fee) that is not necessarily related to the cost of
actually performing the work. The price has been

The Line Between Good And Evil In Philip Zimbardo s The...
Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn once said, The line between good and evil cuts through the heart of every
human being. Every indivdual has the decision between good and evil. Not every person will choose
the right side of the line. When an indivdual crosses over the line to the evil side this is known as The
Lucifer Effect. Philip Zimbardo, the individual that coined the idea, presented the ideas behind why
people change and turn evil even if though their whole life they were not known as an evil person.
According to Zimbardo, people turn evil for one of two reasons; The Lucifer Effect and the seven
social processes that grease the slippery slope of evil (TED Talks). Philip Zimbardo ran an experiment
at the time that he was a graduate teacher ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Images arose that showed how the guards had beaten and humiliated the prisoners there had control
over. The guards had shown no signs of evil tendencies perviously, so why did they do it? Later, after
the initial controvery, information came out saying that it possibly happened because the generals in
charge of the guards put pressure on them to get information out of the prisoners. This lead these
American heroes to perform unimaginably, horibble tortures towards the inmates (The American
Prospect). The second reason that Zimbardo gives for people turning evil is the seven social processes
that grease the slippery slope of evil (TED Talks). That phrase translates to seven thought processes
that lead a person to evils that they never thought they could. Mindlessly taking the first small step
expresses in words part of what Stanley Milgram ran an experiment to test. The first step of his
experiment involved shocking a learner with fifteen volts. Taking the first small step, in the case of
Milgram the first, harmless 15 volt shock, can lead to shocks that ended at 450 volts, a lethal shock.
Secondly, the dehumanization of others, when one experiences confrontation with other people they
see them as not having feelings as though they are their enemies. Continuing on into the de
individualization of self which translates to the power of anonymity.

If you were to unite with her in wedlock and claim her as yours, she would make all your years sweet

the most sense is that Lorenzo di Pierfrancesco de Medici, upon the news of his upcoming marriage to
Semiramide d Appiano, asked Botticelli to paint the Primavera using the figures that he did because
they held a strong meaning for him since he received the aforementioned letter (Venturi 72). The way
Venus is used in this picture along with the Three Graces, Mercury, Cupid, The Zephyr and Flora has
mounds upon mounds of meanings. It is truly Neo Platonic. There are so many meanings, that if taken
out of context, Venus could mean anything from lust to ideal beauty, to being the Goddess of April and
gardens, along with Flora (Dempsey 260 261). If it is to be a gift to the bride or the married couple, it
could suggest fertility being ushered in through Flora by way of Zephyr s actions. It could also be that
the picture is showing the bride certain virtues she must possess through the Three Graces and a
virginal, pure looking, wedding veiled Venus (see figure 2). The fact that there are, blossoming off of
the orange trees, ripe sumptuous fruits is congruent with the fertility theme as well as the fact that
oranges are part of the Medici coat of arms (Hartt and Watkins 379). Or is could be all of these ideas

Sinegal also value mistakes. He believed that in the company you had to take risks and if they didn t

as The distinguishing personal characteristics of a leader, such as intelligence, honesty, self confidence
and even appearance (pg 612, Samson Daft 2014). Trait based leadership is based on the idea that
people born with certain qualities and characteristics are more suitable for leadership. It was achieved
by identifying the traits of many leaders, both successful and unsuccessful, and looking into their
physical, emotional, and cognitive traits that made them who they were. (Derue, D. S., Nahrgang, J.
D., Wellman, N., Humphrey, S. E. 2011). By studying the likes of leaders such as Martin Luther King
Jr, Gandhi and even controversial leaders like Hitler, researchers interpreted

Analysis Of Ordinary People
In the film Ordinary People, we see the main protagonist, Conrad, suffer from major depressive
disorder. Throughout the film, he shows symptoms of depression through challenges regulating sleep,
depressed mood, thoughts of death and suicide, along with multiple other symptoms. The Diagnostic
and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders or the DSM V, lists the symptoms of depression as:
depressed mood most of the time, reduced interest or enjoyment in most activities, challenges
regulating appetite and weight, challenges regulating sleep, physical agitation or lethargy, having
much less energy, unwarranted guilt, problems thinking, concentrating, or making decisions, and
thinking of death and suicide (Meyers, 629).
Conrad clearly shows ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Regarding psychological functioning, Conrad is under the vicious cycle of depression. His brother s
death led him to adapt a negative explanatory style. This in turn resulted in his depressed mood and
cognitive and behavioral changes. He also believes that he has disobeyed his parents and does not
deserve their forgiveness or affection (1:09:38). Conrad lives with a sense of guilt, not only for
attempting suicide, but for things he had no control over (ex. Karen s death). From a socio cultural
approach, Conrad depression worsens due to his unstable relationship with his mother, along with
other relationships in his life. Throughout the movie, we clearly see that Conrad s mother does not
understand the severity of Conrad s mental state. She frequently believes that Conrad is fine and wants
their lives to get back to normal (0:24:37). She believes Conrad s mental health is a phase that can be
fixed by simply being harder on him. The movie also takes place in a time where discussing mental
health is taboo. Mental illness was significantly less common and thought to be a touchy subject.
Throughout the movie, we can see that people do not know how to approach the Jarretts about Conrad
s state and frequently stumble through conversations or do not understand the situation (0:22:14;
0:31:52; 0:48:05). This plays a part in Conrad s depression because he feels he can t talk to or relate to
anyone

Cosmetic Surgery Research Paper
Michael Jackson, Demi Moore, Sharon Osborne, Cher, Pamela Anderson, Bruce Jenner, Joan Rivers,
and Janice Dickinson are all guilty of going under the knife. Stars today portray a picture perfect
image of how everyone should look, but is it really worth it? To some, yes it is, but when you weigh
the pros and cons it really is not worth it. What really is beauty, and why are people so obsessed with
it? These days there is a cosmetic procedure to fix any kind of issue that someone thinks they need to
have, anything ranging from getting cosmetic dentistry work to getting liposuction. Today, people are
under the impression that they have to do whatever it takes to be perfect even if that means going
through extensive cosmetic surgery. People ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Jocelyn has gone from female to feline, and has spent millions of dollars on plastic surgery to
transform her face into that of a cat! It sounds pretty absurd, but she has accomplished it. As scary as
she looks Jocelyn looks like a cat on two legs (TMZ Staff, 2008, Cat Chow para.2). Women are not
the only addicts though, take Armand Lepore. Well, he was born a male and his first cosmetic surgery
was a sex change (The Insider, 2006, Inside the Most Extreme Plastic Surgery Ever! para. 3). Now one
of the nations most famous transgender, Amanda Lepore has undergone a ton of plastic surgeries to
make him look like a girl. Well, he has succeeded and now has been doing modeling for top designers.
The most shocking surgery that Amanda had was that the doctors had to break her rib to make her
waist look smaller (The Insider, 2006, Inside the Most Extreme Plastic Surgery Ever! para. 6). If that
does not scream addict in itself I do not know what does. It is just amazing the measures people are
willing to go to be beautiful .
Risking your health just to save some money is it really worth it? Well some women feel that going
overseas to seek plastic surgery is worth it. After maybe being denied by a good doctor in the states or
just not having enough money for their dream look, more and more people are going outside of the
U.S to get plastic surgery. Some women swear by it and think its no big deal, but it really could be a

Capital Disciplinement And Capital Punishment
Some say capital punishment is the largest amount of discipline. As indicated by 71% of the United
States there is no harsher discipline than death itself. 58 nations hone capital punishment. The United
States of America, is one of the 58. Starting at 2015 the United States will just utilize capital
punishment if indicted first degree kill. Some trust that death penalty will prevent killers. I will be
contending that capital punishment does not stop lawbreakers and that the United States ought to
cancel this ihumane type of discipline.
Before I make my side of the contention, Here is some foundation data on the death penalty. The death
penalty was brought over from Britain, when the establishing fathers pronounced autonomy.
Europeans gave capital punishment for different violations. The primary recorded execution in
America happened in Jamestown, 1608. A man named George Kendall was executed for conspiracy.
In the prior provincial days, laws with respect to the death penalty differed relying upon the district
and the idea of the wrongdoing.
Amid the nineteen century, capital punishment changed drastically. Around this time capital
punishment began to lose prevalence. Expresses never again dedicated open executions. All
executions were done in private. Pennsylvania was the principal state to receive this pattern.
Inevitably a few states abrogated capital punishment all together. In current circumstances, fourteen
out of fifty expresses never again complete capital

Black Bodice Overhead And The Moon
Stars twinkled in the black bodice overhead and the moon was nowhere in sight, yet, no one
questioned why. All lay dead in the sky while below on land, badlam occurred. It was the 18th Era on
Gaia, in the small mountain town of Nibelheim. Squall Leonhart was clutching Cloud s hand, running
towards Mt. Nibel, away from the denizens of his hometown. His feet could barely keep up with the
speed of the blonde, who was sprinting at an inhuman pace. The ascent of the mountain was too much
to handle for the mere men chasing them, while Cloud had swept Squall up and ran with the brunette
in tow. Squall knew everything was backwards and wrong. He had fallen in love with Cloud, and

He released his lover from his chains and together, they made a break for the Mako caves. Squall was
a hunter, not hunted. Everything was backwards and wrong. They reached the caves, Cloud slinging
Squall in, away from the entrance. Cloud used his strength to move heavy boulders to block the
entrance, preventing anyone from coming in. He turned back to Squall, non existent heart thawing at
the sight of his scared, anxious love. Cloud walked over, grabbing the man s face in his gloved hands
and kissing him with all the passion he had. Are you okay, my love? Cloud asked, bringing Squall in
close to him. I am now, he whispered back, laying a kiss on Cloud s chest. What will we do? I can t go
back, and when they get up here, there s no stopping them at all. I can t ask for protection from us.
While it s not forbidden for a demon to love a human, it s looked down upon. I only know of one hope
for us, but it s not pleasant. Anything, Cloud. Anything for you. I d take any pain over and over, if it
meant I can stay with you. We ll have to go to my home, Squall. We ll have to go to the Underworld.
What you call, Hell. Hell is better than Nibelheim, Squall murmured, hugging Cloud tighter and
closing his eyes. How do we get there? My dear, open your eyes, we re already there. Confused,
Squall opened his eyes expecting to still be in the cave, but instead saw he was inside of a dimly lit
castle.

Complications Of Cancer And Treatments
Complications of Cancer and Available Treatments
Cancer complications and treatments are dependent on patient s health conditions and stage of the
cancer. Common complications caused by cancer include pain, fatigue, nausea and vomiting, dyspnea
(breathlessness), and metastasis (cancer that spreads) (Mayo Clinic Complications, 2016). Pain is one
of the main physical complications, as the nerves surrounding the tissues feel the pressure due to
growing tumor. Pain medications and alternate therapies like massage, yoga, and acupuncture can help
patients to cope up with the pain (Mayo Clinic Complications, 2016). Fatigue can be caused by the
side effects of treatments as well and physical and mental distress. Fatigue can be managed through
balanced diet and managing stress and medication side effects (Cancer.Net, 2016). Certain tumors and
malignancy medications can bring about nausea and vomiting. It causes much inconveniences to the
patient. Nausea and vomiting can be controlled by medications. Dyspnea which is a feeling of
breathlessness can be caused by tumor or other related conditions, which can be managed by
medications and relaxation techniques (Cancer.Net, 2016). Treating these complications by
medications and other approaches can improve the patient s general wellbeing, and survival chance.
Cancer treatment will vary depending on the cancer type and staging of the cancer. Many treatment
options are available, and the patient and the doctor can evaluate the benefits

Are Humans Striving To Survive Research Paper
Do humans still strive to survive no matter what the circumstances? Humans have been striving to
survive, pushing themselves to keep going and not give up for many years no matter what the
circumstances. They have faced many obstacles and managed to overcome them. Looking back at
ancient life, humans had to start from the beginning to sustain life. For example, the ancient Egyptians
survived by the technology they developed. In today s society, we start where our previous generation
ended; causing an exponential growth in terms of technology. Technology is the key to surviving in
this world. Humans learned how to survive in the ancient times by developing innovative technology,
however, it came at a cost. Advancing technology forces humans to advance along with it. Agriculture

keep going. All these are a form of technology, which basically makes up for our lives and helps us in
everything we put our mind to. With all this information, you can still tell humans are striving to
survive no matter what happens. New inventions will be made and milestones will be created because
of technology. Technology has been very helpful in the making of agriculture, communication, and
transportation and will never stop doing so. This is very important to us because we always hear
people argue about the survival of humanity and why they don t strive to survive, but at the end
humans will always strive to survive thanks to the advancement of

Looking at it from this standpoint, we can say physical education will have meaning when all of these factors are contributed and put together. We have to work together to implement physical education in the schools, but it will all be worth it in the long run (France, 2011, p.51). Staff, as stated from the article written by Huberty, is a big part of a school s physical education program. Most of the participants and staff from this study believe physical activity is important, but limited because of the amount of homework given, pressure from peers, and the lack of ability to perform at home because of limited equipment. I believe all of these factors are important because this is something very ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Taking into consideration those factors and learning to differentiate lessons for those students is very important for success and building of a physical education program. The most important part about a physical education lesson is so each and every student is participating to his or her fullest and best ability, while also learning something. Whether or not a lesson has to be differentiated or adapted, they should all be learning (Ebbeck, 2015, p. 54). Saving the best for last, obesity. According to schools in Texas and Governor Rick Perry, these schools will be participating in physical education to reduce the beginning of diabetes. Since America is considered overweight, they did not think there was a better way to hopefully decrease obesity than to incorporate more physical education in to schools. Kindergarten through fifth grade graders are required to exert for thirty minutes during PE or structured recess, which students will begin this fall (Obesity, 2007, p.1). This also goes along with the taking away of recesses. We should not be taking away things, which benefit our students lives. Overall, physical education courses can help a students overall well being and health. This is the goal they aim to pursue at these Texas schools. They also are requiring mandatory testing based upon levels of attendance, meal ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This is because brain scans have the appearance of physical objects that can be seen and touched. It tempts us to think that we are seeing the raw reality in brain scans. However, it is a seductive fallacy. The inferential measurement of the brain activity is actually electroencephalography (EEG) as in positron emission tomography (PET) and other scanning tools. Therefore, the EEG makes a raw observation of the brain activity of cognition. Neurons make ten thousand connections and even the input branches of a single neuron may compute information. There a diverse of neurons and out of that many integrate and fire neuron is focused. This neuron is known to be a classical neuron that accepts input from other nerve cells through its dendrites. The dendrites branches are with graded membrane potentials. The voltages across the membrane of the dendrites can have its continuous values. The graded dendritic potentials add up and if the total voltage over a brief time interval exceeds about 50mV, they trigger a fast travelling spike or action potential in the axon of the nerve cell (neuron). The neuron is to send its signal by firing spikes that is by sending action potentials from the cell body down the axon to the terminal buttons. At the terminals, a neurochemical is released to diffuse across the small synaptic gap. Then it triggers a postsynaptic potential in the neighboring neuron. 2. Action potential is a brief fluctuation in membrane potential caused by the rapid opening and closing of the voltage gated ion channels which is known as the spike of neuron, nerve impulse or discharge. The action potential sweep like a wave along axons to transfer information from one neuron to the other in the nervous system. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Elvis Presley, The King of Rock, debuted his first number one hit song Heartbreak Hotel and it climbed steadily to the top of the charts as the number one song in February of 1956. When Elvis popularity first grew, it sparked outrage through the previous generations in fears that his music would intertwine cultures. In the 1950s and 1960s, Rock N Roll was classified as African American music and those listeners who do not fit that class, would be frowned upon. Mr. Presley was a Nashville native, who sang hard driving rockabilly, Rock N Roll dance songs and ballads, and laid a foundation for other rock musicians to follow. Elvis unique fashion sense influenced younger generations through the years to dress their snazziest, grease their hair in a 50 s fashion, and influenced how they interact with each other. The F.B.I. eventually got enough evidence on him to arrest him on July 27th. According to Vox.com Papadopoulos originally pleaded guilty to the charges, but did not formally announce this until October 5th. And even after the formal plea a special council member, Robert Mueller, somehow got it the court to keep silent because he didn t want the President s reputation to be damaged (Ward, 2017). Now that it has been uncovered everybody is aware that the foreign policy adviser that Trump had hand picked, went and lied to the F.B.I. and had direct contact with Russian higher ups. During the late part of October Paul Manafort, and Rick Gates were put under house arrest. While the F.B.I. was investigating just what had happened during the 2016 election they found out the Paul Manafort had 3 passport all with different numbers, a fake email, and a phone that couldn t be traced because it was under a completely different name. Used by many ancient cultures, with the first discovery dating back more than 6000 years ago in Iraq. The name aromatherapy was created by the French chemist Rene Maurice Gattefosse (1881 1950) whilst studying and working in his family perfumery business. This relates to Kimmy because in one scene in the fourth episode of the Season 1, the girls in the bunker don t have a mirror so as they age and change, another bunkermate will verbally describe what the other looks like. This is significant because in reality, that s a very depressing thought; they can t see themselves because they are trapped in a bunker. • 10. The Existence Of The Mind And The Brain Essay They Identity theory is a creation from the main philosophical branch Materialism established as a response to development of psychology and its correlation to the physical sciences in the mid 20th century. The doctrine essentially proposes that types (or kinds, or classes) of mental states (M) are identical with types (or kinds, or classes) of physical states (P) such that M=P. Advocates of this theory propose that this assertion is a dependent element in regards to the nature of the mind and the brain; it makes no effort to illuminate the meaning of mental terms and thus differs from a semantic thesis like logical behaviorism (ex: pain means physiological state X). When questioning whether mental states are the same as physical states, or discrete from one another, one must be clear as to whether the question applies to concrete particulars (e.g., individual instances of pain occurring in particular subjects at particular times) or to the kind (of state or event) under which such concrete particulars fall. More specifically, one must clearly define the differences between the terms type and token to better understand their correlating theories. Simply put, the distinction between type and token boils down to specifics versus generalities. A type is intended to describe a group of objects which all share particular features. A token is an explicit sample of a type. Type is the broad category where a token is a tangible sample of the concept. To demonstrate, a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Using words, descriptions, and tones Woolf expresses to the reader how insignificant woman in this day are made to feel. By showing the different standards in which society holds men and woman during something as simple as a meal, Woolf undeniably succeeds in showing the low level in which woman stand during this time. The men s meal is one that leaves Woolf feeling as though we are all going to heaven. She lists off the potatoes being thin as coins, sprouts foliated as rosebuds , and pudding so good that if it were otherwise related to rice and tapioca would be nothing less than completely downgrading. The luncheon party was so proper that them speaking of what was being eaten was unacceptable. The themes of entrapment and incarceration feature heavily in both of these works. Specifically, it is the entrapment and incarceration of women which pervade their respective compositions. When an indivdual crosses over the line to the evil side this is known as The Lucifer Effect. Philip Zimbardo, the individual that coined the idea, presented the ideas behind why people change and turn evil even if though their whole life they were not known as an evil person. This lead these American heroes to perform unimaginably, horibble tortures towards the inmates (The American Prospect). The second reason that Zimbardo gives for people turning evil is the seven social processes that grease the slippery slope of evil (TED Talks). That phrase translates to seven thought processes that lead a person to evils that they never thought they could. The way Venus is used in this picture along with the Three Graces, Mercury, Cupid, The Zephyr and Flora has mounds upon mounds of meanings. It is truly Neo Platonic. If it is to be a gift to the bride or the married couple, it could suggest fertility being ushered in through Flora by way of Zephyr s actions. It could also be that the picture is showing the bride certain virtues she must possess through the Three Graces and a virginal, pure looking, wedding veiled Venus (see figure 2).
