Jane has arrived for her assessment. Which paperwork will you complete with her and why?
Based on her goals, which fitness tests will you perform? Will nutrition advice be included in
your assessment process? Why or why not? Some paperwork I will have Jane complete is a
health appraisal screening. This is to help identify known diseases and possible risk factors
associated with coronary artery disease and question if Jane may need medical referral before
starting the exercise program. I would have Jane fill out a Par Q (physical activity readiness
questionnaire) form which identifies if individuals are healthy enough to start training or if they
need additional medical attention. Another form I would have her fill out is the health/medical
questionnaire. This form identifies any diseases, personal medical history, health concerns,
medication and lifestyle management. I would then proceed to ask Jane questions to gather a
lifestyle inventory so I can understand some of her daily habits and figure if she has any behaviors
that are positively or negatively impacting her health. I would ask questions about her diet, stress
management, physical activity, and sleep pattern. I

The goal for this experiment was to see how much of both Sodium Bicarbonate and Acetic Acid
it was going to take to fill you a sandwich bag without it exploding. We were going to need to

Pros And Cons Of Nuclear Fusion
Development of alternative energy sources is ever growing. One such source, nuclear fusion, is
gaining increasing prominence in the energy world. The principles of nuclear fusion provide the
opportunity of incredible energy production. This review covers the concepts, current prospects,
and the challenges and future developments necessary for the realization of nuclear fusionas a power
source. Tremendous research and development has already occurred into the realization of fusion.
Two popular mechanisms are studied: Magnetic Confinement Fusion (MCF) and Inertial
Confinement Fusion. MCF utilizes magnetic entrapment of superheated plasma in a device known
as a tokamak to achieve fusion conditions. ICF utilizes ablation and compression techniques in...

These issues combine to place an unfavorable light on the potential of nuclear power. Nuclear
fission, however, is not the only source of nuclear power. Nuclear fusion is another method which
offers the potential to combat some of the ailments of nuclear fission in addition to providing long
lasting power. Nuclear fusion offers several benefits to energy industry. Among the benefits of
fusion power is that fusion fuel is readily available, power produced is reliable, has a low
environmental impact, does not produce fissile materials, and carries the same terror risk as
conventional fossil fuel plants [6]. To understand why some of these benefits are true, an
understanding of the science behind nuclear fusion is necessary. To start, nuclear reactions involve
the protons and neutrons contained in the nucleus of an atom. This is different from how chemical
reactions, like the burning of fossil fuels, involve the electrons of an atom. In nuclear fission
reactions, heavier elements are torn apart. The resulting products are more stable than the reactant,

Animal Rights At Factory Farms
Madison Bowdish
Dr. Brian Onishi
PHIL 229
15 Dec 2016
Animal Rights in Factory Farms The idea that industrial farming is bad for the environment is
well known, but what people do not think about is horrible practice of factory farms within
industrial farming. Factory farms are inhumane and not only because the animal is being
slaughtered, but because of the way the animals are treated before the are killed. A person would
think that if they were to be innocently killed that they would want to be treated with respect and
dignity before they die. In this paper, I will argue that animals have rights through a utilitarian view
and that they should not be treated in an inhumane way. The framework I plan to discuss is Peter
Singer s utilitarian view on animal rights. A general idea of what utilitarianismis can be described
as the need for the many outweigh the needs of a few, or majority rule when it comes to
happiness. Singer s criteria for how a being gets rights is based on the ability to feel pleasure or
pain. With this criteria it allows people who are mentally handicapped, the senile, and babies to
have rights (Hozien). Most would agree that it would be cruel to not give these people rights, so
Singer argues that since animals can feel pain and pleasure they also have rights. Although he
believes that they should be treated equal he does admit that there is a range or difference of pain.
He equates this to racism or in this case speciesism. For instance he states that

important strengths provided during the interview was their current training program for federal

the recession and the current job market good talent could and can be found, but it is hard to retain

the area of threats, the main target market of the American Lake Credit Union is the current

The Dangers of Social Media These days social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and
Instagram have become an essential part of our daily lives in America. It is through media sources
such as these that have enabled communication among people on a global scale along with uniting
people with similar interests and ideas together in a positive manner. According to statistics from
the Pew Research Center, around seven in ten Americans use some type of social media (Pew
Research). The development of mobile devices has played a significant role in the widespread
development of social media by facilitating the access to these sites. Today the use of social media

When technological advancement began so did the growth of social networking. Social
networking became easier with the innovation of smartphones, by making social media more
accessible than its initial phases. However, in social networking s earliest stages social media
sites were created with the purpose of helping people stay linked together despite the distance
separating each other. During that time, the only means of using these networking sites were by
having access to a computer. Without the easy accessibility to computers, people back then could
carry on with everyday life tasks without social networking distracting us from the life around us.
Despite social media not fully taking off until the booming of mobile devices, the earliest known
form of social media is believed to have been created in 1995 by way of Classmates.com.
Eventually being followed by networks such as Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest (Social
Media). Unfortunately networking quickly changed in the 2010s when smartphones became
more common and social media sites began to release their products as mobile applications or
apps (Social Media). In this day and age in which some school age children are gifted mobile
devices almost everyone can get their hands on social media. It has become so easy to stay
communicated by means of these social media apps that we are starting to forget how to interact
among each other. We are moving away from face to face

Nurture Plays a More Dominant Role in Human s Development...
Humans are unique and intricate creatures and their development is a complex process. It is this
process that leads people to question, is a child s development influenced by genetics or their
environment? This long debate has been at the forefront of psychology for countless decades now
and is better known as Nature versus Nurture. The continuous controversy on whether or not
children develop their psychological attributes based on genetics (nature) or the way in which they
have been raised (nurture) has pondered the minds of psychologists for years. Through thorough
experiments, studies, and discussions however, it is easy to see that nurture is far more important
in the development of a human than nature.
The Nature versus Nurture argument can be traced back many millenniums ago. In 350 B.C.,
philosophers asked the same question on human behaviour. Plato and Aristotle were two
philosophers that each had two diverse views on the matter. Plato believed that knowledge and
behaviour were due to inherent factors, but environmental factors still played a role in the equation.
Conversely, Aristotle had different views. He believed in the idea of Tabula Rasa.
The Blank Slate theory supported the nurture side of the argument and believed that everyone
was born with a Tabula Rasa , Latin for Blank Slate . He proposed that people learn and acquire
ideas from external forces or the environment . In other words, he believed that the mind is a blank
slate and it is our

12. Wordpress Tutorial posting options
Welcome to our WordPress lesson. So with this Knowledge bit, we are going to talk about how
easy it is to add media to a post and how to actually finalize a post so in this lesson we are going to
talk about setting up post.
Customize Permalink
We have also got an option here to customize our permalinks where we might want to actually
create a really custom URL s, so coolurlhere . so that s exactly what I wanted if I want to have a
coolurlhere so this can be the actual link of the page and really think about WordPress is really a
lot of cool stuff because its dated base driven content it s not actually connected to these URL s so
you can change these and if you don t like it, you can actually ... Show more content on

Another really cool feature we can create galleries to better organize our images.
[Screenshot5]
So we have one more thing we are able to actually link it to a custom URL, we can link it to the
media file or we can just leave it without a link so that can all be done right here Custom URL all
we had in that link there.
[Screenshot6]
And here you have those size options that we looked at earlier and we have got the ability for
thumbnail, medium large and as you can see its updated the dimensions so that the width there
is always going to be that max width of 300 but the height is the one that s going to change so we
don t have disproportionate images because if we uploaded an image and if we wanted a square
300x300 we can t do that with an image of size 1200x630.
[Screenshot7]
So keep that in mind and I am just going to leave it as a medium by default because this is
probably the best way to go when I am adding it to my page. And now I have to do insert post and
there it gets inserted, I see that I have got the caption when I go to the actual HTML it s created all
of that HTML so caption ID it s giving some mega information there and it s also got a class so
size medium so that s where it s getting that max medium of 300. [Screenshot8]
So this is a really good option with these captions and this mega information captions are good for
screen readers and so on and a lot of themes and templates really do take advantage of what s

Rhetorical Analysis On Banksy
Throughout the course of time, Banksy s street art is known for bringing a specific point across
through his affective use of certain visual art that are very eye opening. For example, his
signature use of black and white paints for the image itself and a very bold color such as red for
magnifying the text. His art also brings up very controversial topics that most of his audience fail
to realize or recognize. In one of his many famous pieces of art, he effectively uses the four
rhetorical considerations and the two Aristotic considerations to convey to his audience that there
are still many societies that have no interest in girls getting an education. When looking from a far, a
person appears to see just an outline of a little girl on the ground holding something but what? In
Banksyart, he uses a lot life size figures to make his audience question Who s over there . From
this stimulating question, the person ultimately walks over to satisfy their curiosity, which is a
strong trait he has. As the person moves in closer to the painting, he/she sees is not even real so
now they ask Why is little girl on ground? What is she holding? What do the bold capitalized
letters in red say? As they approach closer, they develop more questions, which enhance their
curiosity and determination to finding answers. His painting does a great job of actually captivating
his audience. They... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Huichol people were hunter gatherers back in pre Columbian time. Hunter gatherers are a

Commonalities in Religions
The pre Columbian religions found outside of Eurasia were wildly diverse, but they nearly
always emphasized a few basic beliefs. Perhaps this was because they stemmed from a similar
progenitor religion in the distant past, perhaps they picked up on some basic part of the human
psyche. While there were many differences in the intricacies of the religions of Polynesia, the
Andes, and Mesoamerica, they all shared a polytheistic faith, a belief that gods are derived from
nature, and a belief that sacrificewas needed to maintain the natural order of the world. In polynesia,
the dominant pre columbian religionwas animism the belief that all things have some sort of
spiritual power. In Polynesia, this power was called mana (Encyclopedia Britannica). Polynesians
believed that this spiritual power, this mana, could be negated by human actions. As a result of this,
many tapu (brought into English as taboo) were set up in order to prevent humans from upsetting
the natural order of the world. As with their neighbors in Mesoamerica, the polynesians believed in
a form of human sacrificeto right the unbalance in the mana of a person or a thing. This was
especially clear when someone walked over the shadow of a chief or a noble. It was thought that
this would damage the mana of the person and only the death of the offender would correct this
unbalance. Like most cultures, the Polynesians had many gods which would personify some part
of nature and who would be deeply

Why I Was A Kid
When I was a kid, I would always hear my mom and the other adults talk about how they were

referred to minorities in the inner city. This was back in Milwaukee in the early 1980 s, now
every city that I go to and visit this myth seems to follow. It wasn t until I moved to Atlantaand over
the last ten years, I saw the city change right before my very eyes. I noticed nice condos going up

What will happens to these long term residents, where do they go now? If suburbanites are
taking flight back to the city, what will the face of Atlanta look like in ten years? The inner city
residents will probably be given vouchers for Section 8 housing in less desirable areas in the city
where jobs and transportation are scarce. As for the later, in the next ten years Atlanta will go
from predominantly black and liberal landscape to a more white conservative population, if we
aren t including or afforded the benefits of gentrification. The exodus of the Black poor and
working class to the suburbs, will in effect lead to the loss of Black politicians and old time
supporters of the old Atlanta.
Will gentrification radically alter a neighborhood? Does so called cleaning up really change
anything, or is it just straightening it up , making it look more attractive for visitors. Atlanta s
populus in urban areas continues to grow, but this growth is now being fueled by existing suburban
residents and yuppie transplants from other states, streaming current residents further out of the

But our country is a melting pot that brings together different cultures and languages, a country
that brings together different people of color with different backgrounds and unites them to

we re all different. But unfortunately, in today s society the narrative is different. We have built
one where immigrants are now outsiders invading our land and taking our resources, even

Today, these immigrants and primarily Mexicans have been attacked by the comments President

Now that he is President there has been a series of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)

Horns as we know them today are the result of centuries of tradition. The history of this instrument
is particularly interesting because it wasn t used as a traditional musical instrument until not so
long algo. Just like early recording technology and synthesizers, the first horn models were rejected
by the public in their time and it took many years before they became popular. This essay will

order to shift the natural harmonic series from a basic key to another . It basically depended on
the player to slide the cylinders in order to align the valves into different positions thus creating
different pathways for air to flow. This would produce a set of new whole and half notes as the

The Epistemological Tradition That Best Fits My Own...
Throughout my journey I am discovering the epistemological tradition that best fits my own
perspective. There are many ways in which a person learns; learning can be defined as a change in
behavior due to past experiences. As well, there are different approaches to learning such as;
behaviorism, cognitivism, connectivism and constructivism. Many aspects of my life have formed
my epistemological assumptions such as family, friends, community, education and my own
experiences. Epistemologyis defined as the theory of knowledge, with respect to its methods,
validity, and scope; it is the inquiry of what discerns acceptable belief from opinion (Bates,
2015, section 2.2.1, para 1). I feel that I connect best with experiential cognitivism since I prefer
to experience information before internalizing and relating it with what I know to be true. I will
draw upon my past experiences to illustrate my position as I have come to understand myself as an
experiential cognitivist, which situates within the epistemology of pragmatism. Pragmatism is
defined as a practical approach to problems or matters. As William James states in his book
Pragmatism, A New Name for Some Old Ways of Thinking He (pragmatism) turns towards
concreteness and adequacy, towards facts, towards action, and towards power (para 12, Lecture II
What Pragmatism Means).

Although the relationship between the Kayapo and The Body Shop has reportedly been strained,
this is an example of how the Kayapo have learned to coexist with outsiders in business.
Additionally, I support the Kayapo s efforts to stop the construction of dams in the region.
According to Amazonwatch.org the Brazilian government is moving forward at any cost with
plans to build the third largest dam in the world and one of the Amazon s most controversial
development projects the Belo Monte dam on the Xingu River in the state of ParГЎ. Belo Monte s
three reservoirs will flood 400 square kilometers of agricultural land and forest. If this project
proceeds, it would all but wipe out the Kayapo and their way of life.
Finally, the Brazilian government and the rest of the world must come to realize that the increasing
destruction of the rain forest threatens the delicate balance between humans, plants, and animals.
The Kayapo have successfully maintained this balance for thousands of years. We have an
obligation to ensure they are able to continue to maintain this balance.

Why Dogs Are Expensive Pets
One could say having a dog is easy, but that s correct think about food, the vet, toys, ruined
furniture, training classes and crates. Dogs are expensive pets because of the food, the vet, and
containment. Dog food is expensive because it s sold in big bags, wet food and dry food.
The factory that makes dog food fills the bag up. Then the factory price it by how much it weighs.
It costs $2 to 3$ per pound and raw pet food cost $12 per pound. Raw dog food is expensive
because it is considered natural and fresh from nature. Wet food It is easier to give to puppies
because it s soft and not processed to hard, dry food. Dry food doesn t cost as much as raw food
because it doesn t have as much protein as the dry food when it is heated most of protein comes
off. The dry food scapes the dog s teeth and builds up plaque. Wet food cleans the teeth and
prevents plaque from building up. natural pet food, that jumps to $2.64. Organic pet food was
up at $3.66 a pound, and raw food beat them all at $12.08 per pound. Deena Shanker is a food and

Comparing Bradstreet And Edward Taylor
Writers Anne Bradstreet and Edward Taylor shared a common religion and both regarded death
and loss from the same theological perspective. As Puritans, both of these writers believed that at
least to a certain extent everything was a gift from God, and that God was free to take it when he
will. Taylor shows no signs of doubt in his writing though the same can not be said for Bradstreet.
This shared belief leads to some similar surface ideas in their poetry, but their levels of commitment
and doubts in these ideas create a contrast in their works which readers can draw conclusions from.
Even though Anne Bradstreet s religion was an important part of her life and has a prominent
presence in her work, it is easy to conclude that she has a hard ... Show more content on

Though, given that Taylor s Stock (303) is planted in the wedding knot, it could also be seen as
a more phallic symbol which is an interesting choice to make in a poem that focuses on the death
of a child. Regardless of the meaning of the stalk, for Taylor there is no mourning for the flower,
there is instead celebration on God taking from his stock, and celebration in having a new child.
Taylor is proud that God chose to take from him, which would align with his Puritanical views
that God punishes his chosen people. Taylor even encourages God to take more of his children
because they re Thine (304). Even though Taylor and Bradstreet have the same theological
response to loss, that it is the will of God, Taylor is the one to embrace it. He celebrates being
chosen and offers his other children as well. Unlike Bradstreet, Taylor has no doubts and no

Persian Architecture Essay
Comparing and Analyzing the Architecture in Ancient India and Persia In ancient civilizations,
architecture was fundamental to revealing certain aspects of a culture, such as its leaders and their
communication with the citizens. Rulers that controlled society utilized temples and buildings to
express their power and communicate with their subjects. Cultures were able to express their
abilities through architecture, along with their beliefs and the functionality of their society.
Architecture allowed cultures to leave behind physical evidence of their existence and further
display their ideologies, capabilities, and accomplishments. The exploration of architecture in
ancient Persia and Indiareveals many correlations between the two cultures. Ancient Persian
architecture displayed the Persians liberal policy, in incorporating diverse cultures, and their
intricate designs, most of which, relating to royalty. Meanwhile, ancient Indian architecture
exhibited close resemblance to Persian architecture, and the Indians also used their building as an
expression of royalty and the power that the ruler held.
The Persians borrowed from other conquered cultures because they lacked strong artistic traditions.
Persian architecture was known to include echoes of Egyptian temple Gates and hypostyle halls,
Hittite audience chambers, and Mesopotamian sculpted animal motifs ( Fazio ). The application of
outside cultural influences to Persian architecture signified that Persian architects

Clarification Request Strategy
Clarification: when using the clarification request strategy, the teacher basically delivers a message
to the student, indicating that there s an error in his utterance, so that the teacher s repeating is
required. When I teach English, I make extensive use of this method, because it (similar to explicit
correction) immediately signals the studentthat he made a mistake, and that he should correct
himself. Another reason I think this strategy works, is that it puts the student in a situation where
you are indicating that he had made a mistake, but you, as a teacher, do not explain to him what it
is, but let him deal with this question himself, and correct himself alone.
Repetition: this strategy, of repeating the student error in other intonation (usually a questioning
one) to alert the student that he made a mistake, is a significant and beneficial strategy, especially
when the amendment is made in front of the class. Humans can identify intonation, as well as the ...

in the group had to say a sentence about himself. When one of us was wrong syntax, grammar or

because the students get a real time correction, in context to what they read. That kind of correction
allows the teacher to ask the student to repeat what he said but in the correct

Lab Report On Gram-Negative Bacteria
In the world of microbiology it is vitally important to be able to discern the identities of
microorganisms. Not only is it important in a lab setting but as well as in healthcare in general.
Properly identify what strain of bacteria a person has will aid in the proper medicine and dose
given. Throughout the semester we have learned about different types of bacteriaand certain test
that can clearly identify them. The purpose of this lab report is to identify a Gram positive or
Gram negative bacterium. Using all the knowledge of procedures and lab techniques identify the
unknown and discuss all the tests you performed.
Introduction
Gram staining is a technique used to determine if the bacteria is Gram positive or Gram negative.
Gram staining procedure uses crystal violet stain, iodine moderator, alcohol decolorizer and safarin
counter stain. In Gram negative bacteria the primary stain will be washed out with the decolorizer
and it will be stained with the counterstain. Whereas in Gram positive bacteria the primary stain
will not leave the cell wall. This difference comes from difference in the structure of the cell wall
that retains the stain.
The Gram positive cell wall is composed of peptidoglycans, a thick layer of protein sugar
complexes taking up 60 90% of their cell wall. Peptidoglycan is composed of two glucose
derivatives, N acetylmuramic acid and N acetylglucosamine alternated and cross linked by
tetrapeptides that is composed of L alanine, D glutamine, L lysine

Diagnosis And Classification Of Myeloproliferative And...
Myeloproliferative and myelodysplastic syndromes, two diverse groups of bone marrow disorders,
are respectively characterized by an overproliferation or ineffective production of various blood
cells. The clinical laboratory plays a prominent role in the diagnosis and classification of
myeloproliferative and myelodysplastic disorders, each of which presents a unique set of
morphologic, pathophysiologic, and genetic traits. The contemporary diagnosis and categorization
of these syndromes emphasizes a combination of hematologic bone marrowcharacterization and
gene mutation studies.
HEMATOLOGIC CHARACTERISTICS OF MYELOPROLIFERATIVE NEOPLASMS
Myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs) are characterized by the proliferation of one or more cell
types of the myeloid lineage, including erythroid, granulocytic, monocytic, or megakaryocytic
lineages. These disorders are clonal and originate from a single pluripotent hemapoietic stem cell
(Hubbard, 2011). MPNs have a slow onset and are mainly diagnosed in adults between 45 and 55
years of age. Clinical symptoms include anemia, weight loss, lack of energy, spleen enlargement,
fever, and bruising (Hubbard, 2011).
The major diagnostic criterion for chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML) is the presence of the
Philadelphia chromosome (Ph+), a reciprocal translocation between chromosomes 9 and 22, and
the presence of the BCR/ABL1 fusion gene. Peripheral blood shows leukocytosis ( 100Г—109
WBC/L), a predominance of myelocytes and segmented neutrophils

What is low back pain.
Lower back pain can be defined as pain felt in the lower back. If you were to draw a horizontal
line that divides the back into two equal parts, the lower back in this regard would be back to
start slightly below this line (about 2 cm) and ending at the waist. The pain in this area can be
acute, sudden onset and may limit or interfere with daily activity. It can also be a dull pain that
sometimes occurs near the waistline, and thigh, leg or foot (sciatica). The pain is limited to the
back without radiating down the leg is most common. Lower back pain can be classified as:
Acute back pain This is usually is sudden onset and lasts a few days or weeks, usually no more than
6 weeks.
Pain chronic lumbar refers to pain that lasts more than three months. Pain can be a persistent dull
pain constant, can be progressive, or can only be aggravated by certain activities.
Low back pain (sometimes known as lumbago) is one of the most common complaints that
patients have in the department of patients outside. About 55% of all visits to the orthopedic
clinic will be related to back pain. Although the condition is more common in older people, it can
also occur in younger people, but the predisposing factors and the causes may be different in
relation to age group. (See back pain you need to know for details on the causes)

Elasticity Of Demand And Supply
Elasticity of Demand and Supply
INTRODUCTION:
Elasticity : In Economics, how responsive an economic variable is to a change in another is the
measurement of elasticity. It is an unit free measure. By using Elasticities, we can measure the two
markets of price and quantity. The difference among markets can be quantified by the economist
using elasticities without the measurement of the units. It is the responsiveness of one variable
(demand or supply) to a change in another (e.g. cost). This idea is basic to appreciating how
advertises function. The most widely recognized versatilities utilized incorporate value flexibility
of interest, value flexibility of supply, cross value flexibility of interest and pay flexibility of
interest.
The Equation of Elasticity is = % of change in quantity / % of change in price.
Elasticity of Demand :
Elasticity of Demand also referred to as Price Elasticity of Demand in Economic measures is based
on the effect of how the quantity demanded is changed when there is change in the price. With
respect to price it is the quantity demanded responsiveness degree. For example lets consider a
case in the below figure, where there is elastic demand when the curve is almost flat. You can see
that, the quantity decreases a lot if there is a change in price from $.75 to $1. There can be many
reasons for this On the off chance that demand is extremely inelastic, then vast changes in cost won
t do particularly to the amount requested. For example,

The Power Of Magnetism And Electricity Since Ancient Times
Introduction:
Mankind has been aware of the presence of magnetism and electricity since ancient times.
Prehistoric man observed instances of lightning and static electricity, as well even creating a
primitive version of the compass. Magnetism wasn t officially discovered until the late 16th
Century, and it would be even longer until scientists learn to wield electricity for demonstrations in
the 18th Century. Now, three hundred years later, we are combining these two forces to enhance
transportation across the globe. From underground subway systems, all electric cars and even hover
cars, electromagnetism has revolutionized the way we get around.
Once the concepts of electricity and magnetism were grasped, it did not take long for automobile
manufacturers to begin to use electricity and magnetism to improve their products. Before the
starter motor was implemented, engines had to be manually primed by the use of a hand crank.
Not only was this a bothersome inconvenience to automobile owners, but it was dangerous as well.
Any number of injuries could be sustained from a back firing engine. As engines became larger and
more powerful, it also became more physically demanding to start them, making it almost
impossible for those with any sort of handicap to operate without assistance.

In 1896, in East Peckham, England, H.J. Dowsing installed the first electric starter on an Arnold,

Determining Your Writing Style
It may come as a surprise to many, but writing is no longer about the writer and is solely about the
reader. When writing anything, whether it be a press release, a newspaper article, or even an
informative essay, the only person that should be considered is the one that is going to read and
draw conclusions from the writing. The ultimate point of one s writing is to benefit one s reader
through understanding them, writing clearly and concisely, refusing to use methods that mislead
them, and refusing to present information that has no basis of truth.
There are many ways to strengthen one s writing. The best way for writers to optimize their writing

Methods of propaganda and doublespeak mislead the reader so they can no longer form educated
opinions about the topic. Audiences are expected to be critical and to know how to challenge and
to question, how to make distinctions between propaganda and reasonable argument (Cross, 1977,
p. 150). This expectation is unreasonable because it is the writer s responsibility to not use
misleading methods and to voice his or her opinion without using subtle techniques of persuasion.
Writers should, therefore, avoid using any techniques of propaganda, such as name calling,
glittering generalities, argumentum ad populum, transfer, card stacking, or any of the other

should be avoided by all writers. Doublespeak, as defined in the essay The World of Doublespeak
by William Lutz (1989), is language which pretends to communicate but doesn t, language which
makes the unpleasant attractive, or at least tolerable , and through doing this, it conceals and
prevents one s actual thoughts (p. 178). Doublespeak shrouds and averts thought and should be
avoided by all writers. Not only is a writer who uses doublespeak concerned with distracting the

Bilbo s Quotes From The Hobbit
This is the END. I am going. I am leaving NOW. GOODBYE! (32)
This quotation occurs in the beginning of Book 1, in the middle of Chapter 1, at the end of
Bilbo s inevitable after dinner speech. Bilbo is giving a speech to his 144, or One Gross, closest
family and friends during his and Frodo s birthday party. It is Bilbo s 111th birthday and Frodo s
33rd. Together, their age is 144, hence the 144 guests for this speech. This speech, while
expected at a Birthday Party, is Bilbo s way of escaping for another, possibly last, adventure and
a way for Bilbo to play a joke on the residents of the Shire. This quote occurs immediately before
the last time that Bilbo will use the One Ring, although he does not know yet of the ring s evil
nature. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Basin showed something that could happen, that had happened, or was currently
happening. Frodo saw the eye of Sauron in the basin and knew what it was even though he had
not heard of Sauron as an eye before. He knew that the eye was looking for him and the One
Ring. After seeing this in the basin, he noticed a ring on Lady Galadriel s hand and knew that
her ring was one of the rings given to the elves. Realizing what he had seen and what he noticed,
she explained that her ring kept them safe. It also kept the Golden Wood golden and preserved
the ancient feeling in the wood. She went on to explain that Frodo s coming meant the end of the
Golden Wood. If he failed, then Sauron would have control over Lady Galadriel s ring and thus
over the Golden Wood, but if he succeeded, then there was no grantee that her ring would work
without the power of the One Ring. Either way, her kingdom was lost. Even with this guarantee,
she and her people helped Frodo and the Fellowship on their journey. She showed her true nature
for good by supporting the eradication of evil, even at the cost of her

Essay on Technology in Greg Bear s Blood Music
Technology in Greg Bear s Blood Music Different genres of literature are particular responses to
society; therefore, cyberpunk, as a genre, is a response to our contemporary society, known as the
information age. One of the attributes given the genre is that it has an apocalyptic or post
apocalyptic tone, warning the reader of the perils of technology, while at the same time
celebrating the possibilities of technology, usually through a strong character in the novel. In Greg
Bear s Blood Music, technology is seen as having a destructive and creative forces as it reshapes
the world biologically, and incorporates every living thing, including a slow girl named Suzy, into
the system. Blood Music demonstrates the perils and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although the idea of having a world without sickness, age, and death seems appealing, Greg Bear
approaches the idea from the what if perspective of something going wrong that could be
detrimental to the whole of society. In Bear s novel, Vergil, an ingenious scientist, creates smart
cells from his own body, going behind the experiments of his company which is trying desperately
to develop the nanotechnology that we are trying to achieve in our own time, and creates natural
cells that can think on their own to manipulate their environment and make it better. Only, when the
cells realize the problems within the living system and begin to change things, it is more that
Virgil bargained for. Each cell from every other living thing is incorporated and melted into an
alternate society, making each cell sentient, but also part of a communal group, sharing DNA, and
ultimately throughout the information transference, making each individual a part of the genetic
whole. Because Virgil s creation ended the world as we know it through the use of technology, it
can be seen as the dark, forbidding text common to cyberpunk fiction. People are melting down
into sheets of skin and cities are stopping like broken down cities, only to be enveloped by the
floating masses of paper thin cells that think for themselves, and yet share information and thoughts
indiscriminately. Each person is loosing a sense of themselves, breaking down into

Discuss the Reasons We Forget, and Give at Least Three...
Memory refers to the processes that are used to store, retain and later retrieve information; these
processes are known as encoding, storage and retrieval. However with memory comes the natural
phenomenon of forgetting which refers to the inability to regain, recall or recognise information
that was, or still is, stored in long term memory. There are many reasons that we forget information
but these can be grouped into four main categories; retrieval failure, interference, failure to store
and motivated forgetting (Loftus 1999). Although there are also many strategies that we can use in
order to improve our memory.
Retrieval failure is one of the most common causes of forgetting and one possible explanation of
this is known as the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Overall it s difficult to study scientifically whether repression is the cause of memory loss for
negative events that have occurred (Holmes 1990). Amnesia is known to be one of the most
significant types of forgetting. This occurs when someone suffers memory loss due to special
conditions such as brain injury, illness or psychological trauma . In his book Human Memory:
Theory and Practice (1997) Baddeley refers to Amnesia as not an all or nothing condition in the
sense that amnesiacs can appear to be relatively normal. He speaks of a man called Clive
Wearing who, after being stricken with encephalitis causing him to be unconscious for many
weeks from an attack, suffered from Amnesia. Although Clive looked healthy his Amnesia was
so severe he couldn t remember more than a few minutes earlier, when his wife left the room on
her return he would greet her as if he d just woken from his coma despite it being months after.
Another type of forgetting is Dementia when impaired memory and other cognitive deficits
accompany brain degeneration and interfere with normal functioning. There are many causes of
dementia one of which being Alzheimer s disease which is a progressive brain disorder most
commonly found among people over the age of sixty five. This disease spreads across temporal
lobes to the frontal lobes and other cortical regions and as it progresses working and long term
memory get worse. Although there will be

Theme Of Gimpel The Fool
Herode Decius Professor Dr. Kathleen Tamayo Alves English 102PNT1 08 November 2017
Feeling a Sense of Acceptance and Belonging In the hierarchy of needs, belonging is introduced
as a necessity needed to survive, yet often overlooked by society. We develop our own set of
values and morals in which we conform. These values develop throughout our life cycle from
childhood into adulthood and varies from person to person by affiliations, religious beliefs and
interactions with groups we belong to. In, Isaac Bashevis Singer s Gimpel the fool, the author s use
of heavy irony, the author suggests that a sense of belonging can emerge from the connections
made with people, places and the larger world. It ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The narrator s description of himself presents a series of conflicts between how he views himself
and the society he lives in. To hint at that conflict, the author uses irony in a work, he has the
character act naГЇve and ignorant to create the wise character of Gimpel , I am Gimpel the fool. I
don t think myself a fool. On the contrary, But that s what folks call me (745). This illustrates a
wise man that is well aware of the label given to him but deliberately accepted it. It is also ironic
when his wife, Erka, tells Gimpel that he is the father of the child she had four months after
their marriage, He seemed to accept her explanation of the child being premature, but then
admits, to tell the plain truth, I don t believe her... but then, who really knows how such things
are (749)? He continues, I believed them, and I hope that did them some good (749). This shows
at what length he d go through to feel accepted by his wife despite what he had to endure from
being cheated on to learning that the kids weren t his right before her death. It also shows the
reader, despite that Gimpel was being mistreated, he did not let that influence on how he
perceived himself as a person or changed his views and beliefs on the world; other people s
approach toward him and opinions did not matter. Instead of seeking revenge or showing them that
he is not a fool, he said, One can t pass through life unscathed (750). Through the sadness, he had

Lincoln and the Republicans
The Civil War was a war that was fought over the civil and humane treatment of every person,
regardless of their outward appearances. It left a scathing scar on the nation After the atrocities that
were suffered in the Civil war, the nation need a way to heal it s wounds and unite again. Lincoln
had a battle of his own to fight within the congress for the Reconstruction of the nation, While
Lincoln believed that the south had suffered enough and had a long road to recovery, the radical
republicans wanted to punish the south. They believed that the act of secession by the southern
states was treason and the penalties should be strict. Lincoln s plan was amiable and compassionate.
He wanted to unite the states swiftly with little... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Lastly, according to Johnson, any finances that had been borrowed for the cause of fighting could
not be repaid. Both of the positions on Reconstruction are not without merit. Each one wanted a
pledge of unity from the Confederacy to ensure that secession would not happen. The country
would not survive another separation. The republican also had a respectable view in that the
country was formed as the United States of America. Yet, the south seceded when they felt
threatened. Their proposals were harsh with good reasoning to back it as if the majority of a state
agrees then there is less chance of the state seceding or not keeping the oaths that were made.
Lincoln just wanted the country to get the country going again quickly because it had practically
ground to a halt because of the war. Little did Lincoln know that the battle for the freedmen would
continue for generations.

You have just been contacted via telephone by Jane Doe, a 40 year old female who would like to meet with you to discuss the possibilities of obtaining your personal training services. Which paperwork will you complete with her and why? Based on her goals, which fitness tests will you perform? Will nutrition advice be included in your assessment process? Why or why not? Some paperwork I will have Jane complete is a health appraisal screening. This is to help identify known diseases and possible risk factors associated with coronary artery disease and question if Jane may need medical referral before starting the exercise program. I would have Jane fill out a Par Q (physical activity readiness questionnaire) form which identifies if individuals are healthy enough to start training or if they need additional medical attention. Another form I would have her fill out is the health/medical questionnaire. This form identifies any diseases, personal medical history, health concerns, medication and lifestyle management. I would then proceed to ask Jane questions to gather a lifestyle inventory so I can understand some of her daily habits and figure if she has any behaviors that are positively or negatively impacting her health. I would ask questions about her diet, stress management, physical activity, and sleep pattern. I ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 4. Pros And Cons Of Nuclear Fusion Development of alternative energy sources is ever growing. One such source, nuclear fusion, is gaining increasing prominence in the energy world. The principles of nuclear fusion provide the opportunity of incredible energy production. This review covers the concepts, current prospects, and the challenges and future developments necessary for the realization of nuclear fusionas a power source. Tremendous research and development has already occurred into the realization of fusion. Two popular mechanisms are studied: Magnetic Confinement Fusion (MCF) and Inertial Confinement Fusion. MCF utilizes magnetic entrapment of superheated plasma in a device known as a tokamak to achieve fusion conditions. ICF utilizes ablation and compression techniques in... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These issues combine to place an unfavorable light on the potential of nuclear power. Nuclear fission, however, is not the only source of nuclear power. Nuclear fusion is another method which offers the potential to combat some of the ailments of nuclear fission in addition to providing long lasting power. Nuclear fusion offers several benefits to energy industry. Among the benefits of fusion power is that fusion fuel is readily available, power produced is reliable, has a low environmental impact, does not produce fissile materials, and carries the same terror risk as conventional fossil fuel plants [6]. To understand why some of these benefits are true, an understanding of the science behind nuclear fusion is necessary. To start, nuclear reactions involve the protons and neutrons contained in the nucleus of an atom. This is different from how chemical reactions, like the burning of fossil fuels, involve the electrons of an atom. In nuclear fission reactions, heavier elements are torn apart. The resulting products are more stable than the reactant, and energy is ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Animal Rights At Factory Farms Madison Bowdish Dr. Brian Onishi PHIL 229 15 Dec 2016 Animal Rights in Factory Farms The idea that industrial farming is bad for the environment is well known, but what people do not think about is horrible practice of factory farms within industrial farming. Factory farms are inhumane and not only because the animal is being slaughtered, but because of the way the animals are treated before the are killed. A person would think that if they were to be innocently killed that they would want to be treated with respect and dignity before they die. In this paper, I will argue that animals have rights through a utilitarian view and that they should not be treated in an inhumane way. The framework I plan to discuss is Peter Singer s utilitarian view on animal rights. A general idea of what utilitarianismis can be described as the need for the many outweigh the needs of a few, or majority rule when it comes to happiness. Singer s criteria for how a being gets rights is based on the ability to feel pleasure or pain. With this criteria it allows people who are mentally handicapped, the senile, and babies to have rights (Hozien). Most would agree that it would be cruel to not give these people rights, so Singer argues that since animals can feel pain and pleasure they also have rights. Although he believes that they should be treated equal he does admit that there is a range or difference of pain. He equates this to racism or in this case speciesism. For instance he states that ... It is through media sources such as these that have enabled communication among people on a global scale along with uniting people with similar interests and ideas together in a positive manner. Social networking became easier with the innovation of smartphones, by making social media more accessible than its initial phases. However, in social networking s earliest stages social media sites were created with the purpose of helping people stay linked together despite the distance separating each other. During that time, the only means of using these networking sites were by having access to a computer. Without the easy accessibility to computers, people back then could carry on with everyday life tasks without social networking distracting us from the life around us. Despite social media not fully taking off until the booming of mobile devices, the earliest known form of social media is believed to have been created in 1995 by way of Classmates.com. Eventually being followed by networks such as Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest (Social Media). Unfortunately networking quickly changed in the 2010s when smartphones became more common and social media sites began to release their products as mobile applications or apps (Social Media). In this day and age in which some school age children are gifted mobile devices almost everyone can get their hands on social media. It has become so easy to stay communicated by means of these social media apps that we are starting to forget how to interact among each other. We are moving away from face to face ... • 8. Nurture Plays a More Dominant Role in Human s Development... Humans are unique and intricate creatures and their development is a complex process. It is this process that leads people to question, is a child s development influenced by genetics or their environment? This long debate has been at the forefront of psychology for countless decades now and is better known as Nature versus Nurture. The continuous controversy on whether or not children develop their psychological attributes based on genetics (nature) or the way in which they have been raised (nurture) has pondered the minds of psychologists for years. Through thorough experiments, studies, and discussions however, it is easy to see that nurture is far more important in the development of a human than nature. The Nature versus Nurture argument can be traced back many millenniums ago. In 350 B.C., philosophers asked the same question on human behaviour. Plato and Aristotle were two philosophers that each had two diverse views on the matter. Plato believed that knowledge and behaviour were due to inherent factors, but environmental factors still played a role in the equation. Conversely, Aristotle had different views. He believed in the idea of Tabula Rasa. The Blank Slate theory supported the nurture side of the argument and believed that everyone was born with a Tabula Rasa , Latin for Blank Slate . He proposed that people learn and acquire ideas from external forces or the environment . In other words, he believed that the mind is a blank slate and it is our ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

[Screenshot6] And here you have those size options that we looked at earlier and we have got the ability for thumbnail, medium large and as you can see its updated the dimensions so that the width there is always going to be that max width of 300 but the height is the one that s going to change so we don t have disproportionate images because if we uploaded an image and if we wanted a square 300x300 we can t do that with an image of size 1200x630. For example, his signature use of black and white paints for the image itself and a very bold color such as red for magnifying the text. His art also brings up very controversial topics that most of his audience fail to realize or recognize. • 12. Commonalities in Religions The pre Columbian religions found outside of Eurasia were wildly diverse, but they nearly always emphasized a few basic beliefs. Perhaps this was because they stemmed from a similar progenitor religion in the distant past, perhaps they picked up on some basic part of the human psyche. While there were many differences in the intricacies of the religions of Polynesia, the Andes, and Mesoamerica, they all shared a polytheistic faith, a belief that gods are derived from nature, and a belief that sacrificewas needed to maintain the natural order of the world. In polynesia, the dominant pre columbian religionwas animism the belief that all things have some sort of spiritual power. In Polynesia, this power was called mana (Encyclopedia Britannica). Polynesians believed that this spiritual power, this mana, could be negated by human actions. As a result of this, many tapu (brought into English as taboo) were set up in order to prevent humans from upsetting the natural order of the world. As with their neighbors in Mesoamerica, the polynesians believed in a form of human sacrificeto right the unbalance in the mana of a person or a thing. This was especially clear when someone walked over the shadow of a chief or a noble. It was thought that this would damage the mana of the person and only the death of the offender would correct this unbalance. The inner city residents will probably be given vouchers for Section 8 housing in less desirable areas in the city where jobs and transportation are scarce. As for the later, in the next ten years Atlanta will go from predominantly black and liberal landscape to a more white conservative population, if we aren t including or afforded the benefits of gentrification. The exodus of the Black poor and working class to the suburbs, will in effect lead to the loss of Black politicians and old time supporters of the old Atlanta. Will gentrification radically alter a neighborhood? Does so called cleaning up really change anything, or is it just straightening it up , making it look more attractive for visitors. There are many ways in which a person learns; learning can be defined as a change in behavior due to past experiences. As well, there are different approaches to learning such as; behaviorism, cognitivism, connectivism and constructivism. Many aspects of my life have formed my epistemological assumptions such as family, friends, community, education and my own experiences. Epistemologyis defined as the theory of knowledge, with respect to its methods, validity, and scope; it is the inquiry of what discerns acceptable belief from opinion (Bates, 2015, section 2.2.1, para 1). I feel that I connect best with experiential cognitivism since I prefer to experience information before internalizing and relating it with what I know to be true. I will draw upon my past experiences to illustrate my position as I have come to understand myself as an experiential cognitivist, which situates within the epistemology of pragmatism. Pragmatism is defined as a practical approach to problems or matters. As William James states in his book Pragmatism, A New Name for Some Old Ways of Thinking He (pragmatism) turns towards concreteness and adequacy, towards facts, towards action, and towards power (para 12, Lecture II What Pragmatism Means). Persian Architecture Essay Comparing and Analyzing the Architecture in Ancient India and Persia In ancient civilizations, architecture was fundamental to revealing certain aspects of a culture, such as its leaders and their communication with the citizens. Rulers that controlled society utilized temples and buildings to express their power and communicate with their subjects. Cultures were able to express their abilities through architecture, along with their beliefs and the functionality of their society. Architecture allowed cultures to leave behind physical evidence of their existence and further display their ideologies, capabilities, and accomplishments. The exploration of architecture in ancient Persia and Indiareveals many correlations between the two cultures. Ancient Persian architecture displayed the Persians liberal policy, in incorporating diverse cultures, and their intricate designs, most of which, relating to royalty. Meanwhile, ancient Indian architecture exhibited close resemblance to Persian architecture, and the Indians also used their building as an expression of royalty and the power that the ruler held. The Persians borrowed from other conquered cultures because they lacked strong artistic traditions. Clarification Request Strategy Clarification: when using the clarification request strategy, the teacher basically delivers a message to the student, indicating that there s an error in his utterance, so that the teacher s repeating is required. When I teach English, I make extensive use of this method, because it (similar to explicit correction) immediately signals the studentthat he made a mistake, and that he should correct himself. Another reason I think this strategy works, is that it puts the student in a situation where you are indicating that he had made a mistake, but you, as a teacher, do not explain to him what it is, but let him deal with this question himself, and correct himself alone. Repetition: this strategy, of repeating the student error in other intonation (usually a questioning one) to alert the student that he made a mistake, is a significant and beneficial strategy, especially when the amendment is made in front of the class. In Gram negative bacteria the primary stain will be washed out with the decolorizer and it will be stained with the counterstain. Whereas in Gram positive bacteria the primary stain will not leave the cell wall. This difference comes from difference in the structure of the cell wall that retains the stain. The Gram positive cell wall is composed of peptidoglycans, a thick layer of protein sugar complexes taking up 60 90% of their cell wall. The difference among markets can be quantified by the economist using elasticities without the measurement of the units. It is the responsiveness of one variable (demand or supply) to a change in another (e.g. cost). This idea is basic to appreciating how advertises function. The most widely recognized versatilities utilized incorporate value flexibility of interest, value flexibility of supply, cross value flexibility of interest and pay flexibility of interest. Elasticity of Demand : Elasticity of Demand also referred to as Price Elasticity of Demand in Economic measures is based on the effect of how the quantity demanded is changed when there is change in the price. With respect to price it is the quantity demanded responsiveness degree. For example lets consider a case in the below figure, where there is elastic demand when the curve is almost flat. You can see that, the quantity decreases a lot if there is a change in price from $.75 to $1. There can be many reasons for this On the off chance that demand is extremely inelastic, then vast changes in cost won t do particularly to the amount requested. For example, ... Dissociative Identity Disorder ( Mpd ) Dissociate Identity Disorder Marjorie Morales Troy University Dissociative identity disorder (DID), also known as multiple personality disorder (MPD), is still known today as one of the most controversial psychiatric diagnoses (Priya Siva, 2013). It indicates the existence of two or more identities or different personalities that repeatedly assumes control over the behavior of the person affected. In the majority of cases, dissociative identity disorder appears along with other symptoms, in which many times has been misdiagnosed (Ringrose, 2011). Repetitive childhood abuses are considered as the main cause of dissociative identity disorder (Fraser, 2014). The division of two or more identities can be understood as ... Dissociative identity disorder is characterized by the presence of two or more distinct identities or personality states that recurrently take control of the individual s behavior, accompanied by an inability to recall important personal information that is too extensive to be explained by ordinary forgetfulness (Ringrose, 2011). It is a disorder characterized by identity fragmentation, rather than proliferation of separate personalities (Fraser, 2014). Many people equate colloquially dissociative identity disorder and schizophrenia in a wrong way (Priya Siva, 2013). While in the case of schizophrenia can both be identification with another person within the framework of a megalomaniac in the identity disorder dissociative exist two or more personalities in a person (Priya Siva, 2013). A person with dissociative identity disorder does not react to the same medications used in the treatment of schizophrenia (Priya Siva, 2013). Traumas, during the early stages of human life span development are amongst the causes responsible for a dissociative identity disorder (Macintosh, 2013). Most of the individual s affected, suffered repeated physical or sexual abuse during childhood, were neglected and or even abandoned (Macintosh, 2013). In serious cases, many of these children were abused during rituals in sects or cult s (Macintosh, 2013). Major trauma experienced ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 38. The Power Of Magnetism And Electricity Since Ancient Times Introduction: Mankind has been aware of the presence of magnetism and electricity since ancient times. Prehistoric man observed instances of lightning and static electricity, as well even creating a primitive version of the compass. Magnetism wasn t officially discovered until the late 16th Century, and it would be even longer until scientists learn to wield electricity for demonstrations in the 18th Century. Now, three hundred years later, we are combining these two forces to enhance transportation across the globe. From underground subway systems, all electric cars and even hover cars, electromagnetism has revolutionized the way we get around. Once the concepts of electricity and magnetism were grasped, it did not take long for automobile manufacturers to begin to use electricity and magnetism to improve their products. Before the starter motor was implemented, engines had to be manually primed by the use of a hand crank. Not only was this a bothersome inconvenience to automobile owners, but it was dangerous as well. Any number of injuries could be sustained from a back firing engine. As engines became larger and more powerful, it also became more physically demanding to start them, making it almost impossible for those with any sort of handicap to operate without assistance. When writing anything, whether it be a press release, a newspaper article, or even an informative essay, the only person that should be considered is the one that is going to read and draw conclusions from the writing. The ultimate point of one s writing is to benefit one s reader through understanding them, writing clearly and concisely, refusing to use methods that mislead them, and refusing to present information that has no basis of truth. There are many ways to strengthen one s writing. The best way for writers to optimize their writing is through understanding their audience. In the essay Determining Your Writing Style (n.d.),... Audiences are expected to be critical and to know how to challenge and to question, how to make distinctions between propaganda and reasonable argument (Cross, 1977, p. 150). This expectation is unreasonable because it is the writer s responsibility to not use misleading methods and to voice his or her opinion without using subtle techniques of persuasion. Writers should, therefore, avoid using any techniques of propaganda, such as name calling, glittering generalities, argumentum ad populum, transfer, card stacking, or any of the other numerous ways to persuade people without their consent. Doublespeak is another technique that should be avoided by all writers. Doublespeak, as defined in the essay The World of Doublespeak by William Lutz (1989), is language which pretends to communicate but doesn t, language which makes the unpleasant attractive, or at least tolerable , and through doing this, it conceals and prevents one s actual thoughts (p. 178). Memory refers to the processes that are used to store, retain and later retrieve information; these processes are known as encoding, storage and retrieval. There are many reasons that we forget information but these can be grouped into four main categories; retrieval failure, interference, failure to store and motivated forgetting (Loftus 1999). Amnesia is known to be one of the most significant types of forgetting. This occurs when someone suffers memory loss due to special conditions such as brain injury, illness or psychological trauma . In his book Human Memory: Theory and Practice (1997) Baddeley refers to Amnesia as not an all or nothing condition in the sense that amnesiacs can appear to be relatively normal.
