10. Procedures in Repairing Damage PVC Pipes
● Turn off the water and cut out the damaged section of pipe
with a hacksaw or pipe cutter. Let the pipes drain.
● Remove or cut the defective section of pipe. Use
PVC cutters or hacksaw to remove at least 1 inch of
piping on either side of the leak.
● Apply PVC primer solvent to the inside of
each fitting and the outside of each pipe.
11. ● Allow the glue on the repaired pipe to cure for at least
15 minutes.
● Insert the pipe into the fitting with a twisting motion. Hold
the newly formed joint together firmly for 10 seconds to
prevent slippage.
● Turn on the water and check for leaks.
