(Ouchi 1980; Dolan Garcia 2002) than by rules. Organizational culture may be deп¬Ѓned as an
interdependent set of shared values and ways of behaving that are common to the organization
and tend to perpetuate themselves (Kotter Heskett 1992). Organizational culture has been
assumed to have important implications, not only for the individual s affective reactions to
organizational life, but also for the organizational performance (Kotter Heskett 1992; Harris
Mossholder 1996; Dwyer et al. 2000; Kemp Dwyer 2001; Dolan Garcia 2002; Tepeci Bartlett
2002). Chan et al. (2004) have suggested that organizational culture can be a valuable resource for
companies, especially for service industries. In spite of the obvious call for knowledge about
organizational culture and performance in the restaurant and hospitality industry, relatively little

Introduction In the United States there are numerous Americans that suffer from Type 2 Diabetes,
too much sugar intake, and being overweight. Additionally, there are numerous debates as to which
sweetener, honey, fructose, or high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) is consequentially better for
people. Many argue that each have different metabolic effects on individuals, while other experts
claim all three have basically the same effects. While this topic is quite controversially and a fairly
new concept, most experts and researchers tend to agree that reducing any type of sugarintake can

being cruel because they believed they were simply following orders and still fighting a personal
conflict which is to respond or not to a situation, while still conforming to the norms of social

promises to preserve His words (Psalms 12:6 7). In addition, He commands to not add or take away

Formal equivalency is a word for word translation where it is conservative which translates
words as accurate as possible from the first language. Dynamic equivalency is meaning for
meaning or phrase to phrase . This means that the translator is writing down the best paraphrase
he could make based on his own judgment. This is dangerous because you have to trust his
understanding of what the text is saying rather then you making the interpretation. This is
beneficial because it is easy to read and follow but has many doors open to skewed meanings.
Jennifer Beatson, in the journal titled, Christian Scholar s Review Issue 34.1 of fall 2004, She
reviews The Word of God in English: Criteria for Excellence in Bible Translation by Leland
Ryken. Ryken cites the trends leading to a large growing of English Bible translations, and the
need to evaluate their merits. One of his main criticisms is the dynamic equivalence used in
practically all modern translations. He claims that these works, (1) they lack literary excellence,
and (2) they do not faithfully translate the original biblical texts (Beatson 134). He holds that only
formal or word for word translations should be used because they hold true to the original text and
author. Beatson states that Ryken goes back into the history of the English Bible and demonstrates
