film, Atanarjuat and Amaqjuaq discuss the shortages of caribou in the area while the supply of seal

This study focuses in on the topic of territoriality and intrusion in public spaces; more specifically this
study focuses in on the effect of families with children on territoriality and intrusion in public spaces
(e.g. parking lots). Territoriality can be defined as the protection of a temporary created space, wherein
the creator of the space claims ownership and occupancy on the area. We operationally defined
territoriality: it is the time it takes for a participant (driver) to contact with the car (start timer) to the
time (in seconds) it takes for the participant s front bumper to leave the parking space. This definition
can also be stated as departure time.
Intrusion can be defined as the presence of an intruder who has the desire to enter a temporary created
space that is owned by another person. Intrusion is operationally defined so that when the participant
comes into contact with their vehicle, the participant understands that there is another driver(s) who
will take their claimed parking space right after they leave.
Our hypothesis is that families with children will take more time (more territorial) to leave a parking
space. The opposite will also be true, participants without children will take less time to leave a
parking space while the trend of increased territoriality because of intrusion remains for both

Horse Winner by D.H. Lawrence is a symbolic short story that represents the idea that the more one s
values lie with material goods the less one is able to connect with reality or the intangible tenets of
life. This perspective is supported throughout the story by the direct characterization of Hester and
Paul, the use of personification and similes and in the rising action to the conclusion s gradual release

Deep Brain Stimulation
Parkinson s disease is a severe movement disorder that affects 1% of people aged 60 or over (Samii,
Nutt, Ransom, 2004). However, no cure has been found for Parkinson s disease so far, while different
treatments have been constantly trialed to mitigate the disease. Deep brain stimulation is a
neurosurgical intervention that has been used in the treatment of movement disorders including
Parkinson s disease over the past three decades. Although it is has been widely used in clinical
practice, the safety and efficacy of deep brain stimulation are still being debated.
The author believes that deep brain stimulation is not an effective treatment for Parkinson s disease
and that it still requires further investigation and examination. In this paper, the author discusses three
main issues of deep brain stimulation in the treatment of Parkinson s disease. Firstly, deep brain
stimulation may lead to negative effects on patients cognition, emotion and behavior. Secondly,
implanted hardware devices increase the risks of surgical complications of deep brain stimulation
