Compartment Syndrome Analysis
Compartment Syndrome is a condition where there is an increase of pressure within a confined area
that is detrimental to the circulation and function of the tissues in the area (Grossman et al., 2014).
Fascia, a dense connective tissue, surrounds and separates the muscles and nerves into compartments
in the extremities. These fasciae provide sites of attachment for muscles, maintain the positioning of
muscle groups during motion and during contraction improve the mechanical advantage of the muscle
(Von Keudell et al., 2015). These fasciae create a low compliance, defined anatomical area with their
dense fibrous nature. These defined anatomical areas have a finite volume, meaning that it can only
endure a finite pressure (Rekha, 2010). A compartmental

Comparative Evaluation Of Anaesthetic Efficacy Of...
Title: Comparative evaluation of anaesthetic efficacy of articaine and lignocaine using a single buccal
infiltration for extraction of primary molars Introduction: An important aspect of patient management
in dentistry is pain control, which is mainly achieved using local anaesthetic drugs (PD). Lidocaine
being the safest is the most commonly used (JMOS) and has served as a gold standard in local
anaesthetic drugs for the past 50 years (pd). It has revolutionized pain control in dentistry since it was
introduced in late 1940s (Malamed). It is an amide anaesthetic with a short onset of action and an
intermediate duration of anaesthesia when associated with adrenaline(BDJ). Local anaesthetic
injections trigger pain and anxiety in children, employing lidocaine for palatal injection is considered
as more painful, because palatal mucosa is compact and tightly bound to the underlying periosteum.
Also, mild to moderate pain of the palatal injection is relatively poorly tolerated due to the abundant
nerve supply in palatal tissue (PD). The Inferior alveolar nerve block (IANB) is principally employed
to obtain local analgesia for children s mandibular posterior teeth. It has been reported that the IANB
has the highest level of patient discomfort when compared with infiltration, palatal injection, mental
nerve block or periodontal ligament injections. The child s behaviour towards subsequent dental
treatment can be negatively influenced by an unpleasant treatment experience

Milestones in Federal Gun Control Legislation
A growing number of publicized tragedies caused by gun violence have caused a great stir in the
American community. Recently, President Barack Obama has made proposals to tighten the regulation
of and the restrictions on the possession of weapons in America to lessen these tragedies. Should the
legislative branch decide in favor of his proposals, all American citizens who do or wish to own the
type of weapons in question or who use current loopholes in existing policy would be directly
affected. His proposals, which are to require background checks for all gun sales, strengthen the
background check system for gun sales, pass a new, stronger ban on assault weapons, limit
ammunition magazines to 10 rounds, finish the job of getting ... Show more content on

It is for this bias that they may not be seen as a reputable source of fact on the issue. Why would they
show the horrors of gun violence when their organization revolves around guns, many liberals ask.
While organizations may be an unreliable source of reason due to the impact that resulting laws may
have on them, they still propose valid points.
Obama s proposals function on one of the oldest, fundamental goals of government: to provide order
and security to those governed. By requiring universal background checks, those deemed unfit to
possess a firearm would not legally have a way to buy one and therefore the severity of the situation,
should one of these individuals act on any rash thoughts, would be greatly reduced. The same would
be true if individuals who were able to possess firearms were only able to have ones of a less
ridiculous nature and with less ammunition to carry out any homicidal intentions. The right to ban
these dangerous and unusual weapons has already been ruled by the Supreme Court in the case of
District of Columbia v. Heller to be in accordance with the Constitution. In 1994, two laws were
passed which did these two things. However, due to loopholes, they were less effective than intended.
Even still, statistical information shows that since the year they were passed, there has been a steady

Design and Methods Using a modified survey by Engelbrecht and Mahembe (2013), the following
hypotheses were addressed:
Hypothesis 1: The facilitation of on the job learning and the transfer of knowledge occurs when
employees perceive leader support.
Hypothesis 2: Organizational learning was conducive to employee growth and development.
Hypothesis 3: Servant leadership environments aid the transfer of knowledge by building a culture of
learning whereby employees perceived the value of learning.
Hypothesis 4: Employee growth and development was positively associated with organizational
performance.
Hypothesis 5: Leading by example or mentoring resulted in employees mimicking positive

These individuals are employees of Chick fil A, Freehold Raceway Mall, Freehold, New Jersey, an
organization whose leadership style is that of servant leaders. The second part of this investigation
focused on training as an antecedent of organizational performance in a servant leadership
environment. Dr. Herb Shaffer (Institute for Servant Leadership), Dr. Bill Jones (Area Director for the
Church of God in Michigan) and Dr. Rebecca New Edson (Area Director for the Church of God in
Western Pennsylvania), professional trainers were also interviewed. These interviews were comprised
of questions focusing on training in a servant leadership environment and the impact on organizational
performance. Discussions and Results section of this research paper outline the findings.
Limitations
A limitation of this research may be the length of time on the job and the relationship of trust
demonstrated by followers based on the trustworthy behaviors of the leader. The measurement of
emotional intelligence, which leads to trust, may be another factor that influenced the trust rating.
Analysis and Discussion Voluntary and anonymous surveys completed by eight out of twelve Chick fil
A employees focused on four areas that have a strong relationship with and evidence of employee
engagement and creating an organizational culture that is conducive to exciting organizational
citizenship behaviors. The results are as follows.

The Influence Of Cigarettes
The public s view of cigarettes has changed drastically over the years. Cigarettes have been used as a
stress reliever or as a status symbol since they were first created. Those who have enough money to
purchase cigarettes as a luxury are looked at as higher class citizens. People began striving to be
wealthier and more attractive in order to achieve the American dream. The growing popularity of
cigarettes for all genders was a massive boom for the tobacco industry. Prior to the age of 20 s, women
smoking in public were seen as a taboo and inappropriate. This view of women changed when
cigarette companies started using women as their main advertisers. During the roaring 1920s, women
were fighting for equality, and many women turned to cigarette smoking to make themselves look
sophisticated. One advertisement capitalizes on the urge women have to be skinny and uses it to sell
their cigarettes, while the other urges those to stop smoking in order to save their health. These two
advertisements promote opposite arguments of a commonly used product, cigarettes. Though from
different eras, they both use similar strategies to convince the audience to be for or against cigarette
smoking. My first advertisement is by the Lucky Strike Cigarette company from 1929. The center of
the advertisement contains a drawing of a caucasian woman with black short curly hair and rosy
cheeks. She looks to be in her 20 s. She is smoking a cigarette with her arms folded across her chest

Importance Of Sam In The Catskills
Sam had used many skills to survive in the Catskills. Some of them are kind of hard to do, but others
are simple. Three of the skills Sam had learned to use are burning out the inside of trees, making
makeshift fishing poles and finding his own bait, and finally making his own wooden instruments.
Sam used these in the story but that doesn t mean that they are actually possible. Also, some people
would ve used the same skills, but in their own ways. There are many skills Sam used, some were
burning out the inside of his tree to make room to live in, some helped him to gather food, and some
helped him to simply stay inside of a happy mood. The first skill I ve chosen is the technique Sam
used to figure out how to burn down the inside of his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some of these skills I personally wouldn t use. I would definitely use the burning out the trees
technique because you never know when you will have to clear out a road block or the entrance to a
stash you hid away. I might use the makeshift fishing pole skill because it s always fun to make
something then see it work well, plus I like doing entertaining things. For the instrument technique I
just probably wouldn t use it. I m not really a band person and It s not as useful as makeshift fishing
poles so I probably wouldn t use it. Next are the modifications I would use on the skills. Instead of just
randomly burning the inside of a tree into flames I would try and make separate parts of the tree. So if
one part of the tree goes into flames accidently I don t burn the whole tree down. Also for the fishing I
would try to make stronger or more advanced fishing poles and hooks. I would also test out different
bait than just worms. I would see which fish like a certain bug or bait. Then when I go fishing I would
see which fish I want to catch, then I would use that specific bait and have a better chance of catching
the fish I wanted. These may be how I would prefer using the skills, but how would you prefer them

Signet Jewelers Case Study
Signet Jewelers Limited, modern day s largest producer, distributor, and retailer of diamond jewelry, is
an extensive company spread over several branches of stores. The current Chief Executive Officer of
this company is Virginia C. Drosos, who the company appointed into her new position on the first of
August, 2017, in the place of Mark Light, who shortly prior had stepped down. Despite the fact that
Signet Jewelers is a very prominent seller in America, boasting several thousand stores both within
and without malls across the country, its center is located in Hamilton, Bermuda, putting it in British
territory. From there operates one of the most successful jewelry companies in recent history.
Signet Jewelers claims its origins as a single jewelry store in Surrey, England, first opened in 1949 by
Leslie Ratner. From this small beginning point, the company slowly acquired a host of other
successful jewelry chains, making it increasingly powerful and prominent. At first, all these chains
were in England, but eventually, it branched out to America as well, the country would eventually
prove to be its most successful market, and likely saved the company when, in the early 1990s, the
company seemed to hit a dead end. After a few years of rough and dubious times, in which the
company nearly rid itself of its failing UK branch, Signet Jewelers at last resurfaced and returned to
power with a vengeance, even acquiring another jewelry chain after roughly a decade of stagnancy.

Essay on Bluest eye
Toni Morrison s novel, The Bluest Eye, presents the lives of several impoverished black families in
the 1940 s in a rather unconventional and painful manner. Ms. Morrison leads the reader through the
lives of select children and adults, describing a few powerful incidents, thoughts and experiences that
lend insight into the motivation and. behavior of these characters. In a somewhat unconventional
manner, the young lives of Pauline Williams Breedlove and Charles (Cholly) Breedlove are presented
to the reader. Through these descriptions, the reader comes to understand how they become the kind of
adults they are. Background information is given not necessarily to incur sympathy but to lend
understanding.
The narrator makes the point that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Thus, Pauline s actions as an adult are more easily understood through this knowledge of her
childhood.
One of the most striking images is the description of Cholly Breedlove s is his memory of a picnic
where a family is enjoying a watermelon which the father smashes against a rock. Cholly is impressed
with the image of the father holding the melon high above his head like the devil holding the earth up,
ready to smash it. quot;He never felt anything thinking about God, hut just the idea of the devil
excited him. And now, the strong black devil was blotting out the sun and getting ready to smash open
the world. quot; This passage is a foreshadowing of Cholly s adult life. He is attracted to the idea of
power, strength and excitement and as a strong black adult, Cholly feels his freedom and uses it
against himself and his family.
Another powerful incident, Cholly s first sexual experience, gives insight into the rage, confusion and
tenderness he feels towards women in his adult life. The narrator describes the incident with Darlene
and the white men through Cholly s eyes. The reader understands the initial excitement of young
sexual energy, and the later humiliation of being caught by the cruel white men. Cholly directs his
anger towards Darlene rather than towards the white men

Comparing The ICTY And The International Criminal Tribunal...
At the end of the Cold War, a more widespread interest in post conflict reconstruction was becoming
more prevalent. The main components of this interest during the post reconciliation period were
accountability and reconciliation. To facilitate this in two different post conflict environments, two
respective tribunals were established. These tribunals were known as the ICTY (The International
Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, est.1993) and ICTR (International Criminal Tribunal for
Rwanda, est.1994) . The ICTY was formed to address the conflict in former Yugoslavia. The situation
started when two of the six republics of Yugoslavia, Slovenia and Croatia, declared their independence
after the fall of the Berlin Wall. This sparked a lengthy and lethal conflict within the territory. The
atrocities that allegedly had been committed included but were not limited to, genocide, rape, and
enslavement. Many of the victims were civilians. Because of this the ICTY was created during the war
as an international criminal court that applied humanitarian law. It s purpose was to gather
information, create an account of events, and prosecute those responsible for committing crimes .
The ICTY is considered the first international court. Since it was the first of it s kind, the court was not
without controversy. From the beginning, the method of establishing the tribunal was up for debate.
The ICTY did not have the legal authority to establish itself. Some states wanted a treaty to

Should Professional Athletes Get High Salaries
Athletes and Professional Entertainers Deserving High Salaries?
Many professional athletes and entertainers earn large sums of money. Do you agree or disagree with
these individuals making this kind of money? I agree with them earning high salaries because people
have the choice to pay money to see them. These people are not in it for the money. They do it because
this is what they love to do. They deserve the money and need it. They worked hard every day to do
what is need to keep on doing their career. They should not be punish or criticized for doing what they
want. They deserve the money for their hard work, dedication, and people should not get mad at them
and keep paying them.
My first reason I think they should keep making their high salaries because people are going to keep

that s how much it cost for them to keep on with their job. They deserve it because they worked hard

years to get as good as there are. They also wouldn t be able to be where they are. They deserve this
money for the years of work they have done and they need the money for the financial expenses of
going on tour or having an injury.
In conclusion, I agree that these people deserve their high salaries they receive. They don t only
deserve them the need them. People have they choice to pay and see them. If you disagree with them,
then why do people keep paying for them? People pay for cable which is literally full of professional

same things we need. They deserve the money they worked for Just like anyone else

Phoenix Community Development
Urban areas are usually grown upwards, but things did not seem to go that way for the city of Phoenix.
Phoenix has done nothing but expand thanks to the much endless desert space they are surrounded by.
Many suburban areas where created around Phoenix due to large amount of family homes built. Along
with all of the development and amount of time, Phoenix is actually now surrounded by 24 smaller
cities. A large amount of ecosystems where destroyed in order to build a lot of single family homes
and a lot of streets. A big reason for the Phoenix region growing outwards rather than upwards is
mostly due to land being priced very cheap and allowing larger margins of profits because homes are
not build until they have all been completely purchased by the customers. A great example of how the
city of Phoenix is expanding right now is the community named Anthem. It is a community in which
people don t really ever need to go out of their community because it has everything in it. In such
community there is nothing but single family homes with many wide streets. It is sort of a resort style
living, for it has many things in the community such as a golf course, many pools and parks, and many
fun things to do ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Due expansion, people tend to live much farther from places so this has created a heavy use of cars for
the citizens of Phoenix. This great use of vehicles and building of homes creates a lot of pollution for
the environment and kills off many natural systems. Also geographically Phoenix lives far away from
resources which then means they need to be delivered miles to Phoenix. Another main concern that
has gotten Phoenix attention is water. Phoenix main water source is the Colorado river. Water is a
limited resource but Phoenix seems to be growing at an uncontrollable rate while water is not so
sooner or later if they continue growing at this rate they will need to find an alternative for

Julius Caesar And The Civil War Essay
The Civil War, consisting in large part of Caesar s own account of the conflict between himself and
Pompey, explores the origins of the war, the manner in which it was carried out, and most importantly
the role of pivotal figures on both sides of the struggle. Prior to his records ending and
supplementation by military officers, Caesar makes a case for his involvement in and perhaps
triggering of the war, one which would transform the social and political landscape of the Roman
empire as battles and campaigns were waged from Spain to Italy, Africa to Asia Minor. Caesar walks a
fine line between historian, strategist and orator as he attempts to record historical events, martial
decisions, and persuade an audience respectively. Despite his efforts to remain impartial, as evidenced
by his admission that the Pompeians were winning at Dyrrachium, Caesar consistently presents
himself as a charismatic and skilled general and leader, jeopardizing the integrity of the text as
objective material and allowing it to be a propagandist account of sorts. Ultimately, Caesar uses
anecdotal evidence, the presentation of his personal thoughts, and juxtaposition with his opposition to
paint his side of the war in a positive and just light. When reading The Civil War, it is critical to
understand what Julius Caesar was attempting to accomplish by recording a narrative of his war, on
and off the battlefield, with Pompey and his forces. Every author creates their work with bias, be it

The Implications Of Oil Trade
Even the important contribution of Chapter 2, the proposed analysis requires a deeper study to
understand the implications related to oil trade and how the expected oil production will be consumed
by the demand. Considering only Canada for all the expected oil production from the Western
provinces doesn t seem enough. To achieve the forecasted production levels, producers of Western
Canadian oil must find a market that values their oil at reasonable price. Without access to seaports,
Alberta and Saskatchewan need to develop their transportation capacity to export this expected
production. The challenge related to the increasing availability of Western Canadian oil and its
distribution to domestic and international markets is imminent. Indeed, uncertainty in oil reserves and
production implies uncertainty on future trade movements, and consequently, on oil corridors. It is
now becoming a political, economic and national security matter that this oil finds access to other
markets and export opportunities (McKenna, 2013). As for their actual markets, maintenance on
existing pipelines and the necessity of upgrading refineries to process this crude oil from Western
Canada create bottlenecks upstream that increase the constraints to allow the expected growth. All
these challenges have economic implications that translate in a price differential. The oil production
surplus and the inability to reach external markets already have negative effects on oil prices for
Western Canadian

Billy Budd Analysis
Billy Budd is the story of the sailor Billy Budd and his time on the H.M.S Bellipotent during the last
decade of the 18th century, after being impressed from the previous ship he was on The Rights of Man
. He was seen as a handsome sailor , and was loved by his old crew. He was also innocent to a fault.
This man could not see the bad or suspicious in someone at all. In the context of this novel, he was the
purest good in this ship, which could also be seen as a microcosm of the world as it was. Billy as a
whole is seen mainly as a man without fault. He could do no wrong in his world, because he is the
personification of all that is good. This makes his one flaw, that being his stutter, the perfect aspect of
his being to show us of the dangers of innocence. The fact that he cannot bring words out to defend
himself against the malice tossed at him because his very being will not allow him to even
comprehend that there are people in the world with such ill intent. Ill intent does not exist to him, and
it ultimately proved to be his undoing. As if almost a flip of a coin, Claggart can be seen as the
complete opposite than that of Billy. An ugly man, in both the figurative and literal sense, Claggart s
innate malice is without cause or limit. While Billy lacks the awareness of the differences of human
actions and the intentions behind them, Claggart knows these differences all too well. He has a great
understanding of deception and ambiguity that he uses to hide his real

1999, 2001, 2003, 2005, and 2007. A pooled dataset of variables common across the years was created
(n= 64,270). Hypothesis: We hypothesize that the prevalence of body dissatisfaction and weight
control behaviors will increase over time. We predict prevalence differences based on gender,
ethnicity, and age. We also predict a correlation between body dissatisfaction and weight control
behaviors. Data Analysis: The YRBS uses a multistage probability sampling design. We conducted
univariate descriptive analysis with SPSS using case weights and multivariate hierarchical hypothesis
testing with AM Statistical Software, which takes into account correlated errors within sampling units
and utilizes design weights. Results: Consistency of body satisfaction and weight control behaviors
was found over time. White adolescents and females seem at high risk of body dissatisfaction and

Explain The Main Organs In The Urinary System
The main organs in the urinary system for mammals are the kidneys, which filter blood and produce
urine. The other organs such as the ureters, urinary bladder and the urethra are simply accessory
structures that help in the transport and storage of urine.
The kidneys of mammals are round, bean shaped organs. These kidneys are located at the posterior
end of the abdomen and outside of the peritoneum, which is the membrane that encloses the organs of
the abdominal cavity. The indentation found on the bean shaped part of the kidney is called the hilum,
this is where the renal artery enters the kidney and where both the renal vein and ureter exit. The
kidney is also divided into 2 regions, which is the outer cortex and the inner medulla. In the cortex,
this is where blood is filtered ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is also where more water and electrolytes are absorbed. From here, the filtrate is passed through the
distal convoluted tubule, where excess potassium ions, hydrogen ions and toxins are passed from the
blood into the filtrate. The end product is dumped into a large collecting duct, which then leads to the
papillae of pyramids, through the calyxes, and into the renal pelvis to be excreted through the ureters.
From the ureters, urine is passed down to the urinary bladder. The outer surface of the urinary bladder
is covered with fibrous connective tissue. Inside the connective tissue is a muscular layer called the
detrusor muscle. This smooth muscle contracts to expel urine from the bladder. The next tissue layer,
the submucosa, is an elastic fibrous membrane that supports the mucosa, which lines the inside of the
bladder. The opening of the urethra is surrounded by a band of detrusor muscle, forming an internal
urethral sphincter. This sphincter is relaxed by involuntary muscle control, and is innervated in a way
that when the bladder is approximately half full, the animal will recognize the urge to urinate. The last
passageway for urine is through the

Steve Jobs The Importance Of A Heartbeat Essay
McKenna Avery English12 ERWC 04/18/17 Period 5 The Importance of a Heartbeat The subtle
palpitations that speed up during a scary movie or slow down while asleep, that rhythm that can be
altered with something as simple as a kiss or bad news, that background noise people have become so
acquired to is worth more than any mansion, yacht, or company... or at least it should be. Without a
pulse, one is capable of nothing. For this reason, Steve Jobs reflected on his imminent death and
realized, No one wants to die...yet death... is very likely the single best invention of life, (Jobs). Jobs s
reflection on life and death is confirmed by the mere fact that people cannot seem to realize the

His epitome of physical health blurs the true importance of life; he has the power to change the course
of a whole city but chooses to debate over his own worth proving that the human race is sometimes in
need of some obstacles in life in order to appreciate their current situations.. While the blessing of a
healthy life can disguise itself as a curse on occasion, once someone realizes the value of a life, their
world is transformed. In the article, What Is the Value of a Human Life? , Kenneth Feinberg refers to
the time when his legal argument could not stand up against the reasoning of families who had lost
everything. He recalled, I was basing my decision on the law, just as juries did every day. But this
explanation fell on deaf ears. Grieving families couldn t hear it. And I didn t believe it myself,
(Feinberg). An attorney whose whole career depended upon the words of a law book altered his way
of thinking after being forced to face the aftermath of death on the remaining family members. It is
easy to regurgitate the phrases from the law but it is more difficult to apply those standards of human
value after observing death s true

Democracy Vs Athenian Democracy
Many historian have said that the Athenian created the first society to have democracy. Democracy
was born in the middle of the fifth century B.C. in Athens. A democracy is a government by the people
or rule by the majority. Perhaps the United States took a couple of ideas from the Athenian
constitution to the States constitution. But at the same time there is a difference in both these two
powerful nations. The differences about modern America is what the Founding Fathers planed about
the size of the democracy and how the citizens can have an input in that said democracy. I argue that
there is a comparison between Athenian democracy and modern democracy because Athens was the
first society to create a democracy and constitution. At the time ... Show more content on

Back then Athens had a direct democracy between 508 to 322 B.C. The Legislative Branch in Athens
consists of two different bodies. A council of around 500 and assembly of around 6,000 people. The
500 councillors from the Legislative Branch were selected randomly from the male populations that
were citizens. The councillors could not serve no more than two terms in Athens. For the Executive
Branch, the Athien could only serve for one term. The remainder of the government was held by the
Magistrates. The Magistrates was a host of commissioners, functionaries, and minor officials. Law
enforcement was not a service offered by the Athenian. In the Judicial Branch had only 6,000
volunteers. Public and private were the two kinds of arbitrations available. For the private, two parties
in the dispute would have selected a mutually agreeable third person or persons to have a decision in
the case. And for the public, it consisted of only all male citizens in their 60 years to have a role. For
the United States also has a Legislative, Executive, and Judicial Branches in our government system.
In order to pass a single Legislation, sent it to the President for his signature both from the House and
the Senate must pass by majority rule of votes The House of Representatives. The House has up to
435 elected members. The members of the House are selected and elected for every two and must be

years of age. The President also has Cabinet members. The Cabinet gives advisory to the President,

Women Of The Victorian Era
Intro Throughout history, women are casted with the role of being docile, obedient, and fragile by the
traditional values of the patriarchy society. In the nineteenth century during the Victorian era, men
expect women to maintain the domestic sphere as a cheerful pure haven for them when they return
home from work. The cult of true womanhood which was believed by both the Northern and Southern
states at the time was based on four main ideas: the sphere of home and the competitive world outside
which contrast the female and male nature; the belief that the home is the female s only suitable
sphere; women s moral superiority; and the idealization for women to behave as wife and mother. It
was expected that the world outside of home belongs to men because of its brutal environment and
competitive atmosphere, and women belongs to the moral sanctuary of society called home. There are
other influences that furthermore constrict women by spreading ideas of how women should behave.
Books and articles written by female and male authors often ask women to be religious, domestic, and
womanly to glorify their feminine role and seek fulfillment within their own sphere. However, many
women refused to be constrained by male dominance, propriety, and the ideology of feminine virtue
that paralyzed many Victorian women. Some expressed their grievances against male authority,
stereotypes about women, and their lack of power in political dilemmas by writing. Female authors
such as Charlotte

Our Screwed Up Punishment System
Anyone with a TV has heard about large criminal cases in which a man or women has attacked a
group of people. We are informed of the victims, the violence, and the amount of deaths. Any channel
at a certain point is talking about the crime, it then becomes the only thing people are talking about.
Cases such as Casey Anthony, George Zimmerman, James Holmes, and Ariel Castro are cases that
have been talked about on the news, talk shows, and late night. In this list not all have a mental illness
but because of what they have done society has grouped them together, they are evil people who
deserve to rot in hell. People no matter the reason should be punished for what they did. The way we

The issue of this is that the inmates are not in the right state of mind to survive in a jail and therefore
look for ways to get out of it by killing themselves or others. When things like fights happen it makes
jail unsafe for both inmates and guards. This to me is important because if jails are full of people with
mental illnesses we are not helping them get better, we are letting them basically kill themselves and
not care for their well being. It is easy to see that the problem is the lack of unberstany of mental
illness because we live in a society that does not help other when they do something wrong; we
believe that they deserve what they get, and that shouldn t be the case. What I mean is that when a
person does something wrong and kill others or try to hurt other we see that person as an bertrand to
society and want nothing to do with them. What we do not take into consideration is that that person
can be mentally ill and have no control over what they have done. The article Mental Illness and
Violence talks about criminals that are violence and what factors play a large roll in a persons actions
and behavior. The factors that contribute to a person being violent come down to background,
emotions, and if they choose to use substances. The fact that in the article people with substance abuse
are likely to become violent and sent to jail without looking in to what is going on with them

news, including TV stations, newspapers, and a radio. Deviations in their names are evident. Yet, the

problem. The news sources are placed near each other to allow the audience to realize that the same

digital divide is the advantage people in certain countries receive since they have access to digital
technological and digital communication. This puts others in different countries at a disadvantage
when they do not have access to this technology. North America has access to an abundance of
technology that other countries do not have. Poorer nations do not have access to these tools. The
cartoonist has created irony in the fact that the government does not understand how to solve this
issue. The government does not understand the digital age because of the fact that they are tying to fix
the problem literally. The digital divide is an information gap not a literal problem. This message
implies that our government is incapable of find a solution in the digital age. The Digital Divide takes
place in many countries around the world and also within countries. Recently, the United States of
America s Federal Communications Commission offered subsidiaries for broadband Internet access
for low income families. They tried to use this program to help bridge the American digital divide.

The Quotation Of Church Going
The title of the poem is ambiguous because two different approaches can be understood by Church

In the first stanza, the speakers enters the church after making sure there is no one inside: One I am

Harr, and Moore (2011) explored the psychological effects of compassion fatigue and compassion
satisfaction on social work students in field placement. To support their research, they conducted a
study in 2007 and 2008 with BSW and MSW students in the field of social work, at public universities
at the end of each semester. Students were then invited to participate in this study at the end of each

  • 2. Compartment Syndrome Analysis Compartment Syndrome is a condition where there is an increase of pressure within a confined area that is detrimental to the circulation and function of the tissues in the area (Grossman et al., 2014). Fascia, a dense connective tissue, surrounds and separates the muscles and nerves into compartments in the extremities. These fasciae provide sites of attachment for muscles, maintain the positioning of muscle groups during motion and during contraction improve the mechanical advantage of the muscle (Von Keudell et al., 2015). These fasciae create a low compliance, defined anatomical area with their dense fibrous nature. These defined anatomical areas have a finite volume, meaning that it can only endure a finite pressure (Rekha, 2010). A compartmental ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Comparative Evaluation Of Anaesthetic Efficacy Of... Title: Comparative evaluation of anaesthetic efficacy of articaine and lignocaine using a single buccal infiltration for extraction of primary molars Introduction: An important aspect of patient management in dentistry is pain control, which is mainly achieved using local anaesthetic drugs (PD). Lidocaine being the safest is the most commonly used (JMOS) and has served as a gold standard in local anaesthetic drugs for the past 50 years (pd). It has revolutionized pain control in dentistry since it was introduced in late 1940s (Malamed). It is an amide anaesthetic with a short onset of action and an intermediate duration of anaesthesia when associated with adrenaline(BDJ). Local anaesthetic injections trigger pain and anxiety in children, employing lidocaine for palatal injection is considered as more painful, because palatal mucosa is compact and tightly bound to the underlying periosteum. Also, mild to moderate pain of the palatal injection is relatively poorly tolerated due to the abundant nerve supply in palatal tissue (PD). The Inferior alveolar nerve block (IANB) is principally employed to obtain local analgesia for children s mandibular posterior teeth. It has been reported that the IANB has the highest level of patient discomfort when compared with infiltration, palatal injection, mental nerve block or periodontal ligament injections. The child s behaviour towards subsequent dental treatment can be negatively influenced by an unpleasant treatment experience ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Milestones in Federal Gun Control Legislation A growing number of publicized tragedies caused by gun violence have caused a great stir in the American community. Recently, President Barack Obama has made proposals to tighten the regulation of and the restrictions on the possession of weapons in America to lessen these tragedies. Should the legislative branch decide in favor of his proposals, all American citizens who do or wish to own the type of weapons in question or who use current loopholes in existing policy would be directly affected. His proposals, which are to require background checks for all gun sales, strengthen the background check system for gun sales, pass a new, stronger ban on assault weapons, limit ammunition magazines to 10 rounds, finish the job of getting ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is for this bias that they may not be seen as a reputable source of fact on the issue. Why would they show the horrors of gun violence when their organization revolves around guns, many liberals ask. While organizations may be an unreliable source of reason due to the impact that resulting laws may have on them, they still propose valid points. Obama s proposals function on one of the oldest, fundamental goals of government: to provide order and security to those governed. By requiring universal background checks, those deemed unfit to possess a firearm would not legally have a way to buy one and therefore the severity of the situation, should one of these individuals act on any rash thoughts, would be greatly reduced. The same would be true if individuals who were able to possess firearms were only able to have ones of a less ridiculous nature and with less ammunition to carry out any homicidal intentions. The right to ban these dangerous and unusual weapons has already been ruled by the Supreme Court in the case of District of Columbia v. Heller to be in accordance with the Constitution. In 1994, two laws were passed which did these two things. However, due to loopholes, they were less effective than intended. • 6. The Influence Of Cigarettes The public s view of cigarettes has changed drastically over the years. Cigarettes have been used as a stress reliever or as a status symbol since they were first created. Those who have enough money to purchase cigarettes as a luxury are looked at as higher class citizens. People began striving to be wealthier and more attractive in order to achieve the American dream. The growing popularity of cigarettes for all genders was a massive boom for the tobacco industry. Prior to the age of 20 s, women smoking in public were seen as a taboo and inappropriate. This view of women changed when cigarette companies started using women as their main advertisers. During the roaring 1920s, women were fighting for equality, and many women turned to cigarette smoking to make themselves look sophisticated. One advertisement capitalizes on the urge women have to be skinny and uses it to sell their cigarettes, while the other urges those to stop smoking in order to save their health. These two advertisements promote opposite arguments of a commonly used product, cigarettes. Though from different eras, they both use similar strategies to convince the audience to be for or against cigarette smoking. My first advertisement is by the Lucky Strike Cigarette company from 1929. The center of the advertisement contains a drawing of a caucasian woman with black short curly hair and rosy cheeks. Three of the skills Sam had learned to use are burning out the inside of trees, making makeshift fishing poles and finding his own bait, and finally making his own wooden instruments. Sam used these in the story but that doesn t mean that they are actually possible. Also, some people would ve used the same skills, but in their own ways. There are many skills Sam used, some were burning out the inside of his tree to make room to live in, some helped him to gather food, and some helped him to simply stay inside of a happy mood. I might use the makeshift fishing pole skill because it s always fun to make something then see it work well, plus I like doing entertaining things. For the instrument technique I just probably wouldn t use it. I m not really a band person and It s not as useful as makeshift fishing poles so I probably wouldn t use it. Next are the modifications I would use on the skills. Instead of just randomly burning the inside of a tree into flames I would try and make separate parts of the tree. So if one part of the tree goes into flames accidently I don t burn the whole tree down. Also for the fishing I would try to make stronger or more advanced fishing poles and hooks. I would also test out different bait than just worms. I would see which fish like a certain bug or bait. Then when I go fishing I would see which fish I want to catch, then I would use that specific bait and have a better chance of catching the fish I wanted. These may be how I would prefer using the skills, but how would you prefer them or use ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The current Chief Executive Officer of this company is Virginia C. Drosos, who the company appointed into her new position on the first of August, 2017, in the place of Mark Light, who shortly prior had stepped down. Despite the fact that Signet Jewelers is a very prominent seller in America, boasting several thousand stores both within and without malls across the country, its center is located in Hamilton, Bermuda, putting it in British territory. From there operates one of the most successful jewelry companies in recent history. Signet Jewelers claims its origins as a single jewelry store in Surrey, England, first opened in 1949 by Leslie Ratner. From this small beginning point, the company slowly acquired a host of other successful jewelry chains, making it increasingly powerful and prominent. At first, all these chains were in England, but eventually, it branched out to America as well, the country would eventually prove to be its most successful market, and likely saved the company when, in the early 1990s, the company seemed to hit a dead end. After a few years of rough and dubious times, in which the company nearly rid itself of its failing UK branch, Signet Jewelers at last resurfaced and returned to power with a vengeance, even acquiring another jewelry chain after roughly a decade of stagnancy. • 11. Comparing The ICTY And The International Criminal Tribunal... At the end of the Cold War, a more widespread interest in post conflict reconstruction was becoming more prevalent. The main components of this interest during the post reconciliation period were accountability and reconciliation. To facilitate this in two different post conflict environments, two respective tribunals were established. These tribunals were known as the ICTY (The International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, est.1993) and ICTR (International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, est.1994) . The ICTY was formed to address the conflict in former Yugoslavia. The situation started when two of the six republics of Yugoslavia, Slovenia and Croatia, declared their independence after the fall of the Berlin Wall. This sparked a lengthy and lethal conflict within the territory. The atrocities that allegedly had been committed included but were not limited to, genocide, rape, and enslavement. Many of the victims were civilians. Because of this the ICTY was created during the war as an international criminal court that applied humanitarian law. It s purpose was to gather information, create an account of events, and prosecute those responsible for committing crimes . The ICTY is considered the first international court. Since it was the first of it s kind, the court was not without controversy. From the beginning, the method of establishing the tribunal was up for debate. Phoenix has done nothing but expand thanks to the much endless desert space they are surrounded by. Many suburban areas where created around Phoenix due to large amount of family homes built. Along with all of the development and amount of time, Phoenix is actually now surrounded by 24 smaller cities. A large amount of ecosystems where destroyed in order to build a lot of single family homes and a lot of streets. A big reason for the Phoenix region growing outwards rather than upwards is mostly due to land being priced very cheap and allowing larger margins of profits because homes are not build until they have all been completely purchased by the customers. A great example of how the city of Phoenix is expanding right now is the community named Anthem. It is a community in which people don t really ever need to go out of their community because it has everything in it. • 20. Julius Caesar And The Civil War Essay The Civil War, consisting in large part of Caesar s own account of the conflict between himself and Pompey, explores the origins of the war, the manner in which it was carried out, and most importantly the role of pivotal figures on both sides of the struggle. Prior to his records ending and supplementation by military officers, Caesar makes a case for his involvement in and perhaps triggering of the war, one which would transform the social and political landscape of the Roman empire as battles and campaigns were waged from Spain to Italy, Africa to Asia Minor. Caesar walks a fine line between historian, strategist and orator as he attempts to record historical events, martial decisions, and persuade an audience respectively. Despite his efforts to remain impartial, as evidenced by his admission that the Pompeians were winning at Dyrrachium, Caesar consistently presents himself as a charismatic and skilled general and leader, jeopardizing the integrity of the text as objective material and allowing it to be a propagandist account of sorts. Ultimately, Caesar uses anecdotal evidence, the presentation of his personal thoughts, and juxtaposition with his opposition to paint his side of the war in a positive and just light. When reading The Civil War, it is critical to understand what Julius Caesar was attempting to accomplish by recording a narrative of his war, on and off the battlefield, with Pompey and his forces. To achieve the forecasted production levels, producers of Western Canadian oil must find a market that values their oil at reasonable price. The challenge related to the increasing availability of Western Canadian oil and its distribution to domestic and international markets is imminent. Indeed, uncertainty in oil reserves and production implies uncertainty on future trade movements, and consequently, on oil corridors. It is now becoming a political, economic and national security matter that this oil finds access to other markets and export opportunities (McKenna, 2013). As for their actual markets, maintenance on existing pipelines and the necessity of upgrading refineries to process this crude oil from Western Canada create bottlenecks upstream that increase the constraints to allow the expected growth. All these challenges have economic implications that translate in a price differential. The oil production surplus and the inability to reach external markets already have negative effects on oil prices for Western Canadian ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 22. Billy Budd Analysis Billy Budd is the story of the sailor Billy Budd and his time on the H.M.S Bellipotent during the last decade of the 18th century, after being impressed from the previous ship he was on The Rights of Man . He was seen as a handsome sailor , and was loved by his old crew. He was also innocent to a fault. This man could not see the bad or suspicious in someone at all. In the context of this novel, he was the purest good in this ship, which could also be seen as a microcosm of the world as it was. Billy as a whole is seen mainly as a man without fault. He could do no wrong in his world, because he is the personification of all that is good. This makes his one flaw, that being his stutter, the perfect aspect of his being to show us of the dangers of innocence. The fact that he cannot bring words out to defend himself against the malice tossed at him because his very being will not allow him to even comprehend that there are people in the world with such ill intent. Ill intent does not exist to him, and it ultimately proved to be his undoing. As if almost a flip of a coin, Claggart can be seen as the complete opposite than that of Billy. An ugly man, in both the figurative and literal sense, Claggart s innate malice is without cause or limit. While Billy lacks the awareness of the differences of human actions and the intentions behind them, Claggart knows these differences all too well. He has a great understanding of deception and ambiguity that he uses to hide his real ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 23. The Prevalence Of Body Dissatisfaction And Eating... Background: Dissatisfaction with the size, weight, and shape of one s body contributes to the risk of developing an eating disorder. Body dissatisfaction appears common among adolescents, but there is little information available on changes in prevalence over time. Purpose: We aim to study temporal changes in body dissatisfaction and eating disordered behavior between 1999 and 2007 and their relationship in high school aged youth. Methods: The National Youth Risk Behavior Survey (YRBS) data sets were downloaded from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for the years 1999, 2001, 2003, 2005, and 2007. A pooled dataset of variables common across the years was created (n= 64,270). Hypothesis: We hypothesize that the prevalence of body dissatisfaction and weight control behaviors will increase over time. We predict prevalence differences based on gender, ethnicity, and age. We also predict a correlation between body dissatisfaction and weight control behaviors. Data Analysis: The YRBS uses a multistage probability sampling design. We conducted univariate descriptive analysis with SPSS using case weights and multivariate hierarchical hypothesis testing with AM Statistical Software, which takes into account correlated errors within sampling units and utilizes design weights. Results: Consistency of body satisfaction and weight control behaviors was found over time. White adolescents and females seem at high risk of body dissatisfaction and eating disorder ... • 27. Explain The Main Organs In The Urinary System The main organs in the urinary system for mammals are the kidneys, which filter blood and produce urine. The other organs such as the ureters, urinary bladder and the urethra are simply accessory structures that help in the transport and storage of urine. The kidneys of mammals are round, bean shaped organs. These kidneys are located at the posterior end of the abdomen and outside of the peritoneum, which is the membrane that encloses the organs of the abdominal cavity. The indentation found on the bean shaped part of the kidney is called the hilum, this is where the renal artery enters the kidney and where both the renal vein and ureter exit. From the ureters, urine is passed down to the urinary bladder. The outer surface of the urinary bladder is covered with fibrous connective tissue. Inside the connective tissue is a muscular layer called the detrusor muscle. This smooth muscle contracts to expel urine from the bladder. The next tissue layer, the submucosa, is an elastic fibrous membrane that supports the mucosa, which lines the inside of the bladder. The opening of the urethra is surrounded by a band of detrusor muscle, forming an internal urethral sphincter. This sphincter is relaxed by involuntary muscle control, and is innervated in a way that when the bladder is approximately half full, the animal will recognize the urge to urinate. A democracy is a government by the people or rule by the majority. Perhaps the United States took a couple of ideas from the Athenian constitution to the States constitution. But at the same time there is a difference in both these two powerful nations. The differences about modern America is what the Founding Fathers planed about the size of the democracy and how the citizens can have an input in that said democracy. • 30. Women Of The Victorian Era Intro Throughout history, women are casted with the role of being docile, obedient, and fragile by the traditional values of the patriarchy society. In the nineteenth century during the Victorian era, men expect women to maintain the domestic sphere as a cheerful pure haven for them when they return home from work. The cult of true womanhood which was believed by both the Northern and Southern states at the time was based on four main ideas: the sphere of home and the competitive world outside which contrast the female and male nature; the belief that the home is the female s only suitable sphere; women s moral superiority; and the idealization for women to behave as wife and mother. It was expected that the world outside of home belongs to men because of its brutal environment and competitive atmosphere, and women belongs to the moral sanctuary of society called home. There are other influences that furthermore constrict women by spreading ideas of how women should behave. Books and articles written by female and male authors often ask women to be religious, domestic, and womanly to glorify their feminine role and seek fulfillment within their own sphere. However, many women refused to be constrained by male dominance, propriety, and the ideology of feminine virtue that paralyzed many Victorian women. Some expressed their grievances against male authority, stereotypes about women, and their lack of power in political dilemmas by writing. Female authors such as Charlotte ... It is easy to see that the problem is the lack of unberstany of mental illness because we live in a society that does not help other when they do something wrong; we believe that they deserve what they get, and that shouldn t be the case.
