She tells me she crooked ear canal and she says sometimes it happens that wax gets stuck in
there. She woke up this morning feeling some discomfort and that her left ear was roaring and
she is wondering if there might be a wax issue. She did place some Debrox in it this morning with
some success. She feels a little bit better than she did when she first woke up. Her right ear, she says
feels normal. She has noticed perhaps her hearing has not been as good bilaterally. She does not
have any cold symptoms. No runny nose or stuffy nose. No fevers. No nausea, vomiting, or

Water In The Great Lakes Region
Water is an important resource and weather agent in our world, and the Great Lakes Region has an
intimate relationship with water. The region was shaped by glaciers long ago and continues to be
shaped by flowing surface water today. Groundwater is very pure in the area, which allows for
plants, animals, and humans to thrive there. Migration into the area can be related to the
groundwater found there. Humanuse of the water results in man made structures, water flow
alteration, and changes in water quality. Water is very influential in the Great Lakes Region.
Weathering, erosion, and deposition have all had an impact on the formation and shaping of the
Great Lakes Region over time. In the image below, the Great Lakes Region is shaded in brown.

Summary Of Adam Smith And David Ricardo
Adam Smith and Principles of Economics by David Ricardo represented the formulation of
international trade theories. To Adam Smith it was the absolute advantage of one country. Also, the
labor side in Smith opinion that reduces the cost of production, and that would ensure
competitiveness in the international markets. David Ricardo expressed basic assumptions of the
tradetheory. Free tradetheory, as opposed to Mercantilists trade protection, was supported by Adam
Smith and David Ricardo. For Smith and Ricardo free was mechanism to increase the productive
efficiency at global level. Ricardo s cost calculation was based on labor hours factor on production.

When demand elasticity for the same good is different in different countries, there is a possibility
of subsidized exporting of goods. There is one more possibility that there are some countries that
are historically above others and have a cost advantage of producing some goods, and they can
offer products at lower price than others. In such as a situation, countries will provide subsidies to
industries whose cost of production is high to enable them to obtain the benefit of scale economies.
This will pave ways for advanced countries to follow aggressive strategic trade. Sunanda Sen wrote,
It was generally recognized that the vagaries of history rather than resources determine what a
country produces and exports. Thus the role of history and accident were both considered crucial in
determining the location of an industry in the world map (Krugman 1994)(Sunanda Sen,2010).

Thin Client vs. Fat Client Network Design
Thin Client vs. Fat Client Network Design Considerations
Introduction Network computing was created in an effort to allow users of a computer
application to share data more easily than using stand alone computers. Clients on a client/server
network store their application data on a central server. There are two categories of clients on a
network. They were originally categorized by their hardware design, but today clients are
categorized by the software application design and where the bulk of the processing is done and
where the bulk of the application software is stored.
A thin client, sometimes called a lean client, is a low cost, centrally managed computer. The term
derives from the fact that small computers in networks tend ... Show more content on

A product made by Citrix Systems actually simulates a Microsoft Windows desktop from a thin
400KB client. The Citrix product does have server capacity problems when sending multimedia
over a network, but basic word processing and accounting programs are practical over a Citrix
network.
This transition has made it once again easier to operate in a centralized processing computing
environment. Today further enhancements to HTML are allowing more graphic intensive
applications to be created. Macromedia Flash, Shockwave, and ActiveX Controls are enhancements
to HTML which are allowing for a thin client application to have dynamic graphical interfaces.
Load balancing systems such as Coyote Point Systems Equalizers are allowing reliable networks
with redundant servers and application load spread over multiple servers. Lower telecommunication
and standard routing protocols such as BGP have allowed remote offices relying on network access
to have redundant routes to the internet or central servers.

Selecting computer hardware and software for a company is an important management decision.
This decision will have a direct impact on operational efficiency and competitive advantage. The
most important management and organizational issue to consider is total cost of ownership. In
considering a fat client or thin client network application design, managers must know what their
total cost of ownership is. In many cases a thin client design has a higher up

Investigation of Tissues Essay
Investigation of Tissues
Tissues are defined as a group of associated, similarly structured cells that with their ground
substance act together in the performance of a specialised function for the survival of the
multicellular organism. The tissues are classified into four main groups which are epithelial,
connective, muscle and nervous.
(http://encarta.msn.com/encyclopedia accessed 08 October 2004)

Epithelial tissues form the covering of all body surfaces with the functions being to provide
protective covering, absorption, secretion, diffusion, sensation and contractility. They are tightly

Connective tissue examples are; adipose (fatty tissues), loose connective tissue, dense fibrous
connective tissue, elastic connective tissue, cartilage, osseous tissue (bone), tendons and ligaments.
I have chosen to look more at adipose (fatty tissue):
Adipose is a specialised type of connective tissue which stores lipids. It collects in large numbers
and is shaped to be large round or oval cells. Adipose has a similar function to that of fibrous
tissue, which throughout the body connects by irregular network of strands to form a cushion layer
to support blood vessels, nerves and other organs.
Adipose is essential for insulation due to its low thermal capacity which allows the body to retain
heat, thus functioning normally. Its other vital function is that of protection of delicate organs such
as the eyes and kidneys. Fat cells offer this by forming liquid and being excellent at absorbing
pressure as they cannot be flattened.
Adipose tissue is needed for the body to turn to in times of need due to it being able to form a
food reserve. Excess carbohydrates are made into glycogen and turned into fat and stored within
adipose tissue which when energy is required by the body converts back.
Adipose tissue is normally localised to certain depots within the body such

Why I Became An Ame Ministry
After graduation, I searched for jobs and most of the time I froze up in the interviews. The only
interview I nailed was an interview for teaching position for Duval County School Board.
Therefore, I became a part of the teaching profession in the fall of 1998 teaching Biology, Algebra
I, Physical Science, and Chemistry in different years up until 2001. Additional, I was a science
adjunct professor for two years at FloridaCommunity College in Jacksonville. I started the five year
process of becoming an AME ministry with my initial sermon in December of 1998 at Wayman
Chapel AME Church and my pastor was Rev. Mark L. Griffin. The church voted for me to be
licensed in the quarterly conference in January 1999. I was examined by Presiding Elder DeSue in
January 1999, examined by the District Conference in February 1999, and examined by the East
FloridaConference of the Eleventh Episcopal District of the AME Church Board of Examiners in
April 1999.
Instructors advised me to attend seminary while I was attending the Board of Examiners. They
explained I would have a better understanding of scripture, God, myself, and my calling. Finally,
in October of 1999, I was admitted on trial in the Annual Conference of the East Florida
Conference of the AME Church. I entered Candler School of Theology in the fall of 2001.
September 11 was soon to follow along with the death of my stepfather. Death entered my life. I

The Psychological effect of Body Image on Adolescence
For individuals in the adolescent stage, there are many experiences and social pressures that they
face daily. In this time of development teenagers are starting to really ask questions like Who am
I? While teenagers are in search for answers, they are bombarded with certain influential factors
that can hinder or help them. Many of the social strains assist in the individual on how to define
themselves, and the position of their social stature. One factor that is especially influential in the
adolescent community is body image. Body image is an issue that has always been of important
consideration for teenagers. How a person looks can determine who they associate with, how they
are perceived and represent their way of self expression.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
J is a 12 year old teenager who frequently judges and tries to repair his appearance for about six
hours a day. Illustrated by Philips and Rogers (2011), he believed that his head was too big, his
arms looked like toothpicks, and his hair looked ugly and weird. J was very distraught with his
body image and did not feel as if he could belong with other based on the difference of
appearance. He is but one of the many teenagers who do not feel as if they fit in with the rest of
the people of their age because their image is not often advertised with the word beauty. Body
image can also cause teenagers to develop eating disorders such as bulimia nervosa and anorexia
nervosa. Teenagers would try to adjust their appearance and not only psychologically but
physically reject their bodies to comply with societies standards. According to Berk (2008),
bulimia nervosa is an eating disorder in which young people engage in strict dieting and
excessive exercise accompanied by binge eating, often followed by deliberate vomiting and
purging with laxatives. Berk also explains that anorexia nervosa is a tragic eating disturbance in
which young people starve themselves because of a compulsive fear of getting fat (291). Many
times teenagers, mostly females, would suffer from bulimia and anorexia nervosa because they
want to control how people perceive their images (292). Teenage girls would suffer the most from
anorexia and bulimia nervosa

Criticism Of Diego VelГ zquez s Las Meninas, SebastiГ n de...
Diego VelГzquez was called the noblest and most commanding man among the artists of his
country. He was a master realist, and no painter has surpassed him in the ability to seize essential
features and fix them on canvas with a few broad, sure strokes. His men and women seem to
breathe, it has been said; his horses are full of action and his dogs of life. Because of VelГzquez
great skill in merging color, light, space, rhythmof line, and mass in such a way that all have equal
value, he was known as the painters painter, as demonstrated in the paintings Las Meninas,
SebastiГ n de Morra, and Baltasar Carlosand a Dwarf.

The interlocking of these luminous areas is the more vivid as the middle distance is cut off by
the shadows which spread across the floor. The depth of the chamber is stressed by the alternation
of window jambs and picture frames on the right hand wall, the stretcher of the large canvas on the
left foreground, and the perspective sequence of the empty lamp hooks on the ceiling, which mark
as central the spot in the rear wall where the King and the Queen are seen reflected in the mirror. In
no other painting has VelГzquez rendered space in so architectural a manner as in this, the only
work in which he has depicted a ceiling. Neither is there any other composition of his that is so
vividly keyed to the space lying out of the picture frame.
Recent studies of Las Meninas, inspired by the ideas of Michel Foucault, have paid considerable
attention to the seemingly novel relationship between the scene on the canvas and the spectator.
These ideas tacitly assume that the picture was meant to be seen by the public at large, as if it
were hanging in an important museum, as it is today. (They also exaggerate the novelty of the way
in which the spectator is involved in the picture.) However, the original placement indicates that
this is not the case. In 1666, the year after the death of Philip IV, Las Meninas was

Cram Schools CanВґt Substitute for the Official Schools
It is becoming increasingly common nowadays in China that students go to cram
schools frequently instead of attending the official school every time when some important
examinations are coming. This phenomenon happens a lot around me. Many good
friends of mine, no matter whether they are good at studying or not, will chose to go to cram
schools for
further study. Their goals are to triumph over challenges and difficulties in study and make
higher marks. However, to my surprise, having spent a lot of time and money, they made
lower marks sometimes. They study very hard every time in cram schools, nevertheless,
they feel worn out and always gain results, which are not satisfying. And what is also
unfortunate is that their endeavors are in vain. How ridiculous it is! Cram schools should
be to blame for this.
Attending cram schools too much does harm to a student s academic achievement
because of its high pressure, high costs, endless boring homeworkпјЊas well as the students
lacking creativities and flexibilities.
Firstly, cram school gives its students high pressure. Students who attend cram
schools are supposed to study after study; also, they are expected to study against time in
order to get higher grades. They re asked by the teachers to strive hard to excel in every
examination, which leaves them no spare time to develop their hobbies. According to an
article called China s Cram School from Hell (Rachel Lu, 2013), a cram

How Water Hardness Is Important For Homeowners And...
Whether we realize it or not, water is surrounding us in different forms everywhere. Water actually
makes up about 70% of Earth. Water is overall known as a good solvent that dissolves minerals it
comes in contact with. As water moves through earth, it dissolves minerals and holds them in
solution. The amount of metal cations, such as Calcium(Ca^2+) and Magnesium (Mg^2+) in water
became known as water hardness . Water hardness can be detected by white residue and crystal
like rocks when heated. Understanding water hardness is important to us because it has proven to
create problems both in our households and in industry (1). These problems lead to expenses for
homeowners and industry owners, they will end up spending money on expensive cleaning
chemicals and machinery cleaners. In our household we water hardness pop up as soap scum in
our dishes and in our laundry. Hard wateralso produces scale which, in industry and again in
households can narrow pipes, block tubes, cause problems in brewing facilities, and can produce
problems in farmland. The greater the presence of Calcium and Magnesium in water defines its
hardness. For example a water sample with a large concentration of these two cations, along with
smaller amounts of other polyvalent cations, is considered to be hard. (1, 2) And a sample with a
smaller concentration of the cations is considered soft. Below is a table of the determination of
water hardness scale.

Ecological Theory And Social Work
Hospital social work is time limited and the focus could easily be more directed at problems rather
than solutions. Patients enter the hospital with a physical problem and desire to leave with
answers. In this type of environment the focus can be on the physical ailment rather than additional
factors that may be contributing to physical distress. Environmental factors can promote well
being or become a barrier to wellness. An ecological perspective provides a lens to view patient
systems in a broader context.
Ecological perspective is a useful framework in which to view the individual in context with their
environment. According to Rogers (2013) ecological theory was originally developed by a
psychologist, Urie Bronfenbrenner in 1979 (p. 42). A fundamental tenet of ecological theory is that
people are actively involved with their environments and their perceptions of the environment
significantly affects their well being (p. 42).
Ecological theory describes four levels of the environment that interconnect and impact people.
Moving from the most intimate individual system to a broader inclusion you can identify the many
systems that play a role in individual s lives and well being. These interactions could be harmonious
and create homeostasis or could be disharmonious and cause stress.
First, the microsystem level encompasses roles and relationships in a person s immediate
environment (Rogers, 2013, p. 43). For example, Maria s relationships and home living situation

Iago Cheating In Othello
A real relationship will last beyond the rumors. Many would believe the wise person that once
said this was speaking of Othello and Desdemona from William Shakespeare s famous play,
Othello. These two characters were much in love at the beginning of the play, however, Iago, a
character seeking revenge of Othello, twisted the loveinto hatred as the play moves on. Iagodrew the
attention of, allured, and rationalized several reasons why Othello should believe that Desdemona
is cheating on him. All in all, as Iago continues to poison Othello, Othello s mind becomes more and
more infected with lies.
At first, Iago drew Othello s attention towards Cassio, the charming soldier, and Desdemona. He
pointed out that the two had been spending a lot of time together. This is shown in Othello when
Iago says, Ha! I like not that... Nothing, my lord, or if I know not what... Cassio, my lord? No,
sure, I cannot think it that he would steal away so guilty like seeing you coming (3.3.!). Here,
Iago purposely catches the attention of Othello to make him see his wife with his friend, so it will
lead Othello to thinking what they could possibly be doing together. From this, Othello s mind
begins to stir and he begins to realize that his wife and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

leave t undone, but keep t unknown (3.3.!). The woman from Venice are known to having affairs

Cassio are in a secret relationship. Hearing this sets Othello over the edge and now all the damage

Loss Of Innocence In Laurie Halse Anderson s The Joy Luck...
In all our lives, there is a fall from innocence. A time after which, we are never the same. Stand
By Me. Innocence can be found at any age or any point in one s life. It means chastity, freedom
from wrong, lack of knowledge, SIMPLICITY. When one has innocence the world seems easy
without any worries, however that can all change when one loses their innocence. The loss of
innocence can feel as though one has fallen into a black hole and can never escape, darkness,
voicelessness, LONELINESS. In Amy Tan s The Joy Luck Club, Nadine Gordimer s Once Upon a
Time , and Laurie Halse Anderson s Speak, the authors use main and supporting characters to
show a loss of innocence at a young age. In The Joy Luck Club loss of innocence is expressed
through the old woman from the fourth parable, Queen Mother of the Western Skies . In Once
Upon a Time loss of innocence is expressed through the young boy. In Speakloss of innocence is
expressed though Melinda. Although all three of these characters go through the same struggle of
loss of innocence, Anderson s character Melinda is able to come to terms with her loss and regain
her strength. In these three stories, Tan, Gordimer, and Anderson use the theme of loss of
innocence to portray loneliness, fear, and barriers to show how one can learn from past experiences.
In the fourth parable Queen Mother of the Western Skies , Tan uses the old woman to show her
loss of innocence through flashbacks to her youth. As she plays with her granddaughter, the old
woman wonders what she will teach the child. She sees the baby laughing and the old woman
recalls that she too was once free and innocent , laughing for pure enjoyment (213). However, as
time went on she threw away her foolish innocence to protect herself (213). As a result, when she
had a daughter, she taught her daughter to do the same and shed her innocence (213). The old
woman wonders if telling her daughter to do so was wrong, for now she can recognize the evil in
the world. She calls the baby as if she is a high and mighty spirit named Syi Wang Mu , Queen
Mother of the Western Skies and asks her to answer her question. Continuing to call her
granddaughter the Queen,

The Value Of How I Am Seen
The Value of How I Am Seen Frequently traveling and uprooting what I have considered to be
home has left my family as one of the only constants in my life. Through the great deal of
experiences and challenges I have faced alongside my family, I have learned through both positive
and negative means some of the things I truly value. The interactions between my sister and I in
particular are predominantly amiable, but over some of the coarser periods of time in our
relationship, our personal vendettas against one another have shown me that I valuemy public image
above most things in life. It is for this reason when asked to give something of true value away, I
have chosen to hand the keys of my kingdom to my sister, in the form of my Facebook email and
password information. While this material may seem like an inconsequential offering to
observers of different generations or walks of life, it is the nature and history of my relationship
with my sister coupled with the significance this information holds to me that tells of the true
sacrifice made in giving access to such a powerful tool. Before analyzing the degree to how
much I valued what I gave my sister, it is important to understand what true value is. While value
in terms of a currency or some means of exchange is seemingly one of the easier ways to
determine something s worth, an item s history to the owner and the impact of its absence is a
better determinate of its true value. I have found that in my case, given

Injustice In Letter From Birmingham Jail
When injustice is in place we as citizens must react, and this is exactly what Martin Luther King
Jr. did. Letter from Birmingham Jail is a letter written by Martin Luther King Jr. while he was in
jail. King was in jail for partaking in protests against segregation. King s clergymen have recently
called him out for his actions, stating that they are unwise and untimely. King then goes on to state
why he thinks his actions are wise and timely. He then goes on talking about the unjustness in
Birmingham at the time. King at the beginning tried to negotiate with the Birmingham community
to stop segregation, but it ended up going nowhere. He ended up using nonviolent direct action
which this started to make a difference. Martin Luther King Jr. s reasoning and evidence of his
actions are very persuasive. The clergymen stated that King s actions of taking nonviolent direct
actions is wrong and he should have negotiated with Brimingham. King think s that direct actions
like, sit ins and marches, were really the only option. King writes, The purpose of our direct
action program is to create a situation so crisis packed that it will inevitably open the door to
negotiation, (Pg 2, Paragraph 6). So, King does agree that... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

It has always been concerned by marketer that what are the factors that impact on shopping
behaviors. The purpose of this desk research is to investigate what are the factors affect shopping
time and analysis how they influence. This research focused on three main factors, gender, age and
income, that has obvious influence on how much time the customers spend in shopping mall.
Background
Many theories have been proposed to explain the factors that influence shopping mall behaviors.
Although it covers a wide variety of theories, such as situational, personal, social and cultural
factors, this research will focus on personal aspect. These themes includes how does consumers
gender and age perspectives impact on time they spend in shopping malls and the debate between
different thoughts on the influence of their income.
Description
In this research, eight articles were reviewed in three different themes to examine the relationship
between customers gender, age or income and time they spend on shopping. All of these articles
were found online and most of them are professional marketing studies. On account of the
deductive and inductive reasoning theories, the results of this research could be more convinced.

The Pros And Cons Of Health Care
As the health care crisis in the United States continues to evolve there needs to be federal
involvement in reform for access to health care and the health care system. Reform must be
initiated in the private sector of the health care system as well as the federally ran portion of health
care in the United States. Citizens of the United States are fond of our particular representation and
limited government intervention in our lives. Furthermore, the federal government does not have
constitutional authority to initiate any type of healthcare reform. This issue of health care was
regulated to the states by the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution since there are no provisions in
the Constitution regarding health care. Another important issue is health care a right or a privilege.
Is health care a right or a privilege is a simple question, but difficult to answer. The question is not
so much an economic question, as many people claim, but a moral issue.1
The United States has world class medical facilities and some of the finest doctors in the world.
The United States also spends a higher proportion of its Gross Domestic Product on health care
than any other nation is the world, but only ranks 37 out of 191 countries.2 Uneven access to
health care across the United States is a contributing factor for the poor outcome of the health care
program. Even with the passage of the Affordable Health Care Act there are approximately 29

SUMMARY
A main concern of The Culture Industry: Enlightenment as Mass
Deception is the expression of what is viewed as a Culture Industry . The term Culture Industry is
expected to allude to the business showcasing of society, the spectrum of the industry that deals
particularly with the generation of society that is rather than what s considered to be Authentic
Culture . In The Culture Industry: Enlightenment as Mass Deception both Horkheimer and Adorno
argue that mechanically delivered society denies individuals of their creative ability and assumes
control over their reasoning for them. The Culture Industry conveys the products. In turn

The Conflict Between Israel And Palestinian Refugees
Going after their independence, Israel was looking for the support of big and powerful countries,
and the cooperation of the surrounding states. Unfortunately, the Israeli independence movement
did not turn out to be so easy. As the surrounding Arab nations began to get angry with the
preferential treatment of the British, tensions rose between Israeland the Palestinians. Consequently,
because of the superior army and the support behind Israel, the wars resulted in an abundance of
Palestinian refugees that still struggle to establish their own state today. Through many efforts and
support systems, international aid has been offered to the Palestinian refugees, but as proven by the
millions of refugees that still live in the UNRWA camps today, none of these tactics have worked.
Although international organizations were ineffective in solving the conflict between Israel and
the Palestinian refugees, the establishment of an Arab state early on would have prevented a future
humanitarian crisis; demonstrating the preferential treatment within foreign intervention.
Leading up to the wars between Israel and the Arabs, Israel was getting favorable treatment from
the British, as Palestinians were left to fight against the odds. If this one sided contract and way of
thinking had not existed, both the Arabs and the Jews would have been satisfied. In the late 19th
century, there was a rise of Zionism among the Jewish people, in effort to return the Jews to their
homeland and resume

Hinduism Religious Text
Hinduism, Religious Texts and the Afterlife Hinduism s sacred texts are known as the Vedas
which are comprised of four ancient books written from 1200 BC to 100 AD. These Vedas are
the Rig Veda, Sama Veda, Yajur Veda and the Atharva Veda. Over time these books have been
extended by other texts known as Brahmanas, Aranyakas and Upanishads. Other texts include the
epics: Ramayana and the Mahabharata, as well as the Puranas or the history of the universe. The
Puranas were designed for and used by the average Hindu (HinduismSacred Texts). The earliest
book is the Rig Veda, which is contains more than a thousand hymns that were meant to be said
during sacrifices by priests. The realm of the dead is explained as being an earth like realm and...

One is supposed to conduct these rituals accordingly or will be punished in the afterlife.
Shushan explains, those who fail to burn plants after placing them on the alter to Yama will, in
the afterlife, be bound by the neck and dragged by those plants (205). However, this works both
ways for the ones conducting the rituals and sacrifices. One is rewarded for the sacrifices made
in life in the afterlife. Once again this is explained, If a cow is sacrificed it is there to be milked
in Svargaloka (Shushan 205). Svargaloka is a realm of heaven. The Atharva Veda contains more
detailed descritptions of Svargaloka and really points out the distinct differences between
Yamaloka, Svargaloka and Naraka. Unlike the Rig Veda, the dead ascend through darkness in
beams of light while being raised upwards by gods of storm known as Maruts. The sinners, or
moral transgressors, are met with lightning from Yama s dogs, (Shyama and Shybala), while
heading to the hell realms known as Paravatas. Once the transgressors arrive they are met by evil
terrors and the immortals are said to be sitting in a river flowing with blood and eating

Siemens Development Strategy
Siemens AG: Global Development Strategy
What were the major causes of the problems with the NetManager project? (I m not looking for a
list of points made in the case; I m looking for you to step back to a higher level and analyze why
these problems occurred.)
The problems experienced by the NetManager project appear to be symptoms of integration vs.
responsiveness issue within Siemens AG. As a transnational company, Siemens faces strong
pressure to globally integrate its operations, and be responsive to the needs of their offices and
customer s needs. The main problem with NetManager was that it had mushroomed in size and
strategic importance. This was the result of keeping up with the rapidly changing technological
demands, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The case also traces back their erroneous assumptions to a lack of communication between German
managers and Indian developers due to extended vacations with no alternative outlet for which to
seek necessary support.
Munich headquarters had been too removed from the realities and operations of the Bangalore
office, and failed to provide the adequate support needed to build NetManager. This translates to an
issue of global integration.
What should Siemens do next regarding the Net Manager project?
Having outlined a lack of support from Munich headquarters as a reason for NetManager s
shortcomings, Siemens should keep project development in Bangalore. Rather than shifting
development to Europe, which would result in tremendous transaction costs, Siemens should shift
the necessary resources for completion to Bangalore. First, they should send the necessary
executive knowledge, meaning German executives with the in depth knowledge of EWSD
systems. This would overcome interdependency issues, and guarantee greater quality at each step
of the development process. Next, they should make the proper investments in infrastructure and
systems hardware. The Bangalore RDC should be as up to date as possible, so as to avoid the
prior testbed problem, and so that their office may be as equipped as possible to adapt to changing
technological trends. In the short term, this results in a completed NetManager program that meets
the needs and standards of their largest

Essay On The Hero s Journey In The Odyssey
In The Odyssey by Homer, the development of Odysseus s characterization through the course of
the epic portrays the hero s journey structure. The hero s journey chiefly consists of the departure,
trials, and the homecoming; the hero matures with the successful completion of each stage.
Therefore, Odysseuss character transformation as a hero metaphorically conveys his progress in the
hero s journey. In the beginning of the epic, Odysseus is like any other young, inexperienced hero
with excessive pride in his raw strength. As he truly begins his journey into the unknown
(departure), he learns that his character flaws threaten his objective. Up until his encounter with the
Cyclops, Odysseus was accustomed to winning with his physical might (Trojan War). However,
when his strength could do him no good while trapped in a cave with a beast, he was forced to
think beyond killing and combat; ultimately he met success by using his mind, something he had
never done before. Yet, still an immature hero, Odysseus brooded over his success and taunted the
beast as he left the island. In response, the blind thing... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This major transition in characterization emerged as he learned to give up his flaws little by little.
In his encounter with the Sirens, he acted like a completely different person when he requested
his dear friends (689) to tie [him] up, tight as a splint (695). Earlier in his journey, he had used a
belittling tone to describe his men during the Cicones incident ( my men stood up and made a
fight of it (57)). By the time of the Sirens trial, Odysseus had really matured to appreciate his
company s presence and understand the importance of taking help from others. This development in
maturity symbolizes his progress in the hero s journey: he crossed the threshold as an amateur hero
and returned to Ithaca as a newly transformed

McDonalds Pricing Strategies
McDonalds focuses of four major pricing strategies: product line, promotional, penetration, and
value pricing. Product line pricing is a unique pricing strategy that falls solely on their many product
lines (McDonald s Pricing Strategies). Economic conditions may change rapidly, thus warranting
change in the product or the product line. During the Asian currency crisis, McDonald s replaced
french fries with rice in its Indonesian restaurants due to the cost considerations. With the collapse
of the local rupiah, potatoes, the only ingredient McDonald s imports to Indonesia, quintupled in
price. In addition, a new rice and egg dish was introduced to maintain as many customers as
possible the economic hardship (International Marketing. 9th edition pg.335). In order to appeal to
the local demographic, international marketers must make sure products do not contain ingredients
that might be in violation of legal requirements or religious or social customs. Since Indonesia is in
a Muslim country, McDonalds Maharaja Mac is made with non beef products (International
Marketing. 9th edition pg. 336).
Value pricing is used where external factors such as recession or increased competition force
companies to provide value products and services to retain sales. The

The Form And The Literary Style Of Wisdom
Discuss the content, the form and the literary style of wisdom as presented in Proverbs 11
Wisdom literature within the Old Testament consists of a broad collection of books that reflect on
Israel s religious faith. Within the Catholic designation, seven books that of Proverbs, Job, Psalms,
Ecclesiastes (Qoheleth) Song of Songs, Sirach and Wisdom are proffered. These books differ in
both style and subject matter, nonetheless they share common characteristics which distinguish
them from other biblical books. Wisdom has a focus on divine salvation proclaimed by the Torah
and prophets, whilst displaying a slight interest in Israel as a nation historically. There main
emphasis is in addressing the problems of why there is suffering, ... Show more content on

Proverbs encapsulate the human experience in its universality and comprehension, and is a
classic example of postexilic composition, with a lengthy history dating back to the Solomonic
era. Some sayings have been attributed to the civilisation of the Sumerians in 3000 B.C. with
later additions by Solomon not written down until two centuries later in the time of King
Hezekiah of Judah. Other smaller collections are attributed to wise teachers and kings. Proverbs
is a book largely made up of maxims or in Hebrew the mashal. The sayings within offer a key to
proper conduct in the course of daily living and cover everything from table manners to sexual
behaviour in setting forth the norms for a good life. It is based on the reverence for God and
obedience to his laws with the fear of the Lord the essence of all true human wisdom. The
origins of the Wisdom (personified as a woman) literature are often identified with court circles
where young men were trained in the discipline and skills of royal life. Israel was not alone in
this with many example of this type of wisdom on other Near Eastern culture. Education was
seen as valid and applicable to much of life s circumstances and suitable to that of a postexilic
monarchy. It is generally alleged that it was after this period that proverbs were collected and
edited. It is proposed that some of the collections of proverbs originated within family and

Pros And Cons Of Bitcoin Wallets
Bitcoin Wallets What are they and How Do they Work?
Do you need a digital Bitcoin wallet for your mobile device or desktop computer? To understand
what a Bitcoin Wallet is, you should first learn about the Bitcoin. It is defined as a digital currency
that is transacted virtually rather than tangibly. Bitcoin was founded in 2009 by Satoshi Nakamoto,
a mysterious entity that abandoned their venture in 2010. Bitcoin was the first currency to use
cryptography, and there is no match for it until now. Cryptography is all about encryption of data
and communication when being conveyed online to ensure maximum security.

Many types of coin wallet exist. Each of these wallets has its own pros and cons that you need to be
aware of. These are:
1.Desktop computer wallets
These entail software that is downloaded from the internet and installed on a laptop or a desktop PC.
The desktop software offers the user total control over their coins, ensuring that they do not entrust
them to dishonest third parties.
Desktop wallets are seen as the most secure because they are less likely to be targeted by internet
hackers who would mostly attack a group of Bitcoin addresses to be able to steal many coins at
once. Having a desktop wallet does not guarantee complete security though. You have the
responsibility to protect your Bitcoins from anything that could compromise the security of your PC.
If you are running a full node, it means that you have downloaded the entire block chain on your
PC or laptop and are solely responsible for updating it so that you can reference it when
transacting. A node is described as a spot on a network. For instance, the node will be the desktop
computer for those choosing to use it. A full node isn t always fun to run

The Stop-Question and Frisk Program
The black or white, either or and this or that misconceptions that are common in conversations
with children seems to be arising over the Stop and Frisk Law in New York City. It has long
been an issue of debate over whether it is a form of practicing racial profiling since its
implementation. Arguments between advocates and critics of the law appear to be so
incompatible that people are simply taking sides rather than trying to push the discussion
forward. Frankly, supporters and protestors of the practice have established their opinions with
incomplete information and lack of adequate critical reasoning. While those in favor have failed
to admit to the apparent existence of racial profiling, those who are against the law only focus on
racial profiling and do not participate in the broader discussion of whether or not it actually brings
safety to the city. The conversation might be able to move forward if both sides were to emphasize
on the most crucial issue of whether safety trumps civil rights.
The Stop Question and Frisk Program, more commonly known as stop and frisk or 250s,
authorizes police to stop and question pedestrians and frisk them for weapons or other
contrabands. This practice is based on the decision of the United States Supreme Court form the
case of Terry v. Ohio. The holding establishes that if there is reasonable suspicion that the person
may be dangerous or armed, police can stop him or her without violating the Fourth Amendment,

Mann Gulch Fire Case Study
Two different fires took place in two different decades, yet they were eerily similar to each other.
One was in Mann Gulch and one was on Storm King Mountain. Both of these fires became
disastrous because there was a collapse of sense making and things were no longer working for
the people involved. The people did not know what to do or where to turn, and thus where unable
to make sense of what was going on. In this essay I will compare the two fires not only with
themselves, but also with one of Lencioni s dysfunctions. I will then propose a solution based on
Lencioni s recommendations that could have helped the team in Mann Gulch apply some structure
and make sense of what was really happening. The firein Mann Gulch took place on August 5,
1949 (Weick, 1993, p. 628 652). That day, a lightning storm passed over Mann Gulch; the fire

Dodge saw that the fire was coming towards them, he told them to turn around. Eventually they
were instructed to drop their gear and make a run for it (Weick, 1993, p. 628 652). When the fire
got closer, Dodge knelt down and lit the grass on fire with a match in order to burn the grass
around him so that he and the others would have a safe zone, or technically an escape fire. He
then told the other smoke jumpers to get into the fire with him, but they refused and kept running.

The Louisiana Purchase Essays
The Louisiana Purchase was done in the year 1803. In this purchase the United
States of America paid fifteen million dollars to get all the land west of the Mississippi
River and east of the Rocky Mountains. This transaction was done between Thomas
Jefferson and the great Napoleon. The benefits that the United States of America
experienced from this purchase were numerous. For one, it gave the U.S. complete
control of the Mississippi, which in tern helped many farmers with transporting
goods. Second, it more than doubled the size of the United States. With this huge
amounts of land, the government could set up more farms to feed the young but

When the ambassadors have arrived in Paris, they quickly began to negotiate with
Napoleon and his advisors. Napoleon then offered the American ambassadors a deal of a
lifetime the whole Louisiana lands for only fifteen million dollars. Now why would
France want to sell all this land? For one, there was a civil war in the Island of Haiti.
There the slaves have revolted and won independence from France. Napoleon tried
hopelessly to get the Island of Haiti back under control, but it was to no avail. Without
control of Haiti the lands of Louisiana were useless to France, and thus Napoleon decided
to sell it to the Americans. Moreover, Napoleon was planning to conquer all of Europe,
this meant war with Great Britain. Since Napoleon knew that Britain would easily
gain France s overseas lands, he decided to sell them for fifteen million dollars. Robert
Livingston and James Monroe contacted Jefferson, who only wanted to get New Orleans,
for advice, and the final decision. Jefferson, seeing it as an opportunity, agreed to pay
fifteen million dollars to get all of the Louisiana lands. This land sale, probably the
largest in history, was negotiated early in 1803. (Curti 247).
Napoleon s offer to sell land pleased Jefferson, but it also troubled him, for he
believed that the Constitution did not allow him to buy huge amounts of land. This was

How Does Liam O Flaherty Use Foreshadowing In The Sniper
In the story The Sniper by Liam O Flaherty is about a Republican sniper watching over Dublin,
Ireland. The story is set in the Irish Civil War. The author uses mood and foreshadowing to show
and tell that war tears families apart.
The central issue is about the Irish civil war and people killing and hurting each other. For
example, in the beginning it states Republicans and free staters were waging civil war. (1). This
illustrates that there is a civil war going on and people are dying for their side. Also, he uses
foreshadowing because in the story, it says The flash might be seen in the darkness, and there
were enemies watching. He decided to take the risk. (1). This shows/foreshadows his enemies
seeing him and shooting at him, that is significant because if he were to be shot and killed, his
family would be mourning over his death and they would have lost their son. Near the end of the
story the author uses foreshadowing the death of a friend or family member of his. He does this
by saying in the story He wondered did he know him... Then the sniper turned over the dead body ...

Two craft moves are irony and description. Irony shows that war is tearing families apart because
in the end it states Then the sniper turned over the dead body and looked into his brother s face
(4). There is irony there because the reader does not expect the main character to kill somebody
that he actually knew, let alone his brother. If the main character had known that it was his
brother, then he would not have shot and killed him. Liam O Flaherty also uses description in
the story to emphasize death of people and family members dying. For example, it states The old
woman whirled round and fell with a shriek into the gutter. People can infer that the old woman
has a family back home, she could have been a mother, a sister, or a wife, but she was killed in the
war, destroying her family

The Influence Of Homer s Odyssey On Margaret Atwood
Explain the influence of Homer s Odyssey on Margaret Atwood.
It is very clear that Atwood was influenced by The Odyssey when writing The Penelopiad. After
reading The Odyssey, it left Atwood with more questions than answers about the maids and
Penelope. Atwood waned to explore the poem from a female perspective. Atwood found many
inconstancies in the story of the maids which she wanted to explore. She also wanted to explore
Penelope s role as a wife, mother and materfamilias. Margaret Atwood said that after reading The
Odyssey she had two questions; what led to the hanging of the maids and what was Penelope
really up to? In writing The Penelopiad, she felt she was able to answer those questions. Atwood
acknowledged that The Odyssey recorded by Homer in a Patriarchal time period. This helped to
shape and influence her desire to find out the answers to her questions and inspired her to write The
Penelopiad with a modern perspective.
I believe The Penelopiad was loosely based on some of the events that take place in The Odyssey.
It is a re interpretation of Penelope s life story, including her early childhood, marriage, the events
leading up to the hanging of the twelve maids and the reuniting of Odysseus and Penelope.
Penelope, through Atwood, retells her story from the Greek underworld. She wanted to break the
cultural myths and stereotypes about women that Homer had portrayed in The Odyssey. The
Penelopiad does not retell the story of The Odyssey.

It s abundantly clear that there are distinct physical differences among the sexes, however women
and men have been taught and thrown into a structural system that has brainwashed us into
believing that based on what sexual organ you so happened to be born with you must follow the

Everywhere we go, everything we buy, everything we see is gender based, from shaving cream,
children s toys at fast food restaurants, clothes, shampoos, and much much more. Unfortunately,
and realistically these stereotypes and roles will never disappear completely, due to the fact that
there will always be the presence of people who choose to reject the modern day upbringing,
close minded people are the only thing holding our generation back from blossoming into a
world of equality. With that said, take this as an eye opener to educate yourself on issues
involving PEOPLE, take interests in social problems involving PEOPLE, and take a genuine
concern towards the well beings of our PEOPLE. Once we open our hearts and minds we will
soon gravitate towards a less structured and uncomfortable environment. Nothing is set in stone, if
we break through these set rules, together we can demolish stereotypes and compose a superior,
suitable, and a more desirable society to live

Cultural Impact Of Globalization
Globalization is the process of international integration arising from the interchange of world
views, products, ideas and other aspects of culture. To better understand globalization and how it
can impact someone in different ways, I interviewed two people. The first person I interviewed is
Jane Beamon. Jane is the General Manager of Off Highway Business for Cummins Emission
Solutions. Cummins Inc is a global power leader that designs, manufactures, distributes and
services diesel and natural gas engines and engine related component products, including filtration,
after treatment, turbochargers, fuel systems, controls systems, air handling systems and electric
power generation systems (2017). Cummins is also a leader when it comes to globalization and
how it can play a role in the success of a company. When asked how globalization has impacted
her community, Jane was very supportive of globalization. What makes America great is the
merging of different cultures and the many benefits that are a direct result of that merging. When
asked to clarify, Jane stated: the rise and popularity of cultural festivals and events yearly is
confirmation that Indianapolis has embraced other cultures. When it comes to businesses that are
present here, Indianapolis is a melting pot of franchises as well as locally owned ventures. Take
Ikea for instance; most people are not aware that it originated in Sweden advised Jane. When it
comes to affordable shopping and convenience, globalization

What Were The Main Ideas Of Islam
What were the main ideas of Islam?
The people of Islam had a city called Mecca, where pilgrimage took place. It consisted of temples
with Arab God and a large stone called the Kaabah. Muhammad was born in 570 in Mecca, and
raised by his uncle after the death of both his parents. He was a very pious man, and he prayed in
caves. At the age of 40, a message was sent to Muhammad through Gabriel from Allah, who was
also the God of Jews and Christians. The messages sent from Allah to Mohammad through out his
life were later collected into the holy book of Islam called the Qur an. Muhammad created the
religion Islam, and his people were called Muslims, which means the one who submits . They had
five religious beliefs called The Five Pillars . The first one is that there is no God but ... Show more

The second one is praying five times a day facing Mecca, they had a specific way of praying
such as standing position, kneeling position and touching the forehead to the ground. They also
had a public call to prayer, which calls the people of Islam to go pray to Allah. The third one was
almsgiving; about 2 percent of everyone s wealth should be given as charity every year. The
fourth pillar was called the holy month of Ramadan, which appears in different season depending
on the lunar calendar. During Ramadan, Muslims would fast from sunrise to sunset. The purpose
of Ramadan is for Muslims to go hungry for one month so they can have sympathy for poor
people and thus is more generous to those who are less fortunate. The fifth and last Pillars of Islam

Reflection Paper On Perseverance
Research Reflection
Before I began researching I was really passionate about the ability to persevere and I knew I
wanted to talk about perseverance and explain why it was such an essential characteristic to
have. I especially wanted to find examples of many others that had to persevere to get through
their own tough times. But when I originally started researching my topic I did not exactly have
anything in mind about what I was exactly looking for. This was mainly due to that I had the
ideas in my head but did not know how to put those in a way that I could deliver it for the whole
class to understand. So as I began researching I focused on just using perseverance in school, like
not giving up after not getting a concept the first time. But after looking through a few articles I
found many examples of when perseverance was used in other ways, such as building things for
society or ways in which one can be successful. This then broadened my perspective on
perseverance and showed me the benefits of it.
The Grit: the Power of Passion and Perseverance. Ted Talk video was extremely helpful for my
research since it gave me numerous amounts of examples of how the main thing that distinguishes
kids for who they are is perseverance. I found out that one s intelligence quality is not determined
by their test scores, but rather it is determined by how they improve on making those test scores
the best they can be. Most of the things in the Ted Talk I had heard about before or

The Rise Of Digital Banking
The Rise of Digital Banking
People s life style has changed drastically from 20 to 30 years ago where on the street corner you
can pick a fruit or some newspaper or magazine. The living pace is faster than ever and it is not
stopping every single day. Nowadays on the subway underground to air flight 10,000 feet above
the ground, pedestrians walking down the street to drives at red light stop, the small screen on that
smart cellphone has changed the way of living for everyone. Technology innovations may be a big
part of it but also it has given the wings for traditional service industry to keep up with modern
lives needs. As the blood of modern economic system, financial industry has also utilized the IT
technology to help itself running through each tubes of this system faster than ever. That is the rise
of digital banking.
In the old days, people go to bank branches in order to either make a deposit or a withdrawn to
their accounts. From 14th century in Venice, Italy to 1970s in New York, United States, banking
seems to the same as it never changes. There is no other options if you don t want to have your
own house full of cash open for thieves and robbers. But with digital currency and online banking
system, those days have long gone for younger generations only with pictures shown on the history
books. Starting from 1990s, growing with the boom of IT technology in Silicon Valley, digital
banking has given itself a key role of shaking up the entire banking industry as

Essay Psychology of Dreams
Psychology of Dreams
To many people, dreams are the thoughts that occur while sleeping, having almost mystic qualities.
For millennia the significance of dreams has escaped even the brightest of philosophers and
intellectuals. Many people have speculated about why people dream and what meanings the dreams
have but in recent times two theories have gained credibility in answering those questions. The first
theory is Sigmund Freuds and the other is known as the cognitive theory of dreams also known as
biological determinism.
Freud presented his theory about dreams in the book The Interpretation of Dreams in 1899. In it he
sets out to prove there is a psychological technique which makes it possible to interpret dreams and
that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Freud outlines methods of interpreting dreams. The first is a symbolic interpretation of the dream.
This method identifies symbols in the dream that represent something in the waking life, making the
dream simpler to understand if done correctly (Freud 129). The second method is to decode the
dream. Symbols are said to be universal and every symbol has a counterpart that it represents in the
waking life. In effect the real meaning of the dream is encoded into universal symbols and must be
decoded to understand it (Freud 130).
Freud found two meanings in a dream: the manifest meaning and the latent meaning (Freud
168). The manifest meaning of a dream is what is remembered upon waking (Felluga). The
manifest meaning can reflect a situation that follows common sense and unfold in a way
possible in waking life. Other times it can take its own wild path that follows little or no logical
sequence when viewed at surface level. Despite this vast difference, both of these are influenced
by the superego, a part of the mind that Freud believes houses the knowledge of the structure of
society and what is acceptable in the dreamers culture. The dream takes place on a stage or
backdrop that makes sense and relates to waking life (Freud 216 17). While the manifest meaning
is useful and can itself contain a message, interpretation of it can reveal more than seen at face
value.
The second meaning in a dream Freud labels the latent meaning. The latent meaning

Wheatley Et Al. ( 2011 ) Study
The goal of this study was to evaluate the N170/VPP and LPP responses across three stimuli
conditions and compare the results to Wheatley et al. s (2011) study. During the Ag/AgCl EEG
recording of P10 and AFz, the 13 right handed undergraduate participants actively viewed
grayscale images of clocks, doll faces, and human faces. Post recording, the waveforms were
analyzed to determine the extent of the N170 component and the LPP response. Based on previous
research, we hypothesized that the participants would not show a significant difference in N170
amplitude at P10 between the doll and human faces (Wheatley et al. 2011). We also hypothesized
that the LPP waveform amplitudes at AFz would be significantly more positive in amplitude for...

However, this is consistent with Wheatley et al. s (2011) study which reports no p values less
than 0.01 when comparing N170/VPP across the two conditions. Overall, this result is consistent
with our hypothesis and Wheatley et al. s (2011) results. Also, the statistical analyses did not find
a significant difference (p 0.05) in LPP response between the doll and human face stimuli (t(12) =
1.76, p = 0.10). This result is not consistent with our hypothesis and Wheatley et al. s (2011) study,
which found a significant difference between the human and doll faces with a p value less than 0.01.
As mentioned before, a more recent study by Balas and Koldewyn (2013) compared N170
amplitudes between real and artificial faces of dogs and humans. In result, Balas and Koldewyn
(2013) only found a significant difference in N170 amplitude between dogs and humans when the
active task was species specific. Overall, the researchers did not report a difference in N170
across conditions. However, as our study involves different active tasks and less conditions (i.e.,
only human faces and doll faces) a direct comparison should be taken lightly.
To help improve the experimental design of this and Wheatley et al. s (2011) study for the future,
multiple solutions can

Zoos Are A Great Place Of Entertainment
First of all, what are zoos? Many people said that zoos are a great place of entertainment because
they can take their families to see lots of exotic animals that you only get to see in books or on
TV. Other said that zoos could be described as some collections of animals found in nature. Of
course, all these opinions are true because for me going to the zoo has been always a great place
to learn and also have fun in company of my family. In addition, I ve found that all animals in
the zoo have different personality. For instance, the last time I went, and I spent a lot of time
watching the gorillas. I could noticed how all four gorillas that I watched are totally different.
For example, Zuri the silverback gorilla show had been the leader of the group because he was
the largest gorilla and have strong arms that make him to walk upright. However, there have been
both good and bad point or opinions about zoos. In brief, for me zoos have more advantages than
disadvantages because the purposes behind keeping animals in detention are associated with
positive educational needs, research, recreation and conservation. But the question whether animals
should be kept captivated or not will be always in a debate.
First, zoos provide education to society. The role of zoos nowadays places a greater emphasis on
education and conservation than merely recreation. Many school children visit zoos to know more
about endangered species and the different ways to conserve them. The signposts

China River Valley
Agricultural societies dominated China by 5000 BCE everywhere east of the Wei River Valley
all the way to the North China Plain. Millet was grown away from the forrest in areas with
enough water and people domesticated dogs, pigs, and chickens. They still, however, relied on
hunting for game and gathering plants for food. The people lived in groups of one room houses
made of earth with clay or thatch roofs. They knitted fibers with the help of spinning wheels and
decorated pottery with art. Since the Yellow River flooded worse than the Yangze River, farming
was much easier in the south. It was much harder for farmers on the Yellow River because they had
to put more time and energy into flood control and irrigation compared to farmers on the... Show

The people in the area surrounding the Shang civilization were seen as barbaric savages. Because of
this, the emperor, Zhouxin, was waging a war against the tribal people living south east to his
empire. The people he had conquered who lived in the Wei River Valley, called the Zhou, took
advantage of this and started rebellions and overthrew him at the battle of Mu ye in 1045 BCE.
The Zhou were pastoral people who gained alliences with the other tribes who the Shang
thought of as barbarians. When the Zhou came to power, they claimed to be the sons of gods
and therefore ruled all the land and its people. They claimed to have taken the Shang rulers out
of heaven by the command of the supreme god called The Lord on High The Zhou claimed to
be representing what the god had planned for the land they ruled and any opposition to their
rule was blasphemous and against god. Since the land was so vast, Zhou divided his land into
regions and gave each allied tribal chief a region to rule. The region leaders, called lords, had full
control over the region and each one had their own army to use. The title of lord was hereditary
and was passed down through generations. This caused a hierarchy in families to develop with
older sons being ranked higher than younger ones. The Lords also had priest roles and had the
power to preform sacrifices to local gods and dictate

What Are The Similarities Between Judaism, Christianity,...
Religion is an organized collection of beliefs in divinity, cultural systems of faith and worship.
There are many world religions, according to some estimates, there are roughly 10,000 religions in
the world. (Barrett) Each religion having their own different doctrines and theology. Out of the
seemingly endless group of world religions, three highly influential religions have close relations.
Historically, relations among these faith groups reflect both conflict and cooperation. Despite many
violent conflicts over the course of history there are overwhelming commonalities between the
origins, the monotheistic concept and religious scriptures of the Abrahamic religions of Judaism,

Theories Of Ecofeminism
This chapter presents a review of the ecofeminist theory: the history of man s alienation from
women and nature, the basis for the association between women and nature. Different feminist
perspectives prior to the theory of ecofeminism and how they handled the mutual relationship
between women and nature and how this led to the emergence of the theory of ecofeminism. Some
of the important terms in the theory of ecofeminism, ecofeminism and deep ecology, ecofeminism
and the feminine principle, characterization of ecofeminist philosophy, ecofeminism and the sense
of place, and finally ecofeminism and the division within the theory itself.
During the last centuries, and especially after the emergence of the Industrial Revolution, a
degradation of our nature has been witnessed. This degradation has occurred in many natural
elements: air, water, and soil. Global warming, pollution, water contamination, unstable weather,
and many dysfunctions of the once stable earth has made thinkers consider the reason why such
deficiencies occur, and how to get things right before it is too late to take an action and our earth
goes beyond repair.
This current situation has made thinkers from different schools of thought try to figure out when
this contamination of nature took place; what ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

women and tribal cultures. (Birkeland, 1993: 18) Or in Ariel Salleh s words in Stirrings of a New

When demand elasticity for the same good is different in different countries, there is a possibility of subsidized exporting of goods. There is one more possibility that there are some countries that are historically above others and have a cost advantage of producing some goods, and they can offer products at lower price than others. In such as a situation, countries will provide subsidies to industries whose cost of production is high to enable them to obtain the benefit of scale economies. This will pave ways for advanced countries to follow aggressive strategic trade. Sunanda Sen wrote, It was generally recognized that the vagaries of history rather than resources determine what a country produces and exports. Thus the role of history and accident were both considered crucial in determining the location of an industry in the world map (Krugman 1994)(Sunanda Sen,2010). • 5. Thin Client vs. Fat Client Network Design Thin Client vs. Fat Client Network Design Considerations Introduction Network computing was created in an effort to allow users of a computer application to share data more easily than using stand alone computers. Clients on a client/server network store their application data on a central server. There are two categories of clients on a network. They were originally categorized by their hardware design, but today clients are categorized by the software application design and where the bulk of the processing is done and where the bulk of the application software is stored. A thin client, sometimes called a lean client, is a low cost, centrally managed computer. The term derives from the fact that small computers in networks tend ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A product made by Citrix Systems actually simulates a Microsoft Windows desktop from a thin 400KB client. The Citrix product does have server capacity problems when sending multimedia over a network, but basic word processing and accounting programs are practical over a Citrix network. This transition has made it once again easier to operate in a centralized processing computing environment. Today further enhancements to HTML are allowing more graphic intensive applications to be created. Macromedia Flash, Shockwave, and ActiveX Controls are enhancements to HTML which are allowing for a thin client application to have dynamic graphical interfaces. Load balancing systems such as Coyote Point Systems Equalizers are allowing reliable networks with redundant servers and application load spread over multiple servers. Lower telecommunication and standard routing protocols such as BGP have allowed remote offices relying on network access to have redundant routes to the internet or central servers. Part B #1 Selecting computer hardware and software for a company is an important management decision. This decision will have a direct impact on operational efficiency and competitive advantage. The most important management and organizational issue to consider is total cost of ownership. In considering a fat client or thin client network application design, managers must know what their total cost of ownership is. In many cases a thin client design has a higher up ... (http://encarta.msn.com/encyclopedia accessed 08 October 2004) Epithelial Tissues Epithelial tissues form the covering of all body surfaces with the functions being to provide protective covering, absorption, secretion, diffusion, sensation and contractility. Connective tissue examples are; adipose (fatty tissues), loose connective tissue, dense fibrous connective tissue, elastic connective tissue, cartilage, osseous tissue (bone), tendons and ligaments. I have chosen to look more at adipose (fatty tissue): Adipose is a specialised type of connective tissue which stores lipids. It collects in large numbers and is shaped to be large round or oval cells. Adipose has a similar function to that of fibrous tissue, which throughout the body connects by irregular network of strands to form a cushion layer to support blood vessels, nerves and other organs. Adipose is essential for insulation due to its low thermal capacity which allows the body to retain heat, thus functioning normally. Its other vital function is that of protection of delicate organs such as the eyes and kidneys. Fat cells offer this by forming liquid and being excellent at absorbing pressure as they cannot be flattened. Adipose tissue is needed for the body to turn to in times of need due to it being able to form a food reserve. Excess carbohydrates are made into glycogen and turned into fat and stored within adipose tissue which when energy is required by the body converts back. Adipose tissue is normally localised to certain depots within the body such ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The only interview I nailed was an interview for teaching position for Duval County School Board. Therefore, I became a part of the teaching profession in the fall of 1998 teaching Biology, Algebra I, Physical Science, and Chemistry in different years up until 2001. Additional, I was a science adjunct professor for two years at FloridaCommunity College in Jacksonville. I started the five year process of becoming an AME ministry with my initial sermon in December of 1998 at Wayman Chapel AME Church and my pastor was Rev. Mark L. Griffin. The church voted for me to be licensed in the quarterly conference in January 1999. I was examined by Presiding Elder DeSue in January 1999, examined by the District Conference in February 1999, and examined by the East FloridaConference of the Eleventh Episcopal District of the AME Church Board of Examiners in April 1999. Instructors advised me to attend seminary while I was attending the Board of Examiners. They explained I would have a better understanding of scripture, God, myself, and my calling. Finally, in October of 1999, I was admitted on trial in the Annual Conference of the East Florida Conference of the AME Church. I entered Candler School of Theology in the fall of 2001. • 9. The Psychological effect of Body Image on Adolescence For individuals in the adolescent stage, there are many experiences and social pressures that they face daily. In this time of development teenagers are starting to really ask questions like Who am I? While teenagers are in search for answers, they are bombarded with certain influential factors that can hinder or help them. Many of the social strains assist in the individual on how to define themselves, and the position of their social stature. One factor that is especially influential in the adolescent community is body image. Body image is an issue that has always been of important consideration for teenagers. How a person looks can determine who they associate with, how they are perceived and represent their way of self expression.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... J is a 12 year old teenager who frequently judges and tries to repair his appearance for about six hours a day. Illustrated by Philips and Rogers (2011), he believed that his head was too big, his arms looked like toothpicks, and his hair looked ugly and weird. J was very distraught with his body image and did not feel as if he could belong with other based on the difference of appearance. He is but one of the many teenagers who do not feel as if they fit in with the rest of the people of their age because their image is not often advertised with the word beauty. Body image can also cause teenagers to develop eating disorders such as bulimia nervosa and anorexia nervosa. Teenagers would try to adjust their appearance and not only psychologically but physically reject their bodies to comply with societies standards. According to Berk (2008), bulimia nervosa is an eating disorder in which young people engage in strict dieting and excessive exercise accompanied by binge eating, often followed by deliberate vomiting and purging with laxatives. Berk also explains that anorexia nervosa is a tragic eating disturbance in which young people starve themselves because of a compulsive fear of getting fat (291). Many times teenagers, mostly females, would suffer from bulimia and anorexia nervosa because they want to control how people perceive their images (292). • 10. Criticism Of Diego VelГ zquez s Las Meninas, SebastiГ n de... Diego VelГzquez was called the noblest and most commanding man among the artists of his country. He was a master realist, and no painter has surpassed him in the ability to seize essential features and fix them on canvas with a few broad, sure strokes. His men and women seem to breathe, it has been said; his horses are full of action and his dogs of life. Because of VelГzquez great skill in merging color, light, space, rhythmof line, and mass in such a way that all have equal value, he was known as the painters painter, as demonstrated in the paintings Las Meninas, SebastiГ n de Morra, and Baltasar Carlosand a Dwarf. The interlocking of these luminous areas is the more vivid as the middle distance is cut off by the shadows which spread across the floor. The depth of the chamber is stressed by the alternation of window jambs and picture frames on the right hand wall, the stretcher of the large canvas on the left foreground, and the perspective sequence of the empty lamp hooks on the ceiling, which mark as central the spot in the rear wall where the King and the Queen are seen reflected in the mirror. In no other painting has VelГzquez rendered space in so architectural a manner as in this, the only work in which he has depicted a ceiling. Neither is there any other composition of his that is so vividly keyed to the space lying out of the picture frame. Recent studies of Las Meninas, inspired by the ideas of Michel Foucault, have paid considerable attention to the seemingly novel relationship between the scene on the canvas and the spectator. These ideas tacitly assume that the picture was meant to be seen by the public at large, as if it were hanging in an important museum, as it is today. (They also exaggerate the novelty of the way in which the spectator is involved in the picture.) However, the original placement indicates that this is not the case. • 11. Cram Schools CanВґt Substitute for the Official Schools It is becoming increasingly common nowadays in China that students go to cram schools frequently instead of attending the official school every time when some important examinations are coming. This phenomenon happens a lot around me. Many good friends of mine, no matter whether they are good at studying or not, will chose to go to cram schools for further study. Their goals are to triumph over challenges and difficulties in study and make higher marks. However, to my surprise, having spent a lot of time and money, they made lower marks sometimes. They study very hard every time in cram schools, nevertheless, they feel worn out and always gain results, which are not satisfying. And what is also unfortunate is that their endeavors are in vain. How ridiculous it is! Cram schools should be to blame for this. Attending cram schools too much does harm to a student s academic achievement because of its high pressure, high costs, endless boring homeworkпјЊas well as the students lacking creativities and flexibilities. Firstly, cram school gives its students high pressure. Students who attend cram schools are supposed to study after study; also, they are expected to study against time in order to get higher grades. They re asked by the teachers to strive hard to excel in every examination, which leaves them no spare time to develop their hobbies. • 12. How Water Hardness Is Important For Homeowners And... Whether we realize it or not, water is surrounding us in different forms everywhere. Water actually makes up about 70% of Earth. Water is overall known as a good solvent that dissolves minerals it comes in contact with. As water moves through earth, it dissolves minerals and holds them in solution. The amount of metal cations, such as Calcium(Ca^2+) and Magnesium (Mg^2+) in water became known as water hardness . Water hardness can be detected by white residue and crystal like rocks when heated. Understanding water hardness is important to us because it has proven to create problems both in our households and in industry (1). These problems lead to expenses for homeowners and industry owners, they will end up spending money on expensive cleaning chemicals and machinery cleaners. In our household we water hardness pop up as soap scum in our dishes and in our laundry. Hard wateralso produces scale which, in industry and again in households can narrow pipes, block tubes, cause problems in brewing facilities, and can produce problems in farmland. The greater the presence of Calcium and Magnesium in water defines its hardness. For example a water sample with a large concentration of these two cations, along with smaller amounts of other polyvalent cations, is considered to be hard. (1, 2) And a sample with a smaller concentration of the cations is considered soft. Below is a table of the determination of water hardness scale. Water Hardness Scale Grains Per GallonMilligrams ... • 13. Ecological Theory And Social Work Hospital social work is time limited and the focus could easily be more directed at problems rather than solutions. Patients enter the hospital with a physical problem and desire to leave with answers. In this type of environment the focus can be on the physical ailment rather than additional factors that may be contributing to physical distress. Environmental factors can promote well being or become a barrier to wellness. An ecological perspective provides a lens to view patient systems in a broader context. Ecological perspective is a useful framework in which to view the individual in context with their environment. According to Rogers (2013) ecological theory was originally developed by a psychologist, Urie Bronfenbrenner in 1979 (p. 42). A fundamental tenet of ecological theory is that people are actively involved with their environments and their perceptions of the environment significantly affects their well being (p. 42). Ecological theory describes four levels of the environment that interconnect and impact people. Moving from the most intimate individual system to a broader inclusion you can identify the many systems that play a role in individual s lives and well being. These interactions could be harmonious and create homeostasis or could be disharmonious and cause stress. First, the microsystem level encompasses roles and relationships in a person s immediate environment (Rogers, 2013, p. 43). For example, Maria s relationships and home living situation ... • 14. Iago Cheating In Othello A real relationship will last beyond the rumors. Many would believe the wise person that once said this was speaking of Othello and Desdemona from William Shakespeare s famous play, Othello. These two characters were much in love at the beginning of the play, however, Iago, a character seeking revenge of Othello, twisted the loveinto hatred as the play moves on. Iagodrew the attention of, allured, and rationalized several reasons why Othello should believe that Desdemona is cheating on him. All in all, as Iago continues to poison Othello, Othello s mind becomes more and more infected with lies. At first, Iago drew Othello s attention towards Cassio, the charming soldier, and Desdemona. He pointed out that the two had been spending a lot of time together. This is shown in Othello when Iago says, Ha! I like not that... Nothing, my lord, or if I know not what... Cassio, my lord? No, sure, I cannot think it that he would steal away so guilty like seeing you coming (3.3.!). • 15. Loss Of Innocence In Laurie Halse Anderson s The Joy Luck... In all our lives, there is a fall from innocence. A time after which, we are never the same. Stand By Me. Innocence can be found at any age or any point in one s life. It means chastity, freedom from wrong, lack of knowledge, SIMPLICITY. When one has innocence the world seems easy without any worries, however that can all change when one loses their innocence. The loss of innocence can feel as though one has fallen into a black hole and can never escape, darkness, voicelessness, LONELINESS. In Amy Tan s The Joy Luck Club, Nadine Gordimer s Once Upon a Time , and Laurie Halse Anderson s Speak, the authors use main and supporting characters to show a loss of innocence at a young age. In The Joy Luck Club loss of innocence is expressed through the old woman from the fourth parable, Queen Mother of the Western Skies . In Once Upon a Time loss of innocence is expressed through the young boy. In Speakloss of innocence is expressed though Melinda. Although all three of these characters go through the same struggle of loss of innocence, Anderson s character Melinda is able to come to terms with her loss and regain her strength. In these three stories, Tan, Gordimer, and Anderson use the theme of loss of innocence to portray loneliness, fear, and barriers to show how one can learn from past experiences. In the fourth parable Queen Mother of the Western Skies , Tan uses the old woman to show her loss of innocence through flashbacks to her youth. As she plays with her granddaughter, the old woman wonders what she will teach the child. She sees the baby laughing and the old woman recalls that she too was once free and innocent , laughing for pure enjoyment (213). However, as time went on she threw away her foolish innocence to protect herself (213). As a result, when she had a daughter, she taught her daughter to do the same and shed her innocence (213). The old woman wonders if telling her daughter to do so was wrong, for now she can recognize the evil in the world. She calls the baby as if she is a high and mighty spirit named Syi Wang Mu , Queen Mother of the Western Skies and asks her to answer her question. Continuing to call her granddaughter the Queen, ... Through the great deal of experiences and challenges I have faced alongside my family, I have learned through both positive and negative means some of the things I truly value. The interactions between my sister and I in particular are predominantly amiable, but over some of the coarser periods of time in our relationship, our personal vendettas against one another have shown me that I valuemy public image above most things in life. It is for this reason when asked to give something of true value away, I have chosen to hand the keys of my kingdom to my sister, in the form of my Facebook email and password information. While this material may seem like an inconsequential offering to observers of different generations or walks of life, it is the nature and history of my relationship with my sister coupled with the significance this information holds to me that tells of the true sacrifice made in giving access to such a powerful tool. Before analyzing the degree to how much I valued what I gave my sister, it is important to understand what true value is. While value in terms of a currency or some means of exchange is seemingly one of the easier ways to determine something s worth, an item s history to the owner and the impact of its absence is a better determinate of its true value. Letter from Birmingham Jail is a letter written by Martin Luther King Jr. while he was in jail. King was in jail for partaking in protests against segregation. King s clergymen have recently called him out for his actions, stating that they are unwise and untimely. King then goes on to state why he thinks his actions are wise and timely. He then goes on talking about the unjustness in Birmingham at the time. King at the beginning tried to negotiate with the Birmingham community to stop segregation, but it ended up going nowhere. He ended up using nonviolent direct action which this started to make a difference. Martin Luther King Jr. s reasoning and evidence of his actions are very persuasive. The clergymen stated that King s actions of taking nonviolent direct actions is wrong and he should have negotiated with Brimingham. King think s that direct actions like, sit ins and marches, were really the only option. Reform must be initiated in the private sector of the health care system as well as the federally ran portion of health care in the United States. Citizens of the United States are fond of our particular representation and limited government intervention in our lives. Furthermore, the federal government does not have constitutional authority to initiate any type of healthcare reform. This issue of health care was regulated to the states by the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution since there are no provisions in the Constitution regarding health care. The Conflict Between Israel And Palestinian Refugees Going after their independence, Israel was looking for the support of big and powerful countries, and the cooperation of the surrounding states. Unfortunately, the Israeli independence movement did not turn out to be so easy. As the surrounding Arab nations began to get angry with the preferential treatment of the British, tensions rose between Israeland the Palestinians. Consequently, because of the superior army and the support behind Israel, the wars resulted in an abundance of Palestinian refugees that still struggle to establish their own state today. Through many efforts and support systems, international aid has been offered to the Palestinian refugees, but as proven by the millions of refugees that still live in the UNRWA camps today, none of these tactics have worked. Although international organizations were ineffective in solving the conflict between Israel and the Palestinian refugees, the establishment of an Arab state early on would have prevented a future humanitarian crisis; demonstrating the preferential treatment within foreign intervention. Leading up to the wars between Israel and the Arabs, Israel was getting favorable treatment from the British, as Palestinians were left to fight against the odds. This translates to an issue of global integration. What should Siemens do next regarding the Net Manager project? Having outlined a lack of support from Munich headquarters as a reason for NetManager s shortcomings, Siemens should keep project development in Bangalore. Rather than shifting development to Europe, which would result in tremendous transaction costs, Siemens should shift the necessary resources for completion to Bangalore. The hero s journey chiefly consists of the departure, trials, and the homecoming; the hero matures with the successful completion of each stage. Therefore, Odysseuss character transformation as a hero metaphorically conveys his progress in the hero s journey. In the beginning of the epic, Odysseus is like any other young, inexperienced hero with excessive pride in his raw strength. As he truly begins his journey into the unknown (departure), he learns that his character flaws threaten his objective. Up until his encounter with the Cyclops, Odysseus was accustomed to winning with his physical might (Trojan War). However, when his strength could do him no good while trapped in a cave with a beast, he was forced to think beyond killing and combat; ultimately he met success by using his mind, something he had never done before. • 35. The Louisiana Purchase Essays The Louisiana Purchase was done in the year 1803. In this purchase the United States of America paid fifteen million dollars to get all the land west of the Mississippi River and east of the Rocky Mountains. This transaction was done between Thomas Jefferson and the great Napoleon. The benefits that the United States of America experienced from this purchase were numerous. For one, it gave the U.S. complete control of the Mississippi, which in tern helped many farmers with transporting goods. Second, it more than doubled the size of the United States. With this huge amounts of land, the government could set up more farms to feed the young but growing nation. Despite these benefits, however, many people believe ... Napoleon then offered the American ambassadors a deal of a lifetime the whole Louisiana lands for only fifteen million dollars. Now why would France want to sell all this land? For one, there was a civil war in the Island of Haiti. There the slaves have revolted and won independence from France. Napoleon tried hopelessly to get the Island of Haiti back under control, but it was to no avail. Without control of Haiti the lands of Louisiana were useless to France, and thus Napoleon decided to sell it to the Americans. Moreover, Napoleon was planning to conquer all of Europe, this meant war with Great Britain. Since Napoleon knew that Britain would easily gain France s overseas lands, he decided to sell them for fifteen million dollars. Robert Livingston and James Monroe contacted Jefferson, who only wanted to get New Orleans, for advice, and the final decision. Jefferson, seeing it as an opportunity, agreed to pay

  • 37. How Does Liam O Flaherty Use Foreshadowing In The Sniper In the story The Sniper by Liam O Flaherty is about a Republican sniper watching over Dublin, Ireland. The story is set in the Irish Civil War. The author uses mood and foreshadowing to show and tell that war tears families apart. The central issue is about the Irish civil war and people killing and hurting each other. For example, in the beginning it states Republicans and free staters were waging civil war. (1). This illustrates that there is a civil war going on and people are dying for their side. Also, he uses foreshadowing because in the story, it says The flash might be seen in the darkness, and there were enemies watching. He decided to take the risk. (1). This shows/foreshadows his enemies seeing him and shooting at him, that is significant because if he were to be shot and killed, his family would be mourning over his death and they would have lost their son. Near the end of the story the author uses foreshadowing the death of a friend or family member of his. He does this by saying in the story He wondered did he know him... Then the sniper turned over the dead body ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Two craft moves are irony and description. Irony shows that war is tearing families apart because in the end it states Then the sniper turned over the dead body and looked into his brother s face (4). There is irony there because the reader does not expect the main character to kill somebody that he actually knew, let alone his brother. If the main character had known that it was his brother, then he would not have shot and killed him. Liam O Flaherty also uses description in the story to emphasize death of people and family members dying. For example, it states The old woman whirled round and fell with a shriek into the gutter. People can infer that the old woman has a family back home, she could have been a mother, a sister, or a wife, but she was killed in the war, destroying her family ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 38. The Influence Of Homer s Odyssey On Margaret Atwood Explain the influence of Homer s Odyssey on Margaret Atwood. It is very clear that Atwood was influenced by The Odyssey when writing The Penelopiad. After reading The Odyssey, it left Atwood with more questions than answers about the maids and Penelope. Atwood waned to explore the poem from a female perspective. Atwood found many inconstancies in the story of the maids which she wanted to explore. She also wanted to explore Penelope s role as a wife, mother and materfamilias. Margaret Atwood said that after reading The Odyssey she had two questions; what led to the hanging of the maids and what was Penelope really up to? In writing The Penelopiad, she felt she was able to answer those questions. Atwood acknowledged that The Odyssey recorded by Homer in a Patriarchal time period. This helped to shape and influence her desire to find out the answers to her questions and inspired her to write The Penelopiad with a modern perspective. I believe The Penelopiad was loosely based on some of the events that take place in The Odyssey. It is a re interpretation of Penelope s life story, including her early childhood, marriage, the events leading up to the hanging of the twelve maids and the reuniting of Odysseus and Penelope. Penelope, through Atwood, retells her story from the Greek underworld. She wanted to break the cultural myths and stereotypes about women that Homer had portrayed in The Odyssey. The Penelopiad does not retell the story of The Odyssey. The Odyssey is from ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Reflection Paper On Perseverance Research Reflection Before I began researching I was really passionate about the ability to persevere and I knew I wanted to talk about perseverance and explain why it was such an essential characteristic to have. I especially wanted to find examples of many others that had to persevere to get through their own tough times. But when I originally started researching my topic I did not exactly have anything in mind about what I was exactly looking for. This was mainly due to that I had the ideas in my head but did not know how to put those in a way that I could deliver it for the whole class to understand. So as I began researching I focused on just using perseverance in school, like not giving up after not getting a concept the first time. But after looking through a few articles I found many examples of when perseverance was used in other ways, such as building things for society or ways in which one can be successful. This then broadened my perspective on perseverance and showed me the benefits of it. The Grit: the Power of Passion and Perseverance. Ted Talk video was extremely helpful for my research since it gave me numerous amounts of examples of how the main thing that distinguishes kids for who they are is perseverance. For millennia the significance of dreams has escaped even the brightest of philosophers and intellectuals. Many people have speculated about why people dream and what meanings the dreams have but in recent times two theories have gained credibility in answering those questions. The first theory is Sigmund Freuds and the other is known as the cognitive theory of dreams also known as biological determinism. Freud outlines methods of interpreting dreams. The first is a symbolic interpretation of the dream. This method identifies symbols in the dream that represent something in the waking life, making the dream simpler to understand if done correctly (Freud 129). The second method is to decode the dream. Symbols are said to be universal and every symbol has a counterpart that it represents in the waking life. In effect the real meaning of the dream is encoded into universal symbols and must be decoded to understand it (Freud 130). Freud found two meanings in a dream: the manifest meaning and the latent meaning (Freud 168). The manifest meaning of a dream is what is remembered upon waking (Felluga). The manifest meaning can reflect a situation that follows common sense and unfold in a way possible in waking life. Other times it can take its own wild path that follows little or no logical sequence when viewed at surface level. Despite this vast difference, both of these are influenced by the superego, a part of the mind that Freud believes houses the knowledge of the structure of society and what is acceptable in the dreamers culture. The dream takes place on a stage or backdrop that makes sense and relates to waking life (Freud 216 17). While the manifest meaning is useful and can itself contain a message, interpretation of it can reveal more than seen at face value. The second meaning in a dream Freud labels the latent meaning. Many people said that zoos are a great place of entertainment because they can take their families to see lots of exotic animals that you only get to see in books or on TV. Other said that zoos could be described as some collections of animals found in nature. Of course, all these opinions are true because for me going to the zoo has been always a great place to learn and also have fun in company of my family. In addition, I ve found that all animals in the zoo have different personality. For instance, the last time I went, and I spent a lot of time watching the gorillas. I could noticed how all four gorillas that I watched are totally different. For example, Zuri the silverback gorilla show had been the leader of the group because he was the largest gorilla and have strong arms that make him to walk upright. However, there have been both good and bad point or opinions about zoos. In brief, for me zoos have more advantages than disadvantages because the purposes behind keeping animals in detention are associated with positive educational needs, research, recreation and conservation. But the question whether animals should be kept captivated or not will be always in a debate. First, zoos provide education to society. The role of zoos nowadays places a greater emphasis on education and conservation than merely recreation.
