Theme Of Tension In A Doll s House
In the play, A Doll s House, the juxtaposing placement of characters relative to doors creates tension
through separation and isolation; between the Helmers and the outside world, and within the Helmer
household. Throughout the play, the characters and stage directions relate the positioning of doors and
people to allow the audience to understand both the literal and figurative barriers between them. The
author, Henrik Ibsen, manipulates fully versus partially opened doors, movement through versus
stillness in doorways, and leaving the house versus already being outside to nonverbally communicate
the strain between characters.
Most apparently, the author makes a conscious choice between fully and partially opened doors to
symbolize the amount ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When people stand outside they represent the segregation of the family from the outside world. Nora
describes Krogstad s actions as he puts the letter in the letter box and states that he is standing outside
(29). His lack of motion outside shows the division between the Helmers and the outside, through the
angst Nora has about his actions. When Rank stands outside he asks her if he can come in for a
moment he asks to enter the enclosed area of the home, emphasizing the division between the Helmers
and the outside world (37). Nora going between the house and the outside and within the house,
increases the tension between the family. Nora and Helmer finish their conversation, and he forgives
her, Nora then goes out from the room (41). With her departure, she shows that although Helmer has
forgiven her, a lack of trust still exists between them. At the very end of the play, Nora, goes out by the
hall door (45). At this time, she exits the house completely, showing the inability for reparation
between her and Helmer. Nora s actions of leaving both rooms and the house, signify the destruction
of the relationships within the

Theme Of The Carousel In Something Wicked This Way Comes
Sometimes the man who looks happiest in town, with the biggest smile, is the one carrying the biggest
load of sin. There are smiles and smiles; learn to tell the dark variety from the light. (Bradbury 135)
Written in 1962, Ray Bradbury s Something Wicked This Way Comes is a fantasy fiction novel which
depicts the mysterious experience two teenage boys encounter one October night in Green Town,
Illinois. Within Something Wicked This Way Comes, Ray Bradbury utilizes symbolism of the carousel
in order to reveal the primary theme:beware of even the most innocent things, for they can be so
nefarious.
To begin with, the author incorporates the carousel as a symbol of evil disguised as innocence. In
reality, the carousel is a distortion which represents the fears and desires wicked people feed off of in
order to acquire ultimate power. In the novel, the author often refers to the carousel since it is almost
portrayed as a vault which is constantly revolving and depending on the innocent who succumb to the
dark side when their greatest fears are put to the test. According to Bud Martin, we are drawn in and
root for children because their security is being encroached upon, and it is their love and innocence
that both can make them victims and save them, in the end. The carousel is by far the most powerful
and important symbol within and throughout the novel because it is considered the powerhouse or
main source of energy which thrives solely on the souls of the weak and naive who

Creating Engaging Literacy Lesson Plan
Creating engaging literacy lesson plans takes a combination of effective instruction and material
interesting to students. Knowing your students is essential in the planning and implementing of any
lesson to ensure it reaches all students .Reading Comprehension: What Every Teacher Needs to Know,
states Influential teachers are highly valued participants in the reading process. They know the
importance of every student comprehending successfully. (McLaughlin,2012 p. 433). Ensuring all
students have the opportunity to learn and comprehend the information presented in a lesson is
important to lesson creation. Creating and implementing a reading/writing lesson for this course, took
some extra care and a planning. Using literacy based instruction practices in combination with STEM
education proved to be very helpful as well as engaging to my students.
I feel this lesson motivated students to read more informational texts. By reading this story, students
were intrigued about the other different kinds of boats there are and how they are made and work. This
also encouraged students to use a fictional text to learn about real world items. One student asked
what other kinds of books we could read to inspire us to build things. We discussed finding a story
about cars or buildings and then using different materials to create our own versions. This lesson also
introduced students to a way of applying what they learned from a fictional text, to other subjects, in
this case

Habitus By Bourdieu
The article Bourdieu and Habitus was not easy to read, but I found it enlightening as it helped to
reinforce my understanding of Bourdieu s concept of habitus by comparing and relating different roles
and norms of society. The term habitus derives from the Latin verb hebre meaning to have or to hold
(Swartz, 2002, p. 615), the concept grows out of Bourdieu s attempt to address the question, how the
human action follow regular pattern without being the product to some external structure, such as
cultural norms? The concept of habitus invites one to think of human practices as regulated by
transposable dispositions rather than cultural norms or by conscious attentions. The term dispositions
is key for Bourdieu, for it suggests a way of thinking about habit that is clearly different and more
active from the more popular idea of absolute repetition or routine. ... Show more content on

is more to human action than dispositions formed in the past. Hence, Bourdieu employs two additional

kinds of capitals, economic, social, cultural and symbolic being the principal ones that are unequally

Causes Of Forbidden Love In Romeo And Juliet Essay
The cause of forbidden love and death The play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, is about a
boy and a girl that come from two feuding families and find themself with forbidden love and getting
controlled by anger and ending up in death. There are many themes that are shown in the play, but one
that stuck out to me is how anger is controlling and can make you do things you d never do, the anger
between the two families is mysterious and misleading and the cause of their tragic death. Their
families happen to be very controlling of who they marry and who they fall in love with. In the
beginning the families are fighting and we see anger as something the families think is healthy and it s
just a little rivalry until it affects something as big as someone s life. When Shakespeare writes Where

O, i am a fortune s fool! (3.3 142) Romeo says after he kills Tybalt, this shows what Romeo was
thinking after he killed Tybalt and realizing he would most likely be punished and never be able to see
Juliet again. In this quote we can understand at this point in the story Shakespeare sees anger as
something misleading and anger can blind you and let your emotions go until it makes you do stupid
things without thinking about it. Based on the way Shakespeare words this quote, we see that anger
has clearly taken control over the couple, Romeo is banned from the city, which is where Juliet his
wife lives. Romeo is now going to Friar Laurence because he s been banned. Juliet is really confused
and does not want to be forced to marry Paris and would rather die. With all the anger heating up
inside Juliet she decides to go to Friar Laurence to get a plan of action so she can stay with Romeo but

Navajo Long Walk
From 1863 1868, the Navajo, or Diné, found themselves the target of a major campaign of war by the
Union Army and surrounding enemies in the American Southwest, resulting in a program of removal
and internment. This series of events is known to the Navajo as the Long Walk , where as a people the
Navajo were devastated by acts of violence from multiple factions of enemies. The perspectives of the
Navajo regarding the Long Walk can grant context to the changes occurring in the American
Southwest during the American Civil War, where the focus of the Union s military might fell upon
Native Americans instead of Confederate forces. Rather than as a program of Indian removal resulting
from the Civil War militarization of the Southwest, the Navajo ... Show more content on

Because Navajo resistance had been scattered, the tribe had not been brought to Bosque Redondo all
at one time, with some Navajo being confined to the reservation gradually upon capture or surrender

ancestors who escaped the Reservation, one such story by a Navajo states, My great grandmother was
captured...and taken to Hweeldi as a slave. She was barefooted all the time. There she cooked for the
soldiers every day until she got tired of cooking, and decided to run away. Her feet became blistered
from running What can be learned from stories like these are how Navajo understood the position of
those who were taken captive an placed on the reservation. The description of the great grandmother
as being taken to Bosque Redondo as a slave speaks to the degradation of status faced by captives,
further supported by the notion that one would be required to assist their captors, in this case, through
cooking. The difficulties of the life on the reservation prompted many to attempt escapes. Humiliated
by their defenselessness, and greatly demoralized by the consistent attacks by other tribes, many
Navajo refused to remain. During raids, children and other loved ones could be taken

The Importance Of Sanitation In Armall
Lack of solid waste collection and poor drainage combined with lack of safe pit latrines brings up poor
hygiene conditions in Armall. Therefore, the inadequate sanitation and hygiene practices in Armall
resulted in morbidity and mortality due to endemic infections, which cause diarrhoea and other
illnesses. Sanitation in Armall was severely neglected by both the service utility and the households
because some people in Armall were using open defecation, others used plastic bags as toilets and
others did the defecation in streets. Lack of water and sanitation in Armall has a serious effect on the
people s health, which has also created poverty to most households. As a nation, what should be born
in our minds is that poor environmental health

Alice, Food, And Inner Desires
Alice, Food, and Inner Desires Lewis Carroll s whimsical journey into Wonderland has created a
fantasy worlds full of mystery and depth. In this essay I will discuss the links between the
consumption of food and the underlying desires behind consuming. In this essay I will argue that food
is used as a transformative device to enable Alice to voluntarily explore and involuntarily supress her
inner desires. Within the Lewis Carroll texts, Alice s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the
Looking Glass and What Alice found there, Alice experiences two very different encounters with food.
Alice s Adventures in Wonderland delves into the idea of eating or drinking for pleasure. In contrast,

There are close links between Alice s change in size and the gain of power. According to Nicholson,
consuming food is the material means of growth, where growth may be defined as gaining power (39).
This translates to the idea that Alice has power over her surroundings, she desires to be omnipotent
and break free of her inhibitions. Nicholson also explains that What is killed does not die voluntarily.
Therefore the creatures man eats must be weaker than he is (39). Alice supports this idea when she
consumes the cake labelled EAT ME (Carroll 12). Not only does Alice consume the cake, but she does
so to gain the power to transform so that she may carry on with her pursuit of the garden. Alice s
consumption of food in Wonderland not only represents her need for power but also her need to fulfill
internal desires. According to Garland, Alice s attitude toward food...contrib[utes] to an understanding
of the representations of sexuality and subjectivity in Wonderland (25). This is reflected in Alice s
quick desire s to eat and drink in the first scene, despite the fact that she does not have any physical
hunger. Garland also notes that, the relationship Carroll presents between sexual females, desire, fear,
and death is contrasted strongly with female children, innocence, joy, and life (27). This suggests that
although Alice appears to be an innocent you

Bowlby s Attachment Theory
Attachment theory is understood by a deep bond that connects one person to another. Attachment is
characterized by specific behaviuors in children, such as seeking aid from the attachment figure when
feeling apprehensive or fearful.
Attachment theory originated with the work of John Bowlby (1958). Working in a child guidance
clinic in London led him to consider the importance of a child s relationship with their mothers. John
Bowlby working along side James Robertson (1952) revealed children experience intense anxiety and
stress when separated from their mother. Bowlby defined attachment as a lasting psychological
connectedness between human beings . Bowlbys theory of attachment was primarily biological; he put
much emphasis on attachment ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The mothers kept a diary in order to note down any evidence in favor of the development of
attachment. Stranger anxiety, separation anxiety and social referencing, this is when a child looks at
carer to see how they respond to a new situation, where all noted down in the children. They revealed
that a baby s attachment develops in this sequence: Asocial (0 6 weeks) Stimuli social and non social
produce a favorable reaction, Specific attachment (7 9 months) Special preference for a single figure.
Primarily develops by one year of age, Multiple attachments (10 months onwards) baby becomes
more dependent thus forming many attachments. The conclusion of the study was that baby s would
more likely form attachments with the individuals who responded accurately to the baby s cues.
Schaffer and Emerson referred to this as sensitive responsiveness.
However attachment is not an all or nothing process, it has been discovered that there may be apparent
variations between children in the attachments that they form.
Ainsworth and Bell (1971) did a controlled observation of children s attachment behavior using the
Strange Situation Classification (SSC); she did this to investigate the individual differences in
attachment by seeing how babies reacted in conditions of mild stress. Ainsworth and bell utilized a
laboratory using structured observations and observed infants aged 12 18 months.
By using a mother, her child and a stranger, they were able to enact a situation where the baby would
experience; separation anxiety, stranger anxiety, reunion behavior and willingness to

A Sand County Almanac Analysis
A Sand County Almanac The first remark Aldo Leopold made that genuinely caught my attention was
during February when Leopold was talking about the spiritual dangers in not owning a farm. Leopold
discusses the work put into heating a house in the middle of winter. The cutting, splitting, hauling, and
piling of oak would make people realize the amount of work that goes into the comfort of a warm
house while most people sit next to a radiator and pay no attention to where the heat comes from.

Mass Media In The Media
Mass media is a large part of what the population consumes and identifies with; the fact that so much
of life is influenced by the media is unhealthy especially considering how some of its messages are
inherently sinister, and reach a worldwide audience. It has the ability to progress or devolve a society
of people with the imagery it chooses to display. In the documentary, Miss Representation by Siebel
Newsom, the point is raised The media is selling young people the idea that girls and women s value
lies in their youth, beauty, and sexuality and not in their capacity as leaders. Boys learn that their
success is tied to dominance, power, and aggression. We must value people as whole human beings,
not gendered stereotypes (2011, Siebel Newsom). Infantilization, hypersexualization and
dehumanization/objectification of women are epidemics that spread throughout the media to a point
where it is rare, and jarring, to see a woman represented without those things. To contrast, men are
often portrayed as powerful and/or of a high status. They are allowed to age and given permission to
be given genuinely human traits and characteristics. This can severely impact the mindsets and
behaviours of the individuals who consume these images. When young women and girls are subjected
to these images hundreds of times a day for years, side effects include low self esteem, eating
disorders, and self objectification.

The litter has put the animals at such high risk of danger that most of these species are now
endangered. Some ways the animals are harmed are suffocating on plastic bags, getting trapped in
bottle holders, or being poisoned by the toxins in some litter.
These fish becoming poisoned by the toxins can carry disease and end up on your plate. Local seafood
restaurants or grocery stores cannot tell if the fish they serve to you has been affected by the hazardous
pollution. The fishermen that catch the fish locally cannot see a difference between the diseased fish
and normal ones either so the pollution in the community deposits into the harbor can come right
back. The local population also drinks the water that has been filtered and sometimes contains
dangerous minerals. This water runs through showers and faucets in homes that people use every day.
These reasons all concern the local community and they should because water pollution is a serious
problem and if people do not take action immediately than Charleston s water could become a
wasteland instead of a fun afternoon. Most people believe that the pollution is too much for them to

culture through his perspective until his death in 1978. I chose to do my looking assignment on his oil

Tubman Art museum. When I first looked at this piece I was very drawn to the texture. By the looks of
the picture I took, you cannot really tell that this piece is textured. This piece depicts a picture of a
man who seems to be a museum worker holding a frame and essentially framing himself in it. In this
piece you also see other pieces of art hanging on the wall around him giving him a wide variety of
very expressive looks. You see in this painting that Rockwell used a picture inside of a picture to tell

shoulders and varying his weight instead of just being very rigid and stiff. The paintings in the
background are different kinds of pieces. You see three different frames of artwork and then a

Rough Draft About Friendship
Friendship draft
A true friend is someone who would stop whatever they are doing to help you through anything and
you would do the same for them. In a friendship both people need to posses the same essential traits
for the friendship to be successful. Friends are a big part of my life because without them life would
be very dull. I think God made us to find people that we are compatible with so we can go through life
together. Three traits that a person should posses to be a good friend are honesty, loyalty and
encouragement. In my experience my friends who live out all three of these traits fully, are my closest
friends and I hold the same traits back to them.
Honesty is a difficult subject when it comes to friendship. There are two ways it can go. The first
scenario being one lies to their friend because they think they are protecting their feelings. This case is
bad because if you are always lying to your friend they are not going to trust you. The second scenario
is you are always honest to your friend about everything. When you are being too honest it can be
taken offensively and hurt the friendship. True friends find the perfect balance between the two. They
are honest with each other but they discuss topics in a respectful manner. ... Show more content on

On Thursday January 29th, 2015 in Glenmont Job Corps I met this young man name Sahr Joe. I was
At the Recreation center inside the dance room with a few girls I just met. We were fooling around.
Sahr Joe was with a couple of his guy friends playing 2k14 on the ps4. I stopped to use my input
brother s, Justin, phone. I happened to look up and Sahr is staring at me, so I started yelling at him.
Sahr didn t respond to me he just unpaused his game and started playing it again. Then during snack
time I was walking through the hallway and Sahr asked me what my name was. I told him, he and
asked if I want to take a walk with him I said sure. We walked around the campus for an hour and half

First Amendment Of The Bill Of Rights
The first amendment of the Bill of Rights allows citizens to speak and express their views without
getting in trouble by the government who is elected. Since I live in America I never thought about
other countries not being able to question the government for fear of getting into serious trouble or
even fear of your life. But today we are protected and allowed to express that disagreement with
anyone no matter who they are or what they do for a living. Remember back in time when royalty was
ruled by most nations and the United States was ruled by Great Britain the colonists could not gather
or even think about gathering to discuss or disagree with rules and laws forced upon them by the their
ruler so with that being said they couldn t even

History
Founding of Howard University
On November 19, 1866, a number of members of the First Congregational missionary society met to
hear Dr. Charles B Boynton, presiding minister, emphasize the special obligation of the nation and
clergy to the recently emancipated freedmen. Reverend Benjamin F. Morris, a member of the society,
then enthusiastically spoke about a visit to Wayland Seminary. During this visit he was impressed by
the accomplishments that a teacher with poor equipment was able to make with half a dozen young
colored men. By the end of the meeting, Morris then proposed the ... Show more content on

Analyzing The Aggregate Sales Of New Light Vehicles
Abstract This paper offers a new framework for analyzing the aggregate sales of new light vehicles
that incorporates cars and light duty trucks. Because this approach requires only a minimal set of
assumptions about demographic trends, the state of the economy, consumer preferences, new vehicle
prices and repair costs, and vehicle retirements, household income, it is shown to be especially useful
as a forecasting tool as well get more insight on the buying behavior of consumers as well as
understand why sales of light duty truck is more than that of the cars. This is NADA data that shows
the total new light vehicle sales rose by certain percent in 2013. This is a statistical abstract of the
United States that has been designed to serve as a guide to understand the motor vehicle sales from
2004 to 2013. Executive Summary This report summarizes the statistical modeling and analysis
results associated with the light vehicles sales in United State of America for over ten years. The
purpose of this report is to document the data collection and all the corresponding data modeling and
inference technique used during the subsequent statistical analyses. The data used was drawn from
NADA and the paper gives a concise overview of sales in the cars and light duty trucks. The reports
indicate that the total new light vehicle sales rose by seven and a half percent in twenty thirteen. This

The Addams Family Movie Analysis
Theatre Critique The Addams Family is a new musical comedy written by Marshall Brickman and
Rick Elice, with music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa. The musical is based off of the loveable
characters from the 1960 s television show as well as the more recent movies. Performance Riverside
s Production of The Addams Family was _____ based on the actor s execution of the stage directions,
the specific makeup and costume choices for each character, and the seemingly endless possibilities
the lighting and set offered.
of the The director, Larry Raben excellently executed the performance. The actors put their full heart
and soul into the characters, the play moves smoothly, and the costumes were more than I expected.
Because of the acting, design, and lighting this performance must be seen. The acting was generally
composed and well remembered. The main characters Gomez, Morticia, Wednesday, Pugsley, Uncle
Fester, Lurch, and Grandma Addams respectfully felt like a real family and communicated very well
for the whole play. For example Erica Weisz as Morticia Addams whose performance stood out the
most. She was the most exhilarating actor and I couldn t wait to see more of here while each scene
passed. My favorite scene with her was The Game a dinner scene where they take turns sipping out of
a cup that makes them say what they truly want in life. On the other hand Pugsley played by Brendan

Groups in Health Service Information Systems Essay
Groups in Health Service Information Systems National Health Service (NHS) in United Kingdom is
the third largest organisation in the world after the Chinese Army and the Indian Railway (Hazel, B.,

to over 57 million people. Staff members came from various nationalities, ethnicities, cultures and etc;

Group affects its members psychology (Robbins, 2002; Wu and Hu, 2007). Hence, group member and
an individual staff member show different characteristics. Especially, in larger hierarchical
organisation like NHS, informal groups could be seen in every strata and every specialised area than a
horizontal organisation. In flat organisations, i.e. factories in manufacturing sector, informal groups
could easily transform into formal groups i.e. trade unions and eventually lost its informalities. This is
simply because existence of large number of staff members with similar characteristics. Hence, formal

agendas of people who are willing to join a group; prior knowledge, skills, threat, fear, attitudes,

Anselm s Existence of God Refuted Essay
Anselm s Existence of God Refuted
Anselm s Existence of God Refuted
If the only proofs for the existence of God were Aquinas s five ways and Anselm s ontological
argument, in my opinion, Anselm provides the best reasoning. I am not saying that Anselm s argument
is good, or even valid, but just that given the set of proofs by Aquinas and Anselm, Anselm s is better.
Anselm argues, in effect, that the existence of God is built into the very concept of God. He proceeds
by a form of argument called reductio ad absurdum reduction to absurdity. He attempts to show that
the position of the fool the non believer who has said in his heart, There is no God is incoherent and
leads to absurdity. (Cottingham, 1996: 246)
How does ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, just because something exists in the understanding, we would not normally conclude that it
also exists in reality. As Anselm himself points out, a painter may have the completed work of art in
his mind, but that does not make it a real painting. (Cottingham, 1996: 246)
What Anselm tries to show next is that in this case, having an idea in the understanding requires one to
admit that the thing exists in reality as well. For suppose that God exists only in the understanding.
Then we can conceive of a greater being: one who exists in reality as well. Moreover, that would mean
that this God who exists only in the understanding is not the greatest conceivable being. (Cottingham,
1996: 246)
Now we have a contradiction.
Now come to the case of God. The GCB would have to be wise, because a wise being is greater than a
being that is not wise. In addition, the GCB would have to be just, because justice is better than
injustice. What Anselm is claiming is that the GCB must also exist, because a being that exists in
reality is greater than one that exists merely in the understanding. So:
It would be a contradiction to say; God (the GCB) is not wise
It would be a contradiction to say, God is not just.
In addition, it would be a contradiction to say, God does not exist.
There are many arguments as to why Anselm s argument is invalid. I have chosen three of them, and
have illustrated how these arguments make Anselm s

Meet The Sixth Sense Interaction Summary
Meet the sixth sense interaction
Presented by researcher Pattie Maes of MIT
SUMMARY
Researcher Pattie Maes definitely presented information with exigence: she had possibly opened a
new area of deep research as President Kennedy did with NASA. Maes had introduced the possibility
of utilizing technology to artificially develop a sixth sense, a technology that would serve as a
personal assistant to humans, likewise the smartphone. Maes had introduced her product as the
sixthsense camera. Clients would simply wear the, as she suggested, unstylish camera, around the
neck and interact with its projection. This sixthsense camera is similar to the technology fictional
character Rory Starks uses in his laboratory in the movie Ironman. Clients would make gestures with
their hands and conveniently surf the internet or possibly research a biography of a ... Show more

Will gaining a sixthsense further develop the gyri and sulci of the human brain? The answer to this is
likely both yes and no. Gaining a sixthsense will undoubtfully permit students an efficient and easy
access to information although may inhibit development of patience and hard work. Students may lose
social skills, continuing a millennial like trend, as the need to socialize and determine the identity of
others will no longer be necessary via a mouth and questioning, but rather via a holographic
projection. I am quite frankly fascinated by the idea of developing a sixthsense although do believe
this should be left alone and not diffuse globally. I am a firm believer of humanity and philosophy,
however, the sixthsense technology will not encourage nor force students to think either critically nor
liberally as all information will be readily available. I believe humans should learn become polyglots
in order to find, create and retain knowledge, not have a cloud spoon feed it to

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
A learning organization is fast becoming a reality. In any organization continuous learning means
growth through learning events and experiences for individual employees as well as teams, and the
organization as a whole. HR plays an important role in developing a culture of continuous learning.
Identifying training and development needs and arranging and development programs for employee is
part of the whole learning process. A system which creates an environment conductive to learning
through experience, coaching, mentoring, self learning as well as through training and development is
a must in the learning organization. HR which is the main organizer, director and controller of learning

Tattooing Research Papers
Tattooing has become kind of like yoga so hip it is nearly mainstream and as a result tattoo shops and
tattoo artists are popping up all over. While it might be tempting to just buy yourself a tattooing kit
and practice on some friends, that is no way to become a good tattoo artist. Tattooing is an old,
complex art that requires serious study both for good results and for safety.
Here is the typical path a true tattoo artist will take to learn their trade:
1) Have a natural talent for drawing and a love of tattoing
You ve got to have a natural interest in drawing and art, and you ve got to think tattoos are really,
really cool to have enough desire to make it through your training. You should be the kid who s always
carrying a notebook, always drawing, and you should also have gotten at least a few tattoos to be
taken at all seriously. Don t get too many tattoos, though you ll need the blank space for later.
2) Build a great portfolio
Take all that natural artistic ability and put together a killer portfolio. Study drawing and anatomy like
any real artist would, and preferably get yourself at least a certificate in drawing and art, if not a full
blown undergraduate degree. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

techniques and history (from books or talking to people in the industry). Getting certified in health
issues like sterilization and blood borne pathogens will help your chances. You will probably also
want to get a tattoo from the master you are considering before you formally apply for an
apprenticeship. Consider your tattoo part of the interview process and pay super close attention to how

Eschatology has significant implications on how I understand the ways in which God will finish his
redemptive work. Furthermore, eschatology sheds light on the Kingdom of God, which Christ came to
inaugurate. As a result of these convictions, I have chosen to write a paper discussing the amillennial
position. I will primarily be discussing this position in light of Revelation 20:1 6 and will use other
key passages to rightly interpret what I see in this text.
At this point in my studies I m leaning towards the amillennial view with an understanding that Satan
is bound through the death and resurrection of Christ, is currently prevented from ultimately deceiving
the nations, and cannot hinder the spread of the gospel. I believe that we currently live in the church
age and at the end of this present age, Satan will be let loose for a final battle against the church of
Jesus Christ. Christ will then return and judge all of his enemies and the promised new creation will
become reality where his people will bodily reign with him even as they are currently seated with him
spiritually. It is my goal now to unpack these convictions and explain why I m leaning towards the
amillennial position.
The Kingdom
Andrew Hoekema possibly best defines the Kingdom as, the reign of God dynamically active in
human history through Jesus Christ, the purpose of which is the redemption of God s people from sin
and from demonic powers, and the final

The Effect Of Color On Testing Results
The Effect of Color on Testing Results Introduction Our experiment focused on testing scores. We
wanted to see whether the color of ink that was used on a test would affect a student s performance on
that test. We chose to conduct this experiment in the Sterling C. Evans Library to get a wide variety of
students to take the tests since it is the largest and most central library on campus. We felt that this
way the best way to attempt to limit the other variables that could affect our results. Our hypothesis
was that red ink would cause that student to do more poorly on the test than the student would have
done on a test with black ink. Our theory was that red ink would remind students of wrong answers on
previous assignments and create a feeling of stress and anxiety. We attempted to answer this question
by giving students of various genders, majors, and ages a test of medium difficulty in red and black
ink and analyzing the data to find out if their scores correlated with the ink color. In order to determine
whether there was a correlation between ink colors and test scores, we measured the students number
of wrong answers on the test, time taken on the test, stress level, age, classification, gender, GPA, and
college. We chose these measures because they yielded numerical values that could be statistically
assessed, and they account for any other variables that might play into the correlation. We measured
our results using descriptive statistics, using numbers to

The story of Frankenstein is one that focuses mainly on the idea of losing touch with the reality of
what is family and love whilst in the pursuit of knowledge. This can initially be experienced in the

in search of a passage to the pacific, risks his life without much regard for how his sister may feel.
During his voyage Walton eventually gets into a situation, being trapped by the ice, that jeopardizes

because if it gets a person to stop, that not means they are interested, but that they are also taking the

enough to stay in a person s head, and simple location reminders will help to spark desire. For
example, after seeing the slogan, if the person sees a sign for Prince Edward Island, farms, red sand,

A disaster can strike at any time. In fact, there are more than 35 types of disasters, ranging from the
most common – power outages to the most catastrophic – earthquakes. In essence, a disaster includes
any type of interruption of service that results from some force beyond the organization s control.
Disaster recovery provides systematic procedures for how to react to and how to recover from that
ominous external or internal force. Disaster recovery planning, which complements business
continuity and contingency planning, ensures the ability of the organization to function effectively if
an unforeseen event severely disrupted normal operations.
The following template will help the key individuals in your organization to go through the thought
process for preparing a disaster recovery plan, which s aimed at restoring all critical business
functions, rather than disparate functions such as the data center, alone.

Organize the Project
A successful initiative of this magnitude requires these things: support from senior management
associated with the organization, a dedicated disaster recovery team whose members have knowledge
of critical business systems, and a well thought out planning strategy and testing strategy. The disaster

Using Data Analysis And Record Keeping
Excel and access are two different programs that are used in data analysis and record keeping. They
both have their advantages and disadvantages of using them but over the years one has grown to
dominate the field of records and analysis. Access is made up of seven major components which are
relationships, queries, forms, reports, modules, tables and macros (Brady Monk, 2009). Due to this
complexity of divisions, using it becomes cumbersome the hence not the right tool for data analysis
unlike excel where you only enter the data in tables. Over the years excel has proven to be the perfect
platform to collect and analyze data on. This is due to constant improvements in data analysis
formulas, graphs, charts and analysis styles the latest one being pivot tables. The greatest advantage of
excel is that it is easily compatible with other business software s hence ability to offer better results.
Giving the ease of entering data in excel the first priority in the hierarchy of its advantages, other facts
that stand out in excel include building great charts using pie charts and graphs. This will help a lot in
the presentation of data collected. Use of conditional formatting is another fact that makes excel stand
out against access. This is because you have the ability to format orders differently depending on
customers or goods ordered. The last very important advantage of excel is the ability to analyze data
and identify different trends of different customers or goods

Evolution Of Barbie s Embodiment Of Pop Culture
The evolution of Barbie has been an interesting one. The doll has sparked countless debates, yet has

society and current fashions that have transfixed the world over time. Barbie is a tangible embodiment
of pop culture throughout the years, she has managed to become popular and stay popular, because she

seven skin tones and 22 eye colours addressing long time criticism that the dolls did not accurately
reflect the modern woman. This change means more representation for women of colour, more
representation of a normal female body type, teaching young girls that white is not default and
anorexia is not beautiful. This links back to the much needed change in social thinking and the
popularity of healthy lifestyles and colour representation in 2016. Barbie has begun to represent
women outside the thin, white, blonde archetype and represent women as a diverse set of individuals,
appealing to a wider range of consumes and the new trend in pop culture. Barbie has reinforced pop

Introduction: Political parties represent very important factor in order to have a democratic system in
particular and a democratic country in general, they work as the mediator between the society and the
state and the effectiveness of the party system in any country depend mainly on its ability to achieve
the demands of the public. However, in Latin America, not all the countries have that important

in Brazil and Chile and the reasons for the different outcome that party system through forming

connecting, and predicting. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Carlos is someone worth evaluating because one, he is someone who is reckless. Carlos is considered
reckless in the book because of a few reasons. One reason is that Carlos said in the book that I want to
live life on my own terms(Elkeles 1) , so he is saying he doesn t wanna follow any rules and he wants
to do things on his own terms. The second reason he is viewed as reckless is because the first thing he
does when he moves to Colorado is join a Mexican gang that tries to make him into a drug lord. While
Carlos is considered reckless or tough, he is also soft hearted, or has a soft side. A few explanations
for Carlos s soft side is first off when he goes to live with his professor he falls in love with his
daughter like a day or two after he moved in. Another reason for Carlos s softer side is that when he
does fall in love with Kiara he falls in love with her really fast and really loves

Prokaryotes And Eukaryotes
Cells, a unique characteristic of life and the start of humanity at its finest. Discovered in 1653, by a
man named of Robert Hooke, coined the term Cells and was credited with it as well. The scientist said
it reminded him of the cells of a monastery. These building blocks of life could be broken down into
several different parts but the main two parts are prokaryote and eukaryote. Prokaryotes are one celled
organisms such as bacteria. Prokaryotes are able to thrive in very harsh conditions including
hydrothermal vents, hot springs, swamps, wetlands, and even the guts of humans and animals, called
extremophiles. Prokaryotes contain a set amount of organelles in which are a cell wall, DNA, and
cytoplasm. They do not reside a nucleus, but contains ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The mitochondria takes glucose the chloroplast has produced and turns into Adenosine Triphosphate
better known as ATP. The energy source for this plant gives it the ability to regulate a limited amount
of power throughout the cell to perform its usual duties to help the cell reproduce and maintain its
general stability. Along the line another special organelle the helps the cell regulates the waste
products, which is known as the Lysosomes. Lysosomes contain special enzymes called hydrolytic
enzymes that digests the worn out organelles, macromolecules, and breaks down viruses as well. The
Lysosomes comes from the endoplasmic reticulum through transport vesicles and goes to the Golgi
body and that there the Lysosomes then transfers off of the membrane bound organelle and then awaits
the arrival of an intruder through phagocytosis. Phagocytosis is the process by which a cell often a
phagocyte or a protist engulfs a solid particle to form an internal vesicle known as a phagosome. This
here breaks down the invader and dissolves it to heal the cell. This masculine like structure also breaks
down dead organelles and puts it back into the cell recycling its nutrients for it to use

The Driving Factors Of Immigrant Entrepreneurship
1.0 Introduction
Immigrant entrepreneurship is a relatively new phenomenon that explores the setting up and managing
of business by immigrants in their adoptive countries. Brush et al. (2010) note that immigrant
entrepreneurship has become a type of growth sector because both the host and ethnic countries
benefits from it. The driving factors of immigrant entrepreneurship are distinct from other forms of
entrepreneurship because they accrue from necessity, and the need to survive in dismal employment
situations. Bandyopadhyay et al. (2017) posits that immigrants are drawn to specific countries mostly
the Organisation for Economic Co operation and Development (OECD) countries due to the push
factors such as unemployment and lack of amenities in the home country and pull factors such as
potential for employment and better service provision in the host country. However, these expectations
may not always be met compelling the immigrant to look for other sources of income through
entrepreneurship. Australia s Australian s First policy for job employment provides an apt example of
natives receiving first priority in job selections (Karp, 2017). Hence, with economic insecurity and
lack of employment opportunities, immigrants are forced to seek alternative income means such as
self employment. Zimmerman (2016) considers immigrant risk taking in unfamiliar territories with
minimum resources as fulfilling the entrepreneurial characteristics. The difference, however, is that
immigrant entrepreneurship is different from other forms of entrepreneurship, particularly in terms of
funding, performance and survival rate. The European Commission (2003) remarked that immigrant
businesses in Europe showcase a potent entrepreneurial capacity and potential. This thesis aims to
assess the extent to which immigrant entrepreneurship differs from other entrepreneurial forms. This
will be achieved through a review of existing narratives on the subject.
2.0 Existing Literature Overview
The existing literature on entrepreneurship stems from economical conceptual frameworks developed
in the early twentieth century by Schumpeter, Cole, Kirzner among others. Fayolle (2014) notes that
entrepreneurship has gained considerable study

The Negative Human Impacts On The Oceans
The Negative Human Impacts on the Oceans It was Mihaljo Mesarovic, the author of Mankind at the
Turning Point , who once said The Earth has cancer and the cancer is man . He was definitely onto
something. In fact, humans have had a major negative impact on the world s marine environment.
Throughout recent human history, it has been obvious that the wellbeing of the marine environment
has been in jeopardy. Pollution of the ocean, overfishing and the greenhouse gases these are all the
aspects that can cause the destroying of the precious environments, such as reefs, sea grass and coastal
habitats. According to the essay and interview Seafarming at the End of the World , written by Peter
Meehan, he presents the fact that human impact on the ocean is the main reason that causes the awful
situation of marine ecosystem and organisms. Although the ocean covers approximately two thirds of
the Earth s surface, it is surprisingly susceptible to human influences. The effects of rubbish dumping
have tainted our oceans and they have taken their toll on the vast marine environments and the
populations in which they contain. Rubbish dumping involves depositing all the waste materials from
factories and industries, tankers and ships and sewerage waste materials into the oceans and seas. In
the report Causes and Effects of Ocean Dumping , the author Sharda states that The wastes that are
dumped into the oceans tend to have toxic substances which soak in all the oceanic oxygen. This

The Water Systems And Landforms
Introduction While studying water systems and landforms in our lab, we begin to wonder about
certain climates and regions. In this paper, I will discuss the water systems and landforms found in
Baton Rouge, Louisiana, as well as two other cities in the United States. I will explore the amount of
water that comes and leaves their systems, as well as the natural landforms that occupy their regions.
Background Throughout this paper, there are terms you will need to know. While discussing the water
systems of Baton Rouge, we will discuss both precipitation and evapotranspiration. Precipitation is the
process of weather in the form of rain, snow, hale, or sleet falling to the ground. Evapotranspiration is
the process in which water is transferred from the land to the atmosphere by evaporation (merriam
webster.com). Also understanding what a deficit is, or when the amount of water being provided is too
small an amount. While discussing the landforms of Baton Rouge we will discuss the Topography, or
the arrangement of the natural and artificial physical features of an area (merriam webster.com).
Methods Data Baton Rouge, Louisiana is located at 30Ëš27 N, 91Ëš08 and has an average elevation of 51
feet above sea level. It is located in the southeastern part of the United States. To establish data, I used
the water balance charts that we completed during lab 6. This analysis provided a collection of the
average annual rainfall in inches and as well as the potential

Reflecting its deep commitment to universalizing access to and completion of elementary education of

Using the MGF to analyse the inclusive education policies, this paper identifies that the actors
involved in designing those policies at various levels are situated not just hierarchically but also
laterally, in distinct organisational settings. A traditional stages analysis is likely to entail assumptions
that the policies to be identified are in the least clear, credible and

exist governance mechanisms facilitating the decentralisation processes and adequate legal and
financial support to the proposed policy reforms. The MGF approach alternatively raises empirical
questions about the extent to which these exist and the forms they take. For instance, it allows us to
explore the level of engagement between the political administrative institutions responsible for
establishing the institutional framework and the contextual relations determining the

Domino Theory Cold War
What is the Domino Theory? The Domino Theory was a cold war policy that suggested a communist
government in one nation would quickly lead to communist takeovers in neighboring countries each
falling like a perfectly aligned row of dominos. The Domino Theory began in 1950. When the makers
of U.S. foreign policy had firmly embraced the idea that the fall of Indochina to communism would
lead rapidly to the collapse of other nations in Southeast Asia (History). You might wonder what the
Domino theory had to do with the cold war? The cold war nation was born of the domino theory
which held , if one of our neighboring countries fell under communist influence or control we would
soon follow ( U.S History ).The U.S. got involved with the domino theory

  • 2. Theme Of Tension In A Doll s House In the play, A Doll s House, the juxtaposing placement of characters relative to doors creates tension through separation and isolation; between the Helmers and the outside world, and within the Helmer household. Throughout the play, the characters and stage directions relate the positioning of doors and people to allow the audience to understand both the literal and figurative barriers between them. The author, Henrik Ibsen, manipulates fully versus partially opened doors, movement through versus stillness in doorways, and leaving the house versus already being outside to nonverbally communicate the strain between characters. Most apparently, the author makes a conscious choice between fully and partially opened doors to symbolize the amount ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When people stand outside they represent the segregation of the family from the outside world. Nora describes Krogstad s actions as he puts the letter in the letter box and states that he is standing outside (29). His lack of motion outside shows the division between the Helmers and the outside, through the angst Nora has about his actions. When Rank stands outside he asks her if he can come in for a moment he asks to enter the enclosed area of the home, emphasizing the division between the Helmers and the outside world (37). Nora going between the house and the outside and within the house, increases the tension between the family. Nora and Helmer finish their conversation, and he forgives her, Nora then goes out from the room (41). With her departure, she shows that although Helmer has forgiven her, a lack of trust still exists between them. At the very end of the play, Nora, goes out by the hall door (45). At this time, she exits the house completely, showing the inability for reparation between her and Helmer. Nora s actions of leaving both rooms and the house, signify the destruction of the relationships within the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Theme Of The Carousel In Something Wicked This Way Comes Sometimes the man who looks happiest in town, with the biggest smile, is the one carrying the biggest load of sin. There are smiles and smiles; learn to tell the dark variety from the light. (Bradbury 135) Written in 1962, Ray Bradbury s Something Wicked This Way Comes is a fantasy fiction novel which depicts the mysterious experience two teenage boys encounter one October night in Green Town, Illinois. Within Something Wicked This Way Comes, Ray Bradbury utilizes symbolism of the carousel in order to reveal the primary theme:beware of even the most innocent things, for they can be so nefarious. To begin with, the author incorporates the carousel as a symbol of evil disguised as innocence. In reality, the carousel is a distortion which represents the fears and desires wicked people feed off of in order to acquire ultimate power. In the novel, the author often refers to the carousel since it is almost portrayed as a vault which is constantly revolving and depending on the innocent who succumb to the dark side when their greatest fears are put to the test. According to Bud Martin, we are drawn in and root for children because their security is being encroached upon, and it is their love and innocence that both can make them victims and save them, in the end. The carousel is by far the most powerful and important symbol within and throughout the novel because it is considered the powerhouse or main source of energy which thrives solely on the souls of the weak and naive who ... Knowing your students is essential in the planning and implementing of any lesson to ensure it reaches all students .Reading Comprehension: What Every Teacher Needs to Know, states Influential teachers are highly valued participants in the reading process. They know the importance of every student comprehending successfully. (McLaughlin,2012 p. 433). Ensuring all students have the opportunity to learn and comprehend the information presented in a lesson is important to lesson creation. Creating and implementing a reading/writing lesson for this course, took some extra care and a planning. Using literacy based instruction practices in combination with STEM education proved to be very helpful as well as engaging to my students. I feel this lesson motivated students to read more informational texts. By reading this story, students were intrigued about the other different kinds of boats there are and how they are made and work. This also encouraged students to use a fictional text to learn about real world items. One student asked what other kinds of books we could read to inspire us to build things. We discussed finding a story about cars or buildings and then using different materials to create our own versions. This lesson also introduced students to a way of applying what they learned from a fictional text, to other subjects, in this case ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 6. Habitus By Bourdieu The article Bourdieu and Habitus was not easy to read, but I found it enlightening as it helped to reinforce my understanding of Bourdieu s concept of habitus by comparing and relating different roles and norms of society. The term habitus derives from the Latin verb hebre meaning to have or to hold (Swartz, 2002, p. 615), the concept grows out of Bourdieu s attempt to address the question, how the human action follow regular pattern without being the product to some external structure, such as cultural norms? The concept of habitus invites one to think of human practices as regulated by transposable dispositions rather than cultural norms or by conscious attentions. The term dispositions is key for Bourdieu, for it suggests a way of thinking about habit that is clearly different and more active from the more popular idea of absolute repetition or routine. ... • 7. Causes Of Forbidden Love In Romeo And Juliet Essay The cause of forbidden love and death The play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, is about a boy and a girl that come from two feuding families and find themself with forbidden love and getting controlled by anger and ending up in death. There are many themes that are shown in the play, but one that stuck out to me is how anger is controlling and can make you do things you d never do, the anger between the two families is mysterious and misleading and the cause of their tragic death. Their families happen to be very controlling of who they marry and who they fall in love with. In the beginning the families are fighting and we see anger as something the families think is healthy and it s just a little rivalry until it affects something as big as someone s life. Based on the way Shakespeare words this quote, we see that anger has clearly taken control over the couple, Romeo is banned from the city, which is where Juliet his wife lives. Romeo is now going to Friar Laurence because he s been banned. Juliet is really confused and does not want to be forced to marry Paris and would rather die. • 9. Navajo Long Walk From 1863 1868, the Navajo, or Diné, found themselves the target of a major campaign of war by the Union Army and surrounding enemies in the American Southwest, resulting in a program of removal and internment. This series of events is known to the Navajo as the Long Walk , where as a people the Navajo were devastated by acts of violence from multiple factions of enemies. The perspectives of the Navajo regarding the Long Walk can grant context to the changes occurring in the American Southwest during the American Civil War, where the focus of the Union s military might fell upon Native Americans instead of Confederate forces. Because Navajo resistance had been scattered, the tribe had not been brought to Bosque Redondo all at one time, with some Navajo being confined to the reservation gradually upon capture or surrender over the years, and other evading capture entirely. • 11. Alice, Food, And Inner Desires Alice, Food, and Inner Desires Lewis Carroll s whimsical journey into Wonderland has created a fantasy worlds full of mystery and depth. In this essay I will discuss the links between the consumption of food and the underlying desires behind consuming. In this essay I will argue that food is used as a transformative device to enable Alice to voluntarily explore and involuntarily supress her inner desires. Within the Lewis Carroll texts, Alice s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass and What Alice found there, Alice experiences two very different encounters with food. Alice s Adventures in Wonderland delves into the idea of eating or drinking for pleasure. In contrast, Through the Looking Glass and What Alice Found There ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There are close links between Alice s change in size and the gain of power. According to Nicholson, consuming food is the material means of growth, where growth may be defined as gaining power (39). This translates to the idea that Alice has power over her surroundings, she desires to be omnipotent and break free of her inhibitions. Nicholson also explains that What is killed does not die voluntarily. Therefore the creatures man eats must be weaker than he is (39). Alice supports this idea when she consumes the cake labelled EAT ME (Carroll 12). Not only does Alice consume the cake, but she does so to gain the power to transform so that she may carry on with her pursuit of the garden. Alice s consumption of food in Wonderland not only represents her need for power but also her need to fulfill internal desires. According to Garland, Alice s attitude toward food...contrib[utes] to an understanding of the representations of sexuality and subjectivity in Wonderland (25). This is reflected in Alice s quick desire s to eat and drink in the first scene, despite the fact that she does not have any physical hunger. Garland also notes that, the relationship Carroll presents between sexual females, desire, fear, and death is contrasted strongly with female children, innocence, joy, and life (27). • 12. Bowlby s Attachment Theory Attachment theory is understood by a deep bond that connects one person to another. Attachment is characterized by specific behaviuors in children, such as seeking aid from the attachment figure when feeling apprehensive or fearful. Attachment theory originated with the work of John Bowlby (1958). Working in a child guidance clinic in London led him to consider the importance of a child s relationship with their mothers. John Bowlby working along side James Robertson (1952) revealed children experience intense anxiety and stress when separated from their mother. Stranger anxiety, separation anxiety and social referencing, this is when a child looks at carer to see how they respond to a new situation, where all noted down in the children. They revealed that a baby s attachment develops in this sequence: Asocial (0 6 weeks) Stimuli social and non social produce a favorable reaction, Specific attachment (7 9 months) Special preference for a single figure. The conclusion of the study was that baby s would more likely form attachments with the individuals who responded accurately to the baby s cues. Schaffer and Emerson referred to this as sensitive responsiveness. However attachment is not an all or nothing process, it has been discovered that there may be apparent variations between children in the attachments that they form. Ainsworth and Bell (1971) did a controlled observation of children s attachment behavior using the Strange Situation Classification (SSC); she did this to investigate the individual differences in attachment by seeing how babies reacted in conditions of mild stress. Ainsworth and bell utilized a laboratory using structured observations and observed infants aged 12 18 months. A Sand County Almanac Analysis A Sand County Almanac The first remark Aldo Leopold made that genuinely caught my attention was during February when Leopold was talking about the spiritual dangers in not owning a farm. Leopold discusses the work put into heating a house in the middle of winter. • 14. Mass Media In The Media Mass media is a large part of what the population consumes and identifies with; the fact that so much of life is influenced by the media is unhealthy especially considering how some of its messages are inherently sinister, and reach a worldwide audience. It has the ability to progress or devolve a society of people with the imagery it chooses to display. In the documentary, Miss Representation by Siebel Newsom, the point is raised The media is selling young people the idea that girls and women s value lies in their youth, beauty, and sexuality and not in their capacity as leaders. Boys learn that their success is tied to dominance, power, and aggression. We must value people as whole human beings, not gendered stereotypes (2011, Siebel Newsom). Infantilization, hypersexualization and dehumanization/objectification of women are epidemics that spread throughout the media to a point where it is rare, and jarring, to see a woman represented without those things. To contrast, men are often portrayed as powerful and/or of a high status. They are allowed to age and given permission to be given genuinely human traits and characteristics. This can severely impact the mindsets and behaviours of the individuals who consume these images. When young women and girls are subjected to these images hundreds of times a day for years, side effects include low self esteem, eating disorders, and self objectification. Local seafood restaurants or grocery stores cannot tell if the fish they serve to you has been affected by the hazardous pollution. The fishermen that catch the fish locally cannot see a difference between the diseased fish and normal ones either so the pollution in the community deposits into the harbor can come right back. • 19. Rough Draft About Friendship Friendship draft A true friend is someone who would stop whatever they are doing to help you through anything and you would do the same for them. In a friendship both people need to posses the same essential traits for the friendship to be successful. Friends are a big part of my life because without them life would be very dull. I think God made us to find people that we are compatible with so we can go through life together. Three traits that a person should posses to be a good friend are honesty, loyalty and encouragement. In my experience my friends who live out all three of these traits fully, are my closest friends and I hold the same traits back to them. Honesty is a difficult subject when it comes to friendship. There are two ways it can go. The first scenario being one lies to their friend because they think they are protecting their feelings. This case is bad because if you are always lying to your friend they are not going to trust you. The second scenario is you are always honest to your friend about everything. When you are being too honest it can be taken offensively and hurt the friendship. True friends find the perfect balance between the two. They are honest with each other but they discuss topics in a respectful manner. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Anselm s Existence of God Refuted Essay Anselm s Existence of God Refuted Anselm s Existence of God Refuted If the only proofs for the existence of God were Aquinas s five ways and Anselm s ontological argument, in my opinion, Anselm provides the best reasoning. I am not saying that Anselm s argument is good, or even valid, but just that given the set of proofs by Aquinas and Anselm, Anselm s is better. Anselm argues, in effect, that the existence of God is built into the very concept of God. He proceeds by a form of argument called reductio ad absurdum reduction to absurdity. He attempts to show that the position of the fool the non believer who has said in his heart, There is no God is incoherent and leads to absurdity. (Cottingham, 1996: 246) How does ... As Anselm himself points out, a painter may have the completed work of art in his mind, but that does not make it a real painting. (Cottingham, 1996: 246) What Anselm tries to show next is that in this case, having an idea in the understanding requires one to admit that the thing exists in reality as well. For suppose that God exists only in the understanding. Then we can conceive of a greater being: one who exists in reality as well. Moreover, that would mean that this God who exists only in the understanding is not the greatest conceivable being. (Cottingham, 1996: 246) Now we have a contradiction. Now come to the case of God. The GCB would have to be wise, because a wise being is greater than a being that is not wise. In addition, the GCB would have to be just, because justice is better than injustice. What Anselm is claiming is that the GCB must also exist, because a being that exists in reality is greater than one that exists merely in the understanding. So: It would be a contradiction to say; God (the GCB) is not wise It would be a contradiction to say, God is not just. In addition, it would be a contradiction to say, God does not exist. Furthermore, eschatology sheds light on the Kingdom of God, which Christ came to inaugurate. As a result of these convictions, I have chosen to write a paper discussing the amillennial position. I will primarily be discussing this position in light of Revelation 20:1 6 and will use other key passages to rightly interpret what I see in this text. At this point in my studies I m leaning towards the amillennial view with an understanding that Satan is bound through the death and resurrection of Christ, is currently prevented from ultimately deceiving the nations, and cannot hinder the spread of the gospel. I believe that we currently live in the church age and at the end of this present age, Satan will be let loose for a final battle against the church of Jesus Christ. Christ will then return and judge all of his enemies and the promised new creation will become reality where his people will bodily reign with him even as they are currently seated with him spiritually. It is my goal now to unpack these convictions and explain why I m leaning towards the amillennial position.

We wanted to see whether the color of ink that was used on a test would affect a student s performance on that test. We chose to conduct this experiment in the Sterling C. Our hypothesis was that red ink would cause that student to do more poorly on the test than the student would have done on a test with black ink. Our theory was that red ink would remind students of wrong answers on previous assignments and create a feeling of stress and anxiety. We attempted to answer this question by giving students of various genders, majors, and ages a test of medium difficulty in red and black ink and analyzing the data to find out if their scores correlated with the ink color. In order to determine whether there was a correlation between ink colors and test scores, we measured the students number of wrong answers on the test, time taken on the test, stress level, age, classification, gender, GPA, and college. The second reason he is viewed as reckless is because the first thing he does when he moves to Colorado is join a Mexican gang that tries to make him into a drug lord. Discovered in 1653, by a man named of Robert Hooke, coined the term Cells and was credited with it as well. The scientist said it reminded him of the cells of a monastery. These building blocks of life could be broken down into several different parts but the main two parts are prokaryote and eukaryote. Prokaryotes are one celled organisms such as bacteria. Prokaryotes are able to thrive in very harsh conditions including hydrothermal vents, hot springs, swamps, wetlands, and even the guts of humans and animals, called extremophiles. The mitochondria takes glucose the chloroplast has produced and turns into Adenosine Triphosphate better known as ATP. The energy source for this plant gives it the ability to regulate a limited amount of power throughout the cell to perform its usual duties to help the cell reproduce and maintain its general stability. Along the line another special organelle the helps the cell regulates the waste products, which is known as the Lysosomes. Lysosomes contain special enzymes called hydrolytic enzymes that digests the worn out organelles, macromolecules, and breaks down viruses as well. The Lysosomes comes from the endoplasmic reticulum through transport vesicles and goes to the Golgi body and that there the Lysosomes then transfers off of the membrane bound organelle and then awaits the arrival of an intruder through phagocytosis. Phagocytosis is the process by which a cell often a phagocyte or a protist engulfs a solid particle to form an internal vesicle known as a phagosome. This here breaks down the invader and dissolves it to heal the cell. • 46. The Driving Factors Of Immigrant Entrepreneurship 1.0 Introduction Immigrant entrepreneurship is a relatively new phenomenon that explores the setting up and managing of business by immigrants in their adoptive countries. Brush et al. (2010) note that immigrant entrepreneurship has become a type of growth sector because both the host and ethnic countries benefits from it. The driving factors of immigrant entrepreneurship are distinct from other forms of entrepreneurship because they accrue from necessity, and the need to survive in dismal employment situations. Bandyopadhyay et al. (2017) posits that immigrants are drawn to specific countries mostly the Organisation for Economic Co operation and Development (OECD) countries due to the push factors such as unemployment and lack of amenities in the home country and pull factors such as potential for employment and better service provision in the host country. However, these expectations may not always be met compelling the immigrant to look for other sources of income through entrepreneurship. Australia s Australian s First policy for job employment provides an apt example of natives receiving first priority in job selections (Karp, 2017). Hence, with economic insecurity and lack of employment opportunities, immigrants are forced to seek alternative income means such as self employment. Zimmerman (2016) considers immigrant risk taking in unfamiliar territories with minimum resources as fulfilling the entrepreneurial characteristics. The difference, however, is that immigrant entrepreneurship is different from other forms of entrepreneurship, particularly in terms of funding, performance and survival rate. The European Commission (2003) remarked that immigrant businesses in Europe showcase a potent entrepreneurial capacity and potential. This thesis aims to assess the extent to which immigrant entrepreneurship differs from other entrepreneurial forms. This will be achieved through a review of existing narratives on the subject. 2.0 Existing Literature Overview The existing literature on entrepreneurship stems from economical conceptual frameworks developed in the early twentieth century by Schumpeter, Cole, Kirzner among others. Fayolle (2014) notes that entrepreneurship has gained considerable study ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 47. The Negative Human Impacts On The Oceans The Negative Human Impacts on the Oceans It was Mihaljo Mesarovic, the author of Mankind at the Turning Point , who once said The Earth has cancer and the cancer is man . He was definitely onto something. In fact, humans have had a major negative impact on the world s marine environment. Throughout recent human history, it has been obvious that the wellbeing of the marine environment has been in jeopardy. Pollution of the ocean, overfishing and the greenhouse gases these are all the aspects that can cause the destroying of the precious environments, such as reefs, sea grass and coastal habitats. According to the essay and interview Seafarming at the End of the World , written by Peter Meehan, he presents the fact that human impact on the ocean is the main reason that causes the awful situation of marine ecosystem and organisms. Although the ocean covers approximately two thirds of the Earth s surface, it is surprisingly susceptible to human influences. The effects of rubbish dumping have tainted our oceans and they have taken their toll on the vast marine environments and the populations in which they contain. Rubbish dumping involves depositing all the waste materials from factories and industries, tankers and ships and sewerage waste materials into the oceans and seas. In the report Causes and Effects of Ocean Dumping , the author Sharda states that The wastes that are dumped into the oceans tend to have toxic substances which soak in all the oceanic oxygen. Evapotranspiration is the process in which water is transferred from the land to the atmosphere by evaporation (merriam webster.com). Also understanding what a deficit is, or when the amount of water being provided is too small an amount. While discussing the landforms of Baton Rouge we will discuss the Topography, or the arrangement of the natural and artificial physical features of an area (merriam webster.com). Methods Data Baton Rouge, Louisiana is located at 30Ëš27 N, 91Ëš08 and has an average elevation of 51 feet above sea level. It is located in the southeastern part of the United States.
