Magazine Advert

o Throughout my research it was evident that bands were
branded,, and were marketed with specific colours and
logos used throughout all forms of promotion and
  advertising.
o Therefore when creating my ancillary products I had to
make sure I used this idea to create familiarity throughout
the different forms of media I had produced and clearly link
them so the brand identity was distinguishable amongst
  audiences .
o It is an important factor, as the band becomes recognizable
from its band logo/house colours that repeatedly occur
through albums, posters and merchandise etc. for all the
  products to work together successfully
Here it is clear that my magazine advert and front cover of my digipack link
together. I have purposely used the same imagery so the acoustic rock theme
carries on throughout these products. I have used the same serif font for the
name of the band but in a different colour (e.g white) , this is just to catch the
readers eye. You can also clearly distinguish the house colours that are black,
white and red, as these are the stereotypical colours that signify music as it the
red can connote love/danger and the black and white signify an old fashioned,
gothic-like theme. Therefore I have used the same colour scheme in these
                                    products.
I have chosen to do this because in my music video, many of the clips are
black and white/greyscale and therefore clearly relate to the album and
advert. I have also used video still from the music video on my album
   cover, e.g.,

o Through my research I have found that
bands do this so audiences identify the
relationship with the music video. Therefore I
Have followed the forms and conventions of my
Genre
o Therefore I think that the combination of my
Music video and digipack has been successful
as they work together effectively and show a
Strong and obvious connection.
Similarly, I have used two different shots from the video and layered them for my
magazine advert. Again, I have used similar and the same fonts for titles and
other texts so the genre of music and image of the band is translated to the
audience in the same way as the digipack, to create more of successful
                               advertising campaign.

Here, I think the combination of this particular product and my music video has
worked well as they are noticeably similar and
In Conclusion…
I think the combination of my main products and ancillary
tasks are very effective. This is because the products
are well linked through the use of typography, colours
and imagery. The products are all purposely similar as I
aimed to create a set of promotional products that
compliment each other. An obvious brand identity and
band image is established and leaves no confusion
amongst its target audience which is a key factor in
making a set of successful media products that attract
audiences and that have a sense of continuity in order
for the target audience to relate to and recognize.
