This paper makes important advancements to a Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm that seeks to address the major complex attributes of engineering optimization problems, namely multiple objectives, high nonlinearity, high dimensionality, constraints, and mixed-discrete variables. To introduce these capabilities while keeping PSO competitive with other powerful multi-objective algorithms (e.g., NSGA-II, SPEA, and PAES), it is important to not only preserve population diversity (for mitigating stagnation), but also explicit diversity preservation to facilitate improved converge of (non-convex) Pareto frontiers. A new multi-domain preservation technique is presented in this paper for this purpose. In this technique, an adoptive repulsion is applied to each global leader to slow down the clustering of particles overly popular global leaders, and maintain a desirably even distribution of Pareto optimal solutions. In addition, the global leader selection is now modified to follow a stochastic solution based on a half Gaussian distribution. Specifically, two different population diversity measures are explored: (i) based on the smallest hypercube enclosing the entire population, and (ii) based on the smallest hypercube enclosing the subset of particles following each of the global leaders. Both strategies are investigated using a suite of benchmark problems. The performance of the new PSO algorithm is compared with other algorithms in terms of convergence measure, uniformity measure, and computation time.

This process seems simple right? The truth is it is, Google takes care of most everything. There are however some things you can do to increase the ability to ensure Google crawls your website.
This is a bit technical but is important
Google crawlers look for the robots.txt file first before crawling your whole website.
This file tells bots what they can and cannot crawl or index.
The “disallow” means that you don’t want google to crawl those pages
Be careful not to tell Google not to crawl your whole website
You also want to show Google where your sitemap is on your website.
From your robots file Google can location your sitemap.
This is a map of your site and all the pages
Google will use this map to track down your pages
Google doesn’t NEED this, but it makes things easier for them which is better for you
Ensure this is up to date with all the latest URL
*So, what if you are a new site, or simply don’t know if Google has crawled you at all?
The “Site:” Search.
This is a special way to search on Google.
Anyone can do this search.
What will happen is Google will give you ALL the results they have in their index for the website
It will look something like this
Note the number of results. That is the number of pages that Google has indexed. I have noticed that it isn’t exactly matched up, but it is pretty close.
For smaller websites you can easily go through the results to ensure your 7-10 pages are listed there.
Now, I think the question should be asked…what if there are no results shown, in other words, what if you find out you are not indexed.
Don’t fear, this is a fairly rare issue and has a simple fix.
*What you do is install Google Search Console (formerly GWT)
You can navigate to sitemaps and then add/test your sitemap. This gives Google an up to date sitemap for them to index and submit.
There may be other (very rare) reasons why Google hasn’t indexed you. Installing Google Search Console should be the best way. If google hasn’t indexed your site and there is a reason, Search Console will tell you.
*Now, you’ve got your site indexed. Now what? Should you expect 1st page ranking for key terms right away? Sadly no.
You see, google the librarian does all it can to server up the best results for a given search term or keyword.
I mean, who better to serve up the best results than the librarian who intimately knows each page of every book in it’s library.
With trillions of results to sift through, it can be difficult for a small business to show up #1.

Google sorts these 618 k results with the most relevant and trusted source at the top.
Once your site is indexed you have to do all you can to be found both relevant and trusted for the search terms you are targeting.
I won’t go into a whole lot of detail at this point as both relevance and trust could truly have their own webinar. But here are just a few tidbits on them both.
R – things to do with your website, specifically content and code
Edit your title tag and meta description for each page
Ensure your website content is unique (don’t copy others)
Make sure your content solves potential user concerns
All to often I see websites that lack in content because the website owner thought the user would just get the idea.
Include a clear call to action
T – Things done off your website typically in the form of links
For small businesses, I normally advise they use a credible SEO company for this. Link building is hard and has a lot of technicalities.
That being said, if you wish to do this on your own there are a couple tactics I think any business owner can do.
Business Profiles (GMB, Yelp, YP, Foursquare, Bing, etc)
Social Media (not really a linking factor but something small businesses can do to help build that trust.
*Sorry, tangent. Now, back to indexing. One way to help ensure your website is in good standing and easily indexible is to have good website design.
Obviously the website on the left looks a bit confusing, while I friendly Utah county landscaper has a clean web design. We call good website design user friendly and Google loves it!
Clean design can make a huge difference with bots who might get confused and lost on your website. Not only is it good for bots, but visitors will like you better as well.
Another thing google loves is mobile friendly website.

Google loves mobile friendly, and on mobile devices will often rank mobile friendly websites above their competitors.
*The last aspact I want to cover is Fresh content. How does a small business, say a landscaper who has been in business for 20 years and hasn’t changed much if anything about it’s business keep its website fresh? This question is very common among small business owners. The Answer is onsite blogging.
Onsite blogging is a great way to keep you website fresh with new content all the time. Google loves this and depending on how frequent you post, could increase own often Google crawls your website.
In addition to that, we have seen that those who do onsite blogging generally perform better than those that don’t do onsite blogging.
