2. I CREATED 4 DIFFERENT
SUBJECTS…
I have specifically aimed my magazine at
creative students. So, within it I have
decided to include four different creative
subjects; art, music, media and
photography. I have done this so my
magazine can be aimed at a wider niche
market and so there will always be
something within my magazine that these
arty students will be willing to read.
3. MY MAIN COVER LINE…
My main cover line ‘Media Student Of The
Year’ invites students who are interested
in media to read my magazine. Media
influences students life on a day to day
basis, so including social media (such as
facebook and twitter) within this cover
line, it will appeal to a wider niche
market, drawing in not just creative
students but typical college students as
well.
4. MY COVER LINES RELATE…
Each of my cover lines relate to my 4
chosen subjects. On my front cover I
decided to include one cover line for each
subject, so my audience could read my
front cover and know the general content. I
have done this so many different students
would be able to pick up my college
magazine and find something inside that
they’re interested in and can enjoy.
5. MY MAIN IMAGE…
I photographed my friend, Maisie, and made
her pose in a certain way. I feel that her
posture and outfit depict a typical college
student. I have done this so students picking
up my magazine feel as though they can relate
to her which will there for entice them to then
go on and read the content of my magazine.
The fact that she is smiling will also give a
friendlier approach to my magazine
encouraging students to read it.
6. MEET THE MAGAZINE TEAM…
Creating my ‘meet the magazine team’
flannel plannel shows that my magazine has
been contributed to by a group of students
enabling the readers of my magazine to
relate to them, which may encourage them
to read further issues of ‘ICONIC’. Each of
the students attend city college and each
specialise in a certain subject allowing them
to have a personal approach on each matter,
which then relates back to student reading
the magazine.
7. PUFFS…
I have included a puff feature on my
front cover. I have done this so it
draws in a larger target market
making my magazine more well
known. I have also included it so
students reading my magazine can get
involved and take a opportunity to get
something back from my magazine as
well as just reading it.
