2. Final Front cover
This is the final front cover. In order
to display the genre conventions, I
used a particular font for the
masthead that I thought portrayed
the rawness of the music. Also, for
the main image I dressed the star in
a tracksuit as this is a particularly
used piece of clothing in this
industry. Additionally, the star is
wearing a ring and two earrings,
these pieces of jewellery present
the star’s wealth. I felt that this was
the right colour scheme. In order to
make it clear to the reader what the
genre was, I included the names of
several grime and urban UK rap
artists.
3. Final Contents page
This is the final contents page. I
decided to add an element of
branding by adding a ‘G’ in the
same font as the masthead. The
letter G is the first letter of the
name of the magazine. Also, I
made it clear that this magazine
is about Grime and urban UK rap
through the contents of the
magazine – the content is about
UK artists. Furthermore, I
returned to the fact that this
magazine has an exclusive article
about a particular artist that is
doing a lot in the scene at the
moment. I singled out the page
number of his article and made it
bigger so that it is clear to the
reader that it is important.
4. Final DPS
This is the final DPS. I
decided to put the initials
of the artists name at the
top of the page and display
it as a title. This makes it
clear the article below is
about the him. I also
added an image of him to
fill up one half of the page
and a quote so that the
readers know how he
thinks. The main article is
an interview with the artist
himself. I thought this
would be a good exclusive
feature for the magazine,
as he is a well known artist
and he is becoming even
more successful at a very
quick pace. Also, I thought
that that an interview with
the artist and to hear from
him first hand would be
what readers would want
to see.
