SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Rapidly grew a startup. Seeing an untapped demand for medical practice management service in South Florida,
launched Cano America. Created a suite of services and application platforms. Enlisted 20 practices, with a patient
base of 6,000 lives first year. Generated millions in revenue, going cash positive in less than five months.
Positioned firm for growth & IPO. Cano owners wanted to assess exit strategies. Developed a strategic roadmap.
Secured $100M in new funding from a private equity firm to fuel expansion. Installed an SAP to prepare auditable
financials for investment bankers. Revenues are projected to hit $400M by 2019, opening the door a future IPO.
More than doubled revenues. Empty beds depressed revenues and profits at Kindred Hospital Hollywood. Led an
initiative to maximize admissions and reimbursements. Forged alliances with new practices/admitting physicians and
strengthened community marketing/outreach. Increased the daily census 35%, boosting revenues from $4M to $8.6M.
Beat forecasts in a consolidation. Select Specialty needed to revamp hospital-in-a-hospital operations. Pulled four
operations out of partner facilities. Set up a standalone facility for respiratory and internal medicine. Cut costs with no
reduction in patient population. Beat forecasts by 15% posting $6.9M 1
st
yr. and 20% with $8.4M in profits 2
nd
yr.
Tripled profits in a turnaround. Kindred Hospital Atlanta was losing revenue, profits and staff at an alarming rate.
Seeing morale and satisfaction as key threats, launched a training/engagement initiative. Cut attrition and improved
physician satisfaction to an all-time high. Increased physician recruitment. Took profits from $4.7M to $16M+.
