The pictures show all of her recent projects through which she has gained large sums of money.
There are 10 images in total, each showing how much money she received from them, these could
be shown to emphasise just how many features Barker has appeared in and how much she has
gained from them. The article also grabs the readers attention, as there are so many pictures. This
could also put more of an emphasis on her looks, she is quite good looking and this may attract

Initially, I was enrolled in a Chinese kindergarten and I was exposed to Mandarin. Then, I

I ve written before about my younger sister, Kathryn Mary, who was born on September 13, 1972.
Within a couple of days of her birth, her doctors discovered that she had Down syndrome and a
heart defect that was going to eventually need to be corrected with open heart surgery.
Unfortunately, Kathryn never got to a point where she had enough strength and stamina to
withstand a surgery. She was so weak that she was never able to turn herself over or crawl on the
floor. She gained very little weight during the 13 months that she was with us. She died on
October19, 1973.
Kathryn was with us for only one Christmas, and there is only one thing that I remember about that
day. My grandfather, Tom Williams, came over to our house and when he saw my mom holding
Kathryn, he said in a loud voice, She s the best Christmas present you could ever ask for. You
should wrap a red bow around her and forget about all the other presents.
Shortly after the birth of our little Christmas present, one of her doctors told my parents that
children who are born with Down syndrome have a great love of and appreciation for music. The
doctor encouraged my parents to play music for Kathryn as often as possible. My mom did what
the doctor told her to do and played soothing music as often as possible, especially when she was

Art is an expression of free speech in a sense. However, some seek to influence and sensor an
individual s artistic expression. Socrates believes that banning certain works of art from his
ideal city is the best course of action for everyone. I will argue that Socrates is correct in his
assessment that controlling the flow of art is for the betterment of society. By banning certain
works of art, the souls of the young can be molded into an image that loves truth and honesty.

Science fiction is a genre that has characteristics such as a futuristic setting and a human element.
It is based on controversial areas of science or specific theories that have not yet been proven to
be true. Science fiction works depict what may happen in the future as an effect of what
technology and events exist presently. The genre of the short story There Will Come Soft Rains by
Ray Bradbury is identifiable as science fictionthrough the setting, character and plot. Firstly, the
setting of the short story is a huge indicator that the genre is science fiction. It takes place August
24, 2026 on a rainy day in a community where everything is destroyed, except for one house.
During the nighttime the ruined city gave off a radioactive glow which could be seen for miles
(Bradbury). The radioactive glow infers that nuclear war had obliterated everything. Since this
hasn t happened yet, but isn t a totally unbelievable event in the future, it can be classified as
science fiction. The one house standing is a completely different setting. The house was made to
take care of itself and all the people who used to live inside it. For example, after the house
prepared breakfast which no one ate, dirty dishes were dropped into a hot washer and emerged

In today s culture, there are several controversies that drive the forefront of social gatherings,
private debate, and especially political races. Whether you know it or not, if you assimilate into
society in anyway, you probably have an opinion on some issues in today s culture. Some major
