This document summarizes a project to analyze microcontroller cooling using jet impingement. It will involve modeling an existing microcontroller to determine current overheating issues. A cooling solution will then be designed using CFD software and prototyped, exploring either external jet impingement from the car's radiator or internal impingement using a vibrating membrane. The goal is to efficiently cool the microcontroller below maximum temperatures while minimizing weight and power demands for an autonomous vehicle.
